Food mediocre. Mistakes on our order. Server not very competent, although friendly. Restroom needed attention. Overcharged. Won't return.

The crab cakes were greasy. The wrap was boring. The omelet was ok. By the time you add a drink it's about $15-20 a person. All of the entrees felt $2 more than the value for the quality. The sides $1 more that the value for the quality. A basic cheeseburger is over $9 and it's $3 more for lettuce, tomato, onion, and fries. So you're at $12 for a boring improperly cooked burger. Add $3 for a drink and there's your $15. A basic grilled cheese is $5.50 with a pickle and a few chips. For the same price, I would choose a fast-food place. Service was slow and lots of mistakes were made. I'll chalk that up to it being newly open. There was a heavy mildew smell when we walked in. Hopefully that's dissipated. The breakfast foods on the tables looked better than the non-breakfast foods. I'd probably try it again for breakfast. The place has potential. But I wasn't impressed when I went.

We sat at the counter and ordered a Jonestown Breakfast special and 2 egg special. I had egg whites, sausage links, crispy homefries, French toast, and white toast. It was delicious to say the least! The waitress was super friendly and attentive! The entire meal came out to $30 for the both of us. Definitely going back! Customer service: 4.5/5 Cost: 4/5 Quality: 5/5

If I could give 10 stars I would. We stumbled upon this culturally rich and vibey black-owned…read morerestaurant today. The ambiance was beautiful inside and out. The Tuskegee Airmen mural on the side of the building told me that I was in the right place. Upon entering it reminded me of both my NYC and southern roots- from the beautiful woodwork, to the vibrant artwork, to the immaculate service from Estelle and her husband. They gave us a tour as well as a history rundown of the business and its owners. Now- on to the food. CHILEEEE!!! We started off with the spicy empanadas. They were delicious and not too spicy. They were juicy and seasoned to perfection. The sauce that comes with it is delicious! Me and my best friend had the boss lady- I had it with scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese grits and lawd that is the best catfish I've ever had. It was perfectly seasoned and perfectly fried. Reminded me of my nana's cooking! She had her grits with gruyere and she said it was phenomenal. Now my man had the burger and that thang was beautifully plated and he said it was delicious and cooked just as he asked! He also ordered the roasted potatoes and that boy took his time with them thangs, okay?! This meal was eaten in SILENCE (IYKYK). Lastly, we had the peanut butter chocolate cake. When I tell you I wanted to take my bra off and sit in a secluded room with that whew. I can't wait to go back with more family and friends.

The last item to come out was the fruit, which should have been the quickest out. Luckily, we were there for a girls' day and weren't in a rush, but be prepared. Food was clearly made to order and made with love! Egg on the burger was a little overcooked for what I asked for and same for the special peach cobbler french toast, but both were flavorful. The house was built around 1913 and was renovated to keep that calm elevated aesthetic. Chairs were very comfortable! There's artwork for sale to support local even more. Once a month they do a special dinner pairing with music. I'd give it 4.2 overall.
