This is a dirty place, don't be fooled by those 5 star fake reviews. If you go over the reviews carefully you will find a lot of customers experienced food poisoning, I myself and my friends experienced diarrhea too. And the taste? pretty much boiled water with cheap production noodle with salt and Knorr chicken flavor broth, no SMG yeah... if you are fooled... limited quantity? fresh made everyday? just marketing pitch. If you want healthy food, this place is too greasy and lack of fiber and nutrition. If you want tasty food, they have only salty water and processed white starch here. Also a lot of customers are complaining about the meal is overpriced, but to me, the problem is the authentic Chinese style customer service, careless, selfish, expecting your tips with minimal or no effort. The worst part is they will try to kick you out when you are done in a very uncomfortable way, seriously, there's no need to hide your intention when you are already rude and bad mannered? Another downside is most of them can't speak English, and their menu is kinda weird too, just like these mysterious 5 star reviews, and they think no-one knows... don't be fooled. read more

The best hunan authentic Chinese noodles you will ever have! From the outside Noodle Talk looks like a below average restaurant but once you step inside your mind about it will completely change. It's beautiful scenery and live music will want to make you stay longer than you ever expected. I ordered the Beef spicy soup which was very flavorful, and a side of cabbage plate. Their tofu salad was delicious as well. The service overall was great and at a fast pace, everyone there is very welcoming! They have a variety of different deserts and drinks. Perfect soups for this type of winter rainy weather, it suites your tummy very well and you will leave satisfied! Excellent spot for legitimate Hunan specialties, in the center of Sunnyvale. Fresh and Natural dishes along with delicious teas. There are so many excellent items on menu, it's a challenge to choose. Their food is always so freshly made and can't complain of food portion... We always leave with a happy full tummy!!! I had their onion cake for the very first time today, The prep work is what makes a great chinese restaurant, and these people have it down. If you can, sit at the bar and enjoy a nice drink or two! I love the food here. It's authentic. Everything has a good amount of vegetables. The smoked specialties are wonderful. Noodle Talk has made me realize my LOVE for Hunan food. My great friend introduced me to this place which I am really grateful for. From the outside, it looks like a below average place where college students eat, but that is far from the truth! It is a gem in Sunnyvale. I ordered the seafood noodle with soft tofu skin, cabbage. It comes with preserved vegetables and salted peanuts and they go with the food perfectly. My friend ordered the spicy noodle and they were so flavorful too WITHOUT any of the greasiness. Usually eating any noodle type food makes me feel bloated but it wasn't the case. If you want to have the best authentic Chinese noodles you will ever have in your life, look no further. read more

I am thrilled to have found a legit Chinese restaurant that has good quality, tons of options and dry wok cooking. They can cook dry wok on anything that is not fried. If you like spicy this is the place, you can try their Spicy beef soup one of their most popular dishes. Try the onion cakes, steamed dumplings, hot and yummy tofu soup, chicken and string beans. I don't judge a book by its cover and try not to judge a restaurant by its appearance. I am so happy to say this place is a winner in my book. Great food, Fast service, and not to expensive prices. Noodle talk is the talk of the town, I was recommended by a couple colleagues. I finally decided to come in, and I was very impressed. The restaurant is very welcoming to any culture, if you are a fan of warm spicy soups and veggies this is the place you should try. Also suitable for vegetarians, they have a variety of dishes. I loved the sea weed salad and the peanuts they serve as complimentary while your food is being made. Everything here is Natural and you could just taste the freshness from the noodles to the meat they cook! Very family friendly, Service is great and fast, very clean. Quick lunch at this joint. Read good reviews so decided to try. Got a spicy beef shank noodle soup. It was good to the point that we are in Sunnyvale and not some ghetto in East San Jose. When the bowl was delivered, I couldn't wait to eat. Like I have said, this ain't some ghetto neighborhood in East San Jose. Initial impression of the soup was not as rich as I had expected compared to Ramen. It was good but not great. My last impression was satisfaction. It was definitely good but not great. I love this place and I hate this place! I love it because the food is good, the service is good. I hated because I waited for almost 45 minutes to get seated. I went there last Friday with my wife. She is from Hunan and she knows the noodle so well. I am from Canton and I have no idea what I shoud eat. But their menu is not yet ready, they have only 5 dishes to serve. I ordered the beef stew noodle soup. It taste reallly good, the soup is made from beef bone. No MSG taste. I like it. But it seems the price is a little high. The free appetizer is good. I went to this restaurant yesterday with my family. We waited about 30 miuntes to be seated. I like their decoration. A little traditional, a little classic. I like their music too. We tried their beef shank noodle soup, it taste really good. I can tell it is no MSG. My brother like the pancake. My mom like the sweet rice cake. All my family are from Hunan, so we know what we can order. The food and service is good. The only thing I don't like is it is too crowed, too noisy. People are talking loudly. My go to spot for Chinese food in the Santa clara county!The quality of the food is amazing & for a great price too! The owners of the restaurant are super nice and they get down in the kitchen I can tell you that! They have a great staff that serve great service. Everything tastes and feels fresh. No oily rice or sodium rich sauces. Noodles and the Soup never fail to amaze me with their flavor & abundant sauce! As a noodle lover, I come here very often. My favorite: A1 Beef Stew and Beef Tendon noodle soup was really good. Perfect spice level! Tender beef, and noodles we're not overcooked A10, Beef and wild pepper stir fry is really tasty, it is hot though. I love this place, it is small but clean and neat. The restroom is really clean, that is the part I really care. For the service, it is good and fast. I'm giving this place a one star because although they're food is good, they're service needs lots of improvement. They don't even open on time & just look at you at the entrance without even bothering you to come in even though it's already 5 minutes after they're opening time. They don't even bother turning on their opening sign on time either. The servers are rude & are obviously only there cause they have to be. I've never meant one kind worker there. I come here very often with my coworkers. It is a nice place to have a quick lunch with reasonable price. This is probably the best Hunan food on the peninsula and south bay, and one of the best Chinese places in the Bay Area in general. The taste is very authentic, and its clientele and staff are almost exclusively Chinese (which might be a little off-putting if you don't speak the language). This has the GO-TO place of my whole family, when it comes to chinese food! From any other chinese restaurant ive been too, no other compare to their exquisite soups. This place is always reliably delicious. Dishes are served quickly and hot, the staff is extremely friendly, and the prices are about the most reasonable you could expect in Sunnyvale.
