Food is good and reasonably priced. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but it's worth the elevator trip down.

Chef Anthony DiGregorio is doing something really special here. From the moment you walk in, the whole place just feels inviting. The open kitchen adds a fun buzz, and the staff couldn't be nicer--they really make you feel taken care of without it ever feeling over the top. And the food... wow. The charcuterie board has this melt-in-your-mouth pâté and amazing cheeses. The prawns are so good you'll catch yourself reaching for "just one more" every time. The tuna tartare is unbelievably fresh--one bite and you're hooked. The burrata with heirloom tomatoes is bright and flavorful, and the duck special? Let's just say you won't want it to end. Then dessert shows up--a cherry blossom cake that's light, beautiful, and just screams spring. Everything comes out on gorgeous Pordamsa plates, and honestly, each dish looks like it belongs in a photo gallery. No matter what you order, you really can't go wrong. Your taste buds will thank you. And bonus--it's just a short Metro ride from DC, so getting there is easy. I've also heard the hotel has great packages, and if you stay for breakfast, the deliciousness keeps going! Go. You'll be glad you did

The food was absolutely outstanding--beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and memorable. The drinks were just as impressive. Creative, perfectly balanced, and expertly made, they elevated the entire experience and paired wonderfully with the meal. What truly tied everything together was the service. Attentive, friendly, and professional without ever feeling intrusive. The staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of from start to finish. Whether you're going for a special night out or simply want an excellent meal with fantastic cocktails, The Simon is a must-visit. We can't wait to come back.

Wife and I decided to eat here on Valentine's Day with our 3 year old son. Not only was it…read moreValentine's Day, it was Saturday night. So we expected it to be a little bit busy. Well, it was not busy at all but deserved to be. Granted, it didn't have a "Valentine's Day"-dinner atmosphere, but still, it was a regular Saturday night with sports on TV. For the most part, the only patrons were around the bar. We were almost scared away by the sparse crowd, but we stayed and were glad we did. Food was good/great (shrimp quesadilla, burrito bowl, jambalaya, carrot cake) and delivered quickly and our waitress/hostess was attentive and thoughtful. She didn't rush us and stopped by a good number of times without being overbearing. She also seemed genuinely happy to be able to serve us. Prices are reasonable and maybe even a bit less than average. I believe only one other family sat in the dining area after we did. A few people came and got takeout while we were there. Would recommend if you're looking for a place that has a nice variety of food and maybe a little bit hidden away that some people might not know about (though I read in other reviews this place has been around a couple decades). We will be going back.

Burger Review: The Fat Elvis Is King! I came here purely for…read morea gathering of friends not planning to eat but after peeking at their menu and seeing their burger options I felt the need to try them out. Lots of options but the one that really stood out to me was one called "Fat Elvis", which comes stacked with American and cheddar cheese, spicy candied bacon, banana compote, and peanut butter. Yes, you read that right--peanut butter. This ain't my first rodeo trying peanut on a burger so trust me when I say somehow, it totally works. The sweet-and-savory combo is bold, a little outrageous, and absolutely delicious. The banana compote adds a warm, caramelized depth, the bacon brings a little heat and crunch, and the peanut butter ties it all together in the richest, most unexpected way. The patties themselves were juicy and cooked just right, and the bun held everything together without getting soggy. Bonus points for the generous portion--it's a two-hander for sure. I opted for a side salad instead of fries (balance, right?) and even that was fresh and full of color, topped with shredded cheese, red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and crunchy croutons. The ranch dressing was a little thin and not quite as creamy as I'm used to but was good. Check out my photos if you want a visual warning of what you're getting into. Spoiler: it's a glorious mess, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. If you're into Elvis, wild flavor combos, or just love a burger that dares to be different, you need to try this. Side note: ended up ordering a bunch more food to go that I didn't get pictures of, wife got a CYO burger she devoured, I ordered some of their tacos which while a little pricey, the portion size and flavor of the quesabirria ones made up for it, even tried out some of their wings with the smoked lemon pepper dry rub and we're pretty solid even warmed up the next day. Lots of food options and may end up going back sometime to try some more things out. Service was great as well, place was jam packed but they had plenty of staff to stay attentive and keep things moving.

Plenty of parking outside the front. The service is great…read more The food is bar food ( fries, wings, burgers). Great music inside. A super chill bar to hang out with friends and have a great time. Never any issues. Never seen a fight. And staff and security guards are super helpful.
