I ate here at norms about 3-4x and it's always decent food. You get in and you get out. I would say better than dennys but similar. My parents go to a lot of different places to eat and I come along at times. Today I got the same breakfast burrito as I got last time I came to norms with my sister. I only ate a small piece of it, saved it for later. That's what's great about the portion size. It's big if you are dieting which I am because I'm working out more now but good for those hungry. Excellent Service thanks to Ruben, food came in at about 10 minutes tops, which was pretty much no time at all considering they were having quite a busy day. The food was also absolutely delicious, I myself tried the new york steak medium rare with a baked potato and fried breaded shrimp, it was amazing and the prices weren't bad either! My meal was 22 dollars for the listed meal, but overall the restaurant proved to be a cozy diner experience, definitely a classic for families who are looking for good breakfast or lunch spots, plus the manager Shuravi was well on top of things and attentive to our needs just as much as our waiter Ruben. read more

Had lunch with the hubby today and were served by an amazing server who I believes name is Brenda. She was super sweet, attentive, helpful with ordering and quick to tend to us. Everything we ordered was delicious 10/10 Definitely recommend and definitely returning! Came in for an Easter brunch with the family, we always come in every few weeks and the food was delicious and the service was amazing. The food is great! It's classic comfort food. The prices are low, and the portions are large! The staff is always friendly. Susie is our favorite server, but all the servers are nice. Susie just excels at adding that personal touch. We always ask for a table in her section whenever she is working. My mom and I have been coming here for lunch twice a week for several years now. 2/22/22 I'm gonna be honest off the bat that the reason hubby & I visited is to take advantage of the 2 meals for $22.22. Overall, not a bad deal considering the prices for meals these days. If you order 2 combo meals at Jack in the Box, it rings up about $25 easily. We're seated right away as we walked in & I was half expecting it to be packed at about 8 pm for dinner. Our server was pleasant & kindly with a unique name, Tahjae. We each ordered the T-bone Steak (mine) & hubby got the Blackened Salmon. He opted for fries & added a gumbo soup for $2.22, while I went with french fries. His gumbo arrived shortly $ it was piping hot, hit the spot, he said. Not long after our dinner arrived just as he finished his soup. My T-bone was cooked as ordered, perfect medium rare, hot & paired well with . seasoned fries. The steak was delicious & flavorful, tender & seasoned well also, although on the thin side. His salmon was tasty he said but a little bit more over done. It's not award winning but it fit the bill. For a chain store it rates about average. My husband said that it's not going to the kind of restaurant that will be our go to to vidit regular but we thought we'd give it a go nonetheless. There's ample parking and we paid via scan that was convenient. Service was good, Tahjae checked up on us about 3-4 times. Thanks Norms! One of our guilty pleasures... Usually on Saturdays - We walk to Norms for breakfast (their pancakes are almost as good as mom's!) and then back home again - About 5-miles... We typically sit at the counter and Cynthia always takes such good care of us... The entire staff is friendly - Today, we got to meet Susie - She too was very attentive, making sure we got everything we needed... If you enjoy a mid century vibe - You'll be all in! I came here and was extremely disappointed in their food quality. I'm not sure if this is the norm (no pun intended) but I left feeling grossed out. First off when I ordered a coffee, the brought out the French vanilla creamer in a to go container of which you'd find ranch or a side of ketchup. In lieu of a creamer cup like 99.9% of restaurants I saw they were pumping the creamer from a coffee mate jug into these little cups. When I received my second cup of coffee that I had to ask for, the waitress did not refill my little cup of creamer or bring another. The veggie omelette I had ordered tasted horrible. It did not have any flavor and the veggies were not cooked inside. The side of fruit I had ordered had not been strained and was sitting in some type of water concoction that left me not eating the fruit that was touching. The food was mediocre at best. Stopped by Friday morning 4 AM. The server didn't really care if I was there didn't listen to my order when I gave it to her ask for fruit got hashbrowns, threw a biscuit in the microwave to warm it up and then it sit on the counter for 12 minutes till I finally had to ask if I could have some butter with my biscuit sitting over there 2nd cup of coffee poured with ice cold after getting a fresh cup asked for more creamer she said OK it'll be a little bit. I have to go in the back. Didn't ask if I needed anything extra appeared to not want to be there only waitress in the place two other customers besides me no wonder it gets such bad reviews. They attend to everyone with a happy smile and btw the Food is amazing. Thank you to the chefs for working hard and the servers for hustling and helping others. The place feels like home when they talk to you in the language your comfortable with Spanish or english. the remodeling is verrry nice with even a new menu and new items hehehe. i recommend norms on Lakewood blvd when the family gets together even during the holidays. I wanted to write this review earlier but life happened. We went to this location on Easter Sunday, April 20. My in laws were in town and they specifically wanted to try Norms. They are from the mid-west and have heard good things about Norm's breakfast, especially their pancakes. Place was crowded and after a 10 min wait, we got seated at the round table in the back. The pancakes did not dissapoint, my in-laws loved it. It was thick, fluffy and fresh. The service was fast and food came out hot and quick. Special shout-out to our server Susie. She was courteous, attentive and kept our coffees and drinks full. She did upsell me on a couple of sides for my steak and eggs but it was worth it. My steak my cooked nice (medium rare).
