Decidedly mixed experience at this hot new place, and giving it an optimistic 3 stars for an interesting menu, and with hopes it will improve over time. The food was just ok. Their house burger was great, but the Dynamite shrimp and brussels sprouts were mediocre at best. Shrimp weren't really tempura, there was no spice kick at all (dynamite?) and the teriyaki dipping sauce was way too sweet, no surprise. And the brussels sprouts were drowning in a wildly sweet balsamic, literally covering the first layer of what seemed like they could have been tasty sprouts. Also want to talk about atmosphere, or more specifically comfort. Noble House is just one of the huge wave of newer places that seem to think more TV's than you can count, painfully uncomfortable metal chairs and tons of high-tops are appealing. Or maybe I'm missing the point, and they don't want us comfortable, or able to talk naturally. Service was solid, especially for a fairly new place. I'll probably give it another shot as it's a broad, interesting menu, and we didn't explore the BBQ side of the things at all. Rooting for this place to find its footing and offer a more comfortable (and less sweet) option in its great location. read more

I love BBQ and they do have some good items on the menu, the smoked chicken is good and the Tots are great. That said, service is slow at best, everything is overpriced, if they're not busy they just close, and worst of all no one working there wears a mask even though it's a state mandate. Not the waitstaff, not the bartenders, not even the teenage hostesses. Brazen disregard for health and safety. Makes me wonder if they refrigerate or follow any other sanitary procedures. read more

Even though this location just opened they did a great job with staffing, food and beer! I had the Nachos and they were awesomely delicious. The beer selection is totally for the beer nerd in everyone. Ask for Mark, he was very helpful in the beer and food recommendations! read more

Went here since I wanted to try something new with my buddy and WOW great food. I had the lobster roll, Brussels sprouts, and coleslaw and friend had the salmon burger which he liked and the burnt ends for apps. We had an excellent dinner. I had the ribs which were dry rub, with a nice balance of sweetness and spicyness. The BBQ house chips are excellent. Service was a little slow, which is natural given that its new. The space itself, I really liked , it is spacious and laid out well. We will definitely be coming back. read more

A nice new place in Glen Ellyn, feels like a welcome addition to the food forward area in the western suburbs. I know it has only been open for a few weeks so I want to give a thoughtful review, knowing that some things need to be ironed out in the weeks to come. First, the space is very nice! We sat at the bar for dinner on a week night and was impressed with both the beer selection and the vibe. Bar staff was attentive and friendly. The whole space is very inviting, with some very nice hi-top communal tables as well as comfortable four tops along with a mix of regular tables. It was a weeknight but there were quite a lot of full tables. Second, the food....it was okay. It felt like a mixed opportunity. Your restaurant is only as good as you kitchen staff and tonight I felt line they missed the mark. I had the barbecue combo sandwich, the cowboy. It was really just okay, the brisket on the sandwich was cut into cubes? I have never seen this, shredded or cut into slices. Either way, it wasn't very well seasoned.The pit ham was dry, the bread was average. The dressing and pickles on the sandwich were very good. The sandwich was slightly cold when it go to the bar, could have been really tasty if it was hot and meaty like the menu suggested. But the cheddar cheese seemed like an afterthought, not melted, just placed on the sandwich with no real effort to melt it or make it more appetizing. Fries? Meh...seemed a little dry and undercooked? Great pickle spear! My husband had the Maine lobster roll. This one really missed the mark! A Maine lobster roll is mayo forward and creamy, this one looked anemic and tasted the same. Small pieces of lobster and super dry, where was the creaminess? When I think of a Maine lobster roll, this is not it. Sauce on the side was mediocre. Tots were tasty. I hope that the kitchen starts putting more thought and effort in the menu, it is truly a great space and could be really awesome. read more

My husband and i wanted to try this place after seeing it on check please. However, it was extremely disappointing. We ordered the appetizer smoked poutine, very good meat and the cheese on top was good but meat was very skimpy and the friies were not crisp as description stated. Pricey for the portion as well. We ordered the NOHO prize platter thinking this would be a good sampling of all the meats. The pulled pork was very good. The turkey and ham were extremely salty and dry. The rib portion was so tough we couldnt even cut apart the 4 ribs that we got with our knife. The brisket was tasty but also dry. Their selection of bbq sauces on the platter were nothing special. Ate here TWO nights in a row. Came with a girlfriend one night and told hubby about it (and brought leftovers home) so he and I went the next night. Service was top notch both nights with very personable servers who actually seemed to be enjoying their work. The food... in believable quality, portions and very reasonable cost. Alabama chicken was amazing as were the brussel sprouts! Brisket sandwich also excellent and the B&B pickles...wow! And I am NOT a pickle fan but I ate ALL of mine! Great atmosphere and even on two cold nights it was nice and toasty inside. Did I mention some of the best Sangria I've ever had?? Got the red both nights....amazing! This was my first time eating here. The menu was very interesting and had a lot of meat choices. I had the 3 egg omelette with brisket, pulled pork and bacon...very good. However, I was dismayed to see the chefs with lengthy beards preparing the food!! Yes, they wore caps on their heads, but they had lots of facial hair exposed and not covered or netted. My family of 3 have been to Nobel House three times for dinner and once for brunch in the first few weeks since it opened. We have loved most of the food including the Alabama Chicken (a favorite that one of us has ordered each time we've gone), the brisket and the Salmon Caesar salad. The only entree that was not delicious was the lobster roll - the lobster was over cooked and rubbery. The drinks are yummy, the restaurant and bar area were inviting and the staff and service were great. I wish they had a call ahead service as their popularity means long lines on the weekend-but if you go on a weekend or for a late lunch/ early weekend dinner you shouldn't have too long of a wait (3:30 Saturday afternoon is the sweet spot!) read more

I've been here twice now, and really enjoyed both experiences. They have a very attentive bar staff (even on a very busy Saturday night) and their food offering is original and satisfying. Their draft beer offerings are numerous, local, and IPA heavy. Their food menu is interesting and absolutely tasty. Their side dishes, and appetizers, are so good, you can make a meal of them alone. On a very busy Saturday night, the wait (15-20 mins) for a table was reasonable. Once we were seated, the service was impeccable. Our waiter, Robert, was incredible, and efficient. I hesitate to recommend this place, because I want to keep it for myself. But honestly, this place is a treat. Go there, and enjoy. read more

My husband, 9 month old daughter and I went to Nobel House after the line into the Food Truck Fest at Cantigny drove us far away. I was super bummed to not partake in the event as we do not get out much with my daughter. So we decided to try somewhere new. Nobel House did not disappoint. It was very crowded when we arrived. We had about a 30 minute wait, which ended up being only 20 minutes. The hostess was very accommodating with my daughter. Because we could not find a place to put her stroller, she happily let us put it next to her hostess stand. The poor girl could barely move in and out of the stand. I felt so bad, but extremely grateful that she let us place it there! The wait staff was very friendly as well. We ordered the tots which were amazing, but so filling with the pulled pork. When I go back I might just have that as a meal instead! I could not finish my brisket tacos because we had eaten the tots. The brisket tacos weren't as good as Pierce Tavern's but they were tasty. Our bill was about 60 bucks with three drinks - two meals and an appetizer. Overall, our experience was great! Anywhere that can happily accommodate a family with a baby is a win in my book. read more

Being in the industry myself, It's hard to write any bad review for a restaurant trying to operate during COVID. However, for the price your paying versus the quality your getting it feels almost like an injustice. I ordered the Alfred classic burger, and to call it a smash burger is the furtherest thing from the truth. I expected a thin and crispy edged patty and received two unnaturally round, gray, frozen patties. The side of fries were also frozen provided by their food service company. For $16 bucks at least hand cut your own fries and use fresh meat. My fiancée ordered the French toast which was okay, but was only served with 6-7 berries and canned whipped cream. They also said served with maple syrup and I could see them squeezing it out of the log cabin bottle. The burnt ends did come out very good as a starter, and really expected more out of the rest of the meal. Just make better food if you're charging your guests that much. That's all it really comes down to. read more

Calling all oyster fans... I repeat calling all oyster fans! A wide variety of east & west coast fresh oysters as well as lemon garlic butter char grilled oysters, heaven. If that's not enticing enough for you they have a large selection of craft beers, staple signature cocktails (although I do wish they had more vodka options). I stopped in & sat at the bar for lunch... their house salad was beyond satisfying & my boyfriend enjoyed the smoked cowboy sandwhich & tots I brought to him for lunch while at work. Love love love the exposed brick, rustic wood paneling & over all ambiance. Can't wait to go back for brunch- which, unfortunately, is only served on Saturday & Sunday's. Either way I'll be dreaming about those oysters until I get to go back for more! read more

My wife and I decided to "try out" the new place in town. Nobel House has been open for a week or so. We went for lunch. It was quite busy, but the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had the fish tacos and the smoked brisket sandwich. Large selection of sides. We chose the sweet potato fries and onion rings. Everything was delicious, even the pickles that came with the sandwich. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.
