The drinks were quite sweet however the ideas of the different pre mix drinks was great. Especially for those like me who sometimes do not want to pick. The dragonfruit drink can be less sweet. The popping boba on the bottom was quite nice. Service was slow. Wait for 4 drinks were 15mins+ One girl was taking the orders. While the other was making the drinks. I usually like my boba on the chewier side and the boba at num num was a little too firm. I got the Hokkaido milk tea, there was not enough flavor for me. I've decided to come here to try it out again. We got the cherry sakura, white chocolate drink. It was super good! Service was great for only one person operating. We went right as soon as they opened. The ambiance was nice and they have really great, fun games to play. The only thing that didn't work was just the little dart game they have. The menu is quite extensive so I asked the very friendly, professional and proficient staff person, Dulce, what her favorite Boba drink was. She named two different ones, Mango Sweet Rice and Wake up, which were my two choices just looking at the pictures. To note, their specialty bobas are my favorite, the Tiger Milk is one of my absolute favorites! Today, I opted for the honeydew fruit tea with 25% sweetness (you can opt for 25, 50, and 75% sweetness levels) with boba. It was delicious, and a good original for me! The shop is so cute with games and a hang out spot for you and your friends. This includes board games, puzzles, and more! After years of meaning to try this place, I finally made and Holy smokes was it delicious. There is a variety of options for drinks, but i just got a basic thai tea with boba. I got the smaller size and I wish I would of gotten a large! It was so good. The consistency of the boba was perfect, it was perfectly sweet and jusy delicious. Inside has a small amount of seating and lawn sized games to play so it's perfect for just hanging out or waiting, but not ideal if you needed to do computer work or wanted a quiet space. The lady helping us was so so sweet, the whole place was a vibe! read more

Delicious!! Kevalin and Michael T teamed up to give back to the community during the Davis Fire and my job was a lucky recipient. Not only did this bring tears to my eyes, it just solidified what Reno is all about! Kevalin was SO SWEET when I met her and the shop is adorable. Everyone LOVED their boba, which was a variety and all the drinks got great feedback, with people agreeing Num Num has gained some customers (they never knew it existed!) I really liked this business when they first started, but it seems the quality is a hit or miss. Depends on whi makes it. The last few times we went, the Taro had a strong powder texture. Didn't fully dissolve, or they put too much taro powder and couldn't dissolve. Their milk tea is typically good. I should have gotten that. But I'm a sucker for Taro. Still check them out. The staff is always very welcoming, and the dri ks come out quickly. They do have small rushes here and there. read more

Stopped in here again today because my kid likes the waffles. They did away with the old waffles bears but he still likes the waffle circles. They have little toys/ games that my kid likes to play with while he's waiting for his food. I tried a red guava fruit tea. It was gross. It had a medicinal taste to it like cough syrup. It was like after you get done brushing your teeth and drinking orange juice. It had that taste effect. Yah I brushed my teeth but that was a couple hours ago so it couldn't be because I just brushed my teeth. I had a few sips and I couldn't drink anymore. Gross. I don't recommend the red guava tea. I should've gotten the small size. I've had no other problems with the other flavors though. Next time I'll try something else other than the red guava. They should take that off the menu. read more

You don't need to pay extra for non-dairy alternatives as the milk base is already dairy free! My go-to is the strawberry milk tea or matcha milk tea, tapioca boba in both. Absolutely LOVE getting boba at this place. I usually order all my drinks with 25% sweetness, because 50% sweetness and higher is WAY too sweet for me. Lot so of options on the menu. Special smoothie flavors are only one size (large). Drinks can get pricey but they are delish. This last visit, the drink had hurt my stomach(not sure why) but otherwise it tasted fine! One of our drinks wasn't blended even though we asked for blended, but they were quick to fix it and give us our correct drink. The Num Num Egg Waffle was such a great treat! I opted for mine topped with strawberries, Nutella, and soft serve (non dairy) taro ice cream. This was a great combo! The waffle itself was crisp on the outside and pillowy soft inside. This is definitely a place I'd come to again to satisfy my sweet tooth. There are so many milk teas and boba tea options. I live pretty close to the Num Num Boba in NW Reno and it's amazing...so I wasn't in any particular hurry to head down to the new one. I was missing out!!! It's not quite as cute and there's not as much seating (I think? Maybe it's just a little smaller) but they have soft serve! Non-dairy soft serve!! I recently learned I am lactose intolerant and am so excited for this tasty treat. In part because they have the BEST flavors - especially Thai tea, the best possible flavor and my all time favorite! They also have Thai coffee, mango, pineapple, vanilla...and more. It's so good and the perfect summer treat. Just don't go on a Monday for soft serve, they don't have it on Mondays. Their other exciting option is TEDDY BEAR WAFFLES! Cutest food ever (and extremely delicious). I had the delicious bubble waffles at the NW location but they are not nearly this adorable :-) Super delicious boba drinks and toppings, great service, big Connect 4 game, and if you're like me- it's extremely awesome that it is two doors down from Amazing Nails, so I can combine a pedicure with the tastiest treats. Service was rude and short. She obviously was irritated we came in from the very beginning and all through our order. We were hesitant to drink our drinks because we were worried she might have done something to them. We decided not to stay because we did not feel welcomed and plus the place had those glade plug ins at every outlet and had a very strong aroma that was giving us a headache. Had to check it out a new boba place. I've had this craving for boba's, since traveling back and forth to Elk Grove.. Nice location and easy access.. A few tables on the outside with one being used. Walked in as we were the only customers. Ordered the Okinawa and the pineapple milk tea.. Okinawa was decent and the pineapple was a tad too sweet. Cute cups and prices were decent. I've never been the first customer anywhere until now! I saw Num Num was opening a South Reno store and boba has become a guilty pleasure in our house. So when this COVID world dealt us a crap hand (again) and we needed a pick me up the day they were opening, I was there waiting for the doors to open! I love the new space! It's bright, cheery, inviting and open. You can't miss it in the Winner's Crossing center because they have a bright sign right outside. Inside they have acute little seating area and a kick ass mural from local artist Gold World. Perfect place to snap a shot of your drink for Yelp and the gram! I'm a boring boba customer. I stick to the basics. This time I tried the Tiger at 25% sweetness and it was perfect. Normally I get the Okinawa or Hokkaido anyway, and this is super similar with a little more brown sugar flavor. Their sweet employee Maia made a custom creation for my little guy, who was sick at home, with chocolate milk tea, strawberry popping boba and Oreo crumbles! He loved it. My wife's tea didn't make it home. I had all three in a drink carrier in the backseat of my truck and they popped out! I stopped on the side of the road to put them back in so they didn't roll around and break, and when I opened my door that one rolled out. :( I sent them a message on IG right away and they apologized, thanked me, and invited me back for a replacement. Turns out they had some new cups that didn't fit quite right and that's why it jumped out and I helped them learn this before it became a problem! Anyway, Num Num is in South Reno now! We dropped by the Dragon Lights Festival at the Wilbur D. May Arboretum & Botanical garden and Num Num Boba was one of the vendors a the Lantern Food Court. We tried their Thai Milk Tea Boba and it was great; not too sweet but still very refreshing, plus the tapioca pearls was perfectly chewy but not tough nor bland. I was at a coffee shop, Roost, next to Mix Bakeshop a few days ago and came across a swarm of high school students. They seemed so lively, which made me ask where they hung out for fun these days. One group immediately pointed me in the direction of Num Num Boba. Num Num Boba has another location off Mae Anne, but I visited the South Virginia location. After walking in, I understood why they had suggested it. It definitely has everything that a popular boba shop in a big city has-a friendly, fun, and welcoming atmosphere, friendly employees, Asian snacks, fun menu items like teddy bear waffles with strawberry and chocolate toppings, cute merchandise, hip decor, wall art, fun drink concoctions, and a fun game (jumbo connect four and tic tac toe) area to hang out. I noticed their seasonal specials right away -pumpkin spice caramel and apple pie milkshake and ordered the pumpkin one right away. I am a sucker for seasonal items and I'm very thankful to all local businesses that go out of their way to make them for customer's enjoyment. My daughter asked for a suggestion from Samantha and she went straight to the unicorn milkshake, made with a cotton candy base and filled with fruit jellies, popping boba, and topped with whipped cream and magical sprinkles. I immediately asked about it's sweetness factor and she told me that it's pretty sweet. So I went ahead and asked for the next increment down of sweetness and ended up getting 75% sugar. The drink was actually perfect and was as magical as it sounded. I was right there with my daughter, jumping up and down with excitement. It only came in large so I asked for a split cup for her and my son. The pumpkin drink had great coffee flavor and was presented in such a fun way, with different toppings that made the drink fun. I always appreciate presentation, especially when it comes to drinks that have endless possibilities. The pumpkin flavor was subtle and for some people, this may be perfect and for others, it might not be enough. That's why with every drink, I suggest for people to try the standard version of their favorites, then tweak them from there to their taste. The workers are always ready to help with suggestions and willing to get your drink just the way you want it. We couldn't pass the opportunity of ordering their waffle bears. They were freshly made and tasted like a thick pancake with a nice and warm bite. I'm so happy that they're good because at another boba shop in town, their waffle was not edible. Boba shops in the bay area are known for their delicious waffles and this spot did not do them justice. With your waffle bears, you can choose from standard toppings, strawberries, chocolate, whipped cream, s'mores ingredients and Oreos. Although I wasn't a fan of the boba itself (it was lacking in flavor and I wasn't into it's texture), I still would come back because of the uniqueness and fun factor of their drink recipes. Samantha and Pop were super kind and Samantha spent so much time talking to me and my chatty 7 year old. When I talked to the lady who made this, she said this is their recipe, if we ordered no ice drink, it'll be more water in it. Never heard a recipe that has 20% drink and 80% ice/water.
