The staff was rude and all it smelled like was beer and wine, which wasn't really family friendly to me. The fries and chicken was dark and gross. Great local bar and great local food! We are micro brew lovers and you will always find a good variety of well crafted beers. Tonight my husband and I enjoyed the Maibock its made by a Brewmaster who was fr Germany. Recommend the hummus appetizer, it comes with carrot and celery sticks, feta cheese, olives, and flash fried bagel chips made from their homemade bagels, which are sliced thin and then toasted . This was our first time here and we will definitely be back! Such a great option since we live our in Millsboro and surrounding by only fastfood and chains. We would have had a 45 minute wait but theb found seats at the hightop area. We were instabtly waited on and ordered a round of beer flights. We each enjoyed all of the flavors we ordered. My favorite was the light lager (can't recall the name of it). As an appetizer, we ordered the giant pretzel (not pictured) that comes with honey mustard and cheese. It was just like a typical soft pretzel, nothing crazy about it. For dinner, we ordered the Birria Burrito, Beer Tempura Shrimp, and the Sloppy Joe dan dan Noodles. My burrito was HUGE, ate half and took the rest home. I will totally order this dish again because the flavor is SO good. The sloppy joe noodles were also very good as I took a bite out of my fiancés. I will be ordering that next time. My friend ordered the shrimp and she said it was really tasty! We have been 6 times now. Food- trying way too hard. Most items are just ok they have way too many ingredients. Salt. Love it. Understand it makes people drink more beer. This last time two items we inedible. They took the items off our bill but I hate sending things back. Beer- meh Service - is always lovely. Outside seating is greatly appreciated. I'm so disappointed and have never had such bad service from a SoDel restaurant. The Management on duty was a joke and did nothing about the staff standing around in groups just chatting away while peoples food was lined up and just sitting under the heat lamps not being served. This is a tough one .... I personally would like to give one star ..but to average in the rest of my party I will give it 2 stars. In short I feel like I was "had". I feel like the waiter and the rest of the staff (along with the rest of my party) was having a huge laugh at my expense. Here is how it went. As I was surveying the menu I noticed 2 items circled in red scrolls.... (House specialties). The fried chicken, and something called "nap time". I am always intrigued by what the proprietor feels are their "specials". So I looked at the "nap time". This "entree" (if you even dare to call it an entree) ...at $23.00 mind you, -is a hot dog!! I do love hot dogs !!(see my profile pick) But 23 dollars?? It must be fantastic!! Right? So given it was billed as a special entree, I read the description .. the write up read very nice: grilled dog, chili con carne, toasted baguette, beer cheese, jalapeños.... So I ordered it - and the "you ordered what?? Began, Rather humiliating.!! But I held my ground as the write up and the price had set my expectations high.. well when our meals came and were sat upon the table and the waiter walked away the laughter started.. it was the saddest sack of $#it I have ever been served in any decent restaurant EVER! It was just lame, it was not pretty, there was literally 2 drops of beer cheese and only a couple of tablespoons of chili. I guarantee the dudes in the kitchen (and the proprietors) think KA-CHING! Another moron just gave us 23 dollars for a hot dog! It also came with a lil bag of chips WHAT?? In Colorado where I live this would have come on a huge bed of crispy tots with cheese and onions and put in the pizza oven and then fully smothered in chili. (And it would not be 23 bucks) Not only did it suck, I was ripped off, and humiliated. Go here if you must but just don't order the hot dog. read more

It was great to finally head out to lunch at the newest Sodel restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was less than fabulous. The nachos are quite limey and really not craveable.
