Nobibi is finally in the OC! This is one of my favorite spots when I would visit friends up in Claremont and I'm so happy they're here! I love Nobibi's soft serve options because they're not too sweet and there's a variety of things to order like drinks and cotton candy and they even have tacos at this location which is awesome! I visited today with some friends and got their ninja soft serve. Its hands down one of my favorite soft serves because you can really taste the chocolate and the pocky and oreo alongside it compliments it perfectly. My friend had their Oreo Midnight with cornflakes--do not skip out on cornflakes in your soft serve, its GOOD! Did I mention free toppings? There are free toppings. Stopped by Nobibi in Santa Ana and tried the Mango Oolong Fresh Fruit Tea. The mango tastes fresh and natural, and the earthy oolong flavor really shines through without being overpowered by sweetness. The shop is clean and clearly newly opened, with a nice, welcoming vibe. I happened to spot Nobibi while driving through Garden Grove and decided to swing in and check it out. Ok I admit, as a dedicated Yelper I always have my head on a swivel looking for places to try. Turns out this was their grand opening, and I may have been one of their first customers (always fun to be an OG ). I ordered the milk-flavored soft serve with biscotti and wow... really, really good. The soft serve was ultra creamy and smooth, almost like premium ice cream instead of your typical soft serve. The caramel sauce was perfectly sweet and rich, and the biscotti cookie pieces were crispy and buttery, sprinkled on top and some along the sides of the cup. And the surprise bonus? There were little crispy bits sitting at the bottom of the dish too, adding the perfect crunch with every spoonful. The creaminess of the ice cream, the sweetness of the caramel, and the crispiness of the cookie all came together perfectly. Definitely a sweet treat that was worth the calories. They also had several other soft serve flavors like mango, black sesame, and milk tea, plus a solid menu of boba and specialty drinks. The owners and staff were super friendly and clearly excited to get things rolling. The inside has a cool, clean vibe and parking was easy. I saw there are already other Nobibi locations around Southern California, and this is the newest one to open in Central OC, near the foodie paradise of Little Saigon (GG, WM, SA)! I've actually seen Nobibi locations all around Orange County, so it as nice seeing them opening up a new shop in Santa Ana. The Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream was a Chocolate Ice Cream base with a good amount of pistachios, Strawberries, and Kadayif. I would say the chocolate ice cream isn't a soft serve but a bit more on the icy end, which actually paired well with the strawberries and kadayif. There's been a craze with all of the Dubai Chocolate food items, and the ice cream does well replicating the dubai chocolate flavor in ice cream form. What surprised me the most was the Matcha Latte! I didn't expect that they would be using good quality matcha, but I was able to taste the strong and apparent flavors of matcha in the drink. While it was definitely on the sweeter end, I believe you can actually adjust the sweetness level to your taste. The Uji Matcha Milk Frost was also very good and had a decent matcha flavor. The drink also has cheese foam and oreo crumbs within the drink, which matches very well with the matcha! The Lychee Dragonfruit Fruit Tea Slush is a good choice if you are in the mood for fruity drinks! This one was topped with cheese foam, so make sure the mix well with the drink! Service: All of the staff members were fast and friendly. I went during their grand opening weekend, so there were SO MANY PEOPLE. Even when it was busy, the staff members made sure I was taken care of and checked in with me multiple times throughout my visit. Ambiance: Indoor and Outdoor Seating. The inside is not super spacious, but they have a lot in there like the crane machines and decorations to take pictures with. I heard so much about this Boba shop , and ordered Uber on a rainy day . The egg waffle with pork floss was good but I wish I could eat it there because bringing it home does not taste the same . When you get a sundae that looks better than the picture on the menu, you already know you're in for something good. First time walking in, I was greeted right away by one of the owners and a staff member behind the counter, and they were both awesome. Super friendly, really welcoming, and just had great energy. It made the whole experience feel fun right off the bat. I ordered the Oreo sundae with vanilla soft serve. It came out looking picture-perfect. Creamy ice cream, lots of chocolate drizzle, crushed Oreos packed on top, and they throw in a full Oreo cookie and a couple chocolate sticks. And at the very bottom, they added cornflakes, which gave it a really interesting and surprising crunch at the end. The service wasn't excessively slow, but waiting over 15 minutes for a simple milk tea is disappointing. More importantly, the drink itself missed the mark the boba wasn't chewy, and the sweetness level was much higher than requested. Biscotti caramel ice cream was so good. The ice cream is rich, milky but not too heavy. Like the perfect soft serve. It's a big portion. Husband got the strawberry and when they came out we immediately realized we should've ordered one to share. Both were delicious but the biscotti caramel was better IMO. I was really excited to visit and try this new spot, and it didn't disappoint. I enjoyed the roasted milk tea brûlée. The drink had a perfect mix of milk tea, creamy cheese foam, and crème brûlée. Came here on Saturday Jan 10th morning and lined up, excited. We were the 40th in line which according to their posts n promotion we should be getting free ice cream, Keychain and lunchbag. We got the tickets for the ice cream. When we got to the register we were told they ran out of the lunchbags n Keychains.
