I came here for the Backstreet Boys martini, and it didn't disappoint. It was cool to watch them make, and the Ube Espresso martini was great. Service was excellent. It was hard to find the door to get out, lol. I'll definitely get another one when I go back.
My last meal in Vegas ended up being my best. I kept smelling this place every time I walked by during the convention all week and finally stopped in before leaving. So glad I did. I got the 3-set with salmon, yellowtail and spicy tuna, and everything tasted incredible!! Seating is limited, so come early. They up open at 11.
Service could use some work. Not very friendly. The rolls are small. You have to pay an extra charge of $5 to get your roll cut. They didn't automatically give wasabi and ginger. They also don't hand roll them but they have a machine rolling it. Very small menu with no substitutions.
It's a cute small spot in the food area of Venetian. The service was fairly quick, the rolls came out quick as well. My favorite was the salmon truffle. For handrolls, the salmon and spicy tuna were delicious.
Kinda came here on a whim, meaning it wasn't on my radar. I just did some searches, and was like, "let's go here!" After looking at the menu (rather small), I said to my group, "We don't have to go here..." But man am I glad that we didn't pass on the experience! It was so cool to go from the busy Venetian to this quiet, chill, laid back sushi bar/speakeasy. Our server was great! The food, just as good! And cocktails-- also up to par! There was a wagyu tartare on the special menu for the night. We got it, of course. And after one taste, I said to our server, "This needs to be on your menu every night." Hats off to the chef, bartenders, and wait staff! Thanks for a great night. Cheers!

Nomikai continues to be one of those Vegas spots my wife and I talk about long after the trip is over. The food really is that memorable. This visit I ordered the 4-set along with two pieces of toro, and the toro especially reminded me why I came back. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, balanced, and well thought out. The quality here is hard to deny. That said, the service definitely kept this from being a 5-star experience. While the sushi bar has a very trendy, upscale vibe, some of the staff came across a little too aware of it. There were multiple times I tried to get my server's attention and was pretty clearly ignored. I even noticed a similar interaction happen with another guest nearby, so it didn't feel like a one-off situation. The awkwardness peaked when I asked for the check. A different server ended up printing what she assumed was the other patron's bill instead of mine, despite me asking first, and the other guest actually had to correct her. It was strange and honestly made the experience feel a bit colder than it needed to. Still, the food absolutely delivers, and that's ultimately why I'd come back. If the service matched the quality of the sushi, this place would easily be one of my favorite spots in Vegas.
Service and food were great. Small place in casino. Upscale prices. Couldn't believe small bubbly water was $8. I'd eat there again.
Last night, I had reservations for the speakeasy. If you are visiting Las Vegas, I encourage you to make a reservation because it's a small establishment, and the sushi bar out front has limited seats as well. The concept of a sushi speakeasy that offers crafted drinks in the heart of one of the busiest casinos seemed intriguing to me, so I was excited to give it a try. This place offers a curated, intimate experience. First, as I checked in, the location and check-in experience seemed different. There isn't a big sign- compared to other restaurants in Restaurant Row- and it's discreet, easy to miss. The friendly hosts greet you with a smile and use a card to unlock the door and let you in. That felt unique! As you enter the hallway, the noise from the outside disappears, and dim lights with soft neon Japanese characters and a muted painting greet you. It was a totally different environment from the hustle and bustle of the Venetian. As you sit down at your table, you notice the relaxed ambiance with viby music and deep textures around. The menu is limited, but that's pretty usual for a speakeasy. Everything we had was delicious and fresh! The standouts were the tuna pizza and cod hand roll. The pizza was the perfect balance - paper-thin, crunchy crust with buttery and velvety tuna with a hint of lime and heat. Yum! The miso cod was the perfect umami bite- sweet and savory miso, with a hint of sugar and soy - clean and bright! Next time, I will try one of their sakes or whisky drinks. Overall, it was a great experience. They definitely delivered with what to expect from a speakeasy- an intimate, focused environment with a focus on sushi in terms of quality and precision. I wish it were a little more interactive- like the servers explaining where the fish comes from or even giving you some background information on some of the dishes. I would have liked to know the concept behind a tuna pizza. I guess I could have asked, but sometimes, especially with a speakeasy, you want a storytelling experience and educational journey that is easily built in. I get this from the food, drink, and even the ambiance from the furniture, decorations, and design, but not really from anyone who works there.
Nomokai was an accidental find but a pleasant one. A sushi speakeasy located in the Venetian in the corridor leading to the hotels restaurant row. Walk up and grab a seat at the bar or to go with the window for pickup. With small bites priced to not break your wallet, I was humbly surprised by how fresh and delicious the offerings were. This is a genuine hidden gem that isn't hidden at all. Do not walk right past. They offer quick sushi bites packed with flavor without being too heavy (as I was going to a buffet afterward). All I have to say is the experience was excellent. From the friendly service to the sampling of what they have to offer will bring me back. First, the salmon truffle kosho was a beautiful present of salmon. From the plump size and marbling provides a delightful bite. The truffle is there and highlights the salmon without being overwhelming. Then, my favorite bite was was the recommended miso black cod. It came out warm wrapped in a soybean sesame wrap filled with miso marinated cod (you will continue to crave), rice and katif. Highly recommend! Fresh ingredients, delicious bites of sushi and very affordable which is hard to fine in a town like Vegas!
3.6.26 - Was a bit hungry and wanted a small snack before my friend arrived and remembered seeing this place when walking around earlier. It was a bit busy at first but they were able to get a spot cleared. The workers here are pretty chill and chat with you a bit. I ordered the Premium Set, the Chili Red & Yuzu Green sauces, and the Nitro Matcha on Tap. Went from a small snack to a full meal... lol. The matcha on tap tasted like matcha water, which isn't my thing. I prefer it latte style and sweet. Both dipping sauces were good. The premium set was delicious! Good quality and fresh. My favorites were the Hokkaido scallops and the toro caviar. The other 2 were good too. I just liked the cold, raw choices more. Bill total was $62.86. Went to their speakeasy later that evening with my friend and her friend cuz I had to try the Ube Expresso Martini. Love the speakeasy vibe. It's dark and moody in there and they had some good music playing. Also like that they offer omakase in here. Honestly, I can't remember if I liked the drink cuz the drink from Juliet Cocktail Room got me buzzed. I think I did? I also ordered 2 uni hand rolls as well. Bill was $76.95! More than earlier. Uni hand rolls were $25 each. Bit overpriced imo. My friend and her friend also got some hand rolls too plus the Bluefin Tuna Pizza. The truffle oil is strong on that dish. Im sensitive to that smell so didn't touch that dish. Also tried the hand roll places in Aria and Cosmo too but I like this place more. Need to retry that ube expresso martini again and try their omakase next time!
Love the set up. Right in the middle of restaurant row. Vegas is over priced everywhere but the portion and size of the cut hand rolls is what knocked this place to a a 4. The edamame and poke bowl is what kept this review afloat. The tuna wasn't as fresh as I would like but the salmon made up for it in the bowl.
Delicious, roll your eyes to the back of your head meal! It's pricy but such great quality fish at a place so inland. We got the premium and 4 set and doubled up on rolls we really liked. I loved the scallop, blue carb and miso black cod hand rolls. It could get difficult around peak lunch time but the line doesn't get long, just always filled seats. I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys a good hand roll
Nomikai is a newly opened sushi bar in the restaurant row connecting the Venetian and Palazzo. We walked by it a few times and eventually decided with needed to try it. They are located right across Chica. The sushi bar has about 12-15 seats. They also have window for to-go ordering. Apparently, they also have a speakeasy which we found out after. We dined here shortly after opening around 11AM. The staff here were some of friendliest people. The chef making our orders and the waitstaff were extremely hospitable. Something cool to note, they have a wall of "Roll Record" where they had a handful of customers listed and amount of handrolls they ate during one sitting. The highest was apparently 25, but the staff stated that same person came by and at 31 handrolls! You can do the math on how much that cost, but that's crazy! We decided to share the 4-Set handrolls which were Salmon/Yellowtail/Dungeness Crab/Spicy Tuna. The cost was $28 and we extra $3 dipping sauces of Chili Red and Yuzu Green. PRO TIP: order the dipping sauces, they were BOMB, they pair perfectly with all the handrolls. The making of the handrolls came out as fast as we were eating them. All of the options from the 4-set were delicious. The Dungeness Crab and the salmon were my personal favorites. We'd recommended Nomikai if you love sushi and are craving handrolls. Came for the Matcha nitro - stayed for the legit rolls (more like Sugarfish's kazunori rather than like traditional hand rolls btw). I was at the Venetian/Palazzo for a conference and just needed a mid-day pick me up. The matcha nitro didn't really taste THAT different but I enjoyed the small caffeine boost. We shared the YELLOWTAIL SERRANO sashimi - 4 pieces for $13 is pretty premium but it's vegas baby. Fresh and tasty! I also had a crab hand roll as a supplment as well! If I were more hungry, I would've totally sprang for the POKE BOWL but just needed a little snack. You can order online for pick up btw! read more
There are just not enough stars to review this place. I would give it 10000 if I could. Heck, I just might!! By the time you finish reading this review, I hope you're already calling to reserve a spot, adding it to your bookmarks or itinerary or looking at the menu so you can start getting hungry ASAP. We ate so much -- a lot for 2 people but everything was well worth it. Dont forgrt sake or beers to wash it all down. What we ate: ** Shrimp Cocktail - solid 9/10 they were meaty and the cocktail sauce was really good. Presentation was chef's kiss ** Chicken Truffle Dumplings - 8/10 I personally dont like truffle so it wasnt my fav but overall taste was really good ** Bluefin Tuna Pizza - 10000/10 it sounds weird right... fish on pizza?? BUT let me tell you it was THE BEST PIZZA ever. The tuna is so thinky sliced on the crispy "crust" and the sauce was perfection. I would order this again and again for reals! ** Seared A5 Wagyu - 10/10 so tender and flavorful. Its small but packed with flavor. ** Tuna Tataki - cant go wrong. I always love a good tuna tataki and this one did not disappoint. ** Cali King Crab & Spicy Tuna - good shareable pieces and fresh taste. Solid rolls for sure. I will definitely be coming back and telling everyone I know about this place cause we dont gatekeep a good thing. Shootouts to Chef Nick and his team. Con: was at the Venetian for a conference for 4 days. Came here 2x for lunch with a colleague and both times, the waitress was so not interested in either us or working. So much attitude or just annoyed to be there. Con: $7 for a Spirit! I ordered the one time and did not look at the menu for the price. I did not realized it until I got the bill. It was one can plus a glass of ice. Insane I did not order any drinks the 2nd time I went. I had house water Pro: - sushi is a must here. So fresh. - Poke bowl is so filling and worth every penny. - sushi chefs were great and welcoming. One even remembered us from the previous lunch. We appreciate that. Sushi spot with counter seatings. Although like fast food, you definitely get quality sushi. Both times we came, food was very consistent - fresh, sauces were flavorful and added to the dishes. Worth the stop. 3 stars due to the waitress not the food or the sushi chefs. read more

I was a little confused by this restaurant so hopefully this will be helpful to some people. There is a casual roll bar outside in restaurant row, the speakeasy is their inside seating with tables and a fun ambience. They both have different menus. This review is for the speakeasy only! We were looking to get some hand rolls, which we saw for the menu online and not realizing it was for the outside seating area only. We got seated inside the speakeasy and it does have a nice atmosphere, very dark and detailed. Upon entering, it smelled fishy...:/ the entire time we ate it did smell fishy inside so that was unpleasant. I asked our server about rolls because we saw rolls online (that was what we wanted) but she said they only had two rolls available (no roll sets or anything of that sort). We were a bit confused because of the menu we had seen, but the server did not tell us that it's for the outside area, or we would have left and sat out there instead. I just feel like it was a bit unclear and yes that may have partially been our fault, but it was our first time so we did not know what to expect. Anyway, we sat down, ordered some drinks. Drinks are fun and unique but on the pricier end. We got the Bluefin Tuna Pizza - this was my favorite thing and would get this again. We also got the Spicy Tuna Dip, which was good as well, but I don't need to get this again. Lastly, we got Today's Sashimi which came with 9 (very small) pieces of fish. The fish was fishy....eeek. This was $29 and the slices of fish were so small, I'd say they were equivalent to about 3 pieces of normal sashimi. Service was friendly during our experience but our server switched half way through and then we felt rushed and like we were being hovered over/needed to leave. My dish was taken from under my plate as I was still eating my last bite lol! Just little things that really turned off our experience. To top it off - the bill was almost $500 for 5 people (basically for one drink each, apps to share, and sashimi) and we all left hungry and had to get pizza after! Personally, I wouldn't recommend this spot and if I were to come back, I would specifically come for the cocktails & vibes only, or I'd be willing to try the roll bar outside. However, I'm guessing they use the same fish for both areas and if the fish was fishy for the inside dining, I'd be worried it would be the same for the rolls outside. read more
Stopped over the front/side bar area, came here right when they opened so we were the first ones got seated. The workers were working hard doing their thang and food came out in a timely manner. Ordered the 4 set hand rolls + Atlantic lobster hand roll. California; spicy tuna and salmon roll. With toro and tuna sushi. Ordered the chilled red and yuzu sauce which helped elevate the flavors even more. Everything was really great I especially love the toro ordered another set of that so buttery and fresh. I love how the rice is thin and the fish is packed you get to enjoy and taste the fish more. The spicy tuna had a hint of the shisho leaves which I liked. Definitely going to try the premium set next time. read more
This is one of the better restaurants that we've had the opportunity to try in Las Vegas recently. The spot feels somewhat secluded in private tucked off the edge of the casino. You think it would be very busy or loud, but the way it is almost hidden creates a very private private and upscale environment. Once inside the ambience was nice with very low lighting, which made you feel again like you were in a secret spot. The restaurant overall is somewhat small and the tables are very close together, especially if you're a group of two, but it wasn't enough where we felt we were intruding in other people's space. The only reason I noticed was that sometimes the servers had a hard time standing between the tables are delivering the food without bumping the table next to us. The food itself was very delicious and we had a hard time choosing what to get. We did I a few things on the tables next to us which may have made their way into our own order. Service was great. Food and drinks were very good and this is definitely a place I would try again. read more

All the rolls are prepared fresh and were delicious, with the the Blue Crab being my fave. We were seated right away and enjoyed the outdoor dining experience. Just no. The sushi is premade. At first I thought they were just quick. The quality is atrocious- I included a photo of what they served me as toro which looks about as fresh and premium as the tuna I could buy at a grocery store's premade sushi counter. Their sake selection is okay but I'm sorry- that can't save the review of a sushi place. I have no idea how they had a 4.4 when I decided to check this place out. read more

We dined here on opening night and I have to say this was the perfect hideaway from the bustling Venetian crowds. I truly love the restaurant row revamp. They've modernized the speakeasy experience with a QR code you receive upon confirming your reservation. This gives you access to enter the door into a decadent dining space. We felt like we were sitting in a boat. Service was friendly and attentive, appreciated it. The fish was very fresh. Highlights of the night were the hirame, uni, chutoro, spicy tuna, and wagyu sando. Their sake bottles are super expensive but you can also order them by the glass. Interesting approach. The cocktails definitely standout and you must end your dinner with a delicious ube espresso martini. They also have a private dining room behind the main space, it was beautiful. If you can't score reservations, outside the speakeasy on the main restaurant row, they offer bar seating with hand rolls. It's definitely a more relaxed environment there but the items do differ from the speakeasy. I look forward to coming back! read more

What a little gem! Hidden behind a sushi counter one of the newest speakeasy's. The food was delicious and the right amount! Their ube martini is a must try! It took me by surprise as it wasn't overly sweet and it was just perfect. We ordered the tuna pizza, an a couple other dishes. The service was on point, efficient, attentive! This is one of the best hand roll places in town. My girlfriend and I crave this place every other day. The yellowtail sashimi and spicy tuna hand roll is a must order. 15/10 highly recommend. We always get multiple orders of each. The counter service is fast and the servers are always friendly. We've also been to the speakeasy and the drinks were just as good. The newest addition to Venetian. The dining seating area will be open on 4/24. Now only the bar area is open with smaller menu. The service is good and the food is great. Love the scallops and the tuna with caviar. The peach yuzu sake (but actually no alcohol) is good and refreshing. Will come back when the dining room is open. read more
Loved this place! Husband and I came here for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and my husband's birthday! We had this coursed meal! Our experience was great - our server was lovely and very attentive. The blue fin tuna pizza was our favorite. The sushi was just okay to be quite honest. the sashimi and the miso were really good. At the end, they even gave us mochi ice cream with a candle on it. The ambiance was really nice - it's very upscale compared to their outside sit down area. The only thing is that the tables are really close to others and the guests beside us spoke so loudly we were everything they were talking about. Other than that though, I would recommend this spot - because they typically give champagne during special events, since we weren't drinking alcohol at the time, the bartenders created a drink that was off menu and it was delicious!! We felt very special that they were able to accommodate us with something special. Tip: definitely worth getting real wasabi even though it's $15 read more
Tasty sushi and fun concept. Not sure about all the plastic cups for drinks. Really like the miso black cod hand roll. I would go with the 3 set to start and go from there depending on how hungry you are. Looking forward for them to opening the larger spot. read more

There's a question I have come to live by when it comes to relationships. "Do I like who I am with you?" If the answer is not a screaming fuck yeah, then why am I allowing you to be a part of my life? I've endured enough life lessons to believe this simple truth can be applied to almost anything. All vices. Especially vices! I write about experiences I care about and believe others will find a "fuck yeah" with or I wouldn't share it. I'm not paid for it. I'm not an influencer. I write them on a treadmill or in between sets working off the calories. So after a recent situation-ship ended I decided the perfect medicine was the legendary burlesque show from Dita Von Teese ( @ditavonteese ) at the Venetian ( @venetianvegas ) and a feast at Nomi Kai Sushi ( @nomikaisushi ). I enjoyed the oysters, one of the best tuna pizzas I've ever had, the A5 sando which was mouth watering, beyond fresh sushi rolls, and the perfect assortment of pre-show poisons. The interior of this spot was awesome too, and the perfect opener to the most fabulous stage setting for Dita's residency. Both are musts friends! Fuck! My husband and I came out to Vegas for our first wedding anniversary and I knew I wanted to have sushi for our dinner date. After looking up places we decided on Nomikai. We came in on Tuesday June 16. I was able to make reservations that same day for 8:45pm time slot. We actually arrived around 8:10pm and checked in with the hostess. She sat us right away and not long after our waitress came by and started our order. After that, I believe the manager came out and brought us complimentary sparkling sake for our anniversary celebration, which was really good and a nice surprise. We both tried the toasted sesame old fashioned and it was delicious. For appetizer we decided with the yellowtail Serrano and Bluefin Tuna Pizza Then went ordered the Trust Us Deluxe and rainbow roll. Everything we ordered was beyond amazing! I am so happy we came here for our first anniversary dinner. It was so memorable and everyone in this restaurant was so polite. The vibe was amazing! Definitely would go back. read more
Finally a hand roll spot that's comparable to the popular hand roll bar at Cosmo! The people here were super nice and friendly. The rolls were very fresh and definitely get their house made sauce. They have nitro matcha on tap which was worth trying. We also came back another time for their speakeasy and had a couple drinks. The drinks were very creative and tasty. Was here for Ralph Barbosa show, and wanted to get some food in my belly before the shenanigans begun. The staff was so quick and friendly it felt like the perfect quick stop. We had their two poke options and OH MYY GAWD, my mouth is watering just remembering how good it was! The quality is outstanding for a fast casual vibe it gives. read more
Have been staying at Palazzo for over 10 years and this is a new addition this year!. Excellent location right on the corner with bar seats. Food comes out fast and delicious. You can even get to go! It hits the craving especially if you just want something quick! read more
I was pleasantly surprised the food at the sushi bar is good! I got the premium handroll set and really enjoyed the miso black cod it was delicious. The Hokkaido scallop was my second favorite. The alaskan king crab was decent, but I thought the toro with caviar handroll was ok couldn't really taste the fatty ness of toro. I also liked the tuna poke bowl too (shared this they give a lot of rice wish they would give more seaweed salad with it). Also got the salmon cut roll it's not evenly cut lol which I thought was interesting since they use a machine. Overall, I would wanna come back here. Don't get the nitro Matcha. I sampled it and it tastes like watered down matcha. I hope they decide to add Uni to their menu one day because it would be nice to eat a Uni Handroll. read more

We were able to get into the speakeasy section right when they were opening up. The interior is well designed and has that nice intimate cool feel to it. They had a bar area as well as a private room for your party. The staff here were very attentive and nice. We ordered the toasted sesame old fashioned and the ube expresso martini. Both of the drinks were exceptionally made and fun to drink. I liked that you can taste the toasted sesame in the drink. The ube expresso martini was balanced and worth taking a photo of. I also tried their A5 wagyu sando, which was ok in my opinion. I would get more drinks here next time. read more

We went for a friendly post-dinner / late night hangout and the setting was really calming. The service was good, but it also kind of seemed like people were trying to shark the table from the assigned server, who was really nice and helpful. We weren't sure if they were truly stepping on her turf or if they just weren't talking to each other as they each passed by to check on us since they kept asking the same questions the previous person asked. Either way, everyone was friendly. We didn't take a picture of the sashimi, but we ordered the Today's Sashimi with salmon, yellowtail, and bluefin tuna that all tasted fresh...yum! The spicy tuna chips were also great. The martinis had cool designs and the drinks were good, but you can definitely tell you're paying for that strip casino location (good, but high priced for not absolutely spectacular). Overall, it was a great venue for old friends to catch-up. read more

Food was great. The sushi came out pretty quickly and this place is such a cool vibe! However our server was so unfriendly it kinda ruined the night. We got waters, but asked for a tea. After 20 minutes we had our food, and no tea. So, we asked about it and she said they didn't have it, so we asked for a Coke instead. We had finished our food and still had no drink we told her it was okay to cancel the Coke. Her only response was "well we're busy" and laughed and walked away. We were not upset about being busy or things taking longer. We were upset that she was not apologetic, didn't acknowledge it,and was rude about it. The food here was truly great, but the server kinda ruined the whole vibe of the dinner. read more
