Went for a late lunch around 2pm on a Wednesday. Not crowded. Fast service. Soda was perfect. I ordered the fish tacos. Delish! The wasabi dressing was great. It came with nachos that I don't think it mentioned on the menu. If I had known that I wouldn't have gotten fries. Our server was friendly. We sat at the first table we came to. I then went to the bathroom and realized the other half of the restaurant was much much cooler so we moved and the waitress thanked us! My niece had the breaded shrimp plate. She said it was good. Was on vacation in Myrtle and we walked in here for a few drinks during the county fest. I will not be returning as the service was absolutely the worst I've ever had. We sat at the outdoor benches and the waitress came up to us and told us that we were taking up her tables. She finished by telling us that if we didn't order drinks from her (we had just ordered from the bar before) than we would have to leave. Never mind that we had just sat there and the place was empty. There are plenty of other places to have a beer on the boardwalk, I'll be skipping this one. read more

I like their fried pickles. The view is great and it's at a great location - the boardwalk. I ordered the burger (apparently the best burger in Myrtle Beach). Ah...not so much. The service was good though - a little too good. At least 4 people came by the table to ask if everything was good and if we all got what we wanted which got us a little suspicious. Would not eat there again. Food was poor quality and overpriced. Driest cheeseburger I ever had and servers were inattentive and unfriendly. Was there on a Saturday at 2:00pm. Service was slow and the bartender and waitresses all looked like they hated there job and never smiled the 50 minutes we stayed. I have been here many times and this by far was my worst experience. We sat in the high chairs to people watch and never could get a waitress to take our order and had to go to the bar to get drinks. Avoid this place at all cost! I would give it 0 out of 5 stars if it was an option. They didn't offer any specials, they didn't have the first 3 beers that we ordered that we're listed on their menu, the fish & shrimp platter for $13 was absolutely horrible (1 small, dry piece of fish and dime sized shrimp that the Schwann man must've delivered), & then to top it off the bartender/server tried adding a few extra beers onto our tab. I ate here over the weekend and the food was good. I had a cheese burger with fries, the burger was okay but the fries were excellent. For the money its probably the best your gonna get on the boardwalk, and the view makes it worth coming out. I would recommend Oceanfront to all my friends, and i look forward to going back with them. :) read more

Mixed feeling about this place. It was nothing special, but it wasn't bad either. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich which was alright. My cousin had the fried seafood platter. She liked the shrimp, but the oysters and flounder were just alright. The waitress was very nice, but she messed up our bill. I had a Summer shandy but she charged me for a Sam Adams instead. Don't like that they charge for water when it's free at the other establishments. Probably wouldn't go back, but if you want to sit outside overlooking the beach and you want a decent place to eat, it's not bad. read more

This place is a joke. I ordered a margarita that tasted like it had a teaspoon of tequila in it and was ridiculously sweet so I asked for a beer instead. When the check was dropped off they forgot to take off the margarita that I didn't drink. The "manager" said that it's their policy to charge for a drink even if it gets sent back. That's absolutely ridiculous, why am I paying for a drink that was disgusting and didn't even consume? There's nothing stated on the menu about this so called policy and the server never mentioned it whenever I sent the margarita back. Maybe if they had a decent bartender that knew how to make drinks they wouldn't get sent back and they wouldn't have to be shady and charge customers for things they didn't end up consuming. Oh the best part was the owner wanted to talk over me and raise his voice at me whenever I brought up the fact that the servers should be trained to inform customers of this policy whenever an issue arises. read more

We came on a Thursday night andsat outside. This was the 3rd time here, so we had pretty good expectations. They were beat up and stomped on. 4 is us. We ordered shrimp basket-that was apparently good from what our companion told us. 2 order the fish me me po boy(?), fish was cold and over cooked. I ordered southern fried chicken sand which. All I can say is I think the deep fry person was mad they were working. I could barely bite it! We also ordered the funnel sticks- they arrived so overcooked, we couldn't even chew them! Seriously! We sent those back. I had also ordered sweet potato fries that I didnt get. Hubby needed a fork- took probably 5 minutes to get that. And I had asked for BleuCheese side- had to wait for that. All separate trips for the server, even though we asked for them all at the same time. This was just not good. It wasnt overly busy. Several tables were open. It was easy to see the deep fry cook was mad and our server was not too aware. Not to mention the oil in the fryer needed to be changed! And this is not coming from someone that is guessing, I've owned restaurants. It will be sometime before we go back. read more

I'm not really sure how places like this stay open . Maybe the people on sc are used to eating bad food but I'm not sure what it is . The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the chicken quesadilla. Very nice flavor and ingredients. Everything else about this place is just terrible . Also ordered buffalo shrimp which were soggy and the shrimp was kind of chewy . The jalapeño poppers were disappointing and we didn't even finish our food . Worst part is all the dam cockroaches walking around like they are a part of the scenery . I'm sure that it's very difficult to keep them away but something has to be done because it's just down right disgusting eating and being worried about them crawling on you . I'm sure people feed them because the seemed a little to friendly for my taste . read more
