    Jacked Taco (GF)Sweet Potato Fries
    Ashley E.

Boyfriend and I were here in Riverside for a work Christmas dinner. We were staying down the street from this cafe. I like to eat vegetarian food, my boyfriend does not really eat it but will try for me. It's a cute little set up next to a healthy grocery store. They were very helpful with the recommendations. I got the jack fruit tacos, the champurrado ( with oat milk and vegan chocolate) it was really different from the original since that's how I drink it. Very good though, definitely recommend. Then my boyfriend had the tamale, Pupusa zucchini and he had the juice. Very impressed how delicious they are! My boyfriend said they should open an actual restaurant. If I'm ever in riverside, I'll be back

Oasis is a great location to try even if you are not vegetarian or vegan. Located next to La Sierra Natural Foods, it is a little counter where you can order a variety of handmade vegan items. The menu lists no prices, so while ordering, I did not have the faintest idea what my total would be. I ordered a combo, which according to the sign comes with a Dish + Side + Drink. I got the Tofu Sandwich (blackened tofu), sweet potato fries, and a horchata. The cashier advised me that the horchata would be a $2.25 upcharge to the combo. I accepted, but was confused as to why it would be listed under "Drinks" on the menu, but require an upcharge. There were no indications on the posted menu sign which drinks would be free with the combo meal. The tofu sandwich was good, but next time I would like to try the turmeric marinated tofu. The cayenne/paprika seasoning had a nice kick, but usually I find that marinated tofu has more flavor. The sweet potato fries were delicious, I only wish they came with a few more! Great service! Even with a line, my meal came out hot and fresh in under 10 minutes.

I can't believe I've lived in the area for almost 10 years and never knew about this hidden gem!! I finally found a hearty jackfruit burrito that is so flavorful you won't believe it's not real meat! I sampled the ice cream sandwiches and loved them all- you can't go wrong with any of them. I'm looking forward to trying the bowls, salads and juices next. This will be a spot I visit at least once per week.

Love that they offer inside and indoor seating. The menu offers an array of options. I opted for the carnitas taquitos that come in a 4 piece plate with cream dressing, avocado dressing and lettuce. Two are filled with potatoes and two come with carnitas. The taquitos are filled with so much flavor i absolutely loved them. Ordering was easy you go to the window on the outside and pick up after they call your name at the window. Located by La Sierra university off of pierce street. The seating and area is super calm so a great place to sit and enjoy your meal. The riverwalk isn't too far so you could also opt for a short walk after with a nice little view. Love Oasis and glad I got to try their taquitos.

This place... This place!!!! Omg. It's a little out of the way for me so I've never been despite some prior curiosity, but my sports therapist is down the street so I'm swinging by Oasis every Taco Tuesday now. Could not be happier. The food here is so wholesome. I definitely don't eat enough greens in general so I love that most dishes are packed with fresh veggies. Oasis is serious about serving these feel-good meals, with some fried dishes even having an option to be air fried instead of deep fried. The carnitas are made of seitan and they are fabulous. They crunch on the outside (as if they were fried, but I'm not sure because they're not oily at all!) and are soft and tender on the inside. There are other options I'm sure are equally delicious like jackfruit or potatoes subbing in for meat, but I prefer the carnitas for getting protein in. The sides are great as well. I've tried the potato wedges and plantains so far and loved them both. They are perfectly crispy and somehow hardly oily at all. You order at the counter and clean up after yourself. The girls who work here are super sweet and bubbly so don't be shy if you have any questions. I believe indoor dining closes at 6:30PM, but I'd happily sit outside in the cold if it means eating here. No lie, last week I went to the gym to hit upper, came here for dinner, then felt so good after I went back to do lower body too. :)

The little window on the left is the order area. You can sit down inside the store if you choose or outside.

This place is the best vegan joint in the inland empire. It's a small restaurant right outside of a local grocery and they simply do not make bad food. I've been coming here for years and they've only ever been kind, and produced quality meals. If you can hit them up on Sunday, you need to try the pozole; it's simply killer! If you're a vegan, or simply want to try great plant based options, this is the place to go to.

Highly recommend! Even if you're not a vegetarian, everything is made with care, seasoned well and healthy. On top of that, the service has always been fantastic. It's located in a pretty peaceful area. Conveniently, they share space with a vegetarian/health centered grocery store, too. Seating is great both inside and outside. Check them out! You won't regret it!

I didn't know what to expect as i am new to vegan food but man oh man this is bomb. i am very impress with everything we got. You know when its rainy and you want comforting food this place delivered. I had the tofu breakfast burrito and it was so tasty!!! i had it with avocado ginger which complimented the vegetable and tofu!! They also had us try the other saice. The turmeric aioli is pretty similar to mustard (love it), vegan cream more like mayo!!! hubby had the build your own burrito with carnitas and mushroom with red pepper sauce!!! Way better than chipotle. i also love the hot matcha latte!!! You can taste the freshness of the matcha and when i said hot it was really hot!! Love it!!! cant wait to try more!!!!

Once again, I stand by claim that this is the most delicious sandwich there is! Specifically at this location, they have it down right. I tried this sandwich at a different Carrot and Daikon and it just didn't hit the way it does at this Corona location. Maybe I'm crazy, but if you have never tried this spot, try the Pork Belly here. The pork belly crunch followed by the fat that melts in your mouth, complimented with a slightly sweet and mostly savory sauce. Of course the carrot, Daikon, jalapeno and cilantro with the fresh banh mi make this top notch!! Wowza!

Full disclosure: I'm always suspicious of places that straddle the "fusion" food fence. I find…read more"fusion" usually translates to smothering something in an off-the-shelf international aisle sauce or wrapping it in a tortilla. Now, let me be clear, this restaurant does NOT mention the term fusion - at all. However, their menu whispers, "Hey there..." Crispy pork belly, lomo saltado, spam and egg. And, oh, brothers and sisters, they have gotten as close to paying the proper homage to all fusion cultures as I've seen. SPAM AND EGG: I'm chubby so SPAM is like my kryptonite. I had to have it. This sandwich threw me for a look. I'm used to other places overcooking the spam. NOT so at C&D. The spam was juicy. The fried egg was fluffy. The spicy sauce was genuinly spicy. I loved it so much that I've had it twice in three days. CRISPY PORK: I love the Chinese/Filipino Crispy Pork. The pork was nice and juicy. The skin was crunchy. Really great flavor. The only drawback was my own fault...of eating it cold because I had to eat the Spam and Egg sandwich first. LOMO SALTADO: I've got this sandwich sitting on my counter calling to me, in the queue while I finish my 2nd Spam and Egg Sandwich. I will come back to this review later today to fill in this blank. VIETNAMESE COFFEE (Large): I liked it. Yep. Not as overly sweet as I'm used to at Mr. Bagguette in LA, and that's a great thing. The only drawback is that it has a caffeine KICK. I felt the caffeine flowing through my veins 10 minutes after I took my first sip. Bread: In banh mi, the bread is the make-or-break. Here, the bread is not your typical medium to hard crunchy exterior and soft interior. The bread is on the softer side on the outside. It is a great change in pace for me because I haven't cut the top palette of my mouth like I usually do with harder bread. AND...that means that the sandwich doesn't lose it's character when I ate the sandwich cold later. STAFF: Very friendly! They are there to serve the customer. I've been greeted with a smile and genuine happiness. Great work C&D. You have a customer!

XLB - 10/10 - freshly made, soup was very tasty, the filling was very flavorful. It gave DTF a run for their money. No need for ginger. Dip this in some chili oil and soy sauce and you're in for a treat! 2. Pork shiumai - 6/10 - it was good but not the best I've had. My least fave. 3. Schezuan eggplant - 11/10 - the best schezuan eggplant dish I've had. Fresh off from the wok so be careful eating this coz it is temperature hot. The flavor was full of umami, sweet, salty, and that sauce is heavenly!! 4. Cucumber salad - 10/10. Love the crispiness and garlic flavor of this app. Liked the addition of cilantro. 5. Garlic string beans - another 11/10 - it was a full plate of this all time fave of ours. Cooked to perfection!! Again a little touch of some salted black beans that added more umami flavor. 6. Dan Dan noodles - 10/10 - I'm a big fan of DD noodles and this was delish!! Love the freshness of the noodles and right balance of ground meat and flavor was spot on!! 7. The favorite for me is breakfast, as you get the best flavors and most of the items are prepared fresh. I need to also say that lately they have started a Vegan section which I am just in awe of! Students consistently complain about the rising costs of the meals, which is absolutely true. You can get a much better meals at a fraction of the price outside of the campus walls, but when you are locked into a meal plan, that makes it much harder for students.
