Horrible service from the top down. Business Manager Mark Lof should not be in his current position. He is clearly not adequate to handle his business. He lacks professionalism and common courtesy. Customer Service is not a key trait of his and offered no help. The sales manager lacks leadership and needs a whole lot of training. I bought my used 2013 Honda from these guys Dec '16... I needed a car within a two weeks of a wreck and I knew what I wanted and it just so happened Nyle Maxwell GMC had it at a good price. Along with the car I bought the extended warranty. After we left that night I had second thoughts about the warranty, was it a waste of money? This past Tuesday I called to ask what kind of warranty I did it fact buy because my car was making a funny noise. Amy was very helpful and filling me in on what I had and what steps I should take to make sure if any work needed to be done to my car it could go through the warranty company. Amy informed me that if I brought the car in it could get looked at in a very timely manner. Wednesday evening my car was dropped off and Thursday morning I got a call with what was wrong with my car and the warranty would take care of it AND my car would be ready that same day. Picked up my car drove it home and it drives beautifully! Everyone I came into contact with either over the phone or in person was pleasant and helpful. Took the same vehicle back for service for a re-occurring issue. Again the same part has failed only this time the vehicle is out of warranty. This is third instance that this part had failed. The service department just expects you to bend over and pay for the repair. They have no desire to be their costumer's advocate when dealing with repeated repairs. I will never buy another vehicle from them nor will I recommend them to anyone. The service manager Rick Wheeler is incredibly rude and condescending as well. I find this ironic and kinda sad at the same time since the 1st new vehicle I ever purchased was from Nyle Maxwell when he owned the dealership in Cameron. I dealt directly with Nyle at time and I remember he had found the car I wanted in New Orleans and we agreed on a price except I didn't want the car driven back to Cameron so he agreed to trailer it back. So, a year into the purchase and I still love my GMC Terrain. However, I can't say the same about the Nyle Maxwell dealership. One would be doing good to stay clear from their service center. I made an appointment for service which was confirmed via email. I arrived and sat waiting for 45 minutes with my car untouched. Why make an appointment if it won't be honored? I left. They didn't even care that I left. Then, I called and they said to come back in and they wouldn't charge me. I live more than 30 minutes away. I went elsewhere. I wrote an email of complaint that was ignored. So I wrote to the Service Manager and to Nyle Maxwell himself. His assistant had someone get in touch with me and promised they would do what it took to keep my business. So I wrote back and the email went ignored AGAIN for another 5 days. Wrote in again and they said oh, I thought the other guy was taking care of this for you and the other guy thought I was taking care of it. Pass the buck mentality. I won't be going back to Nyle Maxwell. They do not live up to their promise as far as customer service goes. When I bought the car, they promised that the sale was just the beginning of the relationship. I guess that is all well and good unless you actually expect customer service. Then, they can't be bothered. Sure, after I sent my 3rd complaint email, they called. But the damage has been done and I'll be too happy to take my business elsewhere. What a shame. read more

Started my car shopping experience at a local competitor. Was not pleased with the combative, finger pointing and down right rude approach to doing business. After a few referrals, I made my way over to visit Nyle Maxwell GMC. Hands down the best car buying experience I have ever had. I had previously exchanged a few emails with them for vehicle of interest... once I was ready (no pressure), a 10 minute phone call, a drive to the dealership, in and out in less than 90 minutes with a brand new truck. Most of the time in the dealership was beyond cars - they gave me a tour of the facilities, told some stories, cracked some jokes and enjoyed the company. I bought a brand new 2015 Yukon Denali XL and now have to file a lemon law complaint. Tried to deal with John Gammon (general manager) and GM (Ron Novak) to resolve this problem, their response.....go ahead with the lemon complaint. rEALLY! That's there idea of customer service after this vehicle was in the shop numerous times (one time for about a month) and the engine having been worked on and they didn't tell me that (mind you...NEW vehicle). Now when a company sells you a 70K + vehicle that is Huge profit for them and has a history of admitting criminal conduct and subsequent pleading of guilt (they finally admitted it) of lying to their customers about a defect that has killed over a hundred people just a few months back, you'd think they would really work hard to build customer relations and their reputation. Now I have no choice but to go through the lemon law process and spend more of my time and money combating a billion dollar corporation to do what they should do when their product fails to be of any quality. No one pays this kind of money and profit to be treated like this. Mr Gammon actually wrote of his concerns of reselling this vehicle with so many issues to another customer......Mr. Gammon you just sold a brand new junker to this customer! It's a 70K plus piece of junk that you want me to take the hit on! Sure you made your money but what about your customer? I get it, see if we can continue to make this as difficult and a long enough process to frustrate the person until they drop the case? Ladies and gentleman, corporate USA has studied with actuarians the amount of us that will just drop a winnable case if they make it as long and laborous process as they can because the general public can't just keep taking time off work and miss their childrens soccer game to attend endless meetings and hearings. Wake up people, that is why they have made arbitration clauses (per a recent Wall Street Journal report) a huge priority in corporate america....they figured out a way to get out of class action lawsuits via arbitration clauses that you really have no choice but to sign. Slimy aren't they. I got to tell you the game of "it's out of my hands because the manager says no" in the back office and you never get to even meet this "manager" is getting outdated and old. They are the WORST after sales people to deal with if it hurts their bottom line and they have not learned a thing about their past misdeeds and misrepresentations (ie lies to the public). BTW the problem with this vehicle is electrical and it automatically shuts off while on among numerous other electrical issues..... sound familiar GM and Nyle Maxwell?? I have a family of 6 Nyle Maxwell and GM, my family better not be a statistic. It was apparent that customer service is not their focus when I dealt with the used car sales people today. They had posted a vehicle on auto trader so I decided to call the contact person. I asked for some pictures of the vehicle he said he would send them over the vehicle needed to be detailed. Then he told me the vehicle had too many issues and they were going to wholesale it (had mechanical and interior problems.) Why advertise a vehicle for sale then not sell it is beyond me. He asked me if this was a cash sale I said yes (so I guess he was willing to sell me the vehicle after all I'll bite). He asked me how much I was willing to spend I told him it was 2000 less than asking I had more to spend but it was a starting point. He stated that wouldn't have bought it and hung up on me. Stopped on the dealership after speaking with someone that said they could help me even after exsplaning the situation that I was in. I knew I would be upside down on my current car would have no money down and credit is way less than perfect. Still I was assured a deal could be made. So i stopped in. Asked for the person that I was told to ask for. First bad taste. He came up up and said hey I'm busy so I'm gonna pass you over to this guy. Ok I get it in the middle of a sale no big deal. So talked to this guy told him what i was looking for told him what I was willing to pay a month. And the situation I was in .Looked at a cpl trucks found one that I liked so we went in side. Took a seat in his office he walked out and came back in about 2 min later and said the only way I could buy a used truck was to have 4-5 grand down and I would have to pick a cheaper truck. Granted I knew it was going to be hard but I really don't feel like he really tried to help me. I purchased a Used Acadia at another dealership with rare circumstances. It started having what I felt to be a lot of repairs, came to you. Scott Murray took care of me each and every time with friendly & helpful assistance. I then purchased a new Acadia with your dealership and have continued to ask for Scott each time for servicing. He always responds quickly and takes care of my questions and needs without any hesitation. This last oil change visit I called ahead to ask how long the wait, Scott was not available to answer so I just came in, another rep came to greet me and told me it was 1.5 hr wait, so I left because I had an appt by then. Before I got to the street, Scott saw I called and returned my call and said come back and I was in/out within 35 minutes! Kudos for taking care of my needs ONCE AGAIN! Good Lord! Customer Service from the service department was a complete disaster. I needed a new key programmed and brought my own key. Now how long does it really take to program a key? My appointment was at 1pm. By 1:30 I check the status of the work and they couldn't give an answer until someone finally got up to check. Then I see the technicians fighting over not knowing where the original key was and where my vehicle was located. They're angry with each other and me, the customer gets to see all this, all the while, my key isn't getting programmed. 2pm rolls around and the work still isn't done. One guy tries to be helpful but runs into more shop conflict. 10 minutes later the work is complete, but the non-caring clerk doesn't know where it is and wouldn't get up to look. Then tell me.to go look for myself in the center console, because that's where they always leave it. I then ask where is my vehicle and again little to no response from the clerk. They finally walk with me to look for my vehicle and find it out front, click the button on the new keyfob and then laugh, says nothing else, hands me the key and walks off. Guess my dad won't be going to them to trade in his Grand Cherokee like he was talking about doing. read more

I needed to bring my Sierra Denali pickup in for a service issue with my drivers seat. My service adviser Mindy was very professional and knowledgeable about my problem. She ordered the parts ahead of time in case they were not able to resolve the issue without completely replacing my seat. That was great because GMC did indeed have to replace my seat, so time was saved waiting for my vehicle. When I brought my truck in, Mindy said she should be able to have it resolved later that day. She notified me in the afternoon that it would take longer than one day to replace the seat and offered to loan me a car to pick up my daughter from school that day and until my repair was completed. She did this without having to ask her, which speaks volumes about how she respected my time and appreciated my urgency in the repair process. The seat replacement ultimately took several days to replace. Mindy regularly updated me on the progress and I was pleased and grateful that my service was done properly and with diligence. She even gave me a coupon to wash my truck at my convenience. I will also mention that my sales associate Toby has spoken with me anytime I have visited the dealership to make sure anything I need is being taken care of. The two major incidents were: 1.) trying to have the windshield replaced due to a chip in the glass that was unsatisfactorily repaired and 2.) the dashboard instrument panel cover (glare panel) was replaced with a defective one prior to us picking up the vehicle. read more

Most unprofessional and the worst dealership I have ever had the opportunity to purchase a vehicle from. Purchased a 2013 Denali from Nyle Maxwell in July 2013. Walked in the dealership and was immediately sent by the individual I was communication on the phone to a man whose mind was already set on what he was going to offer me. All the incentives she explained to me were all of a sudden not geared to the particular vehicle I wanted to purchase. The USAA incentives did not add up because for some reason the choices I made when I built the vehicle were also incorrect; even though the computer matched me with the built and this dealership replied with the certificate of acceptance. Upon closure, I found out the vehicle I chose was not the one for sale, but the demo was the vehicle that was placed on the purchase ticket. To top it all off, he tried to give me a new vehicle with no mats. Yes no floor mats, then tried to have some used mats washed off in the maintenance area. I have purchased numerous vehicles over the past 22 years, and have never had to wait for another customer to finish their sale before my sale was completed. It was an embarrassment. read more

Sorry, we had to go through these steps, and that you had to pay for all this in order for us to properly diagnose and TRY to solve the problem. Want your money back? NO, take these service credits instead because we are going to force you to do business with us. And by the way the only way to fix your car issues is with an entirely new Engine. Just try to get your car past inspection as it is. Not my exact experience, but an accurate depiction of how I felt I was treated. So i drove an hour and a half to look at a used car. I had pre-approved financing but they kept trying to get me to use theirs. They said that i could get a better rate with them so i said as long as it wasn't a hard pull i would give it a shot. Of course they could not beat what i already had and I find out the next day that they did a hard pull anyway after they guaranteed me it would not be. Eventually i bought the car and because it was less than what they wanted me to pay their attitude completely changed, from welcoming to confrontational. I asked if they were going to put gas in it before i left and the salesman said "just 20$ cause its company policy", i used to work at a dealership and they would give you a full tank when purchasing a vehicle. 2 hrs later i finish all the paperwork and get in the car to leave and thanks for nothing, the tank was empty. BAIT AND SWITCH! Agree if I could do less than 1 star I would. I negotiated a Yukon on the lot down below invoice with the Sales Mgr who apparently didn't like it too much because as I went to pick it up the next day they switched the chrome wheels to basic steel wheels. They were not going to tell me and when I asked my Sales rep he referred me to the Mgr. "We had Denali wheels on there by mistake". When I reminded them we negotiated the car on the lot with those wheels I was told I could pay $3k more if I wanted those wheels. I walked out. Talked to the GM the next day after several attempts and he stated the same BS. A day or so later the friendly follow up person asked me how is my new car and experience. She got an earful and offered to talk with Mr Maxwell himself at the North Chrysler/Jeep location to see if they could work something out. NOTHING. I HAVE TOLD EVERYONE I KNOW AND MORE TO NEVER BUY FROM THIS GROUP. NO EXPERIENCE IS BETTER THAN A BAD EXPERIENCE! read more

STAY AWAY*** HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE****** I purchased a brand new 2016 GMC Canyon the end of December of 2016 from Nyle Maxwell GMC in Round Rock. I drove the truck for about 3 months and the engine blew up, while I was driving on the freeway. I had not even gotten the first oil change and there were no warning indicators or anything that came up to advise me of what was about to happen. Nyle Maxwell GMC in Round Rock advised me they were going to replace the engine as it was just a "fluke" deal. They would not entertain a vehicle swap as I was advised it was "too much paperwork" for the dealership. They never once asked me what my concerns were, or what I would like to see happen. They simply told me what was going to happen and that was it. Richard Wheeler and Richard Davidson were rude and full of empty promises. The dealership advised me they would make 2 of my truck payments for my inconvenience and even verified the amount and the method of delivery of these payments, well this did not happen either as the next day they simply called to advise me that they would NOT be making the payments and gave no reason why. I now have a noise coming from the front of the vehicle that was not there before and the dealership is not returning my phone calls nor e-mails regarding this issue. I am afraid that the truck will never be the same. They have never bothered to listen to my concerns and have made me feel horrible. I wish I had never gone to their dealership and purchased a vehicle from them as this is a big mistake. I have also reached out to a Tom Gannon, who apparently oversees all at the dealership and I have heard nothing. Save yourself some time and trouble, go elsewhere...anywhere else. read more

Very helpful people very sweet but I was silly and didn't get my car checked out before I bought it. They have a mechanic on the lot they should know if there would be a big problem with a car. My cv axel needed to be replaced.... Pretty dangerous from what I hear. I feel like they probably knew and took advantage of the fact that I was a 19yro girl there by myself with my no smarter 21yro husband. But they did take off $1000 when I came in with cash and told them my previous car just broke down and I need a new one asap. They let me take the car before I paid for it to pick up the money, I know other dealers would have done it too, it was still pretty nice that they made it as painless as possible. I didn't like they promise financing no matter what and they denied me. Unfortunately I was hit by a foreign uninsured driver two months after I bought it and my insurance didn't cover it so I'll be needing a new one. Used car buyers beware. For the most part there are only two types of used cars on a dealers lot. Clean decent cars that are put on front line to sell. And trade in's that are not in great shape that would cost dealer to much money to get up to good shape, so they go to auction, a wholesale unit. That is the way it has most always been, and probably should be. For piece of mind knowing if a used vehicle is on dealers front lot, must be half way decent shape, otherwise they would wholesale it. Well I found out hard, expensive way, that Maxwell GMC will take, what in most eyes would be a wholesale unit, put it on front line, and sell it for retail price. I know new is new, and used is largely judgmental, but they have no remorse in selling you a sub-par vehicle. Mine made it all they way to my first oil change to find out it needed multiple thousands of dollars of repairs. When I asked my salesman about it he said "let me see what I can do, I will call you"....Ya, I am still waiting for the call. Not saying all their vehicles are poor, just saying do not trust what They say is good used vehicle. read more
