This is one of the best ramen spots that Bakersfield has in town. No other place has been able to top it off for me. My favorite food item is the tonkotsu ramen. The broth is so rich and delicious and the toppings are a perfect combination. I love their marinated eggs they are soooo good. The only thing is that I have noticed that they don't really care for presentation; every time I Have ordered ramen here it looks like it was just thrown together. The service is pretty good every time I have come. read more

I came in for dinner and ordered the ramen combo, which includes a side salad, chasu ramen, and a small rice bowl (I chose the garlic pork). To be fair, I missed the side salad part as I was reading the menu. The side salad was okay. Standard side salad, but the dressing was quite different than most Japanese places that offer a ginger style dressing. I wasn't a huge fan. The ramen came out and it was a fairly large bowl. The noodles and broth were both fine, not game changing or memorable. The pork was fatty. The rice bowl came and it was the better of the three dishes. I enjoyed the mild garlic flavor of the rice, but the pork even more fatty. About half of the pieces of pork were pure fat. The experience was fine and service was friendly. The food came out relatively quickly and the portions were generous. The ramen combo and beer, plus tax and tip, ended up around $26. read more

Great ramen lots of food choices and cool atmosphere however they never pick up their phone so ive been unable to make reservations in the past which leads to a wait time of over 45min and in my opinion its not truly worth the wait when i can just drive to Tengu ramen get seated and have delicious food before the 45min wait time for o ramen is over. I really wanted to love this place because the ambiance is really cute. They have anime posters and Dragon Ball collection as display so it's a great experience. The broth was good, not too spicy but the noodles tasted like cardboard. Their pork quality was good but small portion of the meat compared to the big portion of noodles and broth. I love ramen, especially on a cold evening. A nice spicy ramen is just what I crave when it starts to get cold. O Ramen has quickly become my favorite ramen shop and I can't get enough! The space is a decent size and the service is fairly quick. Especially considering the fact that they're almost always busy and rushing to clean a table so they can sit the next guest! That's also a testament to how delicious their ramen is. They offer non-ramen options as well which are also yummy but I'll stick to their spicy ramen. So dang good. They have a fun mural on the wall and lanterns hanging from the ceiling so it's a fun space to dine-in at. I highly recommend their food. Never had bad service. Even the location is nice. 5/5. read more

My fav ramen in Bakersfield! If you order spicy ramen, bet your bottom dollar, your mouth will be on fire! I love that, as many things say spicy, but lack spice entirely. Unlike some other ramen establishments, their noodles are not sulfury and soggy. They are tasty and fresh. They have tons of topping options, like fresh garlic, and the beloved seasoned hard boiled egg. It's always a nice excuse to eat here when I feel a cold coming on, as I know this soup will bring me back to life. read more

Be prepared for a bit of a wait when you arrive, it's that good and everyone knows it's lol. You sign in on this paper then wait. Took a while to get a waiter to come to our table and they only came once to ask if we needed anything. My mouth was on fire from the ramen so I asked for water plenty mind you I can handle spice, but it hits different when your dish is warm and spicy lol First time trying ramen so I give it a solid 10/10 here! Food wasn't good overpriced almost 20 dollars for top ramen and an egg the server gave me a weird look like a eyeroll for ordering with a fork, sorry not everyone doesn't know how to use chopsticks, terrible customer service rude the cooks were talking in their language about our table while glancing over at us. 3.5 stars Visited on a Sunday just shortly after they opened and they were already packed! My expectations from seeing that and other Yelp reviews was that the ramen would be really good here, but unfortunately I left disappointed. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with mild spice and the broth was thin and lacked flavor. I love ramen and I think the dish hinges on its broth, which was definitely not a selling point here. The egg is advertised as soft boiled but is definitely a hard boiled egg. Overall a kind of underwhelming ramen experience. The ramen does come with a lot of broth which is nice, but since I didn't enjoy its taste I didn't finish it (when I normally would). Some highlights include the service, which consisted of friendly and responsive staff, and their anime wall art which is even better in person! read more

I have been here a few times with friends and liked it enough. So, I decided to chance it and take my mother here. We ordered the ramen and a chicken katsu bowl with garlic rice. The chicken was crispy and the rice was super flavorful. Mom finished her ramen with little complaint. The wait staff wad also pretty patient and attentive. Especially when my mother, who was irritated with a cold, asked a multitude of questions. Overall, she didn't complain very much, so I would call that a success! We just ordered non spicy Tonkatsu Ramen for me and out of town visitors. Comparing to other Ramen restaurants I had in the past, their Tonkatsu broth was just okay and slightly above average , decent but nothing special and the ramen noodles is a little rubbery and stiff. The quantity of food with hard boiled eggs is good and fair price however the pork meat quantity is small and didn't leave an impressive taste. I would give this place my third best place for Tonkatsu Ramen in Bakersfield. By the way this place has decent dinning environment. I am giving it over all a 3 Stars. read more

The tonkotsu ramen was blander than I would've liked it to be, while the broth was a little too thin and the noodles were a little too thick. What's good to eat in Bakersfield? Should we keep driving south and just wait until we find more food options? All these thoughts but hunger ultimately won and we needed to stretch our legs and take a breather from the long drive from Yosemite. This place took us by surprise. Came here because of the Yelp reviews and we really wanted some ramen. YES! We finally found a great spot to eat in Bakersfield, could be one of my favorites. We came in on a Monday evening and they were not busy. We got seated right away. It's a pretty big dining area, very clean and well kept. We ordered the Tonkotsu ramen (so good! Broth is very flavorful, the noodles and the pork had great taste), the Tantanmen (if you like spicy, then you'll like this one), & the Tsukemen (cold ramen noodles, soft boiled egg, chasu pork, and a side of pork broth). Broth so good, we added two extra orders of noodles. LOL. Also ordered a side of the shrimp tempura (not too breaded, big shrimp). Delicious food. Friendly staff. Excellent service. This place gets really busy and for good reason it's a nice and cozy location to chat with friends, family, or go on a date. We have had to wait anywhere from 30 min to 1 1/2 hour for a table here. Their food is delicious and the portion sizes are pretty big. I have absolutely no complaints, on both occasions I've visited the service has been really good and the servers are very attentive, constantly refilling drinks and making sure you are doing okay. I would say that the wait time for getting your food isn't too long either. So happy to have found such a nice ramen restaurant located in Bakersfield of all places. The atmosphere in this establishment is relaxed, inviting, and friendly. It was busy for lunch but we were able to get a table right away. We did wait for our drink order a bit too long, but once the server got to us, they were very attentive. The order was taken and our food was hot when delivered to the table. Top service! Quiet but sweet service. Only open 3 weeks now! We went at 1130am on a weekday and it was just us and a couple of other tables. By 1pm, they started to fill up! I liked the open style kitchen and the large, airy room. We started off with ice water and ginger tea. Then onto the Monkey Balls appy. So good and a popular item we were told. Breaded, fried mushroom goodness with a spicy mayo dip. Served hot and fresh. There were at least 10 in the basket. We both got spicy ground pork ramen and I would recommend it. I am picky with noodle textures and it came out perfect! Nice pieces of pork and cabbage, yum! There was plenty of broth and it did taste homemade. Filled with little pockets of cream cheese, drizzled with honey, and topped with toasted regular and black sesame seeds (I forgot to take a pic of this one, but I'll add it next time I go). We enjoyed all of the pastries we tried- not a crumb on our plates by the time we were finished! The decor is beautiful and unique. All of the employees super nice and helpful. You can ask them for descriptions or ask for a menu to see details and ingredients. They're open late too, so I think my next visit will be a GNO or a date with my hubby.

There was a good amount of indoor seating, and I could see this cafe being a fine spot to linger in for a while.

The broth was flavorful and rich, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. However, my dining experience was somewhat marred by the presence of several groups of obnoxious, entitled rich kids who seemed to be more interested in showing off their wealth than enjoying their meal. Despite the distractions caused by these individuals, the quality of the ramen itself was truly exceptional. The noodles had a perfect texture and the broth was deeply satisfying. The toppings, which included slices of pork, bamboo shoots, and a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg, added layers of flavor and texture that made each bite a delight. Although I was disappointed by the behavior of some of the other diners, I cannot fault the restaurant for their excellent food and service. If you can overlook the occasional presence of pretentious, attention-seeking patrons, this ramen restaurant is well worth a visit. We came to celebrate my birthday on a Friday night and I can honestly say i can't wait to come back it was great! The server and staff were all super nice even tho we stayed there last they didn't rush us or anything and since it was my bday they gave me free matcha ice cream! The food was delicious, very big portions so you will definitely be taking it home! Everything was cooked to order piping hot, and very flavorful! I ordered the tofu ramen and asked if it could be made spicy and my husband asked for the mushroom and rice plate (can't remember the name) Their garlic fried rice is AMAZING! Also all of our entrees came with miso soup and it's the best one I've tried in town. Very reasonably priced since they're huge portions and great flavor.
