I brought my car to Norwell Collision per recommendation of a Mercedes dealer. The car was involved in a deer hitting accident and was eventually considered totaled. Norwell collision charges were over $8,000 ($250 to tear down, $1300 for administration and over $6000 ($200/day) for storage of which the insurance company pays $35/day. Norwell Collision charges Geico $40/day as a preferred vendor. Out of my pocket is $5200 for storage only! I worked with Junior all along the way but now trying to discuss a reasonable cost for storage with Mohamed has been a major challenge as this owner is out of the country (Lebanon) for months at a time and will not respond to any discussion requests. Unfortunately, I took the car there which I never will again as this process has shown me that this business owner does not care about ripping of his customers or repeat business. my car was backed into by a large commercial van while I was sitting at a stop sign. The front of the car sustained $13,000 in damages. The car could not be driven. While waiting for a ride I called Norwell Collision having used their company 8 years before when my old car was rear ended. Eddie was incredibly professional, efficient and had a wrecker on the scene within 20 min. He organized the tow, the appraiser's visit and estimate and ordered parts within 2 days of the accident. He kept me updated on the progress of delivered parts and repairs. This process not only occurred Christmas week but in a time of supply chain delays. Yet Eddie had my car repaired, painted, detailed and waxed and back on the road in 10 days. All the while he was incredibly pleasant and definitely went the extra mile in every way to make a difficult time effortless on my part. I decided to drop the car off a few days later (without even calling ahead) and he reported that it might be a few days wait before they got started on it. This collision shop was highly recommended by my long-time mechanic. I brought in my son's battered car with a flattened front-end and folded up hood. They helped us think through the economics of claiming it under the insurance policy vs. fixing it on our own, and the resulting work was excellent. I never had a car brought to a shop before so I don't know how to compare. But I do know when I picked up my car yesterday I was slightly disappointed in the customer service. I have worked in customer service for almost 15 years so I know how to make people happy. When I was called that my car was ready for pick up due to the snow she did say they didn't bring it to that car wash. Seeing that snow was in the forecast the next week it didn't bother me that the outside of my car wasn't going to be cleaned. What bothered me is my car was COVERED in snow!! I had to clean my own car off when I picked it up. I was outside of the office scrapping snow and ice off my car. Then when I was driving my car home I noticed dust/dirt particles all over my dashboard. I'm guessing from the buffing and painting of my car. Which caused my eyes to burn and water when I turned the heat on and that stuff was blowing everywhere. And if I wasn't turned off by the customer service enough when I went to put gas in my car the gas door was GLUED shut. I had to stand outside in the cold prying the gas door with my car key to unglue and open it. It's the little things that can make a good satisfying experience turn sour. read more

I was in an accident that was the other party's fault. My car ended up having the repairs done correctly but instead of taking less than the 2 weeks they said it was going to take, it took 5 weeks! Not once did anyone call with any updates. We had to call them for the updates and kept being put off saying they were "waiting for parts." Additionally, they had the info that it was the other party's fault (who admitted to our insurance company on the scene of the accident and gave all his info at that time), yet we were charged almost $600 by the rental company because Norwell Collision failed to provide the 3rd party info to them. Our insurance company pays for $15/day of rental coverage, but because we have 3 children, we needed a larger vehicle (the one we got was not much larger than a sedan, but cost $30/day, $15 more per day than we had coverage for). We were told it was all set and that the rental would be PAID IN FULL since the other person was 100% at fault and for us not to worry. On top of that, Norwell Collision had our car for 40 days, yes 40, so we were charged $15/day for 40 days of rental. The staff was very nice, but these problems should not have occurred. Now we have to get reimbursed by our insurance company for the $600, a Hell no one wants to have to deal with. This company will no longer be on our insurance company's preferred list (per our company representative). read more
