Turnaround time could have been better, but I get it. Each item takes time to prepare, as I don't believe everything is sitting in the back ready to serve. Orders can be too diverse for that model to work well. I felt that items I ordered were prepared when ordered and everything was good. I could have stayed for hours! I do apologize. I had several courses and I'm not sure what was what. But trust me, as a person who absolutely loves sashimi, I was impressed. Any place that does sashimi well is doing things right. And dessert! Let me start out my review by applauding the excellent service provided by Amy(in training) and Julie today. Both were pleasant, attentive, and cheerful during our meal. 5 stars for service. Really disappointed to see what this restaurant has become. We've dined here since they opened, typically 1-2 times a month. We were not surprised to see prices increase with inflation. Even with the increase the quality of the food remained. That seems to have gone too. When ordering the AYCE lunch sushi (that has raised several dollars over time) we had stalks of broccoli so large that the tempura batter couldn't cook properly and you would struggle to eat it with chopsticks. Not a clue what happened to our rolls but they weren't constructed properly as they fell apart. It appeared they used too much rice and the seaweed wrapper didn't make contact to seal. We got the all you can eat lunch option which was $18.95 and so worth it!!! We got to try so many different varieties of appetizers and rolls! I love how the appetizers come out in small servings so that you aren't wasteful of food! We did family style so we tried pretty much every roll that we could. There was 8 of us at the table, so doing family style so you don't waste rolls while getting to try everything is super ideal! I have been here multiple times and forget to always leave a review almost every time. (If that doesn't already tell you where this review going, I don't know what will). Oh man, this place isn't really consistent. Some days the sushi's would be fresh and smooth and then there are days where the sushi is just straight not ok. The rolls are not really creative and most of them are overstuffed with cream cheese. This last visit I had recently seemed okay until I went home and experienced stomach bug like symptoms. I was constantly in the restroom for two days after eating here. Originally this was going to be a 3 stars review because the place is just average and on some days, it can be really good! TLDR: order from the a-la-carte menu. good range of roll options, though they are small and mostly bland. Several appetizers as well. ----- We let our server know we were vegan right away when she came to get our drink order, and she brought us the a-la-carte menu, knowing all-you-can-eat menu wouldn't have much for us (and would be cheaper for veg sushi a la carte). She also let us know she could have fried rice made without egg. There was a vegetable-based sushi section and a few vegan appetizers. We ordered: -Vegetable roll (large, contain cucumber, asparagus, avocado) -Cucumber avocado roll (didn't realize we essentially ordered it already above) -Oshinko roll (pickled Radish) -Tempura sweet potato roll (no eel sauce) We also ordered tofu miso soup and the eggless fried rice. Jackie, the lady picture, gave the absolute worst service an industry person could give bringing out cold soup and a Starry with no syrup in it. She was rushing through not attentive and then said that we came in at closing with "a shitty demeanor." How management allows this to happen is beyond me. If I could give less than 1 star I would solely based on Jackie. Congrats on being the ye worst service employee I've had in 42 years of life. For reference, this is my only negative review on Yelp.
