In addition, they also have other flavors you can pick from for the bundtinis (you can mix and match flavors). There are seasonal flavors such as pumpkin spice and peppermint chocolate. Being 7 1/2 months pregnant and craving red velvet cupcakes my usual bakery by my house was closed until the 8th so I was searching where else they sell red velvet cupcakes on Friday and saw this place sold them so we decided to go and try them out. The shop is very cute and has a lot of small gifts and house hold items that would be a very cute additive in your kitchen or living room. Bought 2 red velvet mini cakes - I've had red velvet cakes as well and these didn't exactly satisfy my craving for red velvet either. Didn't really taste like them, I did like that they were moist and the cream cheese was good and the surprise chocolate chips they add. Would I come back and get red velvet? Horrible experience. Was picking up a pre ordered cake for my moms 50th bday party ($75) I think. They were not aware of my cake, girl goes in the back ....iced my cake in a hurry and wrapped it all up in the plastic, after 15 minutes she comes out ...all the icing was smooshed on the plastic, I pointed it out and the girl decided to give me attitude about it, I asked for the manager ....waited for her to arrive, talked to the manager who did not apologize and just gave me the same attitude I explained that it was for my mothers 50th bday happening in a couple hours and that the cake looked nothing like the picture and that the icing was all smeared on the plastic, the previous customer with the same cake was offered to take it in two separate boxes so that the icing wouldn't smear why I wasn't offered the same boxes I don't know, she just came out with it in plastic and all ruined. The bakery manager did not help not one bit. I had to get a refund and left with NO CAKE for my mothers party. Devastating. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. I anticipate a generic message from the company asking me to stop in and speak to the bakery manager to address my concerns as the previous messages suggested. read more

You figure by 2017 there shouldn't be such a thing as people being "selective" and how a business treats the customer and the service they provide based on their race or how they look. I use the word selective cuz I don't like to believe that people are still racist. I'm a Latino male and my children love Bundt Cakes but unfortunately I experienced some selectiveness in this place. When I came in to purchase a cake for my son's birthday there were two other customers ahead of me both Caucasian the girl helping them greeted them smiled and was very pleasant towards them. When she had serve both of these customers it was my turn. To my disappointment she did not greet me I was the one that said hello to her and that's when she replied I asked for my cake she was very short with me did not say thank you even after I said thank you and wished her a good day. I have experience this before mostly I ignore it but the fact that I'm constantly buying cakes from here I think I should speak up. I will not give them one star because their cakes are amazing but I really don't think at this day and age people shouldn't know how to treat people all the same regardless of who they are. There were free samples of the raspberry flavor put out the day I went. The raspberry was really good. I loved the cream cheese frosting. I ended up getting two "bundtlets" in red velvet and chocolate chocolate chip. The bundlet is like a large cupcake size. They were $4.50 each. I definitely recommend trying the red velvet. It was the best red velvet cake I have ever had. It had a lot of moisture and had the right amount of sweetness. FYI, you can only get the super mini "bundtinis" by the dozen for $19, so I settled for the medium sized bundlet. The store is very clean and visually appealing. There are a lot of party knick knacks that you can buy here like striped paper straws. Strange to mention, but the air in that store smelled really fresh and clean. Service is also really friendly. I love coming here, the inside of the store is very kitschy and full of birthday cards, candles, cake supplies, etc. I haven't been to an NBC in a while so the girl at the register, Josephine helped me out and was very respectful. Over-priced processed sugar? Why?? When they first opened, my curiosity got the better of me and I got a lemon bundt and threw most of it. If there was lemon in that thing, I couldn't detect it. Cloyingly sweet and smothered in some inedible fake crap they call 'frosting,' so thick, it wouldn't budge . . . nothing about the taste or texture was right. I wanted a light and ethereal, fresh moist sensation, but no I got a hockey puck of pretend lemon. For the price of a teensy sized artificial sugary tasting cake . . . and calling it a 'cake' is generous, it fits in the palm of my hand. I could go to Trader Joe's down the street and buy an entire triple layer chocolate cake--for the price of one bundt cupcake. Did I mention the surly, impatient attitude? The employees seemed they couldn't wait to get off their shift. Not a good experience. We had a work birthday party today, so my Mom ordered a dozen bundtinis on Saturday 10/6 to be picked up this morning, Tuesday 10/9. When she went in to pick them up, she was told that two of the flavors she had ordered- red velvet and white chocolate raspberry- were sold out, and wouldn't be ready for another hour or so (which would have been too late for the party). Keep in mind my Mom arrived at the agreed upon time from the phone call on Saturday. Very disappointed, to say the least. I realize flavors sell out, but if someone orders specific flavors more than 3 days in advance there's no excuse for not having what the customer ordered. If a customer orders 6 red velvet bundtinis to pick up on Tuesday morning, and you have 6 red velvet bundtinis left, don't sell them before the prearranged pickup time. She picked replacement flavors, which were fine, but not what we wanted. Again, very disappointed and we likely won't return here for our next party. read more

Best cake of my life! My husband and I literally went to sugar heaven over the mini bundt cakes. By no means, are they mini. They definitely are worth the price and calories. I had the lemon cake with rich cream cheese frosting and my husband has a lovely carrot cake with the same frosting. Both were moist and deeply satisfying. I have been a loyal customer at this location since it opened and before that I went to their San Carlos location. I go every single Friday with my grandson. I make my purchase and hand them my rewards card that they punch each time. I went in a few weeks and had to go back 3 different days just to get a Pumpkin Spice cake! They never seem to stock their cases and you wait in line just to ask if they have any! I finally got one and gave the salesperson my rewards card and she said " this is not ours" in a not so nice tone. I already had 10 punches in it and use it every week without a problem. I said the card was theirs and she replied " it is from Daly City store". I said " I had never been there and ask where it even was? " She called me a liar and I paid her and she did not even put my items in a bag. I was horrified and very upset. I went the next day to the store and showed the same card and asked the 2 clerks if this was theirs and they said "yes" those are our cards" I have no idea how they gave me one from another store but I did get it there! What a rude clerk that should not be in customer service! The worst part is I a manger of a local hotel and we did a lot of business with them and sent a lot of guest there. I called and left a message for the owner to call me and been waiting for a Month for a return call!!!!!! I email them and no response! I don't like negative Yelp reviews but I am hoping that maybe now the owner will respond to me! I want a apology for her employee calling me a liar! Love the cakes. I always order on-line and prepay so all I have to do is go in and pick it up. They need to train their employees better. I was the next customer in line and and it started to get busy in the store. Another employee came out to help out and saw the first person and asked can I help you. I tried to inform them I was next in line but she still helped that person first because he called in the order. The cakes here are almost moist and great. The cakes (with the frosting) may be a little too sweet though. They always have samples so you can try the flavors. The bundt cakes are pretty good though a bit on the sweet side. Unless you are buying a cake that you see at the counter, buying on a weekend would require an extremely long wait. I just wanted their package of a dozen small cakes which i thought they would just pickout from the kitchen and put in a box. 4 min job max you would think. Think again. I was in there for like 15mins. Turns out they have to put the icing on after you order. With so many customers there on a sat morning this took what seemes like an eternity.
