    Beignets

Excellent food and excellent service! I came to Seattle for Fourth of July weekend, and this was the only restaurant I came back to twice for Brunch. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and every visit was a great experience. I'm honestly not sure why there are so many negative reviews because I only have great things to say. I only managed to capture a photo of the beignets with jam, but they were served warm and were absolutely delicious. Along with the rest of the food I got. If you're visiting for the first time, this place is definitely worth a stop!

3 stars - Fine We went here for brunch on Sunday. They don't take reservations, so be prepared to get there early or wait. We waited 30ish minutes for a table. The large windows, high ceilings, and exposed brick create a great atmosphere. Our server was friendly. It was very busy, so we did not interact with them much. The food itself was fine. I had the stuffed brioche French toast ($22) with a side of eggs. My French toast was a little cold, but I attributed that to it being stuffed with the whipped mascarpone. My biggest issue with the dish was that it was lacking sides. Almost every other place I have been to would serve French toast (stuffed or regular) with eggs, meat, and some form of starch. I shouldn't have to add a side (and pay more money) to make the dish whole. For the table, all our dishes were small portions and expensive. I would probably go here again, but not if I was very hungry.

Ordered the mushroom, kale, & zucchini hash. Food tasted great but it was expensive. Service was fast on a weekday. Ambiance: vibrant rustic-industrial style

Had a great dinner at Oddfellows tonight! We had a reservation for 3 at 6:15 and were seated as soon as we walked in. The hostess was very nice and so was our server. For drinks we decided on a glass of wine, an aperol spritz and a beer. All were perfect. For starters we chose the eggs and burrata. We all loved the burrata with the apple and walnuts. Such a great combination that felt fresh. For mains we did the burger with blue cheese and the roast chicken. Both were what we were looking for. The vibe of the restaurant was cozy and relaxing and the staff really helped but us at ease and gave us a great evening.

First time at Oddfellows Cafe + Bar for brunch with a group of coworkers, and overall it was a really solid experience. The interior is casual and inviting with a farm-style vibe that makes it an easy place to hang out and catch up. There's plenty of seating; when we arrived around 11am it was pretty slow -- but by noon the place filled up fast, so clearly it's a popular spot. We all shared the Burrata appetizer, which ended up being my favorite thing I tried here. Perfectly grilled bread balanced with fresh Burrata, apples slices, golden raisins, celery, parsley, and something delicious sprinkled on top of it all. A very satisfying appetizer! I ordered the Croque Madam based on a recommendation, and it definitely delivered. Very rich and filling, with lots of cheese -- definitely on the heavier side, but really good. I also tried the brown sugar cinnamon latte. Flavor-wise it was just okay, but the coffee quality itself stood out. Service was quick and attentive, which was great for a work brunch. My only real complaint was the wobbly tables -- every time someone lifted their hands, the whole table moved, which got a little distracting. That aside, the atmosphere is great and it's a casual, comfortable spot I'd happily come back to. Especially looking forward to trying items off of their happy hour and dinner menus.

Spicy green shakshouka and stuffed French toast

Very cute brunch spot in Cap Hill, but the food and price overall did not meet expectations. We ordered the spicy green shakshouka and stuffed French toast - the food was good... but considering portions and size, we were not satisfied. The shakshouka was more of their take on a shakshouka with green chili.. and not at all like shakshouka I've had in the past. It was still a good savory dish, just not what I was expecting The brioche stuffed French toast dish was only a single piece of toast that got cold quick- we weren't impressed with it Overall, it's a pretty space, but considering the portions, price, and taste aren't enough to bring me back.

    Smoked Ham Benedict and Shakshouka

Cute spot in the heart of Capitol Hill which is nifty, but wasn't too impressed with the food. Definitely paying a premium for the ambiance and convenience. Smoked Ham Benedict - a very simple combo of smoked ham, potatoes, and eggs benedict. Ham and potatoes were delicious! Hard to go wrong with smoking ham, so that met expectations, but potatoes were roasted and salted well. The benedict fell short of hopes though. Hollandaise sauce wasn't very evident and the English muffin base was overly soggy.

This is a cute and bustling brunch spot! I got the chorizo and yukon hash. IMO for the price the portion size was a little small and the dish had a weird sour taste I didn't like. Given the wait and the price, I probably wouldn't come here again but it has great vibes

Great service, and delicious food@ The interior is pretyt chill and cozy, but can feel kinda cramped when there are too many people inside. the waiter we had was so friendly, adn offered some recs. I got hte avocado toast and the stuffed french toast. i thought both were SOOO so good. you def need to get the french toast. it was mroe on the pricier end, given the size but also it was fine, that might be seattle. everythig was delicious and im gald i came here.

Such a pretty place! We came in the morning and it wasn't as busy and it was also the day it was snowing so it was pretty outside. I love the interior decor!

I came to this area to visit a few shops and decided to grab a Monday brunch time meal to kick off my day. I was seated right away as a table of one (1) and surprisingly got the corner spot near the entrance. This was perfect for me as a solo traveler as I had plenty of space to get myself situated as I waited for my latte. The table/booth area is so cute and comfortable. I had a banana nut latte paired with a sweet potato and mushroom poached egg special they had for the day. The service I received was kind, quick, and prompt. I never had an issue and really enjoyed my time here as I planned the rest of my walking/shopping tour in Capitol Hill. Never a wait on a Monday either and there was plenty of space for large groups to come in and get seated.

    Bloody Mary
    Diana B.

Daughter and I stopped in after visiting the book store next door. We both had great luck with the drinks from the bar. The Bloody Mary had a tajin rim and was extra bloody with just the right amount of hot! Try the Frits with aioli sauce while covering your pallet with their delicious smash burger. Loved the building that has the feeling of being back in time. A wonder of history with a whirl of Bloody Mary delight!

I visited Oddfellows on a Monday morning for brunch with a couple of my friends. My friend & I walked over so we didn't have to worry about parking. Our friend who got there earlier had ordered beignets with jam for the table, & they were still nice & warm when we arrived. The server who was helping us was so friendly & was very attentive throughout our meal. The restaurant was quite crowded, but we surprisingly didn't wait too long for our dishes. I ordered their green shakshouka, one of my friends had their chorizo & yukon potato hash, & my other friend tried their sausage breakfast sandwich. We all loved our dishes & enjoyed our time at Oddfellows. I would love to go to Oddfellows again & try their drinks the next time I visit Seattle!

The arboretum-inspired interior creates a warm, inviting space that's perfect whether you're meeting friends, getting some work done, or simply taking a break from the day. The coffee was excellent, and one of the highlights of my visit was trying their Mocha Flight. It was a fun and creative way to sample several different mocha variations side by side. While I ultimately decided that I'm still a fan of the classic mocha, I'm glad I tried it--it made for a unique coffee experience. Another nice surprise is that Hagen also has a full bar, so it's a great place to return later in the day if you're in the mood for a cocktail instead of coffee. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, making the experience even more enjoyable. Between the excellent coffee, creative drink offerings, beautiful interior, and relaxed atmosphere, Hagen Café is a place I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for a unique café experience in Seattle. Thankfully they are open today on the Fourth of July (they will just close a little earlier for the holiday), and I was happy to see that not much has changed since my last visit. Without even realizing it, I ended up ordering the exact same drink I got the first time: a Matcha Float with mochi. I guess you really can't go wrong with it because it's still just as creamy and satisfying as I remembered. The only tiny downside is that it only comes with three small mochi balls, so for almost $9 I wish there were a few more. However, the quality of the matcha is consistently excellent, sooo I don't regret coming back. They have wonderful customer service too! The employee helping me at the register was incredibly patient while I stood there trying to decide what to order. As an awkward introvert, I always feel a little flustered when ordering, but she never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. She asked my sweetness preference for the Matcha Float, whether I wanted to dine in or take everything to go, and even carefully packed up my yuzu green tea packet with the rest of my order. She was very kind and thoughtful so just wanna say I really appreciate how welcoming she was. Even from my last Seattle visit two years ago, I still remember the employees being helpful and friendly here. I also have to recommend their desserts from my previous visit. (I skipped the sweets this time due to my budget but I still suggest picking up some of their sweets!). The Matcha Basque Cheesecake and the Matcha Tiramisu were both absolutely delicious, and I still remember how amazing they tasted even two years later. The tiramisu is only around $7 and is definitely worth trying if you're a matcha lover. This visit, I picked up their yuzu green tea packet to take home (last time, I got the hojicha). Each packet contains 15 individual tea bags and costs about $10 (not bad for how much tea is in each tea bag). They also sell matcha powder and other tea goodies. I'm looking forward to brewing the yuzu green tea at home since a good cup of hot tea is always comforting, especially when I'm sick (I've been recovering from a cold so tea has been a lifesaver to warm me up!). I actually stopped by for lunch since I didn't eat breakfast, and ordered the Sukiyaki Don (it was much more satisfying than I expected). I was craving a beef bowl and Nana's was one of the few places in the area within walking distance from my work, that was actually open for the holiday today, lucky me! It came with miso soup and a soft-boiled egg, and I was pleasantly surprised to find tofu and mushrooms in the bowl alongside the beef. It left me FULL, my tummy happy, heck yeah. Costs almost $20 but worth satisfying a craving. I won't lie.. I somehow managed to spend about $40 today between my meal, drink, and tea to take home. More than I intended to spend but no regrets, because everything was delicious and the quality has remained consistently high over the years. The only thing that made my visit a little uncomfortable wasn't the café itself. There were quite a few homeless individuals lingering around the front of the building, so I decided against dining out front like I had originally planned since I wanted to enjoy the nice weather, but one of them was panhandling me so I promptly left (thankfully I asked for my order to be packaged for takeout). That's obviously outside of the café's control, and it didn't affect the food or service at all. They still had many seats available inside but probably because it's the holiday. If I recall, the place was packed during the afternoon when I last visited on a weekday. I will still say that Nana's Green Tea continues to be one of my favorite matcha spots whenever I'm in Seattle. Between the consistently high-quality matcha, delicious meals and desserts, excellent selection of teas to bring home, and genuinely exemplary customer service, it's a place I'll happily keep returning to whenever I'm back in town and have the time to visit.

She had wanted to visit for a long time after hearing so many good things about it, so this was the perfect opportunity. The café itself is bright, modern, and absolutely adorable. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax over dessert with family or friends. The menu is a dream for matcha and hojicha lovers. They offer an impressive variety of parfaits, floats, frappes, and lattes, with optional additions like mochi and red beans. It took us a while to decide because everything looked tempting. My daughter and I shared the Hojicha Mochi Parfait, while my son ordered the Hojicha Float with mochi. The parfait had a rich, authentic hojicha flavor and was generously layered with chewy mochi, crunchy cereal flakes, and creamy soft serve, giving it a wonderful mix of textures. The float was equally enjoyable, with a bold roasted hojicha flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the mochi was a fun addition. The quality of the desserts was excellent, and while the prices are on the higher side, they reflect the quality of the ingredients and presentation. If you're a fan of matcha or hojicha, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Key Points: - Iconic khachapuri "bread boats"…read more- minor drawback: limited coffee customization options and only forks available The Fam and I stopped by Skalka for some breakfast/brunch before perusing the rest of Seattle during my birthday week. I saw it on a few YouTube food influencer videos and was really impressed by what I saw. The their staple is their Georgian khachapuri. They're the iconic bread "boats" filled with cheese, butter, egg, and whatever comes along the variety you ordered. TBH, I actually thought they looked like little volcanoes, which is something I figured The Little One would enjoy. What we ordered: - Stroganoff: one of the popular items listed on the yelp page. The beef was rich, succulent and comforting, with a creamy, savory filling. The pickles added a bit of bright, tangy contrast to balance the richness. - Adjaruli, the classic version with cheese, butter, and egg. To me, this seemed like the plainest version, but I figured The little One would be more likely eat this because she hates anything that resembles a sauce or toppings. Both dishes were fantastic. The bread boat sort of reminded me of a pizza crust: crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and perfect for tearing off and dipping into the cheesy center. The Little one did especially like the crust since she's a big pizza-crust fan. Surprisingly, getting her to eat the cheese and egg was tougher, as she usually likes those. I guess that's just being a kid? Inconsistent fluctuations of opinions and likings? The Mrs. and I happily finished everything she left behind. The restaurant itself is a small, casual spot with self-service kiosks for ordering and open seating. Nothing fancy, but it's efficient. We also appreciated that they had high chairs available, making it easy to visit with a child. We did see other families with kids there too. My only gripes: - once you've submitted your kiosk order, making changes isn't really possible. The staff is so busy going in and out of the kitchen, that you really don't have any opportunity to flag them down. We actually wanted to make one minor change to our order, but by the time I managed to talk to someone about it, she informed me that the order was already being made. - If you order coffee, you need to decide on cream, half-and-half, and sugar ahead of time, seemingly preset amounts. It's entirely prepared in the kitchen, not self serve, and you can't exactly customize to your liking. - Only forks were available. No spoons, no knives. Knives would have been helpful for cutting through the thicker bread crust. Those are very minor complaints, though. The food was excellent, the concept is unique, and the meal was memorable. Won't dock any points off there.

It wasn't necessarily anyone's fault, but if you order with a person this doesn't happen. Toilet is broken in restroom. But the FOOD! Was amazing. They serve only one type of dish, which is like a bread boat with cheese inside and or other filling. I got the one with spinach and cheese - it is enough for 2 ppl but I finished it on my own as a very hungry pregnant lady. We also got 2 more to go - one with beans and bacon (Lobiani) and the other with beef stroganoff. Both were delicious, although the beans & bacon one has a bit of spice. I would 100% recommend eating in person though, because everything is perfect and melty when it's fresh.

They sell themselves around being a holiday themed shop which isn't a bad thing, but when it's not the holiday season, the charm feels almost mismatched. All that to say, I love the idea, the space, and the vibes here but have often looked past it because of my perception with the branding. However, I will say their menu is great and the holiday joy is more of a supplement rather than a cover up or gimmick. I would comfortably visit Jollidaze for their drinks and get a working session. Wifi available, washroom (restrooms) available, and outlets available. Ube Phe Latte - rich, creamy, ube foam on top of a strong ca phe! There's also some ube milk, so a three layered drink. Both parts of ube were nutty, sweet, and paired with the ca phe amazingly. Strong Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk always hits but the ube mixture is a cherry on top. Up there with the other ube coffees around. Strawberry Matcha - honestly a simple no frills strawberry matcha. Smoothly whisked matcha, lightly sweetened strawberry puree, and a cup to be mixed in. Maybe more jam than other spots, which can help sweeten the drink and add some texture (chewiness), so might have to say above average.

It was a fairly…read morequiet lunch rush after 11 am, and there were a couple of people working from their laptops. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the selection of pastries, hot brunch items, and coffee drinks. The coffee tasting menu looked enticing. If I had more time to leisurely work or talk with company here, I would have opted to go this more adventurous route. However, I did end up trying one of their seasonal menu items - the Sakura Blossom Cloud Latte. I customized this drink with oat milk, even though the foam has to stay as dairy. The oat milk added a nutty creaminess that I particularly enjoyed. There were notes of the sweet Sakura syrup with a slight saltiness from the cream foam that gives the drink its perfect balance. It was a refreshing drink for a pick-me-up and they only had it for a limited time! My only thing is that I felt some coffee beans at the bottom that may not have been grinded as finely but other than that, the drink was amazing and I would recommend as a good backdrop for a spring walk!

They offer plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (note that pets are not allowed indoors). They have a great selection of hot brunch items, plus pastries and cakes. The whole place is modern and bright. The coffee tasting menu is unique, offering latte and espresso flights, and pour-overs. We tried the latte flight, which comes with four adventurous, creative flavors--including a miso latte! Overall, they were a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but very fun to try. The pour-over, however, was phenomenal: deep, rich, and full of berry notes. For food, we had: * Almond Croissant: Perfectly crispy on the outside. I loved that the filling was distributed all the way to the edges, so you get some in every single bite. * Chicken Avocado Salad: A wonderfully light meal featuring grilled chicken breast and a light dressing.
