This restaurant was awful. Their customer service was horrible as well. That lady who was on the phone was extremely disrespectful and needs to learn human decency. Well I have been here a couple of times. I ate in the first time and won't do that again as the owners kids rule the place when they are there. And I ordered 2 to go pizza. Ordered the same pizza each time. Nonna special with half only pepperoni. The second time the pizza was a couple of bucks more and I inquired why. Well even though I was paying for the whole Nonnas special their policy is that they charge you for the pepperoni on the other half. I told them that pepperoni comes on the Nonna special so it wouldn't be an add on. They told me that I only ordered 1/2 nonnas special and I needed to be charged for the pepperoni. I explained that since I paid the price of a whole Nonna the pepperoni was included for the whole pizza. We go every year when we visit Anna Maria Island. Delicious Margherita Pizza & my son loves the gnocchi with pink sauce & bread knots.

Food smells great, but only order online if you have a couple hours to wait for your food. More than an hour past when our pizza was supposed to be ready and others coming in after us have gotten their orders and left while we are still waiting. The kicker? Neither of the pizzas they gave us were correct. They at least offered to quickly remake them to be ready within 6 minutes. We shall see...not sure how a remake only takes 6 min when the original online order took over an hour and a half. Family members who run this place were arguing with each other and the young boy was scolded for not wearing shoes in the kitchen. Edit--20 min later (NOT 6 min) we got our pizzas. For the amount of money spent, not at all worth it. The pizza was mediocre, mozzarella sticks were terribly overcooked with no cheese inside. Strombolis were completely meatless, and when calling them, we were told that it was our fault for the lack of meat. A stromboli to this place is considered cheese and bread. Lastly, the $12 calamari is outrageous. Practically at $1 per piece. If visiting from out of town, do not try this thinking it might be good, its not. I have never once been disappointed with the food here. Delivery is always perfect temperature and detail is given as if you were in the restaurant. I have had the pizza (white pizza is AMAZING), subs, antipasto salad and stuffed mushrooms. All on multiple occasion and always consistently delicious!!! When we arrived, at 9:28 we realize there are multiple people waiting & are told our food is still not ready & I am refused a refund after spending 100.00. The rude girl at the counter says 20 min. Soooooo we wait, multiple people arrived in the same boat as us. 35 minutes later STILL no food. Says it will be 20 minutes longer. We waited an 1 hour after our pickup time with no discount or refund. The girl working was a joke; rude, unprofessional, playing on her phone & chatting with kids & someone behind the counter. I don't usually leave a review unless the food/service is terrible or it's phenomenal. From the time I walked in, I knew this place was special. It smelled like an Italian heaven LOL. Erina and her children are the sweetest and gave me great recommendations on what to get. I ended up getting the baked ziti with meat sauce and a medium pepperoni pizza for my growing 13 year old son. While waiting, I enjoyed a few drinks - who knew Erina was also a great bartender?!? After a few minutes of great conversation, the food was ready and I came home to eat it. THE FOOD DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It was delicious - perfectly flavored, and so good I didn't even want to share! I'm not even ashamed to say I ate the whole thing in one sitting. So, if you want homemade Italian food that's fresh and uses the best ingredients and clearly made with love, go to Nonna's. I cannot believe this restaurant has more 5 star ratings. I had the calzone which was so fresh and large. It was beyond good. My family member had the eggplant sub and said it was the best she ever had. Please not they are professionally trained as a chef so this is a huge compliment from her. Slow doesn't even begin to explain it. We drove 10+ hours and just wanted to grab some local pizza and take it to our vacation rental on our way into town. We ordered online at 8:15 for a 9:30 pickup. We pulled up right at 9:30. Walked in and the lady said "it's in the oven and would be finished in 15-20 mins". We explained our situation and we're offered a glass of wine while we waited but that was it. She apologized but was not very sorry. After 30 minutes, still no food. Took a carryout home last night and was very pleased with my decision... Got the stuffed shells and they were excellent and the garlic knots ( bread). And prices are perfect.. You get more than you pay for and that's a rare thing these days. Get the meat sauce too... Delicious... My husband and I spent time in Bradenton and were fortunate enough to have been in walking distance of Nonnas.
