Cake is no doubt great. Normally, I don't write reviews. However, I could not let this go. When Nothing Bundt Cakes in Daly City told me they could not do balloon bouquets, I called this bakery and placed in my order. They said it would be ready between 11am-12pm on pick up dayS I drove 20 minutes to the bakery and was told "sorry, the person that took your order didn't know we don't take balloon bouquets at this time." They told me after I drove 20 minutes. They didn't call me the day before. They didn't call me the morning of. They waited until I came to the bakery. Very Unprofessional. read more

I'm not sure I will go to this location anymore for the bundt cakes. I had placed an online order and it wasn't found. So the person who worked there had to put together my order. I would have been fine with that, except the customer service was horrendous. She didn't acknowledge me when I walked in and then she didn't look up and ask what I needed for two minutes. Then she practically rolled her eyes at me when my order wasn't found and she had to put it together. Maybe she was having a bad day, or maybe she needs to get out of the retail business so she doesn't have to work with the general public. I sent this email to the email address located on the website and received no reply from management so I am posting it here. I went to the Millbrae location Saturday Feb 2. The service was incredibly unprofessional and I thought you should know. I came in to get a small individual cake, (bundtlet) not pre-ordered just the ones in the case. I asked if there were other bundlets in the back. I was told no. I asked if there would be others coming. I was told no. I asked if there were any chocolates bundtinis, I was told yes. So I waited for some of dozen along with a few other flavors to make one dozen. While I waited for the dozen bundtinis, another person came in and asked for a chocolate bundtlet. She was told, yes, there were some. I was stunned and confused because I was told there were none. I asked the woman at the register why she told me there were no more coming out. She said they made some in the back. I said why did you tell me there would be none if they are making more in the back? She had no answer. The lady offered to give me her chocolate one. I told her that is ok but thanked her for her kindness. I would have walked out or not ordered if I had not already paid for my order. There was no thanks for coming or sorry for the wait which was about 10-15 minutes. I do not know what service is NORMALLY like at this location but I have no interest in returning to this one. I have had the cakes before and I know they are very good. However your representative should know what is in the back before saying there is no more of of a flavor. To offer a cake to a different customer when the first customer is told no, is at BEST unprofessional and rude. read more

If you are longing for a moist cake with just the right amount of frosting, then come to this place! My friend brought the Chocolate Chocolate Chip one to a party along with the White Chocolate Raspberry. Both were so delicious! The size was perfect for two to share and they have larger ones if you want it to serve more people. I only wish there was one closer to where I live. I'll be back to get a future birhday cake here! Called to order a bunch of the smallest type to pick up (b/c I knew I would be in a hurry)...was told there would be no wait for them and there was no minimum. Fast forward 30 minutes later and I get to the store and the snarky clerk says, the smallest kind, called buntinis take 3-5 minutes to put together and you need to get a dozen at a time! And, she couldn't get my order right - rolling her eyes and sighing as she takes a few times to really listen to my order. Devina was the name on the receipt. Don't get me wrong these cakes taste good but they taste like something you can make yourself at home. (Probably even better at home). The frosting is ok, they layer it pretty thick and the cake is moist but as I said nothing one couldn't make at home. read more

The customer service at Millbrae is deplorable. I've been a long time customer from southern California to the Bay Area, and have never had any issues, but will not be returning here. The two young ladies working at approximately 5pm today were rude and impatient. I asked one question and the shorter girl rolled her eyes and retorted an unhelpful answer. Then, she shouted at the customer behind me his total and did not thank him whatsoever. She was so unkind, or perhaps just unhappy. Know that your supervisor and corporate will be made aware of this. If she continues to work at Millbrae they will continue to lose customers. A bakery is a place, where customers should feel happy going to enjoy cake. If you hate your job, don't ruin it for the rest of us. No matter how good the cake is, these girls left a sour taste in my mouth. Go to another location for a better experience. read more

I've been a customer here for years and never had any problem. However, this new staff has really been upsetting on my last few visits. We have a big family, and this location is usually my go-to for birthdays, holidays, celebrations, etc. But after my last visit, I will never come to this location ever again. Rude and so unhelpful, I sent my daughter to pick up a cake 30 minutes before closing (I called before hand) usually they come with the bow but when packaged she noticed that this time, it didn't. So she asked for a bow to put on herself and was told no because it was late notice, they were closing soon but she was welcome to search the store for something she liked to put on the cake. Are you serious? She was willing to wait for her to search the store for a decoration but could not spare a minute grab a bow? Anyway, we rushed over to the San Carlos location and they gave us a bow for the cake with no problem. We ordered buntinis for a baby shower - Not only did we have to wait 30 minutes past the time we were told we could pick them up, they didn't give us the flavors we ordered, the decorations we ordered weren't on all the cakes and when we opened the boxes, one dozen were on their sides with the frosting a mess and we couldn't use them. I have tried to reach the store manager and left a message to get a call-back to no avail. I am torn, the cakes are delicious, the location in San Carlos is great and deserves five stars. This location is not so great. Between the front clerk who was picking food out of her braces and the fact that they are constantly out of product and don't ramp up production. This location is a three simply because of the name. Good cakes, parking could be better. There's an H&R Block office next door and being tax season it's difficult to find parking. Seriously delicious! I tried cinnamon, pecan, and marble. I think the cinnamon was the best........ I don't know how they get these bunts so moist (probably tons of butter and oil), but I'm into it. popped into this store for no particular reason other than to have a little sweet treat. it just so happened that there was a coupon that was sent out for buy one get one free bundtlettes! i'm on their email list but for some reason I didn't get the email. all well i thought, I didn't need two, I was happen with just one. I love the mini bundt cakes but the service is bad. The employees are unprofessional and make you feel like you are bothering them when you order. I am not sure why customer service is not important but the managers and owner should really re-evaluate how the employees are treating the paying customers. The Bundt cakes are delicious! But the customer service and quality is bad! The lady at register, seems to be manager or owner is short and pretty much rude. This is my 2nd time ordering from here. The 1st time I picked out all the different flavors I wanted for my dozen Bundtini's for my 4 kids. And when we cut into them after dinner, they were not the flavors I ordered. And of course my kids & guests were disappointed! I called the next day and spoke with a lady who said oh sorry. And then I sounded upset so she said that she would take my number and have manager call me. No one ever called.
