One star for the lonnnnnng wait in the drive-thru and the inedible fries. I was the only car in the drive-thru and ended up wasting over 20 minutes waiting for my food. The 20 minutes may have been worth it, if the food was good. The cheeseburger was decent, a little watery from the lettuce - but the fries could not be eaten. There was 1 French fry that was edible. The were all dark brown, burnt, super greasy and hollow in the middle from being over cooked. My question is - how did the person who packed them in the paper sleeve think it was ok to give me food that couldn't be eaten ? They obviously don't give a crap about their customers and this experience makes me wonder what else they do in that place that we don't see ?! I will never, ever go there again. read more

So apparently across the street is supposedly a hella good sandwich place, but since it was closed the day my friends I wanted to go... we decided to cross the street and check our Norms! And just like its name, there isn't anything that stands out from it, but it sure is good all American comfort food. There's two areas to order: one outside facing the street and one inside. The restaurant serves a lot of Diner foods, including burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, sandwiches, burritos, tacos, etc. One important thing to note is that if you are using a debit card, they will charge you a $0.60 transaction fee. They will ask before they do, but be aware that cash may be better suited for this place. The avacado bacon burger I got was good, but not amazing. The chicken nuggets that my friend ordered were quite good though... they tasted healthy when really we knew they were a bite size heart attack. Orders don't come with drinks, but you can always ask for a cup of iced water afterward, and they will surely supply it. Their prices on the menu are favorable and the food is made fresh per order with not a 10-20 minute wait time. I'm obsessed with thin patties and Norm's has what I want. Double cheeseburger, perfect ratios, lettuce in all the right places. I also got the onion rings, which were greasy and crispy and not overly breaded and generally delightful. But don't eat all of them. Eat one quarter, or share with some friends. There are too many for a single person. Downside? I asked for BBQ sauce and they gave me some random off-brand packet that was practically frozen BBQ sauce. They say the close at 3 but they close earlier than that. Tried ordering online and was not able to so I went in. Their doors were still open and then they said were closed. I get it that it's a family owned business and they can do whatever they want but then you shouldn't say that you are open until 3 when you start cleaning up around 2.30. I really liked this place. They where busy so the tables were dirty but lady cleaned it right away and apologized. Food was great I got a cheeseburger combo ingredients where fresh they had a yummy sauce inside. My husband got the breakfast burrito with ham which he also enjoyed. I took a bite and it was very flavorful the cheese and potatoes where seasoned perfectly I've had a few breakfast burritos where the potatoes has been very bland. I've ordered them before and I felt like I got old and cold potatoes. However, this time I asked for a specific burrito. Basically a corner cottage copy, extra potatoes, 1 egg chopped in and sausage and salsa inside. They did this perfectly and was nearly identical to the Corner Cottage Burrito. If I want it to match it perfectly, next time I'll ask for American cheese. One thing to note, their bacon isn't usually very crunchy. I am not a fan. Sausage and chorizo are the best. I have heard that people like the steak. I bet it's dope with the salsa mixed into the burrito. Ordered and just short of 30 minutes to get our order. Lots of confusion with phone orders and walk-in orders. Food was COLD as I watched my meal sit for almost 25 minutes before my husband's pancakes and eggs were done. Also I ordered over easy eggs and got over hard. SUGGESTION - Place all orders on the new computer system and have phone orders pay over the phone, then crank out the orders in order of payment instead of doing a bunch of burritos first then others later. read more

I'll keep this simple and to the point. I used to eat here quite regularly. Liked their burgers, breakfast burritos, and especially their pastrami. For some reason their quality control went down the tube. Signs on their counter warning customers that on the weekends, wait time could be 45 minutes to an hour. For me, the final straw was a pastrami sandwich (they make a classic style pastrami "dip" on a French roll with mustard and pickles) I ordered. I got home, and it was pastrami on the roll with mayo, lettuce and tomato. I now go to Tom's Burgers at Burbank Blvd and Cahuenga. It's everything Norm's should be and more with a proper drive-thru and open 6 am to 9 pm. read more

I now live 45 minutes away & upon eating our burritos at home, we found absolutely no bacon in them. We ordered and paid extra for chorizo and bacon, yet did not get what we paid for. I saw the cashier note bacon on the order form, so this is the kitchen's big mistake. Totally being a drama queen but in the end I won't be recommending the spot anymore.
