Been to this place before they did this full makeover and I must say this is a nice go to boba spot In Gardena. I love the concept that you can custom your drink with any flavors that you want . I forgot to take a picture of mines and my husband's drinks but I got two drinks 1 was black tea with mango , watermelon and strawberries the other one was black tea with pineapple mango and peach . Interesting concept. I got all sumo sizes.! The OD scared me a bit soo I decided to go one size down. They do have alternative milk such as oats milk for the dairy free option. Drinks: signature milk tea w/boba and substitute milk w/ oats milk, signature milk tea w/ boba and Thai milk tea w/ boba. All 100 sweets. Next time I'll go with 75% sweet. The reviews all said not to get the drinks, so I got the strawberry Sando. It was so delicious! Just the right amount of sweet, it was almost like a thicker strawberry yogurt filling with strawberries inside of it. I personally think it's cute, with a nice theme and a wish tree! Ordered Thai milk tea, Okinawa milk tea and plum tea. The milk teas were hard to drink because they both have after taste of Coffee Mate creamer. The plum tea was very tarty and less plum like. The larger sizes offered were a red flag for us as the drinks were very cheap price wise. We didn't try the signature drinks, in which is probably better than the milk teas. I don't recommend the milk teas unless you like coffee mate flavor. read more

With so many boba spots in Gardena, you gotta differentiate yourself somehow and Oko Cafe serves nothing but mini boba. Their regular boba is their mini boba so you might be in for a surprise if you just want regular boba. I'm personally not that big of a mini boba fan but they have other toppings to suit your style. I got the Okinawa brown sugar milk tea and thought it was good. I appreciate the number options for cup sizes. It might even be worthwhile to get the super large size and share it with someone if you want the same flavor. You can even mix a couple flavors if you're feeling adventurous. With so many different combinations and sizes to choose from, Oko Cafe does a good job of making the experience to your liking. I just wish they had regular boba. read more

I've been a regular at Oko since I was in middle school!! It's a nicely decorated and welcoming boba shop with a huge variety of great drinks, like milk tea, slush, etc. One of the things I love about Oko is the atmosphere. It's the perfect place to hang out with friends. My friends and I often pick this place as a hangout spot when we're in town to catch up! The decor is black and white like a cartoon, which adds a really fun and playful touch and makes it perfect for photos. I love all the drinks here! I've tried tons of different milk teas and slush drinks. My favorite drink is the vanilla milk tea at 25% sweetness with boba. I appreciate that you can adjust the sweetness level to your preference. The service has also consistently been great. It's never too long of a wait. I highly recommend checking out Oko if you're in town. Such a great late night boba shop! Love the theme/vibes here. I visited with friends and was surprised to see how many options they had on their menu! I enjoyed a Oolong milk tea with matcha and boba. My friend let me know that the drinks are on the sweeter side here, so I adjusted the sweetness to 25% for my drink, and it was still decently sweet but I liked it. Really cute when first walking in, outside had table and chairs w the same 2D cafe look. The interior is 2D themed all around. They have lot of Valentine's decorations and little promotions. They have "buy 2 drinks and get a free"LOVE" straw caps" . And a 50% off on apparel and off the glow light bulbs. There's a "Moshi Moshi" pop up which I think may just be a change in the name from Oko to that but not 100% sure. They are selling Moshi fresh flower fruit sandwiches/ fruit sandos. I only saw strawberry flavor when I went during a non-busy hour, not sure if they sell other fruit sandos or if its not available yet. They have self order kiosks, or you could go to the cashier. The service was good, the girl helping me was sweet. I went when it seemed to be slow so I am not sure about how it would be when busy. The drink I got was strawberry matcha latte with the Okinawa brown sugar boba, sweetness and ice levels were unadjusted. It was really good, and everything seems to be made fresh on the spot. The brown sugar boba and strawberry they put in made the drink the perfect level of sweetness. Wasn't too bitter or super sweet. The fruit sandwich was fresh and yummy. I love a themed cafe perfect for IG and a treat for your eyes (: not sure if I can find a cafe thats painted like this elsewhere! I got a iced matcha latte which was okay, nothing special. I ended up coming here randomly with some friends after dinner. The interior looked pretty cool, but there is not inside seating at the moment. There were a few tables outside though. This place takes contactless ordering/paying seriously. You order through a microphone and you put your payment into a basket. All transactions and drinks are made in the back away from us. My husband and I tried their mojito drinks. It's pretty much club soda with fruit flavoring. We didn't have high hopes, but the drinks were really good and flavorful. Their syrup is not overly sweet, and it was very tasty. I will probably try their brown sugar drink next time. I was informed they use actual Okinawan brown sugar. read more

Color me happy! Many years ago I visited Oko Cafe and had a not so happy experience. Fast forward to today and Oko Cafe has totally changed and revamped! Oko Cafe now has a whole new unique look. They have a black and white theme. It feels like you are in giant coloring book when you walk in. The tables, wall decor and even the piano has the black marker outline. It's really neat. I even personally saw the cafe manager drawing the decor and cutting up the cardboard. It looks they rotate the themes occasionally. What really attracted me to going here though was they just had a Hello Kitty 45th anniversary theme going complete with large Hello Kitty bows and Kitty faces (Unfortunately they took down most of the decor to make room for the next them which is currently a pirate/tokidoki. Hint for my fellow Hello Kitty fans: they still have some Hello Kitty decor near the bathroom.) To go along with the neat themes; they've got some cool foam art too. Similar to latte art; they have different images that they can put on any of the foam drinks. They've got a ton of designs including K-pop, Disney, Gudetama and Hello Kitty! I of course chose....Hello Kitty ;). Color me happy...I love the coloring book feel and black and white drawing look. I also love their creative foam art! It's safe to say this may be my favorite Bobba Spot!! I found this place on Yelp tonight and the first thing that caught my eye was the theme (yup that really caught my eye, righhttt). The theme is literally from a story tale, it's as if someone went inside the store to draw the chairs and table ( pretty awesome) Today I had their amazing tea ( mango, mint and ginger). I'm usually more of a fruit sweet type of guy. So I added their jelly mango. WoW!!! It was delicious, right amount of sweet (50%), and pretty big ( super plus) size for the value for only 4.50 (right! Cheaper than Starbucks lol). I'm sure I'm the only one bragging about their cups, but they have awesome cups hahah. Their reusable (go green) and have a zip and a straw side. Thought that was pretty cool design. Customer service was great!! The girl taking my order was super patient as I had selected my item off of a yelp review. During Covid 19 they take their orders 6 feet for both the client safety and their own. You have to wait outside and wait for your number to be called out. You use a karaoke mic, connected to a speaker system, to communicate with the employees who are standing about 10 ft away from you. My family's favorite! Usually come on party days and buy a bunch of milk teas in the OD size and bring them home to share with all my aunts and uncles. Also fun to go with cousins and/or friends and just hang out. There is a piano you can play if you wanted. They also have ice cream and other goodies. Great plaza with plenty other dessert spots to go. If family from out of state is visiting, we always take them here ^_^. The OD size is huuggeeee! For starters, the interior decor looks like it's straight out of a cartoon show! It's the perfect backdrop for pictures. Plus, they have a real piano that customers can play! I had a passion fruit, orange, guava green tea with boba, that was on their "top favorites" menu. It was pretty tasty and their pearls were sweet and soft. First time coming here. Got a large hazelnut milk tea boba with an Avengers design which is suuuuper cute! They have different designs to choose from (we picked baby groot because duh) and it's a great deal for $5. Will definitely be back to get this again! The only con was that we drove out here for taiyaki which is ONLY available on weekend nights from 7-10pm so we couldn't get what we originally came for. It would help if there was a sign especially on the menu saying this. Other than that though, the staff was very friendly and the boba was delicious. I like to go to this place every now and then. The service is always good, and lively inside. But recently I wanted to try something different than my usual milk teas. I ordered the oreo milk tea, and im not sure if the ingredients were intentionally made that way, but the "oreo bits" was just pure sugar. Like a mouthful of cotton candy, and something about it tasted off.. I had a really bad stomach ache not long after that led me to the restroom. Some times theyre pretty fast at drink orders but for food orders W O W It's slow. Takoyaki will be ready after like 30 minutes of waiting.
