Seems to be going downhill, this place had so much promise when it opened. There wasn't anyone at the order counter had to wait. Then for a few modification, I had to repeat three times. Also a pet -peeve if I am replacing spinach and tomatoes with mushroom I think I shouldn't get charged as it is an exchange of a topping but got charged additional. Ambiance is where it is getting worse - they had two different light bulbs flickering. I can understand one flickering as it could have just started and they haven't gotten around to it, but two seems to be their problem. I couldn't bear sitting under there, how is the owner walking around the whole day in the restaurant and not just going up and replacing the bulb - this is such a simple thing to do. Grabbed dinner from here recently and it was OK. I'd actually never been to Noodles and Company before, so I wasn't sure what to expect (other than that the food options would be mostly pasta). I ordered our food for carry-out using the website, and that all went smoothly. Everything was ready on time as well. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was just OK. I ordered the roasted garlic cream tortelloni with grilled chicken, and the pasta and vegetables were both overcooked. The cheese filling in the tortelloni wasn't bad, and the chicken was reasonably moist, but I can't imagine paying $15 again for this food. My wife got the same pasta dish but with the parmesan crusted chicken, and she was not a fan of the chicken (she said it was dry). Overall, I guess it was OK? I'm not sure I'd ever come back here but if you're really craving some pasta, I can imagine it hitting the spot. read more

This was my first time ever trying noodle company. I'd definitely describe the food as adequate. Like, it's fine. It's edible. Not the absolute worst or completely inedible but def not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination. Comparable to dorm cooking or a microwave frozen dinner but fine in a pinch especially if you're starving (which we were). Fantastic place to take kids cuz they've got so many pasta-bilities *wink* My kid was thrilled to have plain Mac and cheese for dinner without any hidden peas or meat. They were out of crispies (which I guess are rice crispies). I will say, the Mac runs thin despite being topped with shredded cheese. Like, it's not completely watery but I mean look at the pictures. The macaroni was constantly falling off the fork bc it was very slippery. I recommend eating with a spoon of you can (dunno if they have them but I assume so bc I think they serve noodle soups too). They have a lot of different beverage options for young children like organic 1% horizon milk, chocolate milk, organic honest company juice boxes or fountain drinks. Also, they offered a coloring book type thing for my daughter which kept her entertained for a bit. The food at noodles and Company is pretty much the same everywhere you go so the differentiating factors will be the people and the location itself. The people at this location, changed drastically from time of the day and the day of the week. The interior looks like all the others, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. They got my order wrong, but I wasn't upset because the dish they gave me was actually good as well. This is the first time I've eaten at N&C. I had a recommendation to try the meatballs and the pesto tortellini. I was pleasantly happy with the portion and flavors of each dish. The tortellini was plump and delicious. There was a good portion of pesto sauce in the bowl. The serving was perfect for one and I was hungry. I'm a fan of two dishes at Noodles & Company: Pad Thai and Japanese Pan Noodles ($6.25 + $2.75 for tofu). I have eaten these dishes at various locations both dine in and take out. It is consistent, filling, and reasonably priced and portioned. I usually don't stray from these two options. I have tried the Alfredo MontAmore with Parmesan-crusted Chicken ($6.75 + $2.75 for chicken +$2.75 for extra chicken). It was way too greasy. Definitely would not purchase it again. During COVID-19, they do have easy online ordering available. Their website is clear, quick, and allows customization. The calorie counts are not always correct (some items say bedside them that you are increasing calories when you remove items). If you pay online, then you do not need to stand in line. You can walk in grab your bag and walk out. I would order from here again, but would stick with my main two options. read more

It's been awhile since having Noodles and Company used to eat it in Cary. Me and my daughter was in the area and decided to eat here wish we didn't. First off soda machine wasn't working and when it did there was black specks in my drink and the employee just shrugged it off. The Mac and cheese bowl was cold because they add cold cheese on top. We walked in at 5:30pm on a Saturday with some friends, but the cashier told us they had so many orders that they were backed up and needed to pause on taking new orders until they caught up a bit. The restaurant had few people in it other than folks waiting for pick-up orders, and appeared to have a full staff. He said if we wanted to get drinks and hang out a few minutes he'd let us know when we could order. So we did--and after half an hour they were still turning people away at the counter. Apparently online orders that were filling up the queue. That meant that in-person patrons were never going to be served, since it appeared orders were still coming in online even though they were not taking orders in-store. That seems like a system that needs to be fixed--why have a dining area if you won't actually serve people there? We left after 35 minutes or so with the visible monitors in the kitchen still full of orders and no indication we were ever going to be served (or even allowed to place an order). read more

Stopped by here and was surprised to see that they were only taking online orders. The process was ordering from your phone (though you can sit at a table) and then waiting for the order to be called. We got our order pretty quick and everything tasted fresh! My family got the mac and cheese dishes while I ordered the spicy Korean noodles with beef. The noodles were cooked well but were pretty tame in heat. For the price point for the dish it was a disappointing amount of beef included. Accompanied with the dining/ordering experience it was hard to justify the price. They have a variety of noodle dishes that are 100% customizable- pick the noodle, sauce, and toppings or you can pick their pre-made dishes. It was overly sauced, which made it too salty and simply unappetizing. In case you didn't know, Noodles & Company is a chain. I've been to one in Virginia before and their food is comparable to any other fast food chain: okay. With N&Co, you place your order at the register, find your table, and they'll bring out your food when it's ready. Their presentation is very modern and so is the restaurant. It's cute and casual. I've tried various dishes, but my favorite is the Penne Rosa with grilled chicken. However, I also like the Alfredo MontAmore and the Thai Hot Pot. Depending on the day/chef, the pasta can be perfect or too soft. TL;DR: Overall, the food isn't bad, but isn't great either. Service is super quick and ordering is easy (you can even order online for a quick take-out). This particular location has ample parking and is pretty easy to get in and out of too. read more

Had tried a friend's Korean beef noodles last year and thought it was decent so ordered that and they didn't even use the ramen noodle (which was the main reason I got the dish) this time, but instead they used the wider spaghetti noodles. One day we ordered the regular size meals but when we got home we realized they were smalls. Since we had used a coupon anyway, we let it slide. I love there pad Thai but all of a sudden it tastes very different-nothing like the original and not good either. I'm guessing staff isn't doing it right or Noodles changed the recipe. But they sent us a coupon recently so we figured we try again. I ordered the new coconut curry dish and it was terrible!!!! Insanely dry and the noodles were undercooked. We also ordered a dessert and they never put it in our bag (didn't realize this until we got home). I'm done with this place. This location also has a cleanliness issue in the seating area. I really have no idea how this place stays in business. We have been there twice and was there Sunday night 12/29. Ordered a kids Mac/cheese (this was ok) and a Pesto Cavatappi with chicken. When the food runner set it down I said- where are the mushrooms and tomato like shown in the picture. He said (pointing) there it is- I stirred it all around and said where- he said there. Again stirred and found 1 piece of tomato and 2 slivers of mushrooms. Really? We spent about $18 and got a total of probably 4 oz of dry pasta (30 cents worth), 2 drinks and an apple sauce. I've never had Noodles & Company before so I decided to come check it out during their preview night last week for dinner. The location is clean and new and there's a good outdoor seating area as well. The event was great overall and the service was super friendly as well. As for the food, I got the Japanese Pan Noodles with Beef and my friend got the Penne Rosa with Chicken. The Penne Rosa was good, and the portion size is decent for the price point (though definitely heavy on the pasta side and less so the ingredients.) The Japanese Pan Noodles on the other hand were pretty subapr and tasted like a microwaved frozen entree that was drenched in soy sauce. Not a fan. I probably should have known better than to order Asian noodles at an American fast casual chain. So all in all, I recommend you stick to the Italian items on the menu if you do stop by here for a quick bite. read more

Hi. I recently rated this place a 2 star. I'm wishing I could make this place a zero. FREAKIN SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!!!!!! GAVE ME FOOD POISONING!!!! If you look at my other review you will see how awful it was to eat there. Within MINUTES after leaving the place, I immediately was on the toilet with stuff coming from both ends. Here it is almost 2 days later, 2:15AM, and I am in the bathroom dying. This place is awful. Microwave food, lukewarm noodles; ugh I'm so annoyed. Get new management and new employees omg.
