I tried their Lox bagel. The portion size is small for the price (even including the bag of chips or pastry of your choice), and there was too much cream cheese in proportion to the other ingredients, including red onion, salmon, capers, tomato, and cucumbers. The salmon was delicious, and it paired well with the crispiness of the bagel and the other ingredients. Service was friendly and the location is great in the heart of Sacramento! read more

I settled for a cheese bagels with a schmeer and I liked that they didn't overdo it with the cream cheese, just a nice, reasonable amount. Bagels are a comfort food and can be even more filling when you load them up with eggs, protein, and everything else to get your day started. This takes me one of many "Noah's NY Bagels" with this one being in the heart of Midtown Sacramento. Located at the corner of 19th St/J St, this place has been around for several decades and has been a go-to spot for many people getting their bagel fix. And since it neighbors a Starbucks, it is common for many people to go to both locations. I came here during the morning of Saturday 10/5/2024 at around 9:00am. There were about 4 employees which meant it was pretty well-staffed for that time of day. However, a few drawbacks is that this location offered no indoor seating (which I'm thinking was eliminated dating back to the COVID days). And unfortunately, their public restroom was also out of order. Not a good look especially if you have to go and may need to sacrifice next door at Starbucks. Since I had already purchased my coffee at a different business, I came specifically for their food. This is where I tried their "Farmhouse" bagel; this consisted of thick-cut bacon, ham, cheddar cheese, and pepper shmear on a six-cheese gourmet bagel. This was priced at around $8 + tax (as of October 2024). Even though there were several customers before me, my bagel was ready in a timely manner, roughly 5 minutes. As I mentioned, there was no indoor seating but ample outdoor seating. Since this area gets a ton of foot traffic and unfortunately, some of the homeless folks, your visit might be an unexpected one. I encountered a vagrant with his dog who was under the influence of something. But worst of all, he was smoking a cigarette in the enclosed seating area. Disgusting! That's when I took matters in my own hands and left to go inside of Starbucks. Overall, the bagel was delicious and packed quite a bit of bacon, ham, egg, and cheese for a filling breakfast. All in all, "Noah's NY Bagels" is a good safe place to get a delicious bagel; but to me, it's just average at-best. The staff at this particular location didn't really have much personality while they could care less of the riff-raff with homeless and solicitors that are vacating the exterior of the building. With that said and done, I am giving the Midtown Sacramento Noah's Bagels just an average three-star rating. read more

I had a really frustrating experience at Noah's New York Bagels. I placed an online order and ended up waiting inside the store for over 35 minutes with no updates or acknowledgment from the staff. The employees were completely inattentive and offered zero help while I stood there waiting. It wasn't until I finally asked about my order that they told me someone had accidentally taken it. No one had checked on it, no proactive communication, nothing. This is unacceptable, especially for a simple online order. The lack of awareness and basic customer service was disappointing. This is a tough one. Solely based on the food itself it was amazing... see my pic of my awesome hot pastrami bagel here. Her bacon, egg & cheese bagel she said was ok but slight... we ordered and I went to the Starbucks next store to get a coffee so we could sit & eat since Noah's doesn't have any seating... so I am admittedly getting the service experience second hand: the dude making the sandwiches was fine, but the mute girl behind the counter could not be bothered by anyone. It seemed like everyone was stoned, which works well if the guy is making you a sandwich, but for customer service not so much. I get that this is Sacramento but damn. We've stopped in a couple times over the last week to satisfy some bagel cravings. My husband loves their pretzel bagels with cream cheese. I tend to order bagels bagels with lox, so I got their Nova Lox Sandwich on an everything bagel during one of our visits. The cucumbers seemed watery and not crunchy and fresh, I ended up taking them off the sandwich. This location is always above and beyond. Today I'm home pregnant and starving and my DoorDash order shows up completely wrong (cue pregnancy nausea and tears). I called Noah's bagels (DoorDash's fault, it wasn't Noah's bagels fault, but I wanted to make sure my reorder was correct). They apologized and explained about the dashers and threw in multiple extra items. I told them my main concern was it being cold when it landed, and they took extra care to make sure it came warm! One of our better bagel choices downtown (well technically midtown, but we come here a lot from downtown because it's just right there and all), and I am glad for it. It's between Noah's and Il Fornaio for delicious bagels, but I think Noah's has them beat with the office catering efficiency. I've been coming here for years, either for myself, or for my team. Wait times may vary, and vary drastically, but as long as I give myself the time to get there and back again, it's tickety boo. I can rely on this location and I appreciate that. My favorites are the standard millennial could make at home but also wants reasons to write yelp reviews smeared avocado on toasted bagel, the chocolate chip cookie, the plain cream cheese shmear (I know how boring of me), the asiago bagel, and in the digestive before times, the cheddar jalapeno bagel. The coffee is surprisingly good, too. The vanilla hazelnut Chelsea medium? roast is where it's at for me. They have some breakfast pastry things that are also really good, but I can't remember which one I like best. I think it has berries on it, if anyone is taking notes. Edit: The author went to look at her own notes for once, and reader, it was the strawberry and cream streusel I like the variety of options they offer, with many beyond just bagels and spreads. They have breakfast sandwiches, avocado "toast," pastries, actual lox if you're into that, brekkie burritos, pizza bagels, muffins, baked hashbrown bricks, coffee, juices, teas, and other sweet and savory thingies. There are many bagel and schmear flavors as well, from the healthier to the very much not healthier. People who want sweet bagels? People who want plain bagels? People who want onion bagels? They got you. I think they have one of the better plain bagels that I've had, but then again I have never been to NYC. The Horror. There's a tiny parking area behind the building, and street metered parking as well, so be prepared for that. Sometimes they have vegan spread, but sometimes they are out. I was hesitant to come here after reading the reviews but I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. We mobile ordered because we saw it can get pretty busy, especially on farmers market mornings. The order was placed at 11:02 and said it would be ready by 11:22. When we arrived, the place was packed so we anticipated it would be a longer wait. The space is small and there are no seats inside or outside, forcing people to stand around and watch the workers prepare the food. While waiting, we observed a very hectic work space. The pile of receipts was unorganized and the cleanliness of the counters was a bit concerning. The employees weren't working together and constantly bumping into each other. A customer who was there before me asked to check on his order and the man behind the corner began shouting loudly and aggressively stating "do you see how busy it is here, your order is not my priority". It made the very small space feel awkward and hostile. We eventually got our food around 11:40 and my "caramel cream cold brew" had no cream in it and tasted very bitter. At that point I didn't even want to deal with the customer service so I threw it away. Also, my roommate's bagel had cream cheese on it that tasted sour. For as long as I've worked downtown this has been a breakfast staple for my team! The bagels are always so fresh with a nice fluffy inside yet soft and firm exterior. You can truly taste the difference. As many times as I've had this I've never been disappointed. My favorite cream cheese of theirs is the Honey Almond. Bits of a soft crunch for texture and slight sweetness to give you that pep in your step for early mornings. I cannot speak on their service but when I do come here on my own I will provide an updated review. They have some mouthwatering breakfast sandwiches I will have to give a try! read more

Last time I had Noah's Bagels was at a office meeting before the pandemic. They are a popular choice for catering in the office. Bagels are fresh and with many variety of bagels. My first time inside the J Street location. I was surprised to see they also had potato rolls, challah and muffins too. I had the Garden Avocado on a Everything Bagel. You can customize the way you want it. I had egg whites instead of eggs. I wish they had put a little more cream cheese on the bagel. Other than that, it was very good. Good option to grab breakfast to go. You can also eat there. There are about 6 stools and narrow counter space. The whole transaction took less than 15 minutes and there were three people in front of me. You can also order online for pick-up. Street parking only. read more

I passed by this shop a few times and I got curious about their selection of bagels. I am very glad I chose to enter because I enjoyed my Santa Fe Sausage Bagel and the Vanilla Cold Brew was pretty nice too. The storefront is simple with a coffee bar area off to the side for customers. Service is prompt and fast, but due to space, there is no actual place to eat if you wanted to sit down. There is however I length of table surface by the windows which may be a quick place to make yourself ready before leaving the shop. Since the main offering are bagels, it doesn't seem too out of the ordinary to just grab your food and go. read more

Noah's is one of our favorite places to go to breakfast. Unfortunately, there isn't one in Elk Grove yet, but we gladly make the trek a few times a month. Parking is easy to find in the lot located directly behind the restaurant. They serve a variety of bagels and spreads, baked goods, drinks, and sandwiches. On Mondays, they have a killer baker's dozen to go deal. I love a plain bagel toasted with the garlic and chive cream cheese. My wife loves everything bagels with the garlic and chive or veggie spread. Their baked goods are all pretty good. Service is typically pretty good. Sometimes, the wait times are a little longer than we would hope due to them being slammed with catering or online orders. Sometimes, we end up eating in our car since seating can be hit or miss. It's not in the greatest part of town, but we've never felt unsafe here. read more

But I have ordered in person, just a bagel and smear and typically they are pretty quick. I don't think I've ever waited more than 5-10 min max on a busy day. Noah's is all about bagels, but this branch makes the worst bagels. Might as well get them from Costco until they learn how to make real Noah's bagels. A warm toasted bagel sounded delicious on a cold Saturday morning so we stopped in for a quick snack. Apparently everyone else had the same idea. It was pretty busy with a steady flow of customers coming in and out, and customers waiting around for their orders. They do have markers for standing in line to remain socially distanced, but that was about it since everyone was still standing inside waiting for orders. They also have sneeze guards at the registers but those weren't really helpful because I noticed a lot of customers talking to the cashier on the side of it because of the muffled sounds. I wanted to try the French toast bagel but they were out so I went with a cinnamon sugar bagel with strawberry shmear. Seems simple enough.. Well it still took 20 minutes to get our two bagel orders. We weren't the only ones waiting either. They did apologize every time they finally handed someone their order. I noticed she gave two cookies to one girl who was waiting, and didn't give anything to others. She offered us a free soda for waiting, but who wants to drink soda at 10am? I would've taken the cookies. Yummy bagels but not worth waiting anything longer than a few minutes for.
