First off I must comment on the vibes - this place is gorgeously creepy! You gotta love the work they put into the walls, ceiling, bathroom and outdoors! Absolutely beautiful and oddly creepy art everywhere. The ceiling with the hanged leprechaun and head of a rabbit and girl really take the creepy odd vibes home haha. I tried the tumeric ginger tea - I really enjoyed the punch of tumeric and ginger to my mouth. The balance was just right and flavorful to me. I'd soooo get this again! The lemonade coffee was odd to me - not my cup of a drink. The latte drink was a bit heavy on the bitterness for me but coffee lovers will enjoy it. The staff was friendly and odd as well - very fitting for the theme! I give it 5 stars because the vibes blew me out the water.
My friend sent me a read ahead of places to try while I was in KC and he was otherwise occupied and actually had a work vendor who lives in KC and Oddly Correct was on both their list. The coffee didn't call to me (not a coffee fan) but homemade biscuits? Limited batches? I'm sure I could find a non-coffee drink. I got there a little before 930 in the morning, took a look at how busy outside it was and hoped that there were still some biscuits left. When it was my turn to order that was the firs thing I asked was if there were any biscuits left and there was. I was honestly not sure of my next move, so I asked for some help. The person behind the counter said that the build your own option was popular and whatever I add to make sure pimento cheese was on it-since it was almost out. Great, let's do that with egg and sausage. I was looking at the teas but...bourbon vanilla latte? I asked again, is that for real or is it mostly just vanilla? I was assured actual bourbon was used in the syrup. I admitted that I'm not a coffee fan so I'd again follow her lead. She said she likes it with Oat Milk and then asked if I wanted a reusable/refillable glass. I said sure why not, it's a little souvenir. I found a nice seat, plugged in, logged into their wifi and my sandwich came to me, stacked. The pimento cheese was as described piled high that boosted a little spice of the sausage and the smoothness of the egg. The bourbon vanilla latte was friggin delicious! If I lived in KC I'd definitely be a regular coffee drinker for sure? Proof? I finished my drink then got up to get a refill the same visit-jitters be damned!
Finally got to check Oddly Correct off the list of coffee shops to try in KC! We got a breakfast sandwich and the vanilla bourbon latte and both were delicious. My fiancé got the hot cake sandwich which was okay but texture-wise wasn't my thing, but I loved my biscuit. The coffee was incredible and I can't wait to bring my jar back to get it discounted next time. The line was long but moved along pretty fast. Seating was fairly limited for a busy day but could see this being a good place to get some work done remotely and they had some picnic tables for outdoor seating. Pricey but worth it on a special occasion weekend outing!
I was dragging on the morning that I stopped in and Yelp had told me that this coffee shop was right around that corner from where I had to work that morning. I wish I had more time to stay and eat and drink my coffee, but I grabbed an Iced Latte and muffin to go. I was a bit confused when my order was ready and they gave me a glass jar, lid and koozie with their lab on it. When I asked I was told to help prevent landfill that is what they use as the togo cups. Such a cool Idea not only to help reduce trash but I will definitely remember it. My coffee was good and so was the muffin, I need to stop in here when I have more time.
I was finally able to try a biscuit sandwich from Oddly Correct! On the weekends, Oddly is packed wall to wall, and they sell out of their handmade flaky biscuits early in the day. On a weekday, there was plenty of seating and plenty of biscuits to be had. They have a build-your-own biscuit menu with topping options like sausage, cheese curds, jam, and bacon. Highly recommend cheese curd. The biscuits are so crumbly and flaky that this is definitely a knife and fork sandwich experience (silverware available by the water/busing station). Oddly Correct is known for their coffee but they have caffeine free options like their turmeric tea available too. I love their unique science-y drink set up if you decide to stay in for your beverage. Their to-go coffees are served in reusable glass jars! Super sustainable. The service was quick and friendly! Plenty of street parking on a weekday, but expect to walk a bit on the weekends.
This spot is currently in my #2 spot for coffee of all of KC (hefty list, so this means a lot). I love how they don't use landfill items and everything is glass. Not only is the coffee so smooth and delicious that you'll have a hard time not keep ordering more, but I also got the biscuit where you can add your ingredients that you'd want and it was the perfect mix of tasting homemade and perfect. I got the biscuit with bacon, egg and cheese and it was fantastic. The bacon was thick and cooked perfect. The biscuit was a great mix of flakey. The space is good sized, but it can fill out fast and it was cool to see all of the old printer pieces too. Beautiful, airy place filled with plants so it feels like a breath of fresh air. The employees are super kind and helpful. I highly recommend!
I am very picky about my coffee and I loved their vanilla bourbon iced latte!! Perfect amount of sweetness/espresso flavor. Seems like you only get one of those jars/koozies with to-go orders. Place has a good vibe!
Instagram made us do the trek to Oddly Correct to try their famous breakfast sandwiches. This place was so cute! Loved the outside paint on the building. The inside was spacious and had a lot of light coming in. Also good decor. Lots of merch and other goodies to shop for. I got an iced chai latte, which is some of the best I have ever tried. My boyfriend got a rosella tea, which was also good. Now onto the real stuff - the biscuits. The Hotcakes Sandwich was surprisingly good. I didn't know what the expect but it was a nice portion with overall good flavor. Build your own biscuit option was also good. Everything was hot and freshly made. Outdoor seating area was large but could use some shade and maybe even some comfortable lounge area. Private lot and street parking.
Loved this cool little coffee shop! We ate outside on the picnic tables. After ordering, they gave us a table number and they brought our food and drinks out to us. For eats we ordered: bacon biscuit with cheese curds, plain sausage biscuit, also, sausage biscuit with egg, cheese curds and orange marmalade. My Americano with macadamia milk was served "to go" (I requested that) in a little jar that I can return with for refills.
I haven't updated my review since they moved to their newer location on Troost (they were formerly on the edge of Main St. on Westport). It's a big improvement overall! The most recent morning in, it was 20 degrees so naturally no one is lingering out on their gigantic patio, but you can imagine during the warmer months it's a nice place to set up. One thing about this coffee company is that they continually find a way to humble me and remember how uncool I am. They have two counters set up, and I chose the wrong one. I got my coffee to go and when the barista started filling up a glass jar I reminded her it was "to-go" which she sort of rolled her eyes like, "I know dude, this is our to-go cup" energy. First time I've ever seen it, a gentle explanation would suffice. Definitely some of those too-cool-for-school vibes here, but dammit if the coffee doesn't hit every single time. It's so good. I love black coffee and their drip coffee is on par with a quality pour over elsewhere. They roast it beautifully and have it down to a science. I'll go here occasionally for the great coffee, and take some beans home for special occasions. Not an everyday coffeeshop for me and would love some warmer, more welcoming vibes more consistently from this place.
I found this place when I was visiting Kansas City on my own for the first time and needed some good coffee. Specialty coffee lovers in Kansas City, this is going to be your go-to cafe and roastery! I visited in June 2024 and have been back several times throughout 2024. They have single origin pourovers, multiple different milk coffee drinks, a variety of teas, and black tea drinks like chai and london fog. I've tried their Ethiopian and Kenyan pourovers, the latte, and london fog. All have been good but the london fog was phenomenal, best one I've ever had! Pourovers were balanced and enjoyable, and latte was nutty and chocolatey. I've tried some food items too, like the breakfast biscuit, blueberry coffee cake, hojicha chocolate chip cookie, matcha macaroon, and a strawberry shortcake muffin. They were all good, nothing amazing but a nice snack after your coffee for sure. When it comes to just the drinks and food, I would probably rate it 4-4.5 stars. Everything is solid. But based on the good vibes, I would bump it up to 5. The shop feels so welcoming and quirky down to the artwork and interior, and the customer service is friendly. You can even watch the roasting happen if you're sitting at the high chairs in the back of the shop. A great place to go when you're in downtown KC and you wanna feel comforted. That's certainly what I do! PS: One thing I would like to see from Oddly is more descriptive notes about the single origin beans in general. Notes like "nutty" "clean" "silky" etc are fine but it would be awesome to get more specific notes to figure out whether it's something that I'd want to try like what kind of fruit or what kind of nut.
Incredible! I really enjoyed this place. They have so many decaf options including cold brew which nobody usually has! I got a decaf bourbon vanilla latte with oat milk, and the sausage jalapeño artichoke biscuit, and split a donut with my husband. The coffee was divine. So, so delicious. The breakfast sandwich was amazing. It wasn't spicy but it was so good. The donut was fascinating. It had a weird texture for a donut, almost angel food cake like? Sort of like soft and chewy, but it was probably the best donut I've ever had. My husband got the hot cake sandwich and wouldn't even let me try it because it was too good lol. Everything here was top notch. I'd definitely come back!

I LOVE this new location! A huge and roomy upgrade to their currently location. Oddly Correct is just all together a really incredible company and one that should have support! They truly care about their team members which shows by the way the treat and pay their talented baristas, they care about social issues, they have taken time to be conscientious about their decisions as a business in regards to environmental impacts that they have as business with programs such as their glass reuse program! If your looking for a really awesome small business to support then definitely add this to your list. read more

My visit turned out to be a little longer than I had intended because it started to snow! But I was disappointed! I was glad to stay because the seasonal latte I ordered was really good! It was a little on the sweeter side than I like (rum-kin spice) but still very good. One of the main reasons why I love Oddly so much is simply just for who they are and what they stand for. They are so passionate about coffee, about their employees, and about the sustainability. They are also great providing the public with access to all of those things through happy baristas, and their new glass jar to-go cups to eliminate waste! They also provide an INSANE amount of education via their Instagram. I love following along just because I always feel so schooled (for all of the right reasons) on coffee and how things are and/or should be. I love it. Out of the ~13 hole-in-the-wall coffee shops I've tried in KC, I can confidently proclaim that Oddly Correct servers the best Iced Mocha in town. Get here early and pick up a warm biscuit while you're at it, the strawberry jam is tasty. read more

I was only in town for a couple of days, but I made sure to come in every morning. The biscuits are out of this world, but what I fell in love with is their homemade chai (which is elevated only by getting a shot of espresso) and their mocha. I also really appreciate that they are earth friendly by having reusable jars instead of wasteful to go cups. read more
Finally made it to this location and we were still happy. I love that they have chosen to make biscuits their speciality food focus. We have a-lot of great coffee in KC and a lot of great food. I think picking one thing to really focus on makes you stand out and Oddly Correct does just that with their biscuits and already famous coffee. They serve the standard sizes as a cafe in Europe would so do not expect your 16 ounce and above. Although I brought my own 16 ounce cup in and it was filled to the top with my delicious cafe au lait. My husband asked for a double cold brew and the happily poured that as well. The do not have almond milk but they do carry oat as their milk alternative. I also would recommend letting your cold brew settle for a minute before diving in. It is a tad acidic at first but then perfection. The biscuits are flakey yet firm and do not fall apart once filled. They are warm and heavenly. My mouth is watering thinking of these with gravy. I stuck with just egg so I could really taste the biscuit. The egg was cooked through. Husband had the bacon and egg. The bacon was crisp and lean. They also carry Hana's famous donuts and they offer a vegan cinnamon roll that looks to be made with the biscuit dough.... so I am assuming house made as well. I did not get the hipster "put off" vibe at all unless trendy clothing and tattoos scare you. I am 40 and live in Johnson County and had our toddler. I felt welcomed and nothing but great vibes, great people and a great ambiance. I will say the music is very loud but it isn't obtrusive and really it isn't that hard to hear everyone at the table. They do have a couple small tables outside if that isn't your thing. We cannot wait to go back and try the cinnamon rolls. Side note...I did not see high chairs for those with tots. read more

Oddly Correct is a trendy little coffee shop but don't think the vibe of the place is all they have going for them. I had great service and the two workers were so friendly and quick to fix up my order. I order the Vanilla Bourbon Latte (which I cannot recommend enough) and a cake donut. From the service to the coffee/food to the atmosphere, I really loved this place and want to go back and try more of the menu! read more

Oddly is one of my favorite coffee shops because quality, service, and experience are all top tier. One of my go-to drinks here is the vanilla bourbon latte-it is the perfect combo of sweet and strong with hints of bourbon that pair perfectly with the vanilla aroma. The coffee and espresso itself is unbelievably smooth and the house-made flavors are so unique and flavorful. The atmosphere and aroma are so open and inviting, making you want to just stay and sip on your coffee. Baristas are so nice and good at what they do, too. SERVICE Since their hours are so limited, my husband and I made the schlep here from Lawrence on a Tuesday evening. We finally made it about 15 minutes before they closed. We recently bought our first manual espresso machine and I had been itching to try Bad Dog after having its sibling, Good Boy, at various spots in Lawrence (which was one of the best espressos I had ever had). The barista overheard us checking roast dates and said, "I think we have some bad dog that was roasted today-- I'll run over and grab some for you. Is there another bean you want too?" Then she proceeded to go to the roasting side (leave the store) & get the beans for us-- we would've never asked for that! She was also patient with fielding my questions even though we got there right before closing. She was super duper nice and made incredible drinks-- what else could we ask for? DRINKS My husband ordered straight espresso and I ordered the cappuccino chai. It may seem like a small detail but they served their espresso with club soda which makes all coffee drinking much better. Their house-made (!!) chai has peppercorn and orange zest... I'm definitely not cool enough to be here! And you know what else--- IT WAS DELICIOUS. It was like dirty chai up front, dreamsicle in the back. I know that doesn't SOUND delicious but it was, I promise! The foam was perfect too! I try to order the special flavored thing each house makes and my husband orders a traditional espresso based beverage. It shows their skill and then the creativity. They excelled in both. ATMOSPHERE We walked in and bam: I immediately don't feel cool enough to be here. That may have something to do with the giant painted octopus on the brick wall-- I'm not sure. Unique vibe and friendly staff and great drinks! The space is on a smaller side and it doesn't have many tables. However the space does have quite a bit of seats available in the form of bar tables and stools. They also sell their coffee, so come and try it and then buy or subscribe to their coffee! Really unique space to sit down and enjoy some delicious coffee. read more
Oddly Correct had a fun vibe inside and some unique coffees as well. I tried the hoppy bottled cold brew which tasted strangely similar to an IPA. There wasn't really anything that made Oddly Correct stand out to me, but it's still another solid coffee shop in KC! read more

Love this place!!! Brewed perfectly, immaculately balanced. The perfect home for the coffee purist. The place is lively and upbeat and on nice days gets amazing natural light with a view of busy Main Street, but it's all good inside. Each brew is done exceptionally and leaves nothing wanting. Absolutely fantastic little place! Perfect location and the staff is incredibly friendly! Very hipster. But, a much more welcoming feel than many hipster places. Hard to describe. Almost hipster and comforting at the same time. The folks who work there are super patient. Friendly. Open to questions and very accommodating. Awesome music selection too! I was working remotely today and got to listen to almost the enter new Drab Majesty album. A complete plus!!! They have shirts and bags of beans to go. They also do coffee memberships. Went on a Friday morning & It was hopping! Very cool place & nice barista. Unfortunately there was not an open spot to get work done so I got my latte to go (one of the best I've had) that comes with a jar & coozie you can bring back to be refilled, swapped out, or returned for your deposit back. Would definitely recommend drink wise! read more

Oddly correct is oddly satisfying. Right on the corner by CVS on main, close to Westport/ plaza. Open seating but it's quite limited. Their iced vanilla bourbon latte is so yummy! Has a nice kick and it's different, and I love different! You can grab a drink and walk up to Westport. Parking are on the sides. read more
These folks know what they're doing with coffee. They have oat milk. They take pride in their work. It's a bit of a smaller place, so don't come with 8 of your friends expecting a spot. Community seating. Excellent espresso and pour overs. A little pricey. Very hipster. read more

We have bags of coffee ready to grab any time on our shelves! No pre-ordering necessary, just walk in and grab a bag or ask a barista for assistance or a recommendation.
Is there a menu posted anywhere? I can't seem to find one on their website or on here. Really want to try, I'd just like to see a menu to browse my options first!
