What a lovely little surprise! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at North End. Like a cat this eatery has had many lives but we are hoping this one will be around for awhile. The menu is diverse and the portions extremely generous. We had little hiccup when my husbands wedge salad wasn't delivered prior to his steak but the vigilant Chef Sam immediately caught the error and all was well in short order. They graciously comped us for the salad which is just one of the many reasons we will be back! The ribeye steak au poivre was cooked to perfection and the accompanying mashed potatoes were nothing short of divine. I highly recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Sangria. First of all we couldnt find parking although half of their parking lot is reserved for valet parking. I guess if you want to have dinner here, be ready to pay for valet parking. We arrived at 5:45pm just for reference. We finally found the entrance which wasnt clear since next to the restaurant is a bakery, and there stood three people looking at us expectantly like we were there for anything else but to dine. So hubby finally said table for three. All three start looking down at the screen. It seemed like they were trying to work out a mathematical equation. It was getting awkward and finally the guy, maybe manager, says yeah did you have a reservation? I knew it was going down hill from there, so I turn around and get ready to leave because in my head Im trying to think did I end up in Buckhead Atlanta and my navigation messed it up! No we re in Roswell and its almost 6 and no reservation! So moral of the story, stay in Kennesaw or Downtown Woodstock if you want to try something different without a reservation. read more

Nice outdoor patio area with some fire places for warmth. Menu was interesting- American but with a twist and a few special not traditional items. There being said I had the cheese burger and fries. I thought it was fantastic. They didn't just simply change the name of the restaurant here but they made a new menu that is so much better. The whole experience was just so much better. The best thing we ate here was the salads. They were unique and memorable. I can't remember the last time I had a salad that stood out as much as these. I started with the North End Salad. The great thing about the salad and really a good indication of a quality restaurant is that each individual component of the salad was delicious and could be enjoyed on its own. The salad mix itself was a quality artisan mix with lots of unique lettuces, it had colorful heirloom cherry tomatoes that were exceptionally sweet as tomatoes should be, the charred corn was perhaps the best part and was delicious and finally, their peppercorn ranch might have been the best salad dressing I ever had. Nice fat content without being too thick and the perfect earthy brashness of pepper without being overwhelming. I don't even care if they bought it this way, it's the best salad dressing I ever had.  For my main, I had the pork chop. It was a generous portion and cooked perfectly. An excellently juicy and tender cut of pork. The sides were pretty amazing too. They had mashed potatoes with a Boursin cheese and Brussel sprouts with bacon and honey. Two things that aren't entirely unheard of but the way they did the mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts I could have had those as mains. They were incredible.  As far as the service goes the waiter we originally had was not good. Rather, he had more tables than he could handle. However, as we began to wonder if he was going to come back to our table to take our order the manager or perhaps the owner came over to see if we were ok. When we said we were ready to place our order he took it which was an amazing show of hospitality. We only saw our waiter one more time but the manager checked back in so often we felt we had great service.  Overall I loved our visit here and the food was fantastic. Chef Mike really went out of his way with these dishes. The flavor in all of these dishes were truly remarkable. The calamari had a diverse selection of flavors from the fresh calamari, the crispy, light fry, and the plethora of spices added. All together with the chimichurri pesto makes your mouth explode with flavor. The braised short rib Bolognese is rich and hearty. The meatballs are tenderly filled with ricotta cheese creating a flavor bomb the nicely challenges the robust tomato sauce. The steak frites was excellently cooked medium rare with a flavorful garlic butter melted on top. This paired well with the garlic parmesan fries. Nice quaint place, went here for a celebration with 8 other co-workers. Beverages are on point with a good array of top shelf drinks and a good selection of beers on tap. TV's are prominent on both sides of the bar. Once my co-workers arrived we were seated j to the dining room. We sat in the back where there is a long communal table ready for us. Beverages were proffered quickly they gave us enough time to mingle and order. Four appetizers appeared, two flatbreads and truffle fries along with crab stuffed portabella. The flatbread was nice. The bread itself I thought was a bit too crispy since the whole thing crumbled and the toppings spewed from that. Truffle fries were amazing and the crab stuffed portabella was the best thing so far, Then we got the entrees, I ordered a sesame seared tuna with soy ginger sauce over whipped potatoes and perfectly cooked zucchini and yellow squash. My dish was great, there was a Lille ball of wasabi that was next to the fish. I thought that the presentation was awkward. For the best suggestion to improve that dish was to incorporate the wasabi into the whipped potatoes. Then pipe it out and chiffonade some quickly sautéed Napa or Bok Choy. Finish it off with the ginger sauce and black sesame seeds on top The other workers enjoyed their dishes since I was not going to be nosy by stabbing their entries with my fork... but I do have pictures... We were 1 of 3 tables, sitting inside & sadly the service was still extremely slow & the food not much better: the highlight was a Bloody Mary & a Bellini. I only have great things to say about Noca Eatery and Bar! My wife and I have been there twice now and both experiences were beyond amazing! Our first experience came from a need for a nice date night and we really played restaurant roulette and decided to check out Noca. I highly encourage everyone to do exactly like we did and go chill at the bar before going to your table. The hostesses are sweet, the servers are amazing, and the managers are so accommodating, but my favorite staff member is their bar manager, Dave! Dave is the man! Never call him just a bartender, he is a Mixologist who is creative, innovative, and a genius when it comes to his custom cocktails! He's also a genuinely good guy who loves his job and is really fun to converse with! Now for the food! My wife ordered their Scallops dish and ordered their braised beef entree and we were oohing and ahhing throughout the whole dinner with each bite! We were full, but we could have kept eating if there was anything left on our plate! Our second experience was probably the best customer service experience that we've ever had! We went for drinks after her birthday dinner at a different restaurant. (Yes, we loved Dave so much, we brought our friends and family to Noca just for drinks!) Because we're trying to be COVID cautious, we wanted to sit outside, but it was mid-30s with a freezing breeze so guess what the staff did for us? They set up their clear wall between the bar and their fire pit and gave us a bubble to hangout near the fire with space heaters! On top of that, Dave came out every few minutes to check in us and delivered some solid cocktails! He even went out of his way to create some epic drinks on the fly! We took six of us to celebrate two birthdays...NEVER AGAIN! A terribly noisy ambience started things off on a bad foot. It was SO loud (in the dining room, NOT the bar), it was impossible to comfortably carry on a conversation. Despite it being over 90 degrees outside, they had doors and windows open. So, if the noise didn't discourage you, the flies likely would have. The temperature INSIDE the dining room was 80 and rose to 82 before we were finished. We had several appetizers. The tuna tartare with avocado was delicious! The calamari was also crisp and tasty. The mussels in curry were destroyed by being so overcooked it was difficult to tell if there was still a mussel in each shell. HUGE disappointment! Our server was attentive and professional. Unfortunately, he was fighting a losing battle. He knew who ordered what and the person who "helped" him bring our food out, acted like it was his first night in fine dining...standing at one end of the table yelling "who had the xxxxxx". It was like being at Waffle House! For the most part the entree were good. The crusted grouper came cold, and the Korean short ribs, which are served in a cast iron skillet, were barely warm. The other four entrees were all satisfactory. They included the Korean French dip, fish tacos, steak and puttanesca pasta, and three crab cake-like patties. We all skipped dessert, despite our desire to further the birthday celebrations. This was the first time all three couples have tried North End, and the opinions were unanimous...it will be all our last. A terrible, expensive, and disappointing decision on our parts. There are too many more reliable, delicious restaurants within walking distance to take this risk again. read more

Easter brunch was fantastic! Noca opted for a limited menu approach vs a buffet, which was perfect for us. Choices included Prime Rib, Prime Rib Benedict (awesome!!), crab cake Benedict, etc. I opted for their famous Burger and frites, and my step dad had the barbecue meatloaf. Two in our party had the prime rib and my daughter had the prime rib Benedict. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection (and that was from a 14 year old!). The menu prices were much more reasonable than the crazy Easter brunch buffet prices we were seeing advertised. Who eats $34 worth of buffet anyway? This was perfect for us. Visited Noca last night for dinner with out-of-town friends. We were seated promptly in a booth in the dining room. The ambiance was just right. Our server, John, was friendly, fun and attentive. The menu was interesting and the meals we saw being delivered to others looked both large and presented well. First, we ordered the calamari appetizer for the table; this was a mistake. I love calamari and order it whenever it's available. This dish was unrecognizable. The dish looked like fried mozzarella sticks and that illusion continued because the dish came with a marinara sauce. Underseasoned and unremarkable. If I didn't know it was calamari, the flavor didn't convince me. I wouldn't order this again. BUT... Three of the four of us decided to dine on other appetizers from the large menu. It was a good decision because the appetizers were delicious and filling. I had the fried lobster tail and it was in the top two or three I'd ever enjoyed. Two of the others had the glazed tempura-style shrimp. Large shrimp and very tasty. Everyone agreed that these were great dishes. For dessert, we ordered the blueberry cobbler. Go there. Get this! 6/1921 It was the first time we had been there and boy what a treat. The corkage fee was $25 per bottle, which was kind of expensive since both couples brought a bottle. There was plenty of inside seating and the food was outstanding, but the service was kind of lacking. Maybe because they were so busy that night for Father's Day but, service was kind of slow. Food wise, you must try an appetizer of the muscles in white wine sauce. They were the largest mussels I've ever seen, and the white wine sauce had some lemon in it that made you almost want to drink just the sauce! Friends had the brussels sprouts and calamari which they said was outstanding as well. For the entree, I had the beef and reef, which consisted of rare tenderloin and grilled shrimp, which were both fantastic. We started with the charcuterie which was so good-the smoked filet mignon was something I've never tried and the accompaniments were just right! For dinner I had the beef and reef and my partner had the ribeye- both were delicious. We finished the meal with the White Russian creme brûlée and it was honestly the highlight of the meal. This is the worst service I've ever experienced. We had a reservation for 7 PM. It is now 9pm, I have seen our server no more than 4 times and still waiting on what we ordered. When we asked how much longer the food would take we were told that "no one knows". I would rather not eat than ever step foot in this establishment again, not even because of the nonexistent service but also because of the prices being insane for what it is. This restaurant is a chaotic mess. Glasses are constantly being broken, There is absolutely nowhere to park. The valet told us to just "wrap around" because there are a "bunch of open spots". My food on menu had no mention of blue cheese AND I explicitly told the waitress that I had an allergy to blue cheese.. I seek out the manager to advise if the situation. I starting on the story and he says with hand out in front "wooo, wooh wooh" ! And was defensive before even hearing the situation. Accused me of using the fbomb before he gave me the hand and "wooooed" me. I did say " don't fn woh me" but hey don't shove your hand in my face treat your customers like that, don't fn "wooh" me! Clearly the situation escalated. I am now sitting in my car having a significant allergy attack. Inhaler done heart rate elevated, not sure if epi is next. This asshat and the establishment he manages has put me in significant harms way and I got a hand shoved in my face. So hey asshat, double finger to you over and over again. I really hope you get fired! It will do the place some good. We went to North End on Thursday, June 23rd and had the BEST experience from start to finish. Normally I would not comment on the valet service, but I'm pretty sure we had the nicest valet we've ever met. Our server Sean was a 10/10....his service, attentiveness, attitude.....all AMAZING! We'll definitely be asking to sit in his section during our next visit. We also had a chance to meet Chef Mike, who came out to our table to introduce himself. We appreciated the time he took to come meet us and make sure everything was good. The food was delicious, drinks were very good and overall just a really great date night.
