My wife and me visited this sushi place yesterday and were very satisfied with quality, great service, and interesting sushi creation on the menu. Very delicious sushi and mastered quickly by sushi chefs working at the station. I recommend this place to other sushi lovers.

Picked up dinner tonight from Oaka Sushi, and eh not too happy with it honestly. Went in to pick up my order and no one acknowledged me or say a hello. The lady up front finally looked towards me and said "name" and I told her my name. She grabbed a bag and plopped it down at the front counter, and turned away..no eye contact, not a word, which I thought was quite rude.. I told her thank you and have a goodnight and she said "you too." Not so good service. Now onto the food.. Ordered the oaka roll, Japanese lasagna, crunch roll and the golden knight roll. Japanese lasagna roll wasn't prepared how it normally is. There were tiny little rectangular cubes of cream cheese on top, normally it's melted generously over the sushi..tonight it was lacking. The rice was a bit hard and crunchy, eh okay. Everything seemed just okay until trying the golden knight roll. Something seemed definitely off and the color of the Cajun albacore was a bit on the brown darker side. It had a funky weird texture, fishy smell and was quite mushy. This probably shouldn't be served to customers. I ate some of it and it didn't taste good. Raw fish shouldn't taste like that. I took the rest of the Cajun albacore off to toss away. Now I am left with a stomach ache.

The first place we have came to for sushi since moving to Vegas. Fantastic vibe and the fish is fresh. We always go for the all you can eat as they hook it up! The salmon, UNI, and the white fish (ONO) is out of control delicious. This being right around the block and the long time sushi chefs make for a great experience as you can ask what's fresh or tell them to surprise you with a roll or Nigiri. They are a mom and pop joint so support local!

Excellent service and the food is amazing . The owner himself served us and we had an awesome conversation with him about this beautiful area and its surroundings . Highly recommended. Food was the best we ever had . Try the mussels very unique and the nigiri is very unique .

AYCE sushi! I hate when I look for AYCE sushi and can't find any information on Yelp. This is definitely AYCE sushi. Seems like new places in our area since i didn't see this place before. Very nice interior kind of hipster. When we got there it was 4 tables occupied everything else was available. As soon as we got there we start to order appetizers and salads coz I hate when I have to wait in between orders. I always start with miso soup and seaweed and cucumber salad. All the salad were super small but super tasty. They have specials on menu which you only can have one order. And those are must try. Super delicious, I remember one with jalapeño which was great. Forgot to ask if they have oyster. We usually start with Nigiri which was great. Orders are a little smaller than other places but I can say more delicious with intense taste. Everything was super tasty and you can say they pay attention on details. Albacore, smoked salmon, seared salmon, yellow tail.... everything was great. Shrimp temperature, salmon hand roll. We only had one rolls since we are no

I came here for lunch around 1pm, and it wasn't busy at all. I was seated at the bar. You can do a La carte, or AYCE. I chose AYCE lunch for $26. I thought the portions were perfect. They're small, which means you have more choices to order because you're less full! Everything was delicious. I got half orders of the white tiger roll and the hot night roll. Calamari was perfectly portioned as well. Ended with a small bowl of miso soup and green tea ice cream.

Esther is amazing. This was our first time here and it blew us... away. Like actually. We weren't ready. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and it was empty, which made zero sense?? This is hands down the best AYCE sushi I've had in Vegas. Not even close. Part of me wants to keep quiet, keep this place to myself like some secret raw fish temple. But people gotta know. The mochi literally cured my eczema. I have a full head of hair now. My vision's clearer. I cried a little eating the garlic tuna. Not sure if it was the flavor or some deep emotional release, but yeah. Five stars.

**I visited Oaka Sushi House but I could not check in because of the poor cell reception in the area** I love sushi and I found this place via DoorDash, which isn't too far from my boyfriend's house. We have a friend that used to live around the area and I never knew that this was here until DoorDash recommended it to us. Oh boy, I'm happy that we made this discovery. We placed our order via DoorDash and had it scheduled to be picked up in a half hour. Our order consisted of the following - Gyoza (5pcs), Mountain's Edge Roll (8pcs), Salmon Lover's Roll (8pcs), and California Crunch Roll (8pcs). Our order was ready right when we drove to the restaurant to pick it up. The Gyoza had a crispy, crunchy taste to it, and is always my go-to appetizer anytime I go to a Japanese restaurant. The Salmon Lover's Roll, which were topped with a lemon wedge, were full of flavor. The California Crunch Roll, which my boyfriend and I shared, were obviously very crunchy. Sushi rolls are always the best when they're fried! My boyfriend said that his Mountain's Edge Roll, which were topped with crab cakes, was delicious and tender. We loved Oaka and we hope to dine in here in the near future!

This place is amazing. I been to many sushi place around Las Vegas but Oaka have something that really gets my attention. I bring my family to Oaka sushi for the first time since new management or owner in this place. And boy! I'm telling you our server she is very nice very attentive even though you can tell she is very shy Chinese gilt. Our chef awesome food amazing very tasty and very fast service. I have nothing else to Day but good things about this place. I give them Five star great service great food excellent service. I will definitely come back. Thank you very much for amazing service and very tasty good food. A+++

This place is such a hidden gem and I'm glad it's a local spot that it doesn't get crowded like all the ayce sushi place in China town. They have a very cozy environment too that makes you enjoy your food even more. Service is on point, the servers here are nice and the chefs are super friendly. Love this place.

What a true hidden gem! This place was so delicious, the staff was friendly, and I'm so glad they weren't slammed! I will def be back.

Thank you Chief Larry, Oaka Sushi House, definitely goes beyond stars! I highly recommend this Sushi House, if you're looking for authentic & cultural. All the elements from the food, service, and staff bring it together. The service quality was truly exceptional, everyone on board, and sushi is served at top tier presentation. Oaka is located on Blue Diamond & S. Cimarron Rd. Near Mountains Edge, definitely a go to place after visiting Red Rock Overlook. Not too far from S. 15 Freeway. This Hidden Gem has been open for 6+ years. & operated by Chief Larry with over 18+ years of Sushi Making & Restaurant experience. P.S. The secret: ...... just ask for your personal liking and let them make magic. Several items that aren't on the menu were made from scratch in front of me. The coconut jalapeño roll Chief Larry made specially for my liking was very much my dessert, no ice cream necessary I can't wait to come back!

The service was amazing, and our server was super friendly and had great recommendations. My absolute favorite was the Lemon Salmon Roll it was seriously so good! The nigiri was fresh and delicious, the miso soup was flavorful, and the oysters were also really good. We also ordered the baked mussels, which were tasty, and the crispy rice was an easy 10/10. Our server recommended the Chanel Roll, and I'm so glad we tried it because it ended up being one of our favorites. Every item was ultra-fresh. Hot when hot and cold when cold. I would order something and just a minute or two it would come out. This was even with an 80% full restaurant. Even more impressive was that hot items came out very, very quickly. Matthew, my server was a cool laid-back guy who was super attentive. Everything he recommended was great! And he checked on almost everything I ordered! Something else impressive was how quickly they clean cleared and reset the tables. It was a team effort. Everyone who was in the restaurant serving or busing helped replace the items on the table. It was very cool to see. I have to mention Cassie, the first and last person I talked to. She greeted me at the door with a happy smile, asked if this was my first time and kindly recommended a lot of wonderful items when explaining the menu. On the way out she thanked me for coming. The space was simply but well decorated. They picked a great upbeat soundtrack for midday. It was a wonderful meal all around! I'll be back for sure.

The fish to rice ratio was fantastic, but it appears that they just make it in a smaller scale now. The host will tell you the wait time is between 35-40mins, but it was about an hour. There are no benches in the front available for waiting. The front is a bit small for waiting patrons to congregate. Too bad there's no way to make reservations. You can only add yourself on the list. They do not like to crank up the A/C here. In fact, there's a big fan next to the bar that was moving. There's plenty of seating for a small space. They definitely figured out how to maximize the small space with plenty of seating, though the wait times are still a lot. I would've recommend this place for a large group. Price was reasonable for a good AYCE menu. We ordered pork belly, and that came with two hefty pieces with good sauce. I like how you have the option to order half rolls so you can try a variety of them. The uni tasted fresh for an AYCE spot. Actually, the uni was pretty good in general. Like most AYCE places, you can only order 1 of these per person. All the apps and nigiris tasted great. Foodwise, this place has a good AYCE menu. There is nothing extraordinary on the menu. Just typical AYCE sushi.

Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. The tuna melts in your mouth and bite after bite is a wonderful experience as you pair it with soy sauce, fresh Wasabi, yuzu Wasabi, or some combination of the condiments provided. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch. If you know Japanese - even if it's just a few phrases, speak with him as he will be delighted. He was absolutely tickled when we said arigato and he shared that he is originally from Kyoto.
