I wasn't expecting to like this place as much as I did (our first time here), because honestly…read morethere are a lot of fairly mediocre Chinese places. I had just been to a new-to-me one that had micro chicken bits coated in mega thick batter, and I was still smarting from that experience. But I overcame my fear of a repeat experience and ordered the Orange Chicken lunch special. What a difference! This place is really really good! You can see the included chicken salad is put together with care and multiple ingredients: shredded chicken, fried won ton skin, almonds, nice dressing. Impressed. My chicken came and big pieces! You bite into one and it's substantial white breast meat - wow, nice! I'm just too used to biting into battered chicken or pork and feeling like other places used junk bits hiding within the batter and sauce. But Taba Taba uses quality meat and a more sophisticated orange peel sauce. You can see/find the dried orange peel within the sauce which gives it a more complex flavor. I really liked it. The chow mein was good too - not oily at all. The service was friendly and great too. The woman who served us was friendly and really really attentive to all tables, looking around to see what was needed, making sure everyone was doing OK, whether water needed to be refilled, picking up the check as soon as the credit card was put down on the check. A real care factor above and beyond what you normally find. She chatted with my wife too for a bit on our way out - friendly and warm. I usually don't make a point of saying, "The food is really good here", but I felt compelled to. I know that Chinese food restaurants, the vast majority, do cater to American tastes, so the food isn't strictly "authentic" - just a reality of who the audience is. But even so, this was done at an elevated level that satisfies the American taste, while adding some richness/subtlety to the flavors that makes it better than your typical Chinese restaurant. I'd be very happy to come here again. I talked a lot about the food and service, but the decor was also nice - pretty typical, nothing outstanding in this regard, but the food and service are so much more important to me anyway, and those were definitely strong points of Taba Taba.

We felt lucky to find an empty spot in their parking lot, which was shared with Willow Street Pizza. The restaurant wasn't too busy. Typical Chinese restaurant ambience but with dimmed lights. It was more catered for non-Chinese customers, with forks on the table. No problem asking for chopsticks, as expected. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered Lunch Combo A: Honey Walnut Prawns with Chow Mein. The hot & sour soup included with the lunch was delicious and not too spicy. It's perfect after adding some white pepper. The chicken salad was fresh, crunchy, and delightful. It's a much better and healthier alternative to spring rolls usually included in lunch specials at other Chinese restaurants. The chow mein was not oily nor salty at all, and had quite a bit of vegetables. It paired really well with the honey walnut prawns, which was prepared really well. There're 8 large, flavorful and juicy prawns, and a handful of candied walnuts. My husband enjoyed his orange chicken lunch combo as well. I tried a piece of his chicken, and it was scrumptious, with a light batter and yummy sauce. We ended our meal with the classic fortune cookies. I was surprised by how well executed and tasty the food was. Comparing to the lunch specials at Tsing Tao, which we tried recently, we both preferred the ones at Taba Taba. They do charge $1 per person for hot tea at Taba Taba, though.

The drunken noodles and fried rice are always packed with flavor, and the fresh spring rolls are such a refreshing starter. This time we tried the Taiwanese bamboo shoot dish from the Chef's Recommendation section. It was definitely spicy, though not quite as fiery as the last time we had it. Maybe they toned it down a bit... or maybe we were braver last time We also ordered the Khao Soi, which was pretty decent. Fewer sides compared to some other places, but still really tasty overall. And honestly, one of the best parts? You can bring your own alcohol to enjoy with dinner, and there's no corkage fee Overall, such a great spot for vegetarian Thai food!

This was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. We were paying customers actively eating our dinner. Being rushed in that manner was disrespectful and completely unacceptable. I have never been treated this way at any restaurant. At the end of the meal, I made it clear to her that her behavior was wrong and that customers should not be treated this way. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

The menu online and what we got slightly differed. At first glance the options feel limited to a typical Thai restaurant, but we loved everything that we ordered! My parents are hard to please, and also loved the food!! -Dragon Balls (5/5): deep friend minced chicken with added flavoring. It was really good! Could have used a side of sauce, but it disappeared quickly :) -spicy eggplant (5/5): I love eggplant dishes and this one did not disappoint. The spice was the right amount and didn't feel over the top. Since it's a side, it's a smaller portion -pad see ew (4/5): they warned us that they ran out of the wide noodles so we got thinner noodles, but the noodles had a toughness to each bite. The sauce and chicken were great -pad grr pow (5/5): I have never tried this before and we asked to make it spicy with tofu. I really loved it! It doesn't come with a side of rice -crab fried rice (4.6/5): I'm not a huge fan of crab but my husband raved about this rice and the butteriness of the crab. It was seasoned pretty mildly, so if that's something you like, it's one of their popular dishes! Overall really loved the food, the outdoor seating! Service is a bit slow on getting us plates before the apps, etc. But I would absolutely come again!

We decided to leave and I will not be coming back this was pretty unprofessional and they didn't offer us anything for our time either

I do wish they had a soup option for vegetarians but it's pretty hard to get a good veggie broth so it's understandable. what we got: cucumber salad (5/10 yums): I think the reason why I rate this so low is because of preference. I almost always get cucumber salad at restaurants. However, this cucumber salad was just a tad bit bland and had WAY too much cilantro. I usually do like cilantro, but it was way too much. hot and sour woodear salad (7/10 yums): Although I did enjoy this, I do feel like I've had better woodear salads before. This one had a strong lemon taste which kind of threw me off, but I personally liked the onions that went with it. chicken rice noodles (10/10 yums): my GO TO. I like how it is refreshing and not too oily or heavy. I love how there is an option for low salt, which I usually go for. Golden triangle (8/10 yums): I usually prefer soup rice noodles, but this is a great option for vegetarians. It is heavily spiced and has the option for spicy or non-spicy.

Staff are friendly, spot is pretty small but kid-friendly and self-serve utensil tables. The Wagyu Soup Noodle bowl was super bland. So much so that my partner had to add a ton of chili sauce, and I had to add other seasoning toppings. Would be open to trying the beef noodle soup next time but the Waygu soup bowl wasn't it. Pig ears were pretty good but sliced super thin.. thinner than the onions..

The pasta texture was kinda hard and crumbly as if it was cooked last night half way thru and reheat in the microwave just before serving. Everything was just so wrong and I eventually had to tell the waitress to take it away and she was kind enough to not charge me for that plate. Me and my friend shared the seafood linguine with white wine sauce which turned out to be pretty good so that's the 2 stars. This is also the first time I've ever had to send a dish back to kitchen.
