Love this place. I've stopped by for post-book shopping drinks from next door's Elliot Bay Bookstore and have come for brunch. I highly recommend the biscuit sandwich, which is much heartier and bigger than you would think. The egg scramble is generous and is sure to complement any feeling of tipsiness you may feel with your mimosa. Oh, and they have Kombucha on tap, which is freaking awesome. LOVE KOMBUCHA ON TAP! Just be prepared to wait if you want to sit at a table. It's worth the wait though. They also have a quick service counter for small pastries and coffee by at the bar. read more

A CLS in Capitol Hill! The first time I visited, I was seated in the outdoor patio area with a friend (so charming!), and the second time I came back with my family and was seated near the front windows. I was very pleased with my meal - Both times I ordered the "Bowl of fruit with honey, mint, & nuts" -$8, along with the "Beignets with Jam" -$5. The presentation was lovely, and the food was delicious (also v affordable.) The service was great during both visits, and I was lucky to not have waited too long to be seated during either visit. My friend suggested this place for a group get together. The setup is cute: long, almost picnic, tables line the walls and middle of the floor and the kitchen is visible with the frantic rush of the cooks/chefs. It almost looked too "cool" for me...but after a family with little kids walked in, I felt at ease. I ordered the cured meats, mostarda, and crostini platter along with the fried artichoke and pepper fritters. Both were tasty. The service was great and our waiter was super patient with our group of ten. Overall, I'm not sure if this place is really my scene, so I'm not sure if I'd be back any time soon...but it's definitely a great place. read more

I've been hearing the name of this place for a few weeks now and have never been in yet, until earlier this week. Being only a few short blocks away from my home, I'm surprised I've missed this place. What a neat spot! You come in, it's a huge open dimly lit area with tables, chair, and benches. There is a candle on each table, the place isn't fancy, it's chill and comfortable. My hubby and I stopped by for a drink and we decided to split the Orzo Mac 'n Cheese...wooah! It's SO good! I was really impressed. The server was really nice, gave us a sample of the bacon beer they had on tap because I was quite curious about it. Good and interesting in flavor, just wasn't in the mood for a whole pint. They have some really good stuff on tap! When we received our check, it came with an OddFellow's postcard. It was really interesting because it has some history about the place on it and it answered my question I had earlier as to why it was named the way it was. On a recent trip to Seattle, I made a visit to my old neighborhood on Capitol Hill to find much changed since I lived there from '95-00. My friend and I had a drink at Oddfellows, which was a treat because I took acting classes in this very space, all those years ago. I have many happy memories here. I thought the decor was pretty cool, even though the seats are terribly comfortable. It felt like a European sidewalk cafe, which I liked. I ordered the Oddfellow off the drink menu -- at the recommendation of our server -- and it was fantastic! A fruity refreshing drink with bourbon. Totally unique and unexpected. We also ordered some nuts and olives, which were fantastic. My friend ordered a couple of beers and the first one came with a dirty glass which he didn't notice until he poured the beer in and bits floated up to the top. He got a new beer and a new glass but they put it on the bill anyway and he had to ask to have it taken off. The service is a bit uneven and the code for the bathroom thing is kind of a pain in the ass but overall, we had a good time. read more

Alas, I'm not in love yet. The space aesthetically is great... warm, open, inviting, comfortable. However, they seem to be having some growing pains. I went with 3 friends for brunch. 2 of the items we wanted to order were gone, so I just got a bowl of oatmeal. It was fine. It was oatmeal. My friends had breakfast sandwiches which were reasonably tasty. However, it took a very long time for them to arrive. I suspect they're just inundated with the initial rush of people and they'll hire more staff or the crowd will slow down or both and it'll take care of the wait time issue. If things are going to sell out, having a list posted of what is/isn't available would be very helpful... that way, instead of having everyone wait in a long line, get to the counter, find out what they wanted isn't there anymore and then wait while they stare at the menu indecisively to pick what their backup choice is, people could formulate their backup choice while still in line. It'd speed things up for everyone and decrease the amount of sorrow when you get all excited about eating x or y and it's gone. I'll give them another shot, perhaps for dinner. read more

Great service, our waitress was very attentive and definitely had suggestions since we were kinda out of it since we just got in from our flight a few hours prior. On the white table was a lovely plant arrangement. I poured myself a glass of water as the sun beamed down. The warm vibrant temperature flowed through with a light breeze while the awning gave me shade. The lively indoor conversations were a faint background noise. To savor my sandwich I proceeded to cut it up into small portions. Every bite was delicious. If I wasn't on a time constraint I would have stayed longer. Stopped in while visiting a friend who lives in Cap Hill. They serve breakfast until later, so if you're feeling a breakfast/brunch instead of just lunch then you're in luck! We both ordered drinks and went for one of their lunch options. I got the BLAT and my friend got the caprese sandwich. My BLAT came with TONS of bacon (which was awesome) and both the avocado & tomato were just right. My only complaint was that it had a little too much mayo. Service was good, served was friendly and attentive. The place was a little loud so if was kinda hard for my friend and I to hear each other sometimes, but that's not the fault of the restaurant. The place was brightly lit and the furniture was painted, wooden, and prarie-like. The service was an order and pay first, then get a number and put it on your table deal. Food runners would bring you your order when it was ready, including your drink. The food was good. It was light and had pretty good sized portions. Greek Salad: Quinoa, Romaine lettuce, olives, feta cheese, and tomatoes. Awesome vegetarian salad. I love quinoa. Ploughman's Lunch: Build your own sandwich one bit at a time. One of the best brunch spots I've been to in Seattle, and that's really saying something. I went with two other friends on a Saturday afternoon, which is prime brunch time so they were busy. We put our name on the waiting list which was about 45 minutes (sort of long, but like I said prime time). There are lots of interesting stores around Oddfellows, good to kill some time. Once we were finally seated I noticed the rustic decor and it had a historic vibe. Very Seattle. We started off with some beignets, and they were excellent paired with strawberry jam. My advice is to mostly eat the biscuit with the eggs and bacon and then save a little bit of the biscuit for the raspberry preserves..a little sweet kicker at the end. I first discovered Oddfellows when walking to Elliott Bay Book Co. and was intrigued by the aesthetic (think industrial Southern kitchen with reclaimed wood and rustic metal pieces). I made plans to check it out on a Wednesday night and asked to be seated in the patio out back. My waitress was attentive, friendly, accommodating and more than capable of answering all my questions about menu options. I ordered the Springtime Collins and roasted carrot and avocado salad and finished my meal with the buttermilk panna cotta. The cocktail ("vodka, lavender, lemon, kombucha") was good and light, but I couldn't really find any lavender and wish it had been just slightly less sweet. Although small, my salad was really superb: the carrots were sweet, soft and smoky, the avocado creamy, the pumpkin seeds toasty and crunchy, and the orange cumin yogurt was a good foil to the acidic vinaigrette over the greens. The panna cotta itself was tasty and a good size, but the rhubarb compote (four little slices atop the jiggly dish) completely caught me off guard. It still held on to a lot of the tart taste and crunch of a raw piece of rhubarb. I stuck around for a while, reading and just enjoying the patio, which my waitress encouraged. Although a bit pricey, I had a really enjoyable experience and would absolutely come back to try other menus. read more

I've seen this place all over instagram, so I decided to give it a try. I stopped by during happy hour with a friend and I thought it was just okay. They only serve the happy hour menu during happy hour (3-5?) and you have VERY limited option of food. My friend and I ordered an 8oz latte and a 12oz vanilla latte which came out to be ~$10 before tip! That is pretty pricey just for coffee, and to be honest it was nothing spectacular. The atmosphere was great, the cafe itself is very cute. It was not crowded at all around the time we went (3:30-4:30). I hope I can stop by this place when they are serving the actual menu. read more

I came here for brunch with my grandpa on a Saturday morning. When we checked in they said to expect a 30 min wait, but we only had to wait 15 mins for our table. Everything on their menu sounded really good so it was hard for the both of us to decided. However, we both ended up ordering their homemade biscuits with eggs.
