The cakes are great at any locations however i have given this location a couple of tries before my review. Hoping the service would change. They are not rude but they are not warm and fuzzy. people walk in and there is a pretty long pause before anyone acknowledges you and they are standing right there. Even if you are packing the person ahead of me's items, you can still say hello, be right with you. Then when it's time it's still semi cold. Again, I've come here many many times and each time I've seen different people. very very young folks and regular adults, but they all have the same not too warm demeanor. I'm a big fan of nothing bundt cakes and their bundtinis. First off, not only do they look delicious, but they taste delicious. I've liked every flavor they had. My favorite is the red velvet. It's presented very elegantly and are great to bring to parties or to the office. Everyone always loves them. What a crowdpleaser! People would think you spent some $$$, but the bundtinis are only $20 for a box of a dozen which you can pick as many flavors as you like. So happy they opened up closer to my home! Used to have to drive to San Carlos-this is much closer now-yahoo! In reading some of the other reviews, in fairness, they have only been open for about a week to 10 days-give them a break! I don't think they were ready for a the column so fast and are trying to weather the storm just starting up. Their product is great and Lisa, one of the managers is wonderful with customers. Opening a new franchise is never easy. They'll get the hang of it soon, I'm sure. I'm sure the staff will not be as terse when they can accommodate more customers. So many people there picking up orders for Super Bowl Sunday, I'm sure it was a stressful time for them. Once people realize it's better to call in an order in advance, everyone will be happy. At this point they have no way of judging how many to make because they don't know what their daily traffic might be. I'm sure HQ "guesstimated" for them, but they probably are not "in the area", so how could they have any idea what a daily number would be? So, be patient and give them a try and chance! read more

I remember nothing bundt cakes when they were just in Vegas. My friends and i would try to go after a night out on the strip. We never made it into the store because they were closed on Sundays. So to my disappointment i had no choice but to hop back on my flight back home. My friend ended up sending me a cake from this place and it was one of the best birthday presents ever. You get to chose which cake you want and what frosting. And it can come decorated or you can decorate it yourself. This is a great idea for all the kids in us. Lemon and white chocolate raspberry are two of my favorite flavors. The lemon one has a good zesty kick to it. The white chocolate raspberry one may sound sweet but it wasn't too sweet, maybe because the raspberry played a factor in it. But overall, I'm glad to see this location here near SF. read more

WE went in buy three and get a fourth free with our punch card since we had bought ten. Display case was almost completely empty in the small cakes area except for one bundt cake. When the young lady came out of the back. She said they were out of red velvet and some other one I can't remember. We asked for the four we wanted and my wife handed her the punch card. We got a new card to restart since we were purchasing three. She went to the back area and bagged up our cakes. When we got home there were only the three we were charged for. The free one for the punch card was missing. Obviously since the display case was empty we did not see her bag up the cakes. We were not able to see this upon purchase. We should have checked before we left. Disappointing considering you work up to the free one.. Mistakes happen but it was too far to go back for. Nothing Bundt cakes is the go to place for cakes when you have a friend or relative celebrating a birthday party. They are always consistent in their cakes, which means you can never go wrong with one of their cakes. I've come here a lot through the years and the food is always delicious. The cake is always moist, the icing is always good. They have a lot of different flavors, and the seasonal flavors are also delicious. Because of Covid, they have made some precautions to make it safe.They only allow a certain number of people at a time, I think this time when I went it was only one person in the store at one time. People are pretty respectful of the social distancing guidelines, I don't remember seeing any social distance stickers on the floor though - but they did have a sign with their rules for the Covid restrictions. This place is located on El Camino across from the hospital. They have their own parking lot and parking is free. I love all the little knickknacks inside the store that you can buy as well as all the things you can get for your cake. Never have any issues with this location, they even have online ordering so you can just pick it up which would be pretty fast. My wife ordered a cake for my son's graduation. Unfortunately, I didn't review what she ordered when I picked it up but found out later that they totally screwed up the decorations. It's one thing to be color blind and put a red and white bow instead of a blue and white one, but to not even come close to the other decorations ordered is pretty bad. I'm all about marketing and making your storefront as cool and modern as possible. It reflects on your product. So the store name is a creative play on words, and I wonder if they hired a firm to come up with it. In any case, nicely done! The store itself is super clean and bright. It's filled with little nick nacks that go with the stores theme. There is a display case filled with their bundt cakes, and they usually have a flavor or two to sample. I'm not a big fan of cakes. In fact I prefer to fatten up on ice cream. But since the boss lady wanted to try these things for a party we had to go pick them up. We ordered a dozen bundtinis, a tiered cake, and an individual bundt. These were pretty awesome. The moistest cake I've ever had. I had a taste of the lemon, pecan, carrot, and red velvet. All were on point. The kids that we bought these for were giving their thumbs up as well. If you want to be different from the cupcake craze, then bring these to the office. I was actually looking for food to eat but had go stop and get some to bring home. I liked their seasonal turtle cake, hoping it was there but it wasn't. I love that they give free samples as well. Tried the cinnamon swirl and had to get it! Moist and just enough icing along with it. Loved that when I got there, it wasn't crazy busy. I liked that even though it was an hour away from closing and they still had a lot of choices left. I ended up getting my sister the chocolate chip cake which she enjoyed and I got a cinnamon swirl for myself. Sooo goood. Great and friendly customer service. An associate Leslie it's seems that I was bothering her with my questions 2 of them. She seemed annoyed by me and once I said I'm really sorry to bug u she realized that I noticed how she was treating me and changed it up. She seems to take my order correct but when I picked up cake I specifically told her not navy blue for now more of a royal blue school colors. Came to pick up just to wait again to have them correct I ended spending $80 with nick backs once again staff seems bothered to get it correct. Came in at 1pm on a Saturday during Mother's Day weekend and was surprised to see their fridge practically empty. I guess it makes sense since it's Mother's Day weekend and I assumed a lot of people would come in to buy cakes, but at the same time I would think they would be prepared for the increase in demand that weekend. But more important than the cakes being great is that their customer service was top-notch. I stopped by Nothing Bundt Cakes super spur-of-the-moment, as my friends' daughter turned 8 on Friday and neither my boyfriend nor I were going to be able to make it to her birthday party on Sunday. We managed to get together with my friends and their daughter on Saturday and due to their dinner plans falling through, we came by earlier than planned. On our way to the freeway to go to their house, I decided to pick up a cake for the birthday girl, as we were super close to Nothing Bundt Cakes. As I was driving there, I went onto Yelp to make sure they were open and I realized that they were closing in 3 minutes. I called the store to beg them to stay open for me because I was going to get there in 4 minutes (per my GPS) and they agreed to wait/stay open for me to get there. A lot of businesses would have been like, "too bad!" or not even answered the phone at all that close to closing time, but not this place! Because of their staying open for me, they are my new go-to cake place. For me, customer service is everything. Not only did they stay open to accommodate my coming basically at closing time, the employees were super helpful and answered questions that I didn't even know that I had. I love them bundts! Lol The bundts are a hit at work. Whenever we have a birthday going on at work, these things are always a crowd pleaser. The cakes are moist and delicious and the frosting is not overly sweet. I am a fan. I also came here one day needing a big cake for a party and the ladies that work here are fabulous! They always offer you one (or two) sample of their flavor of the day and are super helpful. This is the second time they did not have my order ready when I came in. I pre ordered 4 days before pickup and when I arrived they said they gave my order away. Who does that?!? I prepaid and had specific flavors I needed because my guests had allergies. So now I run the risk of them running out of flavors I wanted. When I came in the sales person went to the back of the store to check on my order and told me it would be ready in a few mins. No surprise I waited over 10 mins without an update and finally after they had helped all the other customers that came after me is when they asked me again if I've been helped. That's when they really checked and saw that my order was no longer available. They lied and said they called me but there were no messages and no missed calls. So I had to wait again for them to put it together from scratch. I just don't get how they are still in business. Anticipation is an exhilarating feeling especially when it is met with great satisfaction. The Millbrae Nothing Bundt Cakes store was highly anticipated by everyone in the area. I had heard so much about these delectable little delights. So off I went on their opening day to get me my mini bundt cake. There were tons of people on opening day. It felt like a madhouse especially since the store isn't very big. There wasn't much space to maneuver. But I digress. Back to the bundt cake... There were lots of flavors to choose from but I opted for the red velvet. How can you go wrong with red velvet? Unfortunately, when I got it home and ate the mini red velvet bundt cake, it tasted a little off. It almost seemed as if there was too much food coloring or something. I really have no idea but it didn't quite taste right. The cake also seemed a little chewy. Disappointment. However, I am always a proponent of giving people another chance. You never know. Opening day was chaotic and every establishment takes a while to settle in and get it right. I bought another mini bundt cake a week later. This time I chose lemon and I was pleased. It was quite delicious. It even spurred me to try another location of this chain in the East Bay. Interestingly enough, the East Bay location prices were 0.50 cheaper than the Millbrae location. I guess locations make a difference on pricing. I suppose that makes sense....higher rents and all. Overall, I think the cakes here are good and a great treat once in a while. read more

ORDER AHEAD OF TIME (24 hours in advance). They have a limited amount of pre made cakes available. Staff helping was a but short with me which is why I docked stars for customer service. I was told 'I'm asking for a lot in such a short period of time'. I had never been to a nothing bundt cakes before so I had no idea they were limited to what they had on hand. There was another customer who was in the same boat as me as well who had never been there and didn't know to order ahead of time. Love nothing Bundt Cakes BUT..,,I placed an order the morning of the 16th for pick up late afternoon same day. Picked up my order and enjoyed them that night. The morning of the 18tj, I received a message from Mary asking why I didn't pick up my order the 17th. I returned the call, asked to speak with Mary as I was returning her phone call and was placed on hold for about 3 minutes and the gal came back on the line ask what I wanted. I informed her I was returning Mary's call and her response, "Do want to talk to Mary?" Hmmm Mary got on the phone and ask why I didn't pick up my order. Informed her that I placed the order on the morning of the 16th and picked them up around 5pm on the16th. She then told me that she has an online order for the 17th. Again I told her I picked up my order on the 16th. she said that you can't place an order online and pick them up the same day. Told her again I placed the order and picked up the same day. She somewhat argued informing me that is not possible to order online and pick up the same day. Talk to your staff and IT people Mary, because I ordered and picked up the same day. Well I was opposed to it knowing that some fruits and vegetable contains natural tints to where when processed correctly, is safe to consume.
