After some shopping, I decided to stop by the E Bar for a toasted bagel before heading to my car. The blueberry bagel (~$2) was toasted pretty quickly and I was soon on my way out. However, as I walked into Nordstroms, I noticed a strong burnt scent emanating from the bag. I peered in and noticed a noticeably thick layer of burnt matter encrusted on the top of my bagel. I was shocked that the barista had handed me such an atrociously burnt bagel! I immediately brought it back to the E-bar and had to wait a few minutes before I could flag down the attention of the barista making drinks. She offered to make me a new bagel or refund my money, though she did not look pleased at all. I took the refund. While putting my money in my wallet, the gentleman who had toasted my bagel, finally, offered me my first apology. In my opinion, it was too late, too late. Bottom line: Service (and bagel) left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be returning. read more

Been to several Nordstrom cafe (or the ebar) before and it's my first time to the one at Santa Anita mall. I was here on Black Friday and you can imagine how exhausted I was after several hours of walking and fighting with the crowds. Anyway I needed a coffee and went to ebar. Tried a red tea latte which I have not had before; it doesn't have any milk or coffee taste at all; instead it has a very strong red tea taste which I have no problem with. Wanted to try their pastry but was not in a mood of eating so I passed this time; and they all look pretty good. Anyway ebar is a pretty good resting place after shopping, it has a relaxing environment, it plays soft music and sitting at the table with a nice coffee with you is just cozy. I really like Nordstrom's eBar! I always get ice vanilla latte ($3.40 tall) or sunburst (half tea and half orange juice; $2.90 tall). I also used to get the cherry or apple turnover, but I guess it's no longer part of the eBar's pastry menu. It's located outside of nordstrom on the first floor. Customer service is alright. This review might have a bias as I used to be an employee for Nordstrom but with going to coffee joints like Starbucks, I get bored having the same variety of bland drinks. Not to mention at times bad service from disgruntled employees. Hence why I usually go to the E-bar for my drink fix. As with the rest of Nordstrom company and their renowned customer service, the E-Bar no exception. Your cappuccino not as foamy as you like it? Do you want 3 Splendas, 2 pumps of sugar, and 110 degree milk? The E-Bar team is more than happy to provide drinks just the way you want them to. Even if the end result does not come to your liking, they will also remake your drinks over free of charge. My suggestions are the Mint Chip Ice Storm and the Double Berry Smoothie. As for pastries I would definitely go with the Fruit Tart when available or the cookies. read more

Their coffee never fails me. I always get their mocha ice storm. Their banana mocha ice storm is even better, but it's seasonal! :( if they have this drink year round, I'm sure I'm going to get it EVERYTIME im at this mall. It's that good. The girl that works closing time during holiday hours gives one of the worst costumer service. She did not greet and just asked for my order with a resting b*tch face. I said my thank you after I order and she ignored me so I thought OK maybe she didn't hear me. One of the old Asian lady that was waiting before me asked for a brown sugar and she motioned at the little area where you can get sugar/tissues/straws, and the old lady said there's none in there so she stormed off and went inside to get some brown sugar. I was shopping for hours and dropped by this little dent to take a rest since parked in the Nordstrom wing. I am a fan of their Red Tea Latte. I ve never had this rich flavor tea latte anywhere else. Other places may have stuff like tea latte, but not taste the same as this one. Smooth dairy fundamental brings the predominant red tea flavor, yet with a hint of cinnamon. The price is fair, as currently 3.15 for a tall. A lil gem to rest your feet. btw, you may have known that the floor material design of this shopping mall is a bit weird. What I love about Nordstrom is that they're very friendly and receptive to your ideas and comments. They always strive to assist you in any way needed. All these reviews are true. Sure the food & drinks are fine but this location still lacks the friendliness & professionalism that Nordstrom does such a fantastic job of providing. A smile, a hello, or thank you go a long way and it's difficult to get any of those here. Management needs to consider retraining, or maybe it's the managers I've dealt with when ordering. I'm not sure. I don't enjoy giving poor reviews but I felt I needed to shed some light on what service is being provided. I look forward to the positive changes that can happen! Thanks. I came in earlier today and the Barista Michael took my order. He was very nice and gave me a couple recommendations on what drinks were hot right now. While they all sounded good I declined and ordered a Strawberry Ice Storm I asked if there was anything that goes good with it and he recommended caramel. I first had the Nordstrom coffee at the Nordstrom in Chicago. Ever since then, I have always gotten coffee at the department store. It is a great coffee and consistent. The one at the Grove in Los ANgeles is great too. There are a few Nords with restaurants in them and I suggest you try those too. read more

I dunno where those other reviews came from but I had the best cappuccino ever! The foam was thick and the espresso was strong! They made promptly and the only waiting I did was in line, while the customer before me had the guy explain almost everything on the menu. I am sorry but if you are not sure what you are ordering then ASK the employee, don't just order blindly and then complain that the drink is wrong because a latte and a mocha different drinks. The guy was helpful and drink was fantastic. I will continue to order my cappuccinos only at Nordstrom E-Bar. read more
