Small shop on the corner of an odd 3 store strip mall. The 2 shops next to it weren't open. Got a regular latte, which was good. Didn't see their Xmas seasonal menu, otherwise I would've tried their gingerbread seasonal drink. The salmon toast was tasty. Got 2 bags of whole beans as well ( they don't have decaf whole beans ). Since they were closing up as I got my bags, they gave me 2 drip coffees for free. Which was really nice. Haven't tried the whole beans yet. But the packaging was cute. read more

Consistently excellent espresso drinks. Also had one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever tasted here. The horchata latte is bomb-not too sweet. Not sure about other pastries as I haven't tasted any others. Parking can be a struggle-I sometimes park in the Kinecta/Aldi lot and then walk over so I don't deal with the small-ish and usually packed lot. It is a tiny place so it's fine for small group but place fills up quickly with folks getting their to-go orders. Cool ambiance and modern aesthetic. Not really a study friendly vibe. read more

I ordered a lavender almond milk latte and my bf ordered a coconut vanilla latte. I could tell by the color before I even took a sip, that it wasn't going to be good. The coffee flavor was weak, I felt like I was mainly drinking milk with syrup. The staff should work on the milk to espresso ratio and learn how to make proper espresso drinks. I was excited to try this spot, but was greatly disappointed. Such a waste of time and money. read more

Nice coffee spot in south bay (Torrance) area. Small cafe with 2 tables indoors and a few outdoors. The staff were friendly and service was very quick. Got some lovely drinks (cap and latte) and enjoyed them indoors with the festive decor all around. To get the wifi, one must ask for the Wifi from the baristas as there are no signage posted for the wifi password. Offset has a dedicated parking lot with ample spaces so no need to fret on parking around the area. Will recommend this cafe spot to yelpers! read more

Now I have been going here since... see previous review. I was even happily supporting this business during the pandemic and even today I got a rose latte and another with macadamia and an avocado toast and all of that was very wonderful and i enjoyed it. But the service has been inconsistent. For example, the guy who took my order today was a gentleman and he was friendly and had a wonderful attitude. But, in general some of the ladies working there have really bad attitudes. I don't want to name names (nor will I), but they wont even acknowledge you when you come in, they wont say hi or how are you. I felt so awkward the last few times i went in. I had to resort to mobile order to avoid going to the cashier. I thought it was just me, but a couple yelpers echoed my concerns. Its hard to give this place 3 stars after recommending this to so many people, including friends and family. But since the last review, there are multiple coffee shops in the area that have opened with consistent friendlier service. I don't know. read more

Offset is a cute coffee shop in Torrance that is very easy to get to. They have their own parking lot that is free and unlimited time parking. It is a great place to study or do some work and they do have wifi. They don't have too many tables inside but they do have an outdoor patio. All the tables inside are also within reach of an outlet. The baristas are super friendly and they also have a seasonal fall menu! I got their cinnamon latte, I don't like super sweet coffee and this latte was not too sweet at all, it also had the perfect amount of cinnamon. I recommend checking this place out! read more

Offset's pretty much my go-to for the last few years. When Offset first started, they had a rotating supplier and it was actually really fun to try out the different beans and some were great, while some were a miss. However ever since they started roasting their own beans, I've found their offerings to be very good and consistent. You know what you are getting everything you order. While it was fun trying out different roasters, I think it's even better now. Huge fan of the breakfast items, esepcially the egg & bacon biscuit. Egg salad toast is a close second! On the weekends it can definitely sell out so be sure to go a bit early. Ordering online is easy and a really great addition. read more

As an ex Starbucks partner turned home barista, I love to check out less commercialized coffee. I've had my eye on this place for a while. Consistently great reviews all around, but they're only open 7 am to 5 pm, which is when I'm normally at work. Fortunately, today I had a short day, so I could kill a little time here while I waited for traffic to die down. I was pleasantly surprised. The vanilla nitro cold brew was super smooth. Nothing was overpowering, not the coffee, milk, or vanilla syrup. It was a pleasure to sip. I sat here for 30 minutes enjoying the small dining area. It's clean and bright on the inside, and the staff are very pleasant to everyone coming in. 10/10 coming again if I'm around during operating hours. Came here based off other reviews raving about the drinks and food. I ordered the lavender matcha latte which was very watered down and barely tasted of matcha or lavender. It was essentially just milk. It was also quite expensive for the drink I received and was definitely not worth it. I can only base my review off my order but my friend mentioned that her americano was very good so maybe I'll have to try the coffee instead. The coffee here is pretty good. So an A for coffee. The interior is clean and minimal. Pretty small but they have a long outdoor bench and counter. I was in the neighborhood for work and was looking for a local coffee shop to get some work done when I found Offset. It seemed like a nice enough coffee shop and had good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. Service was great but the coffee was okay (I didn't get a chance to try the food). What's warranting this one-star review is the fact that the AC was BROKEN and it was getting unbearably hot inside the coffee shop. I tried moving tables thinking it was where I was sitting, but it didn't matter - it was hot EVERYWHERE inside the coffee shop. I ended up leaving after 20 minutes when I planned on staying a couple hours to get another coffee and grab a bite to eat. Very unfortunate that the AC was broken and I couldn't enjoy my time at Offset. read more

CUTE coffee shop in a small lot with a nice view of Palos Verdes. It's small inside but super clean and I like the aesthetic. There are a few seats outside and the view of Palos Verdes makes it a nice spot to chill at. I tried their lavender latte and it definitely had a different taste than other coffee shops that I've tried this latte at. I came here not too long ago to try out a new cafe during finals week. Normally I'm not much of coffee drinker, but I did notice that Offset Coffee does have a somewhat wide menu that expands into teas and other drinks. I had the Matcha Passion Milk Tea that is part of the seasonal off menu, and the Salmon Lox. The Matcha Passion was very a milky tea with hints of matcha and lavender. I personally would've liked a bit of a stronger matcha flavor but it was still good. The lavender is also very light. The Salmon Lox was really good. The sourdough was very crunchy and nice. The dish overall was very refreshing and light. I enjoyed the Lox a bit more than I did the tea, both were fairly good. The cafe itself is very small, but decorated nicely. There were only two tables and a barstool seating area. Parking is also really small as well. read more

TLDR: convenient location, good coffee, stable wifi, small space. First off, open till 5 pm. Mega pro in my book. More coffee shops need to stay open till 5-7 pm! Second, coffee was good. I got an iced americano and asked for a dash of oat milk, which they forgot to do, but I didn't say anything cuz the espresso tasted pretty good on its own. Fairly priced. 12 oz iced americano cost $3.75 plus tax. They had a place to stand and work, which is another major pro. I think the one thing to know is there is very limited indoor seating (fairly small space), which on a Wednesday afternoon wasn't a problem. But I could see it getting crowded on a weekend? Good amount of outdoor seating but it's on Crenshaw so pretty noisy/not cute. Employees were so nice, and wifi worked well for me! Would return fo sho. read more

Offset has been around for a few years now, but I remember being so struck by the realization that there hadn't been any legit coffee shops in the area until Offset arrived. Their coffee is always so good and really made with so much care and craft. You literally cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. (I LOVE their pumpkin spice latte. I wait with anticipation for fall each year) While not as conducive a space for studying since the shop is on the smaller size, it is a great place for catching up with friends! The guy helping out wasn't very friendly or helpful with us and when we sat down it just felt like we had to rush to get out of there because we didn't feel comfortable. The barista recommended lavender syrup instead of simple syrup to sweeten my tea and it was DELICIOUS! Service was fast and nice, there appear to be plenty of outlets and a couple tables inside even though the place is fairly small! This review is for the Offset on Crenshaw Blvd in Torrance, the first of their stores. I was really excited when this store opened. Now I'm back after being away for a while, and what is going on??? The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. It smells like urine. The urinal is dirty. The floor is dirty and the toilet brushes are full of poop!!! They used to play nice music here but the speaker is now broken and rattling. It sounds terrible. As I sit and drink my flat white, I swear I can still smell urine from the bathroom. The paint of the wall behind me is all scuffed and dirty and the coffee just isn't the same. Tastes watery. This used to be a nice coffee place but it has really taken a dive. I won't be going here anymore. If they can't clean the bathroom, you kinda wonder about the food prep and everything else. Yikes. read more

My first visit here was a good visit. They have a table set up outside for ordering, but I ordered through a food delivery service. They mentioned at pick-up that you can order directly through their website. I got the matcha latte which has 2oz matcha and 10oz of milk. It was simple and good, if you like matcha that is. They also have the seasonal drinks, so I tried the mint mojito, a tribute to the infamous Philz drink. The mint and brown sugar-infused latte is both sweet and refreshing. Their home brewed Nitro & Cold Brew tastes wonderful! The Nitro is velvety and smooth; meanwhile, the cold brew has a sweet after taste. Unfortunately, the Macadamia Capp & the Cortado did not do it for my BF and I, in which we venture to find espressos for him. They also have Guatemala, Ethiopia, etc. drips in rotation. After a few months, if there is a positive response, gather more images from the artist and sell as a coloring book at your coffee houses.
