I stopped by this O'Reilly location during my lunch break while walking through Gilman Village, which is about five minutes from the law firm where I work. I needed to buy additional oil for my car, so I decided to step in. I had just come from a nearby Indian grocery store and had a small plastic bag with a single small item (paneer). I selected the oil, went to the register, and noticed the cashier was busy. I asked if anyone else could help, and another employee came over. After I paid for the oil, I placed the receipt in the grocery bag. The oil was still in my hand. At that point, the employee asked, "What do you have in your bag?" When I asked why, he said it was "to make sure you are not stealing from us." I showed the bag, but I was shocked and offended. In my 47 years of life, I have never been accused of stealing. If there are concerns, please rely on your cameras and internal procedures rather than making direct accusations to paying customers. This interaction was unnecessary and left a very unpleasant impression. read more

I came in this morning November 17th to purchase an item, and was not greeted upon walking in the door, nor thanked and to top it all I had my hand out to receive my receipt once my purchase was completed and he then lightly crumbled my receipt and placed it on the counter top, my response was just....WOW!!! read more

This was a month or so ago. I needed to change my car battery, and this place was close by. Called ahead and asked if they had the one I needed and showed up an hour later. The installation in my car was simple, so they put it in for me on the spot (and good, bc she wasn't moving anytime soon without a new battery, lol). They took my old one for recycling. Beverly and Saecha helped me tonight with my headlight/other stuff and other employees have helped me in the past with windshield wipers and other questions. They are always so helpful. A lot has to do with the counter person that you deal with. Some are friendly and very knowledgeable and some are not. Pretty typical I suppose. Sarah at this location was so great. The dealership battery in my car finally crapped out after about six years of use. I've never had to change my battery before so the task seemed daunting. I called and Sarah told me they had several batteries in stock for me to choose from, helped me find the tools I needed to change it and explained it for me. She offered to swap it out for me as well, however my car was trapped at home so she gave me the next best option. Thank you so much! read more

By the way They said it will be ready on Monday so I went to pick it up but it was not ready and he said it will be ready on Tuseday but it was not ready again and suddenly he answered me it is out of stock. Very bad service, bought headlight put in on the car IN THE PARKING lot of O'Reilly to make sure it works, well the bulb doesn't work so I asked one of the workers to make sure, he does and he sees for himself it doesn't work and they still won't exchange it for a bulb that works. So I had to go to a different O'Reilly to exchange a defected bulb. I stopped in for a product and was happy to find it on sale on Saturday morning, though only one on the shelf. I bought it and ordered 6 more, not paying at the time, and was told they would be there after 4 the same day. I came in around 6 and the products I ordered had been mistakenly put on the shelf and sold. Ok, so I ordered and paid for them then and was told to come back the next day (Sunday) after 4. I went to the store at the 5:30 and the products were not there again. After three trips I gave up. Asked for my money back. Will not shop here again. The employees are all super nice. read more

I tell the clerk i have a part under my name, doesn't bother looking it up and asks what the part is...so i tell him. Brings back the part and says $43, i said well i already paid for it a while ago. He storms off like my 2 year old child to find my part and throws my part on the counter....then starts to storm off again pouting. I had some choice words for him and then his manager tries to come at me to defend this crap. I told him you aren't with any of my additional time. Came in for two different parts for two different trucks. 1) An EGR Valve for a 1990 Bronco: without even looking on the computer, I was told they didn't carry them. Later looking online, I found out that was a lie. 2) Battery terminals for a 1989 F-150: when I asked if they're all the same sizes (because the one we just purchased was particularly difficult to put on the terminal post), the answer was, "Um... basically." The store itself appears well-stocked and organized, but come with as much research as you can. These people either don't know much, or don't care at all. read more

These people are crooks. Went in to buy some chains for my tires. My transaction was handled by Levi, the assistant manager. When I asked him which set of chains to buy, he did not explain the differences, but only mentioned the prices. Ok fine. How complicated can chains be. Bought a mid grade set and then out the door I went... Ended up not using them, so I thought returning them would be a feasible, painless process. I don't say this very often, but I hate being wrong. I tried returning them at the O'Reilly location in Renton on Rainier (just because of convenience). A sales associate said that he would have taken them back, however chains needed to be returned at the store in which they were purchased. Weird... a customer can't return a product from the same company? It HAS to be completed at the same store in which it was purchased? But the icing on the cake was when I went back to the Issaquah store. A sales associate then (rather bluntly) informed me that all sales on chains were final. ARE YOU SERIOUS? WHEN DID LEVY EVER MENTION THIS? AND WHAT ABOUT THE CLOWNS AT THE RENTON LOCATION? WHEN WAS I EVER INFORMED THAT ALL SALES ON CHAINS WERE FINAL? Rather irate at this point, I called the customer service line in Springfield, MO, and ended up getting in store credit for my purchase. The customer service representative was named Chris, who ended up being very helpful in this situation. Take your money elsewhere, away from these people who have terrible customer service before they steal your money. Even more icing on the cake: when I went to return the chains in Issaquah, I asked that Levy handle my transaction. Unfortunately, Levy couldn't face the music of what he had done...made another sales associate handle my return. Nice, O'reilly. Keep hiring managers with unscrupulous business practices and shoddy customer service skills. It only emulates why your ratings on Yelp will continue to be poor. read more

The store is well organized and staffed adequately, but the service is very poor. When I'm doing a project I value service above all. I bought a part, tried to install it but it was manufactured wrong. I travelled 20 mins to exchange it, but they refused because the part had a few greasy fingerprints on it. Now I'll have to take an extra trip back to return it. Had the employees just taken 2 mins and sprayed and wiped it off they'd have a customer for life. This is now an O'Reilly Auto Parts but used to be a Schuck's. I stopped in to checkout the ODBII reader. Ronni at the desk seemed to be in a particular mood. She was the only one working the desk when I arrived. I walked up and stood in front of here and waited patiently. She seemed busy so I didn't interrupt. Then a few minutes went by and she didn't bother to make eye contact or acknowledge the fact i was there. after a few more minutes she walked away and mumbled "I'll be with you shortly" without looking at me. Apparently she was helping a customer find an oil filter for a 67 Chevelle with a 350ci who refused to buy a Fram because it would "blow up." She was very snarky with him which rubbed me wrong. I don't think he appreciated it either. Finally she "assisted" by visually inspecting another brand against a Fram ph30 and recommended one on a guess. I'd think bing or google may be helpful if the parts lookup fails. Also, who doesn't know the oil filters for a Chev v8 in a parts store? I'm sure he'll be back. Then she rang him up... cool, now I can get the ODBII and check my codes... Nope... She rang up the next guy who came in after me. Then, she "has to escort" the ODBII machine to the vehicle as its "new policy." best part, she steps aside and lets me get the door for her. Then TELLS me to turn the ignition on before the odbII is even plugged in. For a second she seems to relax but I ask her to clear the codes and she refuses saying its against the rules and they play by the book for emissions. This might be a new rule, but I can buy an ODBII reader at most parts stores (didn't check if they had one) and flash it myself, pull the battery cable for a few minutes, or... get my ODBII reader back from my buddy and wipe the codes myself later this weekend. She told me it was "part of the fucking deal" and people are always coming in to cheat the system or some conspiracy theory about people cheating emissions. In the end, I'll never EVER go to this store again and I think they should really demand strong costumer service from their employees as well as educate them on high demand parts. If this is a new policy regarding the ODBII, then its ridiculous and defeats the purpose of the service. Why would I read the code, buy a part and then take it to a mechanic to get the code flashed and pay $95-120 for a diagnostic fee? No, I'd by an ODBII reader and clear it myself. If I could give this place no stars I would in a heart beat. I went in because my check engine light came on and I wanted to do the free check to get the code for my vehicle to see what's causing it. I waited in line like everyone else for about 5 to 7 minutes. Once it was my turn to go up he told me that they had to do it for me and once there was no one else in the store that they would help me (which by the way there were 5 people working and one person in line) So I waited and the guy who grabbed the device and came to my car was SO RUDE. He said "you have a misfire on 3" so I reply "oh my cylinder number three?" My dad has been a mechanic for 30 years and taught me about engines so I was genuinely asking. Then he proceeds to say "that's cute, you're cylinder number 3 ?" (Mocking me) So I ask what could cause it. He then asked me if I knew how electricity works and as I'm listening to him ramble about god knows what proceeds to be even more rude and condescending and tell me he "doesn't want to confuse me" and that it's probably a spark plug. Which he could have said in the first place. Even if you have the upmost knowledge or no knowledge at all, please do not treat me like I'm a child. Or at least ask my level of knowledge to explain further. And thank you for stereotyping me and automatically thinking I don't know what you're talking about because I'm a girl. Which I can fix more on my vehicle than most men. Won't be going back again except to speak my mind. Please go to Napa in Issaquah instead. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We bought a new battery for my Highlander and the older gentlemen who sold us the battery rang us up for the right one but then sold us the wrong battery which had a reverse layout - positive /negative on opposite sides. didnt even realize until the second we tried to attach it. immediately blew the 140a fuse among 5 other fuses. We brought the battery back to the store and got the correct one, the manager talked to the guy but he didn't seem to care that he messed up our car. We are now waiting for a tow truck to take to the dealership because the 140a fuse has to be taken out by a dealer. Thanks guys for costing us a crap ton of money! We will be sending you the bill for messing our car up. read more

I use this location when I need little replacements for the Mercedes. We've got a few wrong parts a couple of times. No big deal, they swap it out for no problem. The staff always seem friendly and willing to help as much as they can. Very surprised when I read the negative posts. I'm glad I didn't have the same experience as them. read more

Went to this location to use their scan tool, and I was told not only can I not borrow it as you can at every other location I've ever been, but that the guys in the store were not able to come out and read the code for me either because there were only two gentlemen working. I unfortunately had car batteries die on two cars within a week. I brought the minivan battery in and told them, I'm pretty sure it's bad, it's 7 years old. They charged it so they could test it and it was definitely bad, acid everywhere. They were great at explaining the different options for a new battery, I got that battery installed and my 18 year old minivan started right up! The next day I finally tackled removing the 12-volt Prius battery. This is a pain due to the location of the battery, but I finally worked up the courage to pull that out. This is a battery I bought 11 months before from this same location. I brought it in and they tested it, it was measuring 2 volts. They put it on the charger and were so kind when I kept calling throughout the day to see if it was ready to be picked up. I have been very happy with my experience going to this location and feel that they've been helpful. read more

My car was having issues starting even though I got a battery here one month ago (changed it myself for the first time). I was confused and was worried it was the alternator since the battery was new. Dylan tested both the battery and alternator and came to the conclusion it was the corrosion on the terminal that was the issue. He helped me get the corroded terminal off (it was quite the task) and installed the new one as well as terminal protectors. He was very friendly and helpful and I'd go back to him if I ever had any kind of battery issue again. read more

Honestly I would give this place 0 stars if that was an option. The workers are extremely unprofessional and make customers feel stupid for asking questions. In this day and age you would expect better customer service, even from a place like this. My wife went in to ask a question about her windshield wiper as it got broken/disconnected while taking the car through a car wash. The person at the front desk was rude and unwilling to even take a look at the wiper to see if it needed to be replaced. He stated "can't you see I don't really have time to come out and check your wiper right now..." He then continued to be rude as she asked if he could point her in the right direction of where their wiper blades were. He then proceeded to say, "why do you want to know where the blades are if you don't even know if you need a new one..." I don't know what it is about this O'Reilly's but I continue to have the WORST service experience here and I'm DONE. I am tired of being treated like my inquiry at the parts counter is an inconvenience to the otherwise lackadaisical staff. Never do I get a smile. Never is there so much as a gesture of appreciation that I am there to spend my money. I would complain to the manager but this has been going on for so long, and I see other similar reviews here, so obviously they don't care. AND- parking at this location sucks. The staff here are very disconnected and unhelpful. When I asked for a particular screw, I wasn't asked any information about it and was just pointed to a rotating rack in the back. During the visit I overheard the staff having very unprofessional conversation about transgender being "weird" and overheard a particularly harsh phone call while one employee almost chastised the customer on the phone and then proceeded to complain about it to his coworkers after it was over. I put the few things I had gathered back on the shelf to shop elsewhere. I won't be visiting this location again. read more

I bought a car battery from O'Reilly Auto Parts in issaquah just 2 months ago. It was dead in the morning yesterday and brought it the store. They recharged it. I put it back to my car and checked if there were any lights on inside and outside but none of them were on. So I went to a mechanic shop to see if there were any issues in my car that could drain the almost new battery. They said everything looks fine and the battery seems to be bad. They also checked the alternator and it works fine. Then I went to the O'Reilly Auto Parts again to ask if they can replace with new one since it is 2-month old and has 2-yr warranty. But they denied the replacement because their battery check-up equipment said the battery was good. O'Reilly Auto Parts said even if the mechanic confirmed that my battery is not good they will not replace if their diagnostic tool shows the battery is good. One funny thing is the manager, Greg, asked me to bring the verified document from the mechanic. I said "then will you replace?". He said "No. My tool needs to show "bad"" I said "then why do you ask me to waste my time by visiting a mechanic shop and get the document that you will not believe.". Do not buy any batteries from this store. I would go to Costco. read more
