So disappointed in the service. They have teenagers running the shop. When I went in to look for a cake for my husband and they had no suggestions. When I asked to sample the cake I wanted to purchase she told me they could not. How do you expect to have customers spend 40 bucks on a cake but can not sample it. I'll stick with kreative cupcakes from now on!!! So this is the managers response. ( captioned below) They only had two selections for men one football cake and one golf! The manager was is the back of the store but claims he over heard the conversation. The young lady stated they sample cakes every hour and they also have mini cakes as well so why not sample a small price of cake for a paying customer. $ 40.00 is already pricy to not taste the cake you are going to purchase. Seem like their customer service model needs some work. Also I am not sure what "private for now" but ok lol The proper response should have been "I would love for you to try our amazing cakes. let me know when you are available to come in so I can make sure that cake is on sample." As you know, but neglected to comment in your review, you were offered a sample to try, but you declined because it was not the flavor you wanted. Also, as I am far from a teenager in age and was there, I know teenagers are not running the shop. I was the person you spoke with when you called back to complain. At that time, I also apologized for your experience but tried to explain why we can't sample more than one flavor at a time. As I see this, for the simple reason that we only sample one cake flavor at a time and it didn't happen to be the flavor you wanted to try, you have chosen to give an intentionally harmful and distorted review. People love our cakes because it is simply the best cake they have ever had and our GSRs always treat our guests kindly, respectfully and with warmth. I have been ordering from this location since it opened and order all of my cakes for special occasions at this location. However, this last time I ordered their Give Thanks cake I was very disappointed. I ordered the cake online yesterday at 12:00 pm for pick up today at 1:15. Later that day, I found out that me and my family members had to get tested for Covid and won't find out our results until Monday. I spoke to Angela Benedetto, the GM, at 10:15 today and she explained their policy. She said that once decorations have been added to a cake, a refund (which I did not want) nor a cake replacement could be made (I did want to see if I could have a fresh cake for the following weekend bc the gathering the cake was for had to be rescheduled due to our pending COVID test results). She said that I could have someone else pick up the cake or myself (after I got my test results back) by Monday or else it would be donated to a food bank (which I truly love that they do that with day old cakes instead of throwing them out). I know Angela could not do anything about their policy so I requested the franchise owner's contact information because I feel this policy needs to be reviewed especially because they have such a great business with many people who love their product and their customer service (which I did up until now). I also felt Angela made it very difficult for me to get the franchise owner's detailed contact information even though she disagreed with me. I just want the public to know that should they order a cake and the decorations have already been added to the cake nothing can be done. Before I added this review to yelp* the following message appeared, "Many businesses are doing their best during COVID. Thank you for taking this into consideration if things did not go as planned." I felt like I was doing my best to protect the business employees by disclosing my personal information (I even offered to show proof of my COVID test and offered to bring in the results) and customers by not entering the store. Called in an order for a dozen bundt cakes the day before I picked them up. When I pulled up to the curb side service and placed my phone call I was instantly put on hold. After waiting five minutes with no response I hung up and tried to call again and was put on hold again. After waiting again I hung up and tried again. Same story. DONT COME HERE! I ordered cake and balloons for Mj's kiddo's birthday. The balloons flew away bc no one tied them to the package. And it's windy today. So, they made more for me. I called the store directly a couple of days ahead to confirm the scheduled delivery and the woman on the phone was friendly, kind and very helpful. The day of delivery I got a confirmation call from the driver early in the day. She also called back after she made the delivery to let me know it had gone fine. My grandson was delighted and sent me a picture of a beautiful, festive cake, he was delighted. I already knew the cakes were good. The next day, the owner reconnected with me and vowed to make things right! Today, I received in the mail, what I would consider an extremely generous compensation!! Unfortunately, it's Easter and this cake was for a special Easter occasion and I could not leave the house and go back to get another. I called the bakery and spoke to one worker in which was no help and then had a manger call me back. The manager called me to inform me she didn't have anymore of the cake flavor I originally purchased. She then proceeded to tell me I had 30 days to pick up a replacement. This situation was not handled professional and I feel like if it was blamed on me that I was given the wrong cake. All I can say is yummy! I received a red velvet cake around Christmas time from one of my husband's clients. I must say that it was the best red velvet cake I had ever eaten. I have been dreaming about this cake every since Xmas. I attempted to go to this store twice but they were closed. I should have doubled checked the hours. Anyway I finally made it in the store and I was not disappointed. They had red velvet samples so I was able to taste those little moist pieces of goodness. The family and I went in and since we couldn't agree on a cake we ordered the bundettes. We chose the lemon, marble, confetti and red velvet, and My oh my were they good!I am really not a big fan of cake but once I tasted that most delicious red velvet cake I was hooked!! I served it at a holiday get together and everyone went on and on about that cake. My only critique would be is that we bought 8 bundtlets 2 of each of the above mentioned flavors. As I was leaving I saw they had a deal for a dozen. It would have been nice for the lady at the counter to mention that. I guess she assumed we could read Lol. I asked for 48 buntings for my daughter's classroom to celebrate her birthday. We discussed over the phone that they would separate two specific flavors for the birthday girl. Then 3 more customers show up but 1 doesn't read the signs. So she stands directly next to the sign stating that line was meant for Placing Orders. When the employee comes outside to help the curbside order the woman in the wrong spot tells the employee she needs her order that she placed! The employee finishes with curbside and then helps her, not those of us in the correct line (4 people in the blazing sun) and then when she's done helping her she says "who's next?" Uh how about the person in THE FRONT OF THE LINE?!?!? Was it personal?? Do they not care about the process they set up? IS there an actual process the employees know and use? What's the point?!?!
