I really love a delicious NBC! But today was just meh for me. First I went to my local NBC in Long Beach so excited to try the new Churro Dulce de Leche bundlet! But they had none about an hour after opening and said they were still making them and maybe after 2pm they would be available. Bummer! I had my black iced coffee in hand and was ready for the sugar hit! So I decided to take the drive to the Westminster location and enjoy the drive down PCH. That location did in fact have this limited time flavor and I grabbed three other flavors too and hit the road. Back home and digging into my bundlet with gusto I was disappointed to find it had no caramel, like none. Look at the marketing picture in the email that got me out the door to grab this treat of a flavor. Then look at the picture of what I found in my purchase. And no, I hadn't eaten the caramel. You can see I'm at the center and there's just none at all. Sigh. Well, the flavor of the cake and extra icing I purchased was very tasty. Came here to get a cake for my son's birthday dinner. He loves the confetti cake. I sent my mom to get a big one for my son's birthday and a small strawberries and cream one for me. She called me to confirm and ordered the cakes while I was on the phone with her. We got to the restaurant and saw that the cake was NOT confetti it was strawberries and cream!!! So, I've been here 8 times so far and I can't rave about the staff enough. They are so sweet, helpful and go above and beyond! I placed an order and picked the wrong day. When I called, they took the time to see if they could have it ready in an hour for me - lifesavers! As busy as they are they always take the time to make sure you're set and good to go. Parking is a breeze since it's in a large shopping plaza. I saw some low reviews and don't think they deserve that, in my experience. Yes, they're closed on Sunday but that's no biggie. I've bought cakes here a few times for family get togethers and birthdays. This location is on Beach & Heil in HB. It makes sense to order in advance if you want the minis that come in a dozen, or the larger cakes. However, in this case we just wanted three of the small size cakes: Pecan praline, carrot & confetti ($4.49/each). My fave was the pecan praline, although the buttercream frosting is a bit sweet for my palette. The cakes are always moist & fresh. In addition, there are a lot of other flavors inc red velvet. Regarding the ambiance, its take out only. The service has always been friendly and efficient. I thought bundt cakes went out of style until NBC opened up. Stopped by to pick up a dozen assorted Bundtinis and a couple of Bundtlets around 1:30pm today. As soon as I arrived to the store, there was already a short line outside of the store (6ft distancing with masks on). There was a sign stating only 4 customers in the store at a time. We waited no more than 10 minutes. They had Plexi Glass screens at the register counters but the employees were NOT wearing any masks. Although they were very nice, I would've liked to see the staff all wear masks as well especially when there's food involved. Standard Assortment Bundtinis Case (From Top to Bottom on my photo) $20.50 - 5 Stars - White Chocolate Raspberry, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Classic Vanilla and Red Velvet). Always MOIST and so DELICIOUS! 02. Lemon Raspberry Case Bundtlet $4.49 - 5 Stars - Seasonal Flavor and one of my FAVE. Must try if you like Lemony things. 03. Chocolate Chip Case Bundtlet $4.49 - 5 Stars - This was a gift so I asked for a "Happy Birthday" flag. COVID PRECAUTION: They had a sign in front of the store but nothing marked on the sidewalk for customers to know what 6ft looked like in distance. You line up on the right as the left side was for customers leaving. They only allowed 4 customers in at a time but when we were there, customers were just coming in and not really following the "4 customers at a time" rule, there was 8 when we were paying for our order. Probably should enforce this for the safety of the customers and their staffs. Customers were wearing masks but the staff wasn't. I think the staff should also wear their masks, I don't know where those staffs have been or if they are sick. Especially when food is involved, the staffs should wear masks. RECOMMENDATIONS: With this store, CALL AHEAD as the traffic for this store is never consistent. Don't assume what you want in terms of flavor or goods will be there when you arrive. You can place online orders and just pick up. This store DOES NOT have the Sample Platters if you've ordered those from other store before. They are independently owned and the owner at this store doesn't offer them. PARKING - Shared parking lot with the 99 Cents Store, Marshall's, Bev-mo so there are plenty of parking spaces. read more

I've been here a couple of times and the service and quality of the bundt cakes here is definitely worth the extra cost! While you can definitely walk-in and order a cake that is pre-made, I've found that you get a better selection and practically no wait if you pre-order ahead (about 24 hours in advance) - and prepay. My favorite selection to get here is the dozen (12) of Bundtinis - these are cupcake-sized - and individual servings, which is great considering the pandemic we're in right now. The great thing with these is that you can get multiple flavors and let your guests decide which flavor they want - rather than sticking to one or two bundt cake flavors, and hoping that it's someone's favorite flavor or a flavor they will tolerate. The bundtinis come with just the right amount of frosting as well - their frosting is so good! It's not the cheap sugary stuff, but it's made with cream cheese and has just the right amount of richness to it. Favorite flavors are: White Chocolate Raspberry - Hands-down my favorite flavor to get here. Reminds me of the WCR cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. Classic Vanilla - rich vanilla flavor - the frosting really stands out in this one. Chocolate Chocolate Chip - double chocolate chip! Full of chocolate flavor! Marble - bummer that the two recent times I was in this location - this flavor was out. Can't even pre-order it online. These bundt cakes/bundlets/bunditinis are ALWAYS a favorite/hit when I bring them into work or to a gathering. The cake is baked just right, has the right amount of moisture and frosting to it. Each bite is full of flavor and true to its flavor. Customer service has always been great. The most recent time I was in, I was helped by Manaia - who was very accommodating with my request for a smaller box, especially since the last time I picked up a dozen bunditinis, they gave me an obnoxiously gigantic box. Manaia was friendly, cheerful and helpful with my requests. I ended up picking up two Bundlets of the White Chocolate Raspberry - literally felt that it was calling my name since they were the last two in the display... until another worker brought out like a tray full of more WCR bundlets...! Parking is plentiful - I think partly because of the pandemic - but it shares a large parking lot with Rubios, Marshall's, 98 cents store and Bev-Mo to name a few. Only downside is getting here - navigating through Beach Blvd is a nightmare with all the crazy/impatient drivers. There's actually another location closer to work - but farther from home. At least this spot is down the street from home, so I can just take the cake home and save to bring into work the next day. read more

I pre-ordered and Paid online for a graduation cake for my nephew and niece. The cake was decorated adorably and exactly as shown on their website. They packaged it very cute and well as well. When I saw it I was very pleased and couldn't get over how cute it was. When we got there there was a line of a few because I think they were only letting a certain amount of people inside which was great. Because we ordered online we didn't have to wait and they allowed us to go inside because we wanted to pick up two gluten-free cupcakes for my boyfriend who has celiac. For some reason they didn't have any that day and didn't really give an explanation for why. The person who was at the register was a little odd but not rude, she was slow in answering my question and a little off. However, the woman ha doing the line (maybe a manager or supervisor?) was amazingly fast and very nice! She went and got my order right away and apologized for not having any gluten free cupcakes for us. I love love how cute the new store is and love the celebration cakes! I live in Nevada. One year ago and again a few days ago, I placed an on-line order for the Strawberries & Cream Bundt Cake. In both cases, I walked into the store and picked up a beautifully decorated cake. In and out, easy peasy. The Strawberries & Cream is only available from mid-March to mid-May. I ordered it last year for my father-in-law's birthday. There were only eight people so I ordered the small. Everyone loved it so much that even non-sweets eaters wanted seconds. So this year I ordered the large size for 10 guests. Everyone loved it. It is very rich; so rich that my husband and I decided to share. It is rich and it is good. Their pumpkin spice was a nice seasonal flavor and it wasn't that sweet, which is a plus. It balanced nicely with the frosting. I liked that the minis are packaged cutely in a container.
