Cinnamon Raisin Roll and Plain Croissant
    Christina S.

I stopped in for an iced vanilla latte and a couple of pastries, a plain Croissant, and Cinnamon Raisin Roll. I was hoping for a bigger selection of pastries but know item availability can fluctuate. There were 4-5 different pastries. There was a good selection of desserts. I was there on a Friday morning around 9:30. There were several open tables. It was about a 5 minute wait for my iced latte. Both pastries were tasty. The Croissant was buttery goodness. I appreciated that it didn't flake everywhere. I only had a bite of the Cinnamon Raisin Roll. That was my husband's and he enjoyed it. Plenty of raisins. Service is great. I interacted with 3 different employees and all were very nice. Staff is upbeat. They appeared to get along well with each other. It made for a great experience all around.

That Mexican mocha had good flavor but the coffee needs to be way hotter.

Went in and grabbed some coffees and pastries. They gave me one iced drink even though I wanted it hot, but they remade it. Coffee tasted good but it was more warm than hot. By the time I got the other one home , about 10-15 mins away, it was damn near room temp. I'd normally give it 3 stars but I don't think it's one of those huge corporate chains and the staff was really nice, plus it's a great location and has a good menu so I'm going to come back to eat breakfast.

I will always go out of my way to stop by Oside bakery. I am not disappointed when I do! I come on the weekends and while they are always busy the line is never long. I got 3 baked goods and's a coffee today. Their service is always quick and pleasant. Their pastries are always fresh. I have yet to stay and eat but the ambiance is casual.

Visiting some friends in oceanside and they brought us to this cute little bakery near their house! They serve breakfast and lunch (sandwiches), and have a HUGE array of pastries, cakes, croissants, tarts... beautifully laid out french-style. You can sit inside or outside. I got their omelette and wasnt super impressed. The fruit looked a little old, and the baguette was really soft - not toasted or crusty. The pastries were good though, and the service was quick and very kind! There was a bit of a line on Sunday, but my friends told me it usually stays pretty quiet! I wouldnt come back unless it was for a grab and go pastry from the window.

I've been coming to O'side bakery every weekend for almost a year, and it's delicious every time. Their coffee selection is good. They come out with a seasonal menu too. Their scrambles, and croissants are incredible. I get the breakfast burrito, or the ham and cheese croissant weekly. I've tried all the sandwiches, but none have really hit home for me. The service is awesome everyone is so kind and helpful. It's a cozy atmosphere inside with art on the walls that I think artists are having for sale. The outdoor seating is nice as well. My only gripe is that the brewed coffee is sometimes not very hot!! And that's frustrating. But all their crafted and espresso drinks are pretty great.

Morning hike with friends and we decided food was a must. They suggested here. Glad we followed their suggestion. It's an order at the counter place and as you wait you drool over the pastries. Had the blueberry tart and a mozzarella jalapeño croissant. Plus a California Benedict. Everything was delicious. The only complaint would be if coffee was served in real cups for dining in service. The tables are packed in yet doesn't feel to restricting.

Highlights! Service is always on point no matter who helps you. The pastries are fresh daily (we always take about 3-4 home) and their regular breakfast and lunch menu is tasty and filling. The restaurant is self seating after you order and the restaurant is consistently clean, soft music in the background, and rotating artists are featured on their walls. We love coming here (weekly if possible). We like to bring our pups and sit on the sizable patio outside, but there is more than enough room to sit inside too. The front of the house team is always moving (serving, cleaning, welcoming guests, etc.) but they are they are always personable and polite. Thank you to Joey who helped us today; we left the register laughing. I know this may see small to some, but the service here seems to care a little more and that has made a big difference in our experiences.

Portions are on the larger side, sometimes it's better to share. I like that we are able to go up and order when ready. The food comes out fairly quickly. There has been times when it has taken longer but it hasn't kept me from coming back. It's conveniently open at 6am which is a plus. There is plenty on seating inside, it's a great place for a quick breakfast.

Social media brought me in solely for the Ube croissant but I had no idea I'd stumble upon such a buzzing inland Oceanside gem outside of the usual downtown scene! The menu? Loved it. The whole place was hustling, vibrant, and full of good energy. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their orders, and I definitely did too. One small heads-up for first-time visitors: please read and respect the house rules. Don't claim a table before ordering it's part of what keeps the flow working in such a popular spot. Super excited to see what future Filipino-inspired items hit the menu next. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Had breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered an omelet with artichokes, ham, and pesto (forgot the name, but highly recommend it!) -- the flavors were amazing and perfectly cooked. Just wished the bread was warmed or toasted. The salsa on the side for the breakfast burrito had just the right spicy kick to it. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, bright, clean, and full of that local charm. Definitely one of those spots you want to linger and enjoy your morning coffee. I'll be back for sure! Tip: you must order before you sit.

    Cookie Butter Latte

New favorite is the cookie butter latte!! I hope they keep this through Christmas. The barista told me they make all of their own syrups for their special seasonal drinks. I come here once a week!

Not only are the baked foods delicious- so are the eggs Benedict and the coffees! Staff is very nice too! The order at the counter line moves quickly.

Thank you for the last 18 years....your breakfast/lunch menu was always made with freshness and love. Your pastries are next level, what more can I say...and the staff were always so amazing! One of the best items is the Chicken and Waffles Benedict ($19). It worked extremely well together with the sweetness of the Belgian waffle and the savory notes of the chicken. It included small containers of maple syrup. The hashbrowns were the best! They really killed it with the super crispy outside. Loved it! However, DH liked the Savory Crêpe ($15) even more! This one just had such a great flavor combination: the little bits of chicken, mushrooms, and classic Provence seasoning. The avocado toast ($8.50) with an over-easy egg ($3) was amazing. It features a multigrain bread and just had some great toasty flavors and topped with a little bit of micro greens. Everything worked so well together. The ham and cheese croissant sandwich ($9.25) is a rectangular shaped one. There is an omelette "patty", tomato, and bacon on the inside. This one was also surprisingly good, even when deconstructed and reheated the next day. The kids really enjoyed sharing a sweet crêpe ($14) with four toppings: strawberry, banana, chocolate, and real whipped cream. We tried a cappuccino ($5.25) and a soy latte ($5.25 + $1 for milk substitution). They were really good, not bitter, but I wish it was a little bit more concentrated. Maybe I'll try oatmilk next time. All of the pastries were amazing. We got a bunch to share and enjoy throughout our vacation. We tried two scones ($3.85 each), blueberry and raspberry pecan. The scones were nicely crunchy on the outside, yet soft and tender on the inside. Wow! We froze these for eating the next day and slowly thawed them in the oven and they were still wonderful. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie ($2.95) had a rich buttery taste. The texture is right in the middle and it's pretty large. Holiday Christmas tree cookie ($4.50) is a delicious buttery sugar cookie with a multitude of sprinkles. This one is not very big, but you can tell it required a lot of work to make it. Get more than one! The Chocolatine ($4.75) was a favorite. So flaky and it has a good amount of chocolate in the middle. Cheese Danish ($4.75) and All Day Bun ($3.75) are saved for later so we haven't tried them yet. Overall, an amazing place for a high-quality breakfast. We will be back!

I have had amazing cake shops in Los Angeles (sweet lady Jane, Porto's, even the tom cruise cake) but this place makes the most amazing, consistently delicious cakes. I dream about the moment there's another event that needs a cake so I can bring some from Crimson cake. I love their cakes so much I ordered a full cake tasting so I can try different flavors. My top favorites: 1. Chocolate with chocolate mousse (it's insanely perfect and great for freezing small pieces and bringing it out to nibble. Also equally love chocolate with fresh strawberries but just doesn't last as long in the fridge. 2. Black Forest cake - decadent chocolate with fresh raspberries that cut the chocolate decadence with the perfect balance 3. Pineapple and coconut- anyone who loves this combo will LOVE this cake. My husband's favorite. 4. Red velvet - not overly sweet exactly how I love it. The other favors I've tried that were decent were carrot cake, pistachio raspberry, almond raspberry. Pistachio flavor is super subtle. Carrot cake was not as moist as other carrot cakes I've had and almond raspberry couldn't taste much almond. Service is great and always good communication. They even made sure to load my car with items I've over based over the past year. Location is in a business park area so never had an issue finding parking. Crimson Cake will be my forever cake shop. Things bought: Raspados (1 fresas cremosas and 1 strawberry), elotes puercos, equites, and some pan). Food: Raspados flavors were really good and not watered down at all. What I liked about these raspados was that the ice doesn't melt fast and nice ice texture unlike other spots I've tried in SD county. The esquite has been one of the best I've ever found here in SD county (I've tried so many trying to find the right one since moving here 9 yrs ago!). Fresh corn, perfect amount of cheese with great taste, and just delicious. Elotes puercos had this sauce that I wish it was offered in the esquites as a flavor. PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THE RECIPE of this sauce!!! I tried 3 different types of pan (cochinito, oreja, and this white yellowish ball). The cochinito had a strong after taste that I didn't enjoy. Oreja was ok and I actually did eat, would of liked more of the glaze on it. The white yellow ball had no flavor at all (I'm assuming it was butter with sugar but still no flavor) but the bread itself was tasteless as well. Ambiance: Pretty clean and organized, bright pretty color tones. Customer service: Was greeted as soon as entering and every employee was very attentive and with a friendly attitude. Great job to all of you! I will definitely come visit again, I don't care that your location is about 1hr away, THIS SPOT IS WORTH IT. Please open one down south area in SD County.
