I came back and picked up the clutch kit and found that the CV boots they ordered for me were the wrong ones. They were very apologetic and gave me a discount on the clutch kit and ordered the correct CV boots. A pleasant surprise. Previously, I would check several different websites for prices for parts, but now I go directly to NAPA, no more shopping around. At NAPA, I know I'll get the right part, or they'll help me find it. For those of you who need dealer only parts, check NAPA. I've found *many* VW parts that I could only find online or at the dealer here at NAPA. Prices are very reasonable compared to the dealer and only a little more than online. At least if you buy the wrong part, you can return it locally instead of having to mail it back. The parts at NAPA are better quality than most. Be careful of parts from other stores. Some rebuilt parts will fail at the drop of a wrench. If you want a reliable car, you want reliable parts. Get them here. The staff here is awesome. Brad, Trenda, Jeff, Vicky, they're all helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. You can take these people's advice unlike the dodgy advice of other parts stores. It was raining one day and I had too many parts to carry out by myself and they'll help you carry the parts out. Above and beyond. What does NAPA stand for? Only quality.

I know this location can get hectic, so I decided to make an appointment where I mentioned I have a $20 off of oil change. Received a confirmation email with another coupon in it, all right!!! I learnt something new. Please try yourself! Saving money is crucial these days. I drove in, I am sure we all know how their system works, was helped right away, stayed in my car. Upon checking the oil, I have been told that it looks nice and clear, but it is a bit low. This young man told me he will not change my oil, and figured out that I will need a coolant change. Never had one, usually you do not need one until 100.000 miles, my car had 114.000 miles. Supposed to be a $125 but with coupons and kindness I paid much much less :) I looked up how much that cost at other places, found prices between $200-$400 and also a long wait time. It was still done in 10 minutes. I am so grateful for him and makes me happy that people who really care are still around. We have been getting our oil changed here for years, never been disappointed. This time was no different! Honked as leaving (sign of a satisfied customer) and the coupon I got for oil change is still valid. Life is good and Take 5 as well!

BUT I do know that every time I call they remember who I am, which probably speaks to my awesome driving :), or they just have great customer service. Being a small, family run business they are so personable and tell you to come in immediately. No appointment required. I might realize that other auto repair places might do the same, but they actually check your car out upon arrival. It doesn't just sit in a garage for a week until they tell you it will be another few weeks as they are 'waiting on a piece.' I have always wondered if they just say that sometimes to cover the tracks of their procrastination? After your car is repaired in a timely fashion you leave Easy Street even more happy because their prices are so reasonable. They repair what is necessary and don't try to talk you into purchasing or repairing something that is probably not a priority. Don't be silly. And, my two-seater sports car is none other than America's sports car. (And yes, there is only ONE America's sports car. You can figure it out.) None of those fancy Italian or German roadsters for me. And when it's time for service, I take my hot rod to Ray Huffines Chevrolet in Plano. No, I didn't buy my speedster at Huffines. Actually, I bought it in New Jersey, so I had to figure out a local Chevrolet dealer for my continuing service needs. After several service runs to other dealerships shortly after buying it that were less than satisfactory, I settled on Huffines. Why? Well, let me count the ways. This is my fourth America's Sports Car over the past twenty years. Prior to this one, I took my cars to several other Chevy dealerships in the Dallas area. And getting service from most of them was like being staked to an ant hill on a broiling August day. Matter of fact, most of the time, I would have chosen the ant hill. But over my five or six visits to Huffines, my service advisors have been timely upon my arrival and pleasant to deal with. And their estimates of the service cost and time frame have always been spot on. The waiting area is typical for a Chevy dealership. No fancy expresso machines, complimentary champagne, and hors d'oeuvres that you might find at your Lamborghini dealership. Again, this is a CHEVROLET dealership. And while you might not drive America's sports car, I'd bet that Huffines would be good for your Chevy Malibu, or maybe even some other vehicle brands. But if you do drive a Lamborghini, I'd probably play it safe at the Lambo dealership, especially if they serve some of those fancy Canapés while you're sipping a nice vintage of Dom Perignon.

When I left work a few hours later, I received a low oil level alert! The oil change was about $130. I was charged an "EXTRA OIL FEE" because my Q5 needed more than 5 quarts of oil. I guess they decided not to add that last quart! I'll go buy oil and add it before I go wait in that line again. I am never going back.

This past time however was pretty unpleasant. car was dropped off on a Thursday and due to be finished on that coming Wednesday for a camshaft replacement, I didn't end up getting the ok to pick it up until Friday where they tried giving it back to me with a check engine light that wasn't there before and the engine wouldn't even stay on for more than 5 seconds at a time before sputtering out and dying, so they kept it for another day so they could mess with it some more. they eventually got it to be able to run but still sent me home with a check engine light, which come to find out is because they somehow didn't notice an extremely obvious wiring issue that I noticed about 5 minutes into just looking around the sensors. On top of the already pretty unacceptable experience my leather drivers seat also had a brand new rip in it and the paint on my fenders was cracked due to them forcing my hood open because they somehow managed to get it stuck closed. I was promised updates and didn't get a single one throughout the entire process unless I called the owner directly. They also heavily rounded my drain plug when changing the oil. Needless to say Im looking for a new shop now.
