I will not take my cars to another repair shop again! Northwest Autoworks has saved my ass on multiple occasions and they make you feel like part of their family while your there. I first found them after my minivan had been broken into and had the ignition dilled out with an electric screw drive. I had called around to tons of shop and no one would do the work. I called Northwest and they said they could do the work no problem and worked with my insureces. It made that very stressful situation a breeze to handle and they did amazing work within the week. Now I have a 1990 Bronco and took it to a shop that was close to my house after I moved out of NE. That shop damaged the body of my car and quoted me $1400 for a clutch rebuild which it didn't need done. I got my car back from that shop and took it over to NW Autowork and they found that a pin needed to be replaced for a 1/4 of the cost of the quote from the other guys. They did the work and now my clutch is good as need. This happened all during covide and our fires and they still did amazing work and very quickly. I love bringing my cars here not just for the great work they do but to be able to have car guys that care work on my car. I couldn't recommend them enough. My husband, my friends, and his friends have all started taking their cars to NW Autoworks. read more

Scott is the most honest and reliable mechanic I've ever been to. As a woman, the idea of going to an auto repair shop really scares me as I often fear being taken advantage of as I am not auto repair savvy. Scott takes the time to show you the issues with your vehicle (he has actually put my car on the lift and showed me the malfunctioning parts so I know the specific pieces that need to be replaced). When I moved to Portland from NY I drove all the way here by myself and my car died as soon as I got here. I didn't know anyone and had no choice but to bring it to a shop, and so I found Scott here on Yelp. He did me several favors and got my car up and running for me again so that I wouldn't be stuck in a strange city with no transportation. I genuinely look forward to bringing my brand new car into him for repairs as opposed to going to the dealership which I do not trust. Also, I live out in Beaverton and still feel it is worth it to drive all the way to the other side of town to have him do my repairs. Thanks for everything, Scott! These guys are awesome! I was picking up someone from the airport and needed a new headlight bulb. On a 2005 Nissan Altima like mine, that's a REAL PAIN and most places are charging $50 to replace a $3 bulb and complain about the poor design of the car. I did not have an appointment but they replaced the bulb quickly, in the rain with no complaints and only charged me $14.00 including the bulb! Plus, they ordered a part I needed for my hood, I went out for lunch, and came back- they were on it immediately. I will be traveling from SW Portland out to NE because I have an older car, I know I can trust what they tell me and they offer great customer service. read more

I was referred to NW Autoworks by Turton's, a longtime auto shop on Killingsworth with an excellent reputation, whose owner retired. I am very impressed and satisfied with my new mechanic! They have worked on both my Honda Odyssey and Mini Cooper. They did the footwork to find me a used door for my Mini when it needed to be replaced which saved me over half of what it was going to cost to replace the door new. Have changed my oil in both cars for less than the box oil changing companies price and are available for questions and consultations over the phone. I recently moved to Portland, OR and have struggled to find an auto mechanic shop that cared. Scott and his amazing team have been so easy to work with and beyond honest. When a shop says "if you can find the part for cheaper, order it, and we will install it" you know they care. Any other shop would not allow that. I will be taking my Chevrolet Van and Volkswagen to Scott for everything. Scott and team did a killer job installing new shocks, lift kit, and all new wheels and tires. My windshield wipers were acting up on a rather rainy Oregon day. I walked in and was greeted right away by the best looking repair men I've seen to date. I showed them the issue and within 5 minutes they fixed the problem. They were kind and professional despite the fact I probably could have fixed it myself if I had any car knowledge at all. Scott was amazing, we took a truck in for a pre purchase inspection and with in 15 minutes he had diagnosed that they (the seller) were trying to hide engine trouble with leak stop in the radiator.
