Oko! Love the decor. I've heard of these kind of 2D decor... but the first time seeing it in person. Ordered the following. Taro milk tea - Good. Standard fare taro milk tea. Tastes as expected. Got with boba, and the boba was well made. Matcha green tea - Good. Again taste as expected. Nothing crazy exceptional but good. Passionfruit peach oolong tea - idea sounded good but I'm wondering if someone forgot to put the sugar. I ordered 25% sugar (my standard) but this felt like no sugar was added so it tasted super watery. I'm hoping it was some kind of mistake bc it was way off. The other two drinks were fine. The taro milk tea was at 25% too and tasted fine. So to summarize. Cool decor. Decent drinks. One big mistake. read more

Been to this place before they did this full makeover and I must say this is a nice go to boba spot In Gardena. I love the concept that you can custom your drink with any flavors that you want . I forgot to take a picture of mines and my husband's drinks but I got two drinks 1 was black tea with mango , watermelon and strawberries the other one was black tea with pineapple mango and peach . Both were really good . The service was really nice and helpful I wish they had crystal boba but that's ok . Will be back again read more

Interesting concept. I got all sumo sizes.! The OD scared me a bit soo I decided to go one size down. They do have alternative milk such as oats milk for the dairy free option. Drinks: signature milk tea w/boba and substitute milk w/ oats milk, signature milk tea w/ boba and Thai milk tea w/ boba. All 100 sweets. Next time I'll go with 75% sweet. The drinks are on the sweeter side. Its perfect for individual with a sweet tooth! read more

The reviews all said not to get the drinks, so I got the strawberry Sando. It was so delicious! Just the right amount of sweet, it was almost like a thicker strawberry yogurt filling with strawberries inside of it. I personally think it's cute, with a nice theme and a wish tree! I just wish there was more selection. read more

I ordered OD size and paid extra boba ( written as 2xB) but look how much boba is on it? Barely! Even ask the staff and she confirmed it's already extra boba! Imagine if I didn't pay for extra boba??? So sad! read more

With so many boba spots in Gardena, you gotta differentiate yourself somehow and Oko Cafe serves nothing but mini boba. Their regular boba is their mini boba so you might be in for a surprise if you just want regular boba. I'm personally not that big of a mini boba fan but they have other toppings to suit your style. I got the Okinawa brown sugar milk tea and thought it was good. I appreciate the number options for cup sizes. It might even be worthwhile to get the super large size and share it with someone if you want the same flavor. You can even mix a couple flavors if you're feeling adventurous. With so many different combinations and sizes to choose from, Oko Cafe does a good job of making the experience to your liking. I just wish they had regular boba. read more

Ordered Thai milk tea, Okinawa milk tea and plum tea. The milk teas were hard to drink because they both have after taste of Coffee Mate creamer. The plum tea was very tarty and less plum like. The larger sizes offered were a red flag for us as the drinks were very cheap price wise. We didn't try the signature drinks, in which is probably better than the milk teas. I don't recommend the milk teas unless you like coffee mate flavor. read more

This is a fun place to have Boba. They have outdoor seating, and they are open late at night. They have this sumo-size Boba and two other sizes to choose from. You can customize your Boba the way you like it. They also offer non-dairy for your drink or for your Boba. Plenty of parking spaces. read more

I've been a regular at Oko since I was in middle school!! It's a nicely decorated and welcoming boba shop with a huge variety of great drinks, like milk tea, slush, etc. One of the things I love about Oko is the atmosphere. It's the perfect place to hang out with friends. My friends and I often pick this place as a hangout spot when we're in town to catch up! The decor is black and white like a cartoon, which adds a really fun and playful touch and makes it perfect for photos. I love all the drinks here! I've tried tons of different milk teas and slush drinks. My favorite drink is the vanilla milk tea at 25% sweetness with boba. I appreciate that you can adjust the sweetness level to your preference. The service has also consistently been great. It's never too long of a wait. I highly recommend checking out Oko if you're in town. Super cute decor, great atmosphere, and amazing boba drinks! read more

Okay, wow, have never reviewed this place after coming a gazillion times. They have lots of drink options (boba, smoothies, slushies, etc), and have updated their interior and exterior spaces. Very nice service. Also, it is situated in a plaza with lots to see - there's a BookOff, Tokyo Central, -8c rolled ice cream, and other drinks and eateries. Enjoy! read more

Such a great late night boba shop! Love the theme/vibes here. I visited with friends and was surprised to see how many options they had on their menu! I enjoyed a Oolong milk tea with matcha and boba. My friend let me know that the drinks are on the sweeter side here, so I adjusted the sweetness to 25% for my drink, and it was still decently sweet but I liked it. Definitely visiting again soon! read more

Really cute when first walking in, outside had table and chairs w the same 2D cafe look. The interior is 2D themed all around. They have lot of Valentine's decorations and little promotions. They have "buy 2 drinks and get a free"LOVE" straw caps" . And a 50% off on apparel and off the glow light bulbs. There's a "Moshi Moshi" pop up which I think may just be a change in the name from Oko to that but not 100% sure. They are selling Moshi fresh flower fruit sandwiches/ fruit sandos. I only saw strawberry flavor when I went during a non-busy hour, not sure if they sell other fruit sandos or if its not available yet. They have self order kiosks, or you could go to the cashier. The service was good, the girl helping me was sweet. I went when it seemed to be slow so I am not sure about how it would be when busy. The drink I got was strawberry matcha latte with the Okinawa brown sugar boba, sweetness and ice levels were unadjusted. It was really good, and everything seems to be made fresh on the spot. The brown sugar boba and strawberry they put in made the drink the perfect level of sweetness. Wasn't too bitter or super sweet. The fruit sandwich was fresh and yummy. It was worth the $5 and they had big strawberries. The milk bread I believe is what they used was good and dense. read more

I love a themed cafe perfect for IG and a treat for your eyes (: not sure if I can find a cafe thats painted like this elsewhere! I got a iced matcha latte which was okay, nothing special. Just typical of your regular matcha latte! They also serve some taiyaki but we were too full from lunch. I would definitely return to show this cafe's asethetics to someone else! read more

I ended up coming here randomly with some friends after dinner. The interior looked pretty cool, but there is not inside seating at the moment. There were a few tables outside though. This place takes contactless ordering/paying seriously. You order through a microphone and you put your payment into a basket. All transactions and drinks are made in the back away from us. My husband and I tried their mojito drinks. It's pretty much club soda with fruit flavoring. We didn't have high hopes, but the drinks were really good and flavorful. Their syrup is not overly sweet, and it was very tasty. I will probably try their brown sugar drink next time. I was informed they use actual Okinawan brown sugar. read more

Color me happy! Many years ago I visited Oko Cafe and had a not so happy experience. Fast forward to today and Oko Cafe has totally changed and revamped! Oko Cafe now has a whole new unique look. They have a black and white theme. It feels like you are in giant coloring book when you walk in. The tables, wall decor and even the piano has the black marker outline. It's really neat. I even personally saw the cafe manager drawing the decor and cutting up the cardboard. It looks they rotate the themes occasionally. What really attracted me to going here though was they just had a Hello Kitty 45th anniversary theme going complete with large Hello Kitty bows and Kitty faces (Unfortunately they took down most of the decor to make room for the next them which is currently a pirate/tokidoki. Hint for my fellow Hello Kitty fans: they still have some Hello Kitty decor near the bathroom.) To go along with the neat themes; they've got some cool foam art too. Similar to latte art; they have different images that they can put on any of the foam drinks. They've got a ton of designs including K-pop, Disney, Gudetama and Hello Kitty! I of course chose....Hello Kitty ;). Color me happy...I love the coloring book feel and black and white drawing look. I also love their creative foam art! I am happy to say Oko Cafe is now A-OK in my book ;). read more

It's safe to say this may be my favorite Bobba Spot!! I found this place on Yelp tonight and the first thing that caught my eye was the theme (yup that really caught my eye, righhttt). The theme is literally from a story tale, it's as if someone went inside the store to draw the chairs and table ( pretty awesome) Today I had their amazing tea ( mango, mint and ginger). I'm usually more of a fruit sweet type of guy. So I added their jelly mango. WoW!!! It was delicious, right amount of sweet (50%), and pretty big ( super plus) size for the value for only 4.50 (right! Cheaper than Starbucks lol). I'm sure I'm the only one bragging about their cups, but they have awesome cups hahah. Their reusable (go green) and have a zip and a straw side. Thought that was pretty cool design. Customer service was great!! The girl taking my order was super patient as I had selected my item off of a yelp review. During Covid 19 they take their orders 6 feet for both the client safety and their own. You have to wait outside and wait for your number to be called out. I do recommend to place your order online, it looks like many people use that system so they waited little to not time. read more

PROS: - HUGE parking lot. You shouldn't have any problem finding parking here. - Very unique way of ordering. You use a karaoke mic, connected to a speaker system, to communicate with the employees who are standing about 10 ft away from you. I'm not sure if this is how they're dealing with COVID protocols or if this is business as usual lol, but I like it! - I had their mojito with club soda with blue curacao and lemon... it was super delicious! I had low expectations, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. - Employees are very cordial, informative, and friendly. My family's favorite! Usually come on party days and buy a bunch of milk teas in the OD size and bring them home to share with all my aunts and uncles. Also fun to go with cousins and/or friends and just hang out. There is a piano you can play if you wanted. They also have ice cream and other goodies. Great plaza with plenty other dessert spots to go. If family from out of state is visiting, we always take them here ^_^. The OD size is huuggeeee! Definitely a must share or at least you'll have tea for a couple days ^_^. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Wintermelon milk tea, less sugar, OD size is my preferred order. read more

This is probably the cutest boba spot I have ever been to!! It was my first time trying it out and I will be coming back. For starters, the interior decor looks like it's straight out of a cartoon show! It's the perfect backdrop for pictures. Plus, they have a real piano that customers can play! I had a passion fruit, orange, guava green tea with boba, that was on their "top favorites" menu. It was pretty tasty and their pearls were sweet and soft. I ordered a regular size (which is comparable to a small) and it came in a cute little round-bottom cup. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. If you're looking for a nice Instagram-worthy boba spot that's open late, this is the perfect place! read more

first time trying and they have the best original milk tea !! the boba balls are chewy and tasty The strawberry mango smoothie is also really good! The price is decent and not overly expensive compare to another boba plc a few doors down. the 3d comic style decor is pretty unique and cool also. the staff were friendly and quick, and I loved that they are dog friendly and even had water bowls out at the door. Def would come back to try some other diff milk teas! read more

First time coming here. Got a large hazelnut milk tea boba with an Avengers design which is suuuuper cute! They have different designs to choose from (we picked baby groot because duh) and it's a great deal for $5. Will definitely be back to get this again! The only con was that we drove out here for taiyaki which is ONLY available on weekend nights from 7-10pm so we couldn't get what we originally came for. It would help if there was a sign especially on the menu saying this. Other than that though, the staff was very friendly and the boba was delicious. So it wasn't a complete fail for our late night sweet cravings, even without the taiyaki! read more

The girls that work here stand around talking and not taking your order. Even after you order it takes forever to get your drink! They only see you standing in line waiting to order and they will still stand around yapping and not helping the customers. Worst part is they want a tip on top of it and that's how they be treat customers! Won't be back. read more

My strawberry pineapple slush with boba was pretty tasty. The bobas themselves were mediocre at best but the slush was good and smooth. They have outdoor seating with tables six feet apart. The staff that took our order standing more like 10 feet from us. We used to hangout there and play games but now it's more of a get it and go. read more

You Have The Patience To Read My Review Then You'll have the patience to wait in line here. LOL I don't recommend coming if you don't have all the time in the world. Some times theyre pretty fast at drink orders but for food orders W O W It's slow. Takoyaki will be ready after like 30 minutes of waiting. I've gotta hand it to the cook who gave me my order though (cuz he looked like he workd hard to make it). Maybe the production of takoyaki really took unicorn abilities??? Their service is also a hit or miss. . . At least they're serving $1 snacks when you follow them on their IG. See you guys there if I find time in the world lol. read more

Delicious milk tea. The boba is so soft and warm, you know it's made fresh. The honey milk tea was also very delightful, not very sweet at all. Only thing I would change is to request a bit more ice, as the drink was not too cold. Definitely one of the better milk tea places to visit locally. read more

The Banana Milk Latte was delicious once everything was mixed well, but the Honey Bori Latte was just bitter and then less bitter when mixed. It was already half melted, there was no salted honey cold foam or Jolly Pong which is supposed to be part of the drink. I got the order to go, so I didn't notice that my drink was wrong until I got home, so I couldn't even get it corrected. I didn't realize the drink was wrong at first. I thought it was just a flavor I didn't like even though I noted that I couldn't taste Barley at all. Then half way throught it, I decided to look at the description on the app to remember what it was supposed to taste like because it tasted like an ordinary flavorless latte. The description said there's barley milk, salted honey cold foam and Jolly Pong. That's when it hit me that I either got the wrong drink or someone didn't make it right because there was no flavor of salted honey and definitely no Jolly Pong in my drink. It didn't even look like I had cold foam topping my drink, but maybe that's because it was melting already. Overall, I was very upset and disappointed with my drink, but was happy my mom's drink was fine. Now this is only a part of why I was dissapointed with yesterday's experience. The other reason was the app and workers. Maybe the workers aren't used to working with the Smoking Tiger app yet? Or maybe the app still needs work, but the drinks I ordered through the app took forever to be marked ready even though my drinks had been ready for some time which was obvious because my Honey Bori Latte was already half mixed because the layers of ingredients were melting into each other. I arrived at the cafe about 5 minutes after ordering, but the app's estimated wait time was another 10 minutes which wasn't a problem for me, especially since I saw a person waiting for his order and some people inside the cafe, although it wasn't full like usual. I just assumed some people ordered before me, so I just have to wait a bit, which again was fine with me especially since I was waiting for my mom to arrive. At some point after the one person waiting for their drink left, I realized the 2 girls at the counter were just talking and not making any drinks. I checked the app and it still said my order was being prepared. After 2 more people ordered their drinks and received them immediately, I went up to the counter, by this point it had been the app's estimated 10 minute wait. I told the girl with glasses my name and showed her the order on my phone. Then she walked toward the fridge and got my drinks, put them in a drink carrier, passed them to me and then turned around while looking at the receipt paper that was with the drinks. That was it. She didn't tell me which drink was which and they were not labeled, so my mom and I just had taste them to figure out which was which. At most places, they let you know which drink is which, so I was just confused with the service I received, especially when the place wasn't busy. And to top it all off, my order was marked completed 10 minutes after I received my order which again just left me in confusion. I usually love this place and was saddened when they got rid of their Choco Mugwort drink, but I'm always looking forward to their seasonal drinks and baked goods. This time though, I don't think I was even able to taste one of their new seasonal drinks because it tasted like a regular latte with milk. I want to try their other current seasonal drinks, but I'm also worried about what I will receive in the future and I'm not ready for another disappointing coffee any time soon.

Finally, after making me yell and argue with them for probably 3 minutes in front of the whole restaurant, she finally agreed to refund the $3. Horrible service, and dishonest. They tried everything they could to not give me a refund when there was no hash browns and I paid for them. Worst service ever.

I had no problem with that because it gave us free rein to pet and play with whoever we wanted. The cats were very sociable and adorable and I wish I could adopt them all. We were able to order some drinks, I got a black tea while my lady got a vanilla late. Both were delicious. We were also able to purchase cat treats to feed the cats and let me say: it worked, they loved us. It's really heartwarming to know that this place exists and is doing their best to help cats around the area. We will be back 100%.

I ate the skin too and it tasted great. The main part of this place is the soba. The kikouchi soba are thicker 100% buckwheat noodles that were very well cooked and pleasant to eat. The Plum "Ume" broth was so refreshing and nice. I ate it cold; I probably would have preferred it hot but the is just a personal preference. The Ginger Pork was great. The pork itself was super gingery without being too pungent. The shredded cabbage was super easy to pick up and eat and the side of noodle salad and miso soup were great complements to the meal. I can tell no corners were cut anywhere and that Otafuku puts a little of effort into every meal they prepare. There is great care for all of the preparations and it was a very special meal.
