Decided to come here in efforts to beat LA traffic and thankfully we managed to get seated immediately because of my reservation. Based off the impressions from other recent reviews, I heard the talk of the town was the pizza so me and my friend decided to order a Neapolitan pizza with meatball to split. I additionally ordered a chicken parmesan, though with white sauce as opposed to the normal red sauce. This was recommended by our server as I gave him my preferences, to which he happily gave some nice suggestions on the menu! It did not take long to receive our meals either despite how busy it was. We first got our pizza and after trying it, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was! Normally, I do not find that ricotta compliments pizza that much. However, all the components of this pizza mixed very well together, and each bite was just so rich with flavor. The only downside with this pizza was how greasy the center was, but me and my friend managed. Afterwards, the chicken parm arrived and I dug into the chicken first. As expected, it was seasoned very well and was very juicy! The pasta on the other hand was not that amazing even though the texture of the pasta was perfect al dente in my opinion. The sauce reminded me of the classico white alfredo sauce in a jar, which brought me back to childhood. Nevertheless, it was a sauce that I did not enjoy as much as everything else. In terms of prices, most of the items are on the higher end compared to other restaurants I have had but nothing too unjustified. My husband and I went to North Italia for drinks and appetizers at the bar and unfortunately had one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. A group near us was on speakerphone/FaceTime at full volume for over 20 minutes, completely disrupting the atmosphere for everyone around them. We politely brought it to the attention of our server, who informed management. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager, Romo, came over and argued with my husband. What made it even worse was Romo's response that this is a "public open space" and people are apparently entitled to be on speakerphone as loud as they want, regardless of how disruptive it is to other paying customers. Since when did restaurants become acceptable places for people to blast FaceTime calls across the bar while everyone else is trying to enjoy their evening? If management truly believes basic courtesy and restaurant etiquette no longer matter, then that says everything about the standards here. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for other customers completely ruined the experience. We won't be returning. For clarification since management repeatedly called this a "public space" that is inaccurate. This is a privately owned business open to the public, not a public park or sidewalk. Management absolutely has the right to address disruptive behavior, including customers blasting speakerphone or FaceTime calls that disturb other paying guests. The issue was never that they "couldn't" do anything?! it's that they chose not to. read more

What a breath of fresh air! Lately I've found that service when dining out is at a decline. I came here for brunch and had a very pleasant experience. Our server Regina was so kind and attentive. She answered all of our questions about menu items and made them sound even better than the menu. Okay, let me start off by saying this establishment is always busy so I had to try it out! I went on a date and my goodness. Seated promptly, the service was amazing. Our server was very attentive and even gave recommendations on wine + entrees. I got the squid ink pasta and my date got the salmon entree. The Baseline: For an Italian sit down restaurant the food must use of prime Italian ingredients (garlic, tomatoes, cheese, basil), preparation of sauces and al dente pasta, the meal portion size must leave me feeling full, and the service needs me feeling like I am part of the family. Food: The food at North Italia is good Italian and there isn't any time I can think of that it has disappointed me. This visit I tried the Crispy Eggplant Parmesan and Calamari Fritti small plates and both were crispy and the eggplant took on all the delicious Italian seasoning. The entrees were the Bolognese, crushed meatball rags, and tortellini al pomodoro which were all well sauced with the pastas cooked to an al dente preparation. The drinks were an iced tea and a Sicilian Margarita which all complemented the meal, with water glasses kept full. We opted for desert and the Tahitian Vanilla Panna Cotta which was well formed, perfect texture, and not overly sweet as you would expect from a panna cotta. The compliment desert we had a latte and a Jumpstart. I love the Jumpstart which was sweet and espresso shot shaken into a delicious concoction. Getting this every chance I can. Service: Service was not bad this visit but there was a few hiccups that caused the entrees to be delivered at different times. Decided to stop in for an early dinner before a concert at Intuit Dome. Everyone working was super friendly. We decided to sit outside because they really pump that air conditioning inside and I didn't have a sweatshirt. The meatballs and polenta were so good I would order those again and again. The white truffle garlic bread, while delicious, I had to stop eating knowing I was going to breathe garlic fire and not being able to brush my teeth. My friend got the bolognese and liked it a lot. I really enjoyed the pizza I got, the prosciutto. The fig, goat cheese and prosciutto all complemented each other very well. The crust, however, was less than ideal, about half of it was burnt. That was especially disappointing because the non-burnt crust was so tasty! We also got the chefs board which was pretty good, and definitely aesthetically pleasing. The ambiance was good, although we found it to be quite chilly inside. Apparently they don't have control over the thermostat in the building, so they are powerless to adjust the temperature. We came by for lunch yesterday 12/06/25 at 2pm after visiting Santa in the Manhattan Village. I figured we'd take advantage of the current holiday lunch promotion. I was able to make a reservation & we were quickly seated when we arrived. It was at least 15+ minutes before anyone came by to check in. Kinda crazy. The restaurant was nowhere near busy. I figured with the lunch promotion it would be way busier & hard to get a table, that was not the case. I could see 3-4 employees standing at the hostess area at one time chatting. Eventually our order was taken and by the speed of it all, I'm guessing the kitchen is understaffed. I mean, you can look over and see inside the kitchen. I couldn't see too many cooks/chefs back there. Even walking my five year old to the restroom I could see all the open tables. Lunch was so-so, I think the service soured the experience. I took my bolognese home, but enjoyed the bruschetta & Caesar salad while there. My daughter wasn't a fan of the cheeseburger. I took a bite and thought it wasn't too bad, I'm guessing the bun was baked in house and that threw her off. It's sad to write this review because we've had great dinner experiences here before. After Pantages show of Suffs we came here hungry and celebrating engagement of her son. I had the lasagna and it was delicious. Our server was nothing short of lovely - she took care of us with a smile on her face. Went here for dinner after a conference with my girlfriend. I must say, this venue does Italian food VERY well. It's a beautiful venue with great drinks, great service, and very good food. Paprdelle in ragú bolognese for me. A couple of drinks (I can't remember what they were) and a sundae type of dessert with a few different scoops of gelato. Also, my girlfriend and I split the meatballs. It's how we gauge the quality of an Italian restaurant. These sit in probably the top 3 I've had of all time. Overall this is a solid restaurant! We come here a lot for work dinners and celebrations and service is always great, the food is consistently good, and overall enjoy coming here. Some of my favorite dishes are the chicken Parmesan (love that it comes with rigatoni Alfredo that perfectly compliments the red sauce on the chicken parm) and also really enjoy the grilled bread and olive oil, the zucca chips and strozzapreti. Even as a big group, our server was great at making sure everyone was happy and was enjoying their experience. This review reflects our dining experience on Christmas Eve. Our family frequents this location because it is typically very family-friendly, and this was the second consecutive year we chose to spend our Christmas Eve here. Unfortunately, this year's experience fell far short of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were met by a hostess whose demeanor was unwelcoming and curt. She appeared unsympathetic and dismissive, particularly when we inquired about the extended wait time beyond what we had been quoted. With small children becoming restless, a bit of understanding would have gone a long way. This interaction was disappointing, as it was not representative of the hospitality we have experienced from the hostess team in the past. Once seated, our server continued the same tone. She was cold throughout the meal and did not acknowledge the holiday or offer even basic warmth or friendliness. While this alone was disappointing, the most troubling moment occurred toward the end of our visit when our server made a comment to my three-year-old daughter that left her visibly upset. On the drive home, my daughter repeatedly told me, "Mommy, that lady was mean to me," and she remained distressed even at bedtime. Whatever was said affected her deeply and overshadowed what should have been a joyful family evening. Given how often families with young children dine at this location, it is concerning to encounter staff behavior that leaves a child feeling hurt and saddened--especially on Christmas Eve. As a result of this experience, I cannot see our family, or our family friends, feeling comfortable returning to this location in the future. read more

So fluffy and truffy. I had my doubts (bc $17 for bread?) but I'm sold. The cacio e Pepe arancini is prob the only thing I definitely wouldn't order again. Didn't taste like cacio e Pepe and was too salty for my taste. The funghi pizza was good. Not the best - till you get into the bomba style cheese side dip/topping. That was a unique take. I would try something else on a next visit. The squid ink pasta was good but I had dismissed the server's warnings about the spice level. She wasn't kidding, the heat kind of builds as you continue to eat. I thought the sauce was tasty. Pasta texture was great, chewy and well cooked, and the pesto cream brought a nice richness. Salmon was cooked right, but the flavor didn't stand out much. Solid dish, just not a standout. For dessert, I got the brookie, which comes topped with a scoop of ice cream. Definitely a nice way to finish the meal.
