One of the parts needed had to be special ordered, as soon as the part arrived they got to work, and I picked up my carpet cleaning van the next day. One of the parts needed was under warranty from them, and the other part I had to pay for, but honesty is very important to me. He was extremely honest and efficient. read more

I wasn't going to write this but the general public needs to know I took my 6.0 liter ford diesel to them for oil service anti freeze service and block heat replaced I picked my truck up the next day when I got the truck home it smelt hot I picked the hood to find they put the wrong antifreeze in They said they put in green because that's what they took out. That was a lie They said to bring it back and they would correct it. I took it to ford. I don't trust there ( northeast) work When you have a $ 15000.00 motor in a vechicle you need to follow the specs. This was a AAA Battery Replacement. From call to driver arrival was approximately 30 minutes ( likely under by a few minutes ). Driver who showed up was "Mark" he was wearing a mask for my protection and his from covid-19er. Mark was extremely professional and I was curious enough to ask him if he owned the company because he was hustling, walking fast and moving fast. My response when Mark said he did not own the company, was that the owner was very fortunate to have such an employee, very rare to see someone working on the clock for someone else to be this deliberate in his duties. Mark tested my battery, determined it was failed and replaced it. I was not timing him but I doubt if the entire evolution including paper work was over 20 minutes. Mark was also extremely POLITE. Occasionally you have an experience with a business that is perfect, this was one of those transactions, no one could have done a better job then Mark did this morning. VERY refreshing to have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about about a business transaction. Well done. read more

My insurance company contacted them to tow my car on Sat, 5/21/22. First NE Towing says they'll be there in 90-110 minutes. Two & a half hours later I called again. Told they'd be here in 30 minutes. Two hours later they say they're not going to tow me. It was almost midnight when I find this out! My car is part way in the street, no street lights & cars going by fast. By far the worst towing company I have ever dealt with. I called AAA at 3:00PM and they did not arrive to pick up the car until 1:00AM! I got the AAA call that Northeast Tow was coming to get my car at 4:00PM. The driver (Joe or Johnny) was extremely rude and refused to tow my car in 3 inches of snow. He said "If I get stuck nobody is going to come out and get me at 1:00AM" and "I don't see why you keep calling AAA". Maybe because it didn't get towed so I called every 3 hours to check the status. Luckily I was at my friends house when my car did not start so they let me spend the night. Imagine if I was stuck in a snowbank or something for 10 hours (hopefully they would come faster). Edit: The next morning I called AAA again and another driver came. He was really nice and understanding. He apologized for the inconvenience yesterday and said he didn't understand why they couldn't tow my car. He said "Yes, I work for Northeast Towing but all of our drivers are not the same". He talked to his manager about the other driver and hopefully his attitude changes. read more

They towed my car to my house and RIPPED THE BUMPER OFF. When I called to ask when this had happened, requesting before and after pictures, I was told they'd call me back tomorrow because they were busy. Followed up twice and nothing. I had Northeast come out to jump start my car twice in one week. Both drivers asked me pertinent questions about how my car was functioning. The second time around after explaining the situation, the guy took a further step and ran some more tests to find my battery was bad. Replaced it for me quickly and got me on my way. It took Northeast Towing 3.5 HOURs to get from Norwichtown to exit 24 in Griswold. They told me they would service me at 2pm (my insurance requested service at 11:30am); They came an hour after they said they would, at 3pm, and did NOT call to inform me they would be late or to apologize and explain. I called multiple times, and was told several times that the driver would call me back. HORRIBLE TOWING SERVICE Had my car towed to a repair shop by Simon at Northeast Towing after calling AAA. When I picked up my car there were black marks and soot covering the entire drivers' area. I checked with the repair shop and they assured me it was not caused by them. There was soot on the seat, wheel, inside handle, shift knob and on the seat belt. There were black boot marks at the bottom of the seat and along the running boards. Everywhere! How does a tow truck driver get your seat belt dirty? This is the worst auto service I've ever had. If you have AAA, do yourself a favor and have them remove Northeast Towing from their list of companies to call when your car needs to be towed. And if you do call them, and Simon shows up to tow your car, GOOD LUCK! read more

Broke down on the side of the highway and I had no idea where I was and had no landmarks to give to the driver who eventually picked me up. He picked me up and drove me about 10 miles and he didn't charge me the extra miles ( I only get 5 free miles). This was Sunday night mind you and the shop was closed. The driver was super nice and gave me all my options. The next day the manager called me to tell me my car was ready to go and gave me the price and let me pay over the phone. The manager was super nice as well. They didn't over charge me for the job either. Hard to find that in a shop these days. Overall customer service is great and my car has been better ever since. read more

I wish I could give negative stars because after 3 hours waiting they canceled my tow without contacting me. My insurance company kept calling me to see if I had been picked up by the tow driver and then they contacted the company on my behalf and that's when they said they can't do the tow! I was recently involved in a traffic accident and sustained damage to my vehicle in which needed to be towed. The other drivers insurance company set up the vehicle tow and they were informed as to where to bring my vehicle. Northeast Towing and Transport was the company contracted to come out and pick up and deliver my car. Upon pickup, there was absolutely no damage to the front bumper. My car arrived to the body shop who is also my family friend whom I trust and would have no other shop work on my car. When the vehicle arrived at the body shop, my car had somehow sustained damage to the lower part of my front bumper. I was not fortunate enough to be present at the time of drop off due to my work schedule. I have all pictures of the car before and after. The next day I went to Northeast Towing to discuss this damage. The tow manager was not in that day and he was to call me the next day. I never received a phone call, so I called. He was provided the pictures and could not see any damage. He then began to investigate further and went to look at my Facebook profile as well as my wifes to look at the pictures. He had 4 different windows open on his computer with pictures dating back 3 to 4 months prior to this event. He was then provided a photo from the Norwich Police Dept. that was taken a week prior to this incident that clearly shows no damage. The tow manager then began to tell me that the body shop and my family friend were lying to me and that he accepts no liability for any damages because of lack of proof. So now as a result of the accident, my vehicle has incurred more damage that now I have to fix in addition to what already is. read more

My Ford camper lost the fan belt going into foxwoods casino. I called northeast who promptly sent out mechanic with a new belt. After replacing belt he said one of two of the pulleys was the wrong one. He offered to have me follow him back to shop where he would replace it with the correct one. My mechanic installed new pulleys, tensioner and belt before leaving on short trip. Anyway, they did a great job Diagnosing and curing problem. My point is all they had to do was replace belt. Starter failed in my RV on a Sunday in the RV lot at Foxwoods. I called 5 different places that offer 24 hr heavy duty road service. This was the only facility willing to repair on the road. My roadside assistance called them to come tow my car. First it was going to be 45 minutes, then John from NE towing called me and told me it would be another 2 hours and asked if I wanted to cancel? Really? My car needed to be towed? Luckily I wasn't with the car. It was obvious that John was not interested in assisting me by his questions, attitude and when he said he would "try" after I requested a call when he was close to towing my car. Two hours later no call. When I called John, he informed me that the call was passed onto another driver and I should be getting a call. Half hour later when "other driver" still had not called, I called John back. "that call was cancelled" he informed me. When I inquired as to how I was supposed to know this without a call, he informed me that I needed to contact my road side assistance carrier. He was rude, unconcerned and unprofessional. Their motto "One call and Northeast will do it all" is a joke. Even after three calls this company didn't do anything - except blow off a customer. What a way to do business. read more

After getting a not-so-fair shake at another local repair shop my husband and I chose to come to Northeast Towing for a second opinion. John (who I think is the owner), was very pleasant and upfront about possible costs. At one point he asked if he could call us back so that he could figure out what parts exactly were needed as to give us the most accurate quote. Before hanging up with my husband John stated, "I'll call you back soon, in the meantime I am going to go earn your business." As promised the call back was very prompt and the quote was more than reasonable. Today we picked up our car and what we originally thought was wrong, wasn't and instead of doing the repairs we requested he did what was needed and it ended up saving us $300. This place is DEFINITELY somewhere we will use again and recommend to others. For the first time as we left a car repair shop we didn't feel like we were taken advantage of. read more

Recently I needed a tire changed on my truck. Local service garage (Northeast Towing Norwich CT). They came out and changed the tire. I didn't have a problem until a month later when I got a service airbag error on my dash board. I took the vehicle to the dealer for service, they informed me that the jack under the seat was not reinstalled properly and it had pulled a wire connector apart which gave me the error message. The dealer charged me 111.00 dollars to reconnect and install the jack and spare tire lower crank handle. I called AAA to discuss reimbursement because the road service tech didn't do a proper install. They told me I would have to take it up with the local service provider and that there hands were tied and would no longer advocate for me. I tried several times to contact Northeast Towing Norwich ct. I had one conversation with them and he explained it was not his problem but to send the bill over for review. I made many follow-up calls after my fax and could not contact the person in charge, Left many messages with my number but no one has called back. AAA has washed there hands and refuse to help me . My membership is up in Sept I have 5 cards in my family. I will be seeking another company that treats there customers better. If you need AAA don't let them send this garage. read more
