We placed an order on a Friday night. Fridays are busy, I get it. BUT after about 40 minutes the guy working the counter told us he decided he's not going to make our order. Sucks right? So a refund was requested. He said "maybe, maybe not". We challenged that and he promptly told us to "go f*ck yourself" and came from behind the counter, ready to have a physical altercation. This restaurant has always had a track record of disappointing us, but this is an all time low. Needless to say, we won't be back. I stopped here the other night for the first time and what a delight! The staff was super friendly and service was great! Very delightful ambiance with that old school pizza shop feel. Being my first time there, I had to get pizza! The pizza was delicious, perfect sauce to cheese ratio and the crust had a nice, delicious crunch to it. Overall, the pizza was excellent! Done with Nonna's. Twice now we have ordered via Grubhub where the order was over an hour and a half wait. No courtesy call to advise us of the wait or that there was any kind of issue. We called Nonna's directly as we were advised to by Grubhub. The first time the owner advised us he had no delivery driver. But...we could come pick up our pizza IF we wanted. Kind of negates the idea of the delivery fee and tip we have to pay... Order cancelled. Second time we try (two weeks later)...after an hour and 15 we call the restaurant and he says his delivery driver is behind. He tells me to wait two more minutes. 20 minutes later I call Grubhub and they call Nonna's. He tells them it will be here in 10 minutes. We wait 15 and no pizza. I call back Grubhub and again they call Nonna's. This time he tells Grubhub it will be here in five more minutes. I cancel the order but it takes five minutes. No pizza. My husband calls Nonna's and the owner says he has had NO Grubhub orders. Are you kidding me?!? We have the order # and record of calls to Nonna's and Grubhub. The owner was incredibly disrespectful and clearly not trying to accommodate or keep a customer. And the Grubhub order is PREPAID. Guaranteed income Luis. I've seen 4+ pizza shops come through that location in my lifetime growing up in this town. Word of mouth goes a long way. read more

If zero was an option, that's what it would be. Waited more than an hour and a half for one pizza to be delivered, and it arrived without the toppings. When we called to let them know, they said "It's Friday, it's busy. We can credit you for the toppings." No apology, and only an offer of $3.50 - poor management and they don't care about customers. I had high hopes for this pizzeria! I was let down and now I'm on the search for amazing pizza! We ordered cheese fries, 2 cheese pizzas, and 1 meat lover pizza. Everything included came to $62 on Grubhub for delivery. The driver showed up with 2 pizzas and fries. I informed them I was missing a pizza so she left and brought the most sloppy Pizza ever back. Nothing for my troubles, which was disappointing. I won't be using them again. The pizza was odd along with the poor service. The good: Cheese wiz!, Grubhub ordering (why don't more use this??) and delivery! Seriously the worst experience with take out I've ever had with Italian food!! I'm not a big fan of doing reviews honestly but thought I'd warn others to spare them from having the same experience there. I ordered the gnocchi with meat sauce and it was served literally "raw".... Not even slightly undercooked but gooey.... stringy... and raw! I noticed only after eating some of it that it wasn't cooked and was out right disgusted. It unrolled in my hand like raw pillsbury dough before you cook it. I thought maybe it was just one that missed the pot, but they were all like that. Then when I called to speak to the restaurant they put me on the phone with the guy who cooked it - only to argue with me saying that that's how it's supposed to be, seriously who ever let that go out the door...has no business cooking! I only pray that no one gets food poisoning from that place. I would never recommend this place and never will I pay $70 for take out that's not even cooked! Don't waste your time there or $$. This not authentic italian either so don't be fooled by the name....it was seriously the worst take out experience I've ever had. Ordered from Nonnas tonight for the first time & everything was amazing. From the lady who took our order, to the turn around time, to the food. We had a large pepperoni pizza, onion rings & mozzarella sticks which we're all tasty & still warm when they arrived. I will definitely be back. read more

If I could give NO stars I would. I joined Yelp JUST to give this place a review. I LOVE their food so this is why I have given them so many chances. 3 times over the winter we ordered pizza a large pizza, all extra cheese with half onions and mushrooms. I even explained half with just extra cheese, other half onions and mushrooms. ALL 3 times it came onions on half and mushrooms on the other half. The last time time they dropped the replacement pizza off at the wrong house and then wanted to go pick it up and bring it to me....ummmmm NO....it was a 3 hour ordeal and the owner wouldn't even give me a discount. So tonight we REALLY wanted their pizza. Decided they couldn't mess up just extra cheese. They brought us ricotta topping on our pizza. So now here we sit AGAIN with the wrong pizza. This is the LAST time we will EVER eat here. Oh and by the way. When they FINALLY bring you the correct pizza...they take back the incorrect one and don't give a discount. So you wait TWO hours for the correct pizza with no kind of incentive. TERRIBLE business. read more

The owner screamed at me and said I must be crazy to think they would deliver 4 miles away for such a little order (it was more than $20 and I have always tipped well). Do not ever go to NONNA's pizza in Gilbertsville. My son ordered a cheese steak plain, cheese fries and Mozzarella sticks on Friday night for delivery. When his delivery came his cheese steak had mushrooms on it, he didn't get his Mozzarella sticks they gave him onion rings. He doesn't eat mushrooms and he doesn't eat onion rings. He called them to let them know his order was incorrect and they said they would credit him for the next time he ordered. He just called there now to get his food that he ordered and paid for on Friday night and they wouldn't deliver it to him because they said he needed to order more because the order has to be a $15.00 minimum. He reminded them that they didn't give him what he ordered on Friday night and the So called manager didn't back down she said he needed a 15.00 minimum for them to bring him his food. I called and tried to rectify this for him on his behalf and the manager was asking for the incorrect food to be returned. I told her it was thrown away because he does not eat mushrooms or onion rings. First of all, why would a restaurant want food back that was given to customers. Are they going to resell it to another customer? I don't get this????? I asked for a Manger and the girl on the phone said she is the Manager and that I could only speak to her. I then said we no longer want our food we just want a refund and she said no it's been longer then 24 hours and she can't give us a refund. I told her that This happened one time before with her restaurant and it's been years since we came back, we thought we would give them another chance. WE WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THERE AGAIN. Will never go back again! Placed an order online and they never received the order. Understandable... they made it while I dropped off the other food at my house at our party, so I thought. When I got back the pizza still wasn't ready, 25 minutes later. Checked with the front desk multiple time asking if it's ready and received the answer "it's in the oven". Gentleman laughed at me and said I was funny for throwing away the incorrect item and said he would offer a refund only after they came back out to retrieve the food. There are very few delivery options near me so I was thrilled to see this place does deliver. The good was awesome. I ordered a salad with chicken and shrimp. This used to be our go to pizza place because of the convenience through the Slice app and the only place with reliable, fast delivery. I placed a large catering order for my son's graduation party 3 weeks before the party. I wanted to pickup the day of the party around 11-1130. The owner kept insisting that 1200 would be the earliest he could get it all together. Not convenient for me but I could make it work. I called Thursday, 2 days before pickup, to confirm the order and get a total price. Total came to $216.78. Again, he smugly laughed and said it still won't be ready until 1200. I sent relatives to pickup the order on Saturday since a credit card was already given by phone & guests were arriving. They got to the pizzeria at 1140 & everything was sitting there made & ready but I never received a call saying I could get there early like I had asked numerous times. Monday I found my card was charged $271.52. When I called to dispute and ask why the difference in price, I was told it was due to price increases because of Covid. In 2 days he decided to change his prices & not honor his quote?!?! Never doing business here again. read more
