It's really hard to find a Korean food spot in Union County. I discovered this spot and have been coming here ever since. It's not a fusion Korean spot, it's authentic Korean food. The setting is like a fast food spot, but the actual food is restaurant quality. The owners are very nice. This is kinda ridiculous. I don't know if they're running on Korean time (meaning 30 or so mins late) or what, but if the hours state opens at 11 AM, they should have been getting ready inside at least 15 mins before open. Yet, I stand outside at 11:10 AM, 10 minutes after its supposedly open and they're not open. How do they run their business? I'm in a rush to get to places and get orders in for some people, and if you're not going to be open when you say your hours are, why not just change the hours of operation? read more

A really good place to eat some simple korean food. The flavors were authentic and I really liked the mom and pop feel of the place. I got the kimbop and my sister got the cup-bop. Both really delicious! We will definitely be returning here soon! read more

Intriguing at first sight, but pretty much a basic deli. Which is fine if that's what you want. There is Korean food here but it's the watered down Anglo version. My kimchi burrito was satisfying enough but lacked the heat the chef said it would have. Could have been more meaty for sure. I won't partake today but there are a bunch of bubble tea options. Never knew there was a Korean BBQ spot in Westfield, we just happened to pass by and notice it. Glad we gave it a try, the food was really really good! Very odd. They would not accept the Yelp deal I had prepaid. They were annoyed that I posted their menu. And they don't like Yelp.

They're ok for a fast food korean but I had better. I find their food a little salty to my taste and I get really thirsty afterwards. I wonder if they taste what they're serving? Decent price for the size. Friendly korean owners who cook the food. Love the kimchi though! read more

I rarely leave a review like this, but this place really needs work. We waited over an hour for our food, and when it arrived it was cold. The food itself was bland and pre-packaged. If I wanted frozen dumplings, I could have gone to H-Mart and gotten the same exact bag for a tenth of the price. My advice to management would be to stop buying pre-made goods and take the time to make everything from scratch. This place has everything you could ever want, great food good prices and a great location, there is no ambiance or atmosphere to speak of but this place does not aim to do either. I stopped by this spot and tried the stir fry squid. I wasn't expecting much from the looks of the place, but the food was fantastic. My wife had the chicken and she also thought it was very good. Never eaten anything here, but just wanted to say that the bubble tea here is pretty bomb and a great value :) Love Taro, Coconut, and Mango. Tastes like a slushy; the tapioca pearls are soft on the outside and chewy inside. Seems like a mom-and-pop shop (read: interior is almost like a take-out restaurant), and the couple behind the counter were really nice, so I'll round up a star. Definitely order the bibimbap in the stone bowl - it'll cost you a little more, but it'll be worth it. The rice is the perfect texture, and doesn't stick to the side of the bowl like bibimbap at most other places. Add a ton of chili sauce, and it's perfect! The spicy pork bulgogi and regular bulgogi were good - nothing too fantastic - and the seafood pancake wasn't as crisp as I would like, but overall, pretty good. This has been our "go to" place for authentic Korean food outside of NYC. It is family owned & they are the nicest people. We usually eat in but have also gotten takeout. I stopped in to NY Korean BBQ for lunch yesterday since it had been awhile. It is a quick service restaurant - order at the register and the food is brought to your table. It appears to be a husband and wife team. I had been in the mood for Kalbi (Korean short ribs) but changed my mind and ordered the Kimchi Jigae with beef when I saw it offered on the menu. My dish was tangy, spicy and filled with the veggies that I was looking for. Served with rice on the side. The prices are reasonable and the portions are fine for lunch. However, the one thing that I wish would change is that there are no banchan (Korean veggie side dishes) served when ordering a Korean meal. Looking forward to going back again. Daughter and i came here for lunch after an appointment with the ophthalmologist. We had the Cup Bop and the Scallion Pancake. Daughter liked the Cup Bop and thought it wasn't bad. I thought the Scallion Pancake was delicious. She also had the Honeydew Bubble Tea and I had the Lychee without the bubble. She didn't care for her bubble tea and ended up having my lychee. This restaurant is conveniently located 1 store door from the Westfield Rialto movie theater. You could have dinner and a movie! The owner John and his family are very friendly and aim to please. The bibimbap and beef bulgogi are my favorites. My husband and son love the kimchi burrito, cup bop and kim bop. The price, quantity, and quality of the food were all too far apart. Price was too high. Quantity was too little. Quality was sub-par. They are basically the old windmill but changed the menu. I was thrilled to come to my hometown one weekend and find that Korean food now exists in the Cranford/Westfield scene. Having lived in Boston and Philly I've had some pretty good, cheap Korean food. The Korean food here was pretty mediocre - I had the Kimchi Jigae and it was weak with very little kimchi in it. My dad had the Kimchi burrito and felt the same - not enough kimchi.
