My wife and I went for breakfast on our anniversary. Service was very nice. Food was good. For some reason the restaurant was very hot - perhaps they turned off the AC expecting a cooler day. My California Benedict was good and their potatoes are solid. My wife's Crab Benedict was okay - crab cake was very thick and dry. French toast was also just okay - needed to be cooked hotter to get a better crust on it - was just soggy toast. read more

This was my first visit, for breakfast, and it did not disappoint. Plenty of space (but the counter is small), the staff was great, and the service was perfect. My waiter kept checking in for coffee and water refills without being obtrusive. I had the ProFit eggs Benedict and it was really good. My only complaint is that they were heavy-handed with the hollandaise - I expected it to be a little lighter or on the side for a "fit" dish - but that is a common complaint from me so it makes me think it's a "me" problem not a "them" problem. He processed my bill before I even realized it so I could just walk out when I was ready. read more

1st time here live in Lincoln and was scrolling for breakfast restaurants that we had not been to, found the 4 star Yelp reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. Saturday morning 10am, was not busy, we were seated fairly quickly, where we were seated there was is a beautiful view of a small lake behind the restaurant and a nice patio seating area for those warm summer mornings (it was cold and a little drizzly when we visited). The food was good and plenty full, will definitely be going back, one thing if you pay with cash, there is a discount compared to paying with a debit or credit card. read more

First visit. Menu is great. It's a rainy day, but looks like you can sit outside when the weather is nice and there is a nice pond. We were seated right away. Our order was taken about 10 minutes after we arrived. But its been over 30 minutes since we placed our order and we haven't been been served, acknowledged, asked if we want more beverages etc When our order arrived... we had no silverware and had to get up and ask for it. read more

If you have low standards for brunch, you can come here. After moving to Newport Beach, I can never find any food that can stay up to my standards in Sacramento anymore. Honestly, I saw good reviews and thought different for this restaurant but... what I had said otherwise. I had gotten a fruit and berries crepe while my SO had got a seafood (?) pasta. I'm disappointed by the quality. I know the menu is cheap but the cooking reflects that. My crepe had came out lukewarm maybe even a little cold. My boyfriend's pasta tasted like microwaveable food and there was no seafood in it! Not even a piece of shrimp or something! Honestly, Cheesecake Factory served better pasta. As for the service, I had a waitress that was possibly new and I didn't mind that she was in training. However, the way she spoke had made me feel very uncomfortable with the words she had used. It felt like I had been talking to myself since she didn't reply after I say anything or the way she would sneak upon my table and pass the check with no comment. The restaurant's decor, however, is decent. It is nothing special compared to the other restaurants you can get in Southern California. Overall, very lacking and food is not great! I left this restaurant with food not even half eaten. I'd rather cook at my parent's when visiting Sacramento. read more

Today we tried Oak Leaf Cafe. Food was good and service was slow. Not because we didn't have a great waiter, but because it was apparent there was no one in charge to manage the over worked staff. Cooks we're putting out some nice meals, but clearly wait staff needed help. Our waiter appeared to be taking slack up for the other staff not seeming to know how to support wait staff. He was doing the best he could, kept calm and was able to get us what we needed. However without help we sat a long time without coffee and drinks. Waited for little things that can ruin a meal getting cold. Please step in management. Also your extra fees were crazy. It's obvious management/owners don't support their staff and don't have pride in the business. I doubt we will return. read more

Food was good but the meals didn't come out complete. I've ordered just twice from OLC and both times were disappointing to say the least. The first order was their $18 steak and eggs, the egg are just that, eggs, the steak on the other hand taste like the gritty shoe leather it looked like, I ordered for mid-rare and what I got was beyond well done. I could have gone down the street to Mel's diner and had a better steak and eggs for $8. But I always give places a second chance, maybe steak isn't their fortay. Through their website I ordered a california benedict and an extra side of bacon. I picked up the order, it was ready right on time, but will be the only thing that is done correct. When I got home I opened up my CA eggs benedict and low and behold there is no bacon on it, "that's ok, I have the extra bacon I ordered I'll just add that to it." I thought to myself, but when I tasted the avocado it was so far from being ripe that it was bitter and hard. So, I call the cafe, no one picked up the line just rang and then went to voicemail, so I drove back and gave them my mis-made and ill prepared meal, politely asked for a refund, that's when I was told that they can not give me a refund and that because I ordered through their website that I would have to contact whomever that is. I tried to contact "Snaptown" that 3rd party company that does the online order processing, but good luck with that, just another voicemail. Now I am going to dispute the charge with my bank for a $25 refund, what a joke. As a business owner, I know that's how you lose customers, and they lost one with me. read more

OK I'm super bummed. I've always had the best breakfast there. I'd love to give this place a five star review for their breakfasts but today we came a little later decided to try their lunch yeah it's a Sunday OK I get it if you're busy on Sundays hire more people. Turns out the waitress we had had only been there a week on a busy day to be a new server not good. Never one time did she refill our water not just that when we finally did get our lunch both my husband and my sandwiches were stone cold and as well as the onion rings stone cold. My French dip look like someone threw on a couple of slabs of meat on a bun that's it on the plate with cold onion rings. Mind you this is not a cheap sandwich it says Ajou after all it is a French dip. Had to ask the waitress twice for the dip, instead of remaking, my husband and my sandwich I don't know what the heck they did put it back on the grill for five seconds through the onion rings back in the fryer, but it was not good. We brought our family with us because we bragged about it. Nothing like spending 100 bucks for lunch and having it crappy. I guess you can tell I wasn't happy I would never go back there again except for breakfast. read more

Last time I went with my daughter I got sausage with my eggs, as soon as the set the plate down there was a weird smell, sausages had tired of being old or going bad. took a small bite and yes they were bad, my daughter verified sausages had a bad smell. the cook should have noticed the bad smell, when I told them about sausages even told them to smell them, many people came to table to question sausages, after 4 complaints they took cost of sausage off food but by then I didn't trust there food. unfortunately they way they handled this I will not go back. read more

This was out first time coming to this restaurant, a group of friends were meeting up from different areas and the location was perfect for us. The service was amazing, our waitress was patient with us and our many changes and request. The food was excellent and again, they were very accommodating for various changes to the items ordered.
