Came here for happy hour from 4-5. My friends are frequent Nosh goers and highly recommended it but this was my first time. I got the Margherita flat bread and truffle fries which both were very good and reasonably priced. The place was completely empty because we went on a Tuesday at 4pm and so the service was very attentive. We stopped by in the early afternoon and the place was pretty empty. We found a comfortable table towards the back to have some good conversation. We both had salads and some great local beers. My first time visiting Nosh and it was a great experience. I made reservations which were very easy through Yelp, and my table was promptly ready when I arrived. Our server was friendly, and I told her, that any sauvignon blanc would be great. I never asked for the name, it tasted great which is all that mattered. We decided to try two appetizers. The Smoked Salmon Bruschetta and Spinach and Artichoke dip. (Isn't it a must to order Spinach and Artichoke dip where ever you go?) Everything was good, nothing was great. This is more like a 3.5 star review and feel but I'm rounding up because of possible COVID staffing issues, etc. We were seated immediately and with a pleasant feel so we were off to a great start. The decor is nice and pretty but also somehow a bit "almost" - as if one small change could bring the place to life. Maybe a more interesting paint color on the walls? Service was friendly and good. Slightly slow but we were there on a busy downtown Saturday night and of course they could've been dealing with COVID short-staffing like so many other places are. Once our food came out we had the same reaction to all of it: it's good not great. There were no wow moments but neither were there any disappointments. Salad was good, bruschetta was good, frites were good, and burger was good (though it could've used more seasoning). Having said that, our wines were delicious(!) and the price point was dialed in perfectly for the experience. We have been going to Nosh since 2017. It was one of our favorites. In the last few years it started to go downhill and we had bad experience after bad experience. So tonight, we decided to attend the @hollandcenter 20 year anniversary performance and give the new owners of Nosh a try. As soon as we arrived, the people in line ahead of us were complaining that they had been standing there for 10+ minutes while the hostess stood at a table of her friends and talked. We finally got seated and it took 20 minutes to get a wine menu. 30 minutes after being seated, our server finally came to the table. We explained that we were in a bit of a time crunch at that point to be able to get to the performance on time. She told us no problem at all, we ordered a couple of light appetizers and a salad. 45 minutes later, the hostess walked by and we asked where our food was. She became extremely argumentative about how busy they were and when our friend stood up to leave the table and go to the restroom, she said he was "threatening her". She then proceeded to tell us that since we were in such a hurry, she would get our food in a to-go box. 10 minutes later she came back to our table and proceeded to kick us out of the restaurant. Through this entire process, we were nothing but respectful but questioning why it was taking so long for just a few light appetizers. Being treated the way we were is the worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant, and we will never go back. So much for trying to support local. @thesteelhouseomaha @thehollandcenter @omahaperformingarts this restaurant doesn't deserve to be the closest food establishment to your venues. You and your customers deserve better. Shame on Nosh and their new owners. Some customer service training is desperately needed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The servers didn't know what the house drinks were, there was a mix up on the house sparkling wine. Mojito was not cold and very overpriced (served in a small champagne flute). Ordered a falafel wrap, was delicious, came with Italian meatball soup, was good as well. Ordered the lunch special of half margarita pizza and half apple walnut salad ($6.99), added chicken to the pizza (turned out to be $6 up charge ), hamburger was well made, delicious, got garlic Parmesan fries with it and server was confused about that as well. I would like to preface that I am extremely forgiving when it comes to customer service. I tip 20% as a minimum regardless of service. However! This place was extremely bizarre and also very unprofessional. We were one of maybe ten people there, and yet it took approximately fifteen minutes for anyone to come to our table, and another five for them to come back and take our order. When we did put in our order, they were out of most of the things on the menu (and this was during prime Friday night dinner time). We let them know we had a show to get to down the street and asked for them to bring the check with the meal (of which we had to select from an already extremely limited menu--what italian restaurant runs out of noodles??). About ten minutes later they come to tell us that there are six people ahead of us (who? there's no one here??) and it would be a half hour and was that okay, which, no, bc of the aforementioned show, so we told them we would just cancel our ticket. They did charge us $15 for a cocktail we didn't get a chance to finish tho, so that was cool. Fwiw, I don't really care about staff professionalism, bc it's customer service and customer service is a horrible job, but for people who do care about it they were pretty bad at it lol. Very casual and flippant, which was counter to what you would expect from the atmosphere. Again, that wasn't the least of my concerns, but I know some people care about that, so if you're looking for a nice, professional, elegant experience, and also to eat food at all, probably go somewhere else. 0/10, had a bad time. I can't give an opinion on the food, tho, bc they did not give me any of it, and also most of it was gone, so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hope you find somewhere better, or if you do go here, go like, an extra hour ahead of time because you will receive extremely slow service. Second time we have been to nosh. We are not from Omaha so we do not get a chance to stop by restraunts often. Had a great experience the first time. Today was much different. We had quality wine and food like last time. But what a difference service can make!! We happened to sit at the bar this time. It was a chore to get our order and a second round of drinks. Then had to almost scream to get his attention to get the bill. He walked by us almost constantly but could not be bothered to make eye contact or ask if we needed anything.
