I have been here dozens of times. Very rude gentlemen making smoothies today. When I inquired if my last of 4 smoothies would be made soon (many smoothies for other customers made before my last one) he told me he was working on it. He then proceeded to triple the order because of other customers that also ordered the same drink. Totally fine, except he stopped to chat with customers and fellow employees while making it. I finally get the last smoothie (the rest of my group are halfway done with ours) and he apologizes for the wait in an unapologetic way. I don't respond, just nod because I am annoyed. He then proceeds to yell, " Have a nice day" across the shop as I'm leaving. I turn back and he is glaring at me. So unprofessional. On our way home from the beach we decided to take the small detour to this coffee place but it wasn't good. It is very small, and due to Covid there is a line outside because there is no indoor seating. There are sacks of beans everywhere and they do have an amazing assortment of flavored (various) beans to purchase. They have a good variety of sweets which all looked good. Unfortunately, the drinks we had were hideous. The lattes we had were so burnt and hot and there was very little texturing on the milk. The flavor was awful and undrinkable. We had to throw them away it was that bad. I'm not sure if they were just overwhelmed or what, but a coffee place needs to be judged on the coffee and this was just bad. read more

This is a cute little coffee shop in Lewes. The coffee is probably a bit on the pricey side, especially for what you get. In my opinion the best part is the baked goods, but maybe I just have a sweet tooth! The line here can get long certain times of year, but it's nice to grab a coffee and sip it while you walk along the canal. read more

DONT GO TO THIS PLACE! Upon entering the establishment, the not-so-lovely workers yelled at us to close the door as we were walking in. We proceeded to ordering our coffees and smoothies, which turned out horrible. The coffee was burnt and literally undrinkable. The workers were miserable and seemed like they hated life and didn't care at all about those coming in and ordering coffee/food. The bathroom was dirty, hot, shoebox. Don't buy their beans which are old/stale. Beware the large stock of beans on display. They obviously don't sell enough to keep fresh beans on the shelf. I brewed within an hour of purchase. No aroma when I opened the bag and brewed coffee was foul. Undrinkable. This was not some unknown exotic flavor that turns out I simply didn't like. This was regular, old French Roast. The place has an amazing coffee aroma as soon as you walk in. Unfortunately, the employees were 19 or 20 year olds who were not helpful and didnt know the difference between cold brew and iced coffee. I bought a cold brew and received an iced coffee. On top of that, they added a small gratuity for using a credit card. The iced coffee was supposed to have hints of chocolate, but it was very plain and quite terrible. I love this little spot to get fresh coffee. It seemed to be the place to go with people coming and going the entire time we were there. I only gave it 4 stars because of the flies. They were so many of them that they were on me, my food and wherever we were sitting which makes is very uncomfortable and not relaxing when trying to eat breakfast. I was up next in line and was ignored. The cashier started emptying the tip jar of coins, took out cash, and then putting it back in. We notice that was weird and something was definitely off so we asked "is this where we order?" as an innuendo to take our order. She ignored us and continued to pretend to be preoccupied with the tip jar. We asked again and she finally responded with a very curt "Yes" without looking at us. I walked in just because I have a habit of walking into every cafe. I was not disappointed. There was a piece of crumb cake that called my name and I responded by freeing it from it glass prison. It greeted me with a sugary smile. It was absolutely crumby and I loved it. I also picked up a cup of their iced coffee that had tones of chocolate and wine (WOW!!!). This place needs to up it's game significantly. No surprise that the Yelp profile is "unclaimed" as that seems to be the theme of the shop. They survive because they have no competition and lots of first-time (and last-time) customers. It's always messy, with layers of vendor-supplied menus attached to the wall or just propped up, promoting some off-theme product -- jack-of-all-treats, master of none. Staff seems untrained and the configuration means long lines if there are more than four people looking for service. They need to focus on making and selling good coffee and baked goods. After reading reviews we chose Notting Hill for our caffeine hit. Ordered extra hot lattes with high expectations. What we got was bitter tasting, lukewarm undrinkable brews. Came in to grab coffee. Was impressed they d an organic option as well as a Swiss process decaf. Coffee was really good. Was disappointed they didn't have almond or coconut milk. You'll get yelled at by the whole 17 yr old staff of women if you hold the door open to long. You can "please" and "thank you" all you want, but its like saying it to a brick wall. My friend and I came here on New Year's morning and we were so delighted to find this place. My lavender latte was a dream! My friend bought a few bags of coffee and we both bought some coffee/latte to go. The Ooey Gooey truly is food-gasmic. The good: coffee is good. Coffee bean selection is great. Blueberry cream cheese croissant was delicious. They have a wide selection of coffee beans in bags with labels but no prices clearly marked and you dont know if the bags are whole bean or ground coffee without asking to learn its whole bean. The menus are on the front wall with random posters' not a cohesive menu's there is a sandwich menu behind the cash register on the side wall which cannot be viewed by people in line. There is a too small and too short chalkboard listing drinks down at knee level so the people in front of you in line block the menu with their bodies. so not only is the menu disorganized in multiple locations but you cannot see the disorganozed mess until it is time to order. So what happens? The line backs up because no one can decide on their order in advance. In a town of tourosts' that means you will always have indecisive people or overly analytical people struggling to firm up a decision. I would think posting another small typed menu outside for the socially distanced peoppe waiting in line and another menu at eye level in the middle of the shelving full of coffee beans in bags would be a smart move. The store is tiny, the AC is insufficient, and the foot traffic flow is not set up well. Would I go back? Really not sure I would. The lack of efficient menu before reaching the front of the line was super irritating to me. Meanwhile half the space is taken up with coffee bags. That whole wall could be menu and more efficient use of floor space and the coffee bags should be stored elsewhere' like in the back perhaps. If there is a back. Idk. It was a mess. read more

Sweet breakfast shop in Lewes with coffee and tea galore! The walls are filled with all kinds of flavored coffee beans. The back has every tea imaginable and it's self serve. We come here for the ooey gooey pastry! To me, it's like the best sticky bun/stick I've had! This shops quotes it right when they say it's not quite a twist, nor a biscuit, nor a sticky bun; it's an ooey gooey. This twist is so big that it taste two overlapping paper plates to hold it! This is a little coffee shop in a quaint little downtown doing big things. It smells delightful, like a Parisian cafe as soon as you walk in. They had what seemed like - if it isn't - over 100 different coffee selections that you can purchase from. They are whole beans but they will grind the beans if you do not have a grinder at home. I am more of a tea drinker and they had a pretty good selection of teas. I wish they had as many as the coffee but coffee is the focus. I purchased the earl grey, white tea and vanilla chai which I had a chance to sample through a chai latte, very good. It's a sweet place to check out on a causal day and enjoy the little downtown of Lewes. read more

Wow, this is a coffee mecca. They had many types to choose from. I really enjoyed their house blend, the Seattle and a few other fresh-brewed options. I was so in love I took a couple of pounds home with me to enjoy. The coffee I made at home was just as good if not better than what I had tasted in the store. We took home with us a few pastries as well. We had just eaten nearby and had heard about how good they are but were too full to try and muscle them down right then so we got 3 to go. When we had them later that night and the next morning for breakfast we wish we had bought more of them. All the pastries we had we flaky, tender and sweet, but from what I can tell the best ones sell out early so don't wait too long before stopping by if you want something in particular. They sell out fast! Hoping my sister in law moves near here so I can have an excuse to drive from Philadelphia to get coffee. It is that good. read more

So, make sure you know to look for the place it isn't when you go there. Very nice local place. A good variety of teas and coffees. The space is a little small but it comes across more as cozy than confined. And it seems to have a warm ambience. Maybe a little hipster. The crowd isn't though. Then, the second drink in the order, a frozen honeydew drink, the girl took the order, then went in the back to make it, or so I thought... She then returned 10 minutes later to say, "oh, my bad, I forgot." And proceeded to laugh at her deficient customer service... I cannot stress how disorganized this place is. I cannot stress how their coffee is not quality, and they're selling unmarked coffee (no bag date listed, no expiration date listed) which can be potentially hazardous. Went there today to try this place out. Unfortunately, the three women at the front were all extremely rude. Also, expect high prices for their food. Sticky buns were 4 dollars each (very small)! Same with sandwhich and wrap. Both cost close to 17 bucks and barely filled us up. Small store - not good if you are claustrophobic; lucky to find a seat to sit and eat or enjoy your coffee. We stopped in for a coffee to-go but after seeing the display of in-store baked pastries I just had to order something from there as an extension of breakfast. The sales clerk recommended 'anything lemon' and I opted for a lemon scone. If you like lemon flavored sweets, do yourself a favor and indulge..it was the best, melt in your mouth scone I have ever had! Best place to get a small baked snack or a nice drink. They have a variety of coffee beans that they ground up for you after you pay for the bag. The owner is always super nice and welcoming. The staff is accommodating and positive. The place is small, but there is a certain charm to it. read more
