Ok, this is our second time here. The first service was a little bit slow but it was also fairly crowded and they had a new chef starting. 2nd time here, only three tables (us the 3rd) and the service couldn't have been slower. Arrived at 6:45pm and ordered almost immediately (5 in our party). Apps came in about 10-15 minutes, but the dinner order.... omg, 55+ minutes. Ok, they said they were short but I've been in many small thai, viet, nd Asian restaurants with short staff n service was quick- it's what they pride themselves on. It's a shame. Great food, but waiting over an hour for entries is a crime. It wouldn't be bad, but I also saw a couple takeout orders come out before our meals. read more

Let me just start off by saying this place is a local legend. Do not let ascetic interior fool you. Noodle Revolution is an upscale-quality Asian fair with strong Thai influence. Its dishes would water mouths in Boston, NYC, DC or London, but the lucky ones are in Westerly, CT. From Pho to inventive salads and fried ice cream, everything I tried was a treat to taste buds. I am not sure where recipes for their sauces came from, but they are a treat, a perfect supplement to ingredients. Noodle Revolution needs to come to major markets. This is the type of local success that should be serialized. read more

Very disappointed to say the least. This was our first ( and last) time here. We ordered pan fried steamed veggie dumplings to start, for our entrees I had the large drunken noodle with tofu and my husband had the large chicken pad Thai. After about 15 minutes we were thinking the appetizer should be out at any moment, that's when the server came over and stated that they were out of the dumplings. I verbalized that I wished he would have let us know long before he did. He said sorry and asked us if we wanted to order another starter. My husband asked how long it would be before the meals were ready, the server replied it would be soon. We explained that we had ordered the app because we were hungry and we wanted it while we were waiting for our meal, so no thank you. When my meal came it had 2 pieces of tofu... What does the small come with? 1 piece? His meal was similarly portioned with scant amounts of ground up chicken. Neither meal was priced appropriately for what you get. The flavors were good, but that's the only thing that was. Everything else, the service, the atmosphere, the portion size all sucked. And of course they never offered to make the appetizer situation right. read more

I really tried to like this place because my son had said it was fantastic. However, the night my boyfriend I went there was not a pleasant experience. The restaurant was 59 degrees. It was so cold that I couldn't focus on much else. (There was a sticky note next to the thermostat stating "guests, please do not touch the thermostat") I ordered the dumplings. They were quite small but I enjoyed them. My boyfriend ordered the drunken rice dish and it was very good. He ordered it spicy and it was quite good. I ordered the beef chow fun. Our food took over an hour to get to us. Normally not a deal breaker for me except that I was so cold I just wanted to leave. When I got my food the beef was burnt and tasted bland even though I ordered it with medium heat. It was pretty busy but not once did anyone ask us if everything was ok. There was no salt or pepper or anything else in the table to help save my dish. I'm quite sure we won't return because of the multitude of things lacking in the experience. When first going into the restaurant I noticed that it does not have an atmosphere of any kind of Asian style restaurant. It seems to me it was more like a diner at one point. The seating is very simple there's seating at a bar and regular seating at small tables very similar to a diner. The menus are sheets of printer paper staple together. As for my choice I decided to go with a pho noodle soup a black and noodle dish with beef and regular dumplings. Service in general is quick I may be waited five to ten minutes for my order to get to me. As for the food itself it's very basic , very generic. I also picked up a Mexican-style Coke and this Mexican apple soda. Altogether my total bill was $44. I am not impressed with this restaurant at all. On a side note there is absolutely no parking you have to literally find your parking spot amongst home and the location is right on top of a local Road so it's not like you can just park in front of the restaurant. My feelings about this restaurant are as follows. Not impressive cheap looking overly expensive and boring. I doubt I'll be returning to this establishment especially when you have to pay $4 for a Mexican Coke read more

Service~ Impeccable, attentive and helpful and not over the top for such a small dining area. Both servers both times! NICE. The little touches like the ice water carafes make it a 5 star review. The food was both times I went ~ spot on perfect. The spring rolls were made with fresh ingredients and were served piping hot with a nice sauce that was complementary to the flavors of the rolls. Dumplings were also perfectly done with a savory dipping sauce.The green curry was AMAZING. Flavorful, spicy, and the perfect serving size with fresh ingredients and masterfully tasty with each spoonful I was happier and happier. The drunken noodles were spicy as I ordered without making me feel like a fire breathing dragon but had a pleasant heat to them. The ingredients were very fresh and expertly prepared. I was not left hungry or over stuffed. It is BYOB but there is a nice variety of carbonated and non carbonated beverages to choose from. And if you have some one who is not so sure, there are tasty burgers and tacos, unfotunately they were out of fries the day I went but judging by the other fried items, I bet they would be good! Parking is a PIA, but the side streets allow parking. The inside is small and intimate so if there is a large (loud) table you may have to deal with some noise pollution. Went on a Wednesday night and the place was pretty empty. One server and a couple of cooks. My wife ordered the charred beef salad medium heat and it was delicious. However the rest of our meal was very bland. I ordered rice noodles with beef in a pad Thai style sauce medium heat. The noodles were way over cooked and there was no flavor in the dish as well as no spice. I think something as simple as salt would have helped the dish out a lot but there was no salt in the dish or on the tables. Service was ok but could have been better. A table that came in after us was able to order and eat before our table was cleared, which seems kind of ridiculous since the restaurant had maybe three tables in it at the time. I also had to approach the counter to ask for my check because the server never came by. Service can definitely be improved as well as the food. 2 stars only because the charred beef salad was delicious read more

Followed the reviews and checked this place out, absolutely lived up to the reviews. Noodle revolution is a great spot: very creative and delicious. The inside of the restaurant is small and cozy, it's a clean and inviting environment. The service was prompt and courteous. We started with pan fried veggie dumplings which were delicious, highly recommend the dumplings as a starter. For dinner I had the wonton shrimp noodle bowl and my SO had the wonton pad Thai. Both were pretty simple and delicious. I had mine at spice level hot, hers was mild. Hot was spicy, but delicious, it's not overpowering even for me (not a huge spicy food guy). Mild was also let the flavors of the dish shine without overpowering it. Bonus points for the beverages menu here, there was a very neat selection of non-alcoholic beverages: teas, sparkling waters and sodas. For desert we had the much-reviewed honey banana. It might sound funny if you ask the server to explain what's in it, but it was pretty good. My only quips would be the lack of parking nearby, no napkins at the table (which was strange), and difficulty reading their specials menu written in chalk by the bar. Go there NOW! We went to Noodle Revolution last night for Valentines day dinner, despite the freezing cold! The restaurant was not busy, so we were able to enjoy our dinners, and we also had a chance to meet the owner at the end of the night. We started with fried dumplings- incredible! They were delicate, not oily, or excessively thick dough. We then had the Charred Beef salad which was truly one of the best foods I have ever eaten... Sliced beef is grilled and served on greens after being tossed in a vinaigrette that defies description! Then came the Tom yum ramen with Seafood. Delicate flavors with a hardy broth that was quite filling and will warm even on a bitter cold night. Lastly we tried Drunken Rice Pot with Chicken.. The rice was not greasy - which why I usually avoid fried rice dishes- it was lightly flavored with lemon and spices, and served with bok choy and other vegetables. We finished off with Coconut ice cream-- We then met the owner who is talented, welcoming and truly loves that so many people are enjoying her restaurant! YOU Will LOVE IT!!! read more

This place is really off the beaten path that isn't a problem, the service was struggling. We received our appetizer at the same time as our meals (30 minutes after we ordered) after we listened to the server and the chef yell at each other over completing the order. The food and service was amazing. We had the Beef Pho, Thai Basil Beef over Rice, and the Steak Yaki Udon. We were happy with all three dishes, and each one was packed with just the right flavors. The Mango Sticky Rice with mango ice cream, fresh fruit, and whipped cream for dessert was the perfect compliment to an already perfect meal. I only wish the sticky rice portion was larger. We are regulars here and there have been many inconsistencies with regards to the service and food timing. The food itself remains to be awesome, except for tonight. We decided to stop in for dinner and brought a bottle of wine, as per usual. I always bring my corkscrew. Tonight we were told there would be a $3.00 charge per person corking fee. I questioned it, because we have never been charged before. We were told that it was customary in many restaurants. On a side note, we eat out a lot, all over the country, and I have only seen this charge one other time. I felt the charge was a little ridiculous, considering the waiter did not offer to open or pour the wine. He gave us an explanation of having to replace wine glasses if they broke. Kind of silly considering we don't get charged for the water glasses. We ordered the chicken wing appetizer and the shrimp tacos and a drunken rice pot for dinner. The wings no sooner came out and so did the shrimp tacos. We were told my husband's rice bowl would be a few minutes longer. We continued to finish our appetizer, and I politely waited to eat until the other entree came. At that point, the 1 shrimp on the taco was stone cold. ( there have always been multiple shrimp, and 2 sauces. Mine had 1 shrimp and 1 sauce) My husband brought the entree to the counter and asked for it to be heated. It was put in the microwave, which made everything hot on the taco. (Lime wedge, cilantro, etc ) and ruined the texture of both the shrimp and the taco shell. An off night for sure. Absolutely delicious! I had a Build your own Bowl with flat rice noodles, drunken sauce, sliced beef, medium spicy. I will ask for hot next time, but that is because I enjoy really spicy things! The only negative is that the non-alcoholic drinks are way overpriced. read more

I was really pleased with my visit to Noodle Revolution. I'm usually skeptical of restaurants with a mishmash of cultures represented on the menu, but everything was great. We had pork belly bau for an appetizer, flat noodles with black noodle sauce, and wonton noodle soup with crab meat. Service was a little slow, but fairly attentive. My one real complaint about this place is the non-existant parking. Our party of three enjoyed an appetizer of steamed dumplings, followed by three entrees: the Noodle Bowl with flat rice noodles and a drunken noodle sauce with tofu and vegetables, a Wonton Pad Thai, and a Drunken rice with vegetables and tofu.
