Still love the vibe, it is very cute. The drinks are on the sweeter side. The workers are super nice and polite. There was basically no wait, which was a huge plus.

Cute lil spot. Cute interior decor. Bubble tea was good. Nothing special but it's also been a minute since I've had one. Honeydew is a classic and can't ever go wrong. Service was avg.

This was an interesting concept for the interior of a boba place. There is a lot happening within a short amount of time of just stepping into this place. I was confused to begin with. Service was great for it being a one woman show. She was getting through making the drinks as fast as she could. She was very responsive and patient. Drinks: I ordered the mango milk ice with boba and a strawberry milk ice with egg pudding. Both drinks were SUPER SWEET. Almost unbearably sweet. I'll come back here again, but look into their boba milk teas instead. Food: I bought the fresh strawberry sando.

Oko Cafe is located in the same plaza as Tokyo Central & Main, specifically next door to 88 Pocha. This tea house is dog friendly (inside and out are leashed dogs allowed). My husband, our little girl dog and I came here on a Sunday afternoon, around 3:45 pm. After looking over the menu, I ended up purchasing: Large Almond Milk Tea, (made with black tea and 25% sweetener), $5.75 prior to tax- I thought my drink was still on the sweet side, even with 25% sweetener. I would probably consider ordering at 0% sweetener then. But I did like the drink though. My husband also ended up purchasing a large drink, that I do not recall what he got, but it was $5.75 prior to tax. ------------------------------ (Total= $12.68 after tax) Service was friendly. The employee who took our order at the register (whom I suspect is the owner) actually took a dog biscuit from the dog treat jar from the counter and offered it to our little girl. The cafe itself inside is decorated like a comic book, 2D and makes for some great photos. Overall, we had a positive experience and would consider coming back the next time I am shopping at Tokyo Central.

Cute interior. Love the fake 2D look and they really got the feel of the trains in Japan down. Layout is kind of weird and there's a lot of noise in the surroundings. They also seem to be in collaboration with various pop up shops in their space so it's kind of confusing especially having another tea shop in your tea shop but you make their teas for them also? We've popped in from time to time over the last 10 years. It's typically one of the last places open. Staff is always nice and helpful so no complaints there. I've always felt the drinks aren't great but decent and just over sugared. This last time I did a peach lychee oolong tea which is my staple at some other tea places but here it came out really bad... maybe the tea flavor was not my usual oolong or I needed a lot more sugar to bridge the gap (I did 50%). Tried to finish it but had to give up. Next time I'll just go for something safer like a peach green tea.

We like this cute spot! They have cute 2-D decor and they play good music! I enjoyed writing a note on their well wishes tree! Also, their piano works but there's a note that roughly says if you don't know how to play the piano then don't! Haha! Luckily while we were waiting for our drinks a guy knew how to play and he was pretty good! We ordered Strawberry Matcha Latte and Iced Kumquat Oolong Tea.

Oko Cafe is a sweet little cafe. To be honest, I remember coming here before, but not the drinks I got! I have pictures, so I do know. However, I will undoubtedly remember my most recent visit! We ate dinner in this plaza and I was in the mood for a drink afterwards. We wandered inside Oko and I noticed the Sakura Cherry Blossom & Moshi Moshi stuff. TIP: To order from the Momoko x Moshi Moshi menu, you must use the kiosk. You cannot order at the counter. When you step inside, you'll see that the furniture and decorations are all black & white. Like the artist drew all the lines with a black Sharpie! There's a train complete with seats & handholds for standing passengers. Too cute! Previously, there was a family of ducks that once graced that wall. There's also a guitar, telephone, computer, and a portrait of Albert Einstein! I love the functional piano named Hammond! They even provided a music book! It's neat that they change up the interior from time to time. This black & white drawn theme continues to the counter & the restroom! Parking is free at the Pacific Square Shopping Center. The two items I wanted required me to use the kiosk. I got the Sakura Cherry Black Milk Tea with Kikkoman Organic Soy Milk & Sakura Honey Boba ($7.65) - I loved this drink! The tea bag is left in the cup. The drink itself was quite ambrosial! What made this drink a notch above was the Sakura Honey Boba! They were absolutely amazing and more than worth the 90¢! I don't know if this is permanently on the (kiosk) menu or not, but I need to get some more! I was a little bit sad when I finished my drink! [ https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/oko-cafe-gardena-3?select=HDhM2qA-BfKUOVKaOJZ_Mw ] Interesting fact: Momoko x Moshi Moshi offers 5 different Milk choices - Kikkoman Organic Soy Milk, Oatly Oat Milk, Stratus Organic Milk, Califia Almond Milk, and Hokkaido Non-Dairy Creamer. We also wanted to try the Fresh Tama Strawberry Sakura Cream Sando ($5.50). It took a while for this sando to come out because it is made fresh. It looked like quite a work of art! I must say that eating it was a feat in itself! I tried to cut my half into bite-sized pieces, but everything oozed out from the bread and made a mess! I ended up eating it as a deconstructed sandwich. In a way, it reminded me of a Strawberry Shortcake. [ https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/oko-cafe-gardena-3?select=cirXq4KbQYoaVXiTA6FjPg ] It was worth the extra time it took to get the drink & sando because they were made fresh while we waited! Looking back at my pictures, I've been here three times with a 2 year gap between each visit. Wow! I can assure you that I will undoubtedly return this year, not two years from now!

I love this place. There Boba Teas are the best! This is a family-owned business. Their dog is their mascot. He is so calm and friendly. This place has a WIDE array of flavors. You just can't go wrong. They are located in the heart of Gardena, in the Asian shopping center. You can either sit outside and chill or sit inside and chill. I love the vibe. They play all kinds of music. Today, there were playing Disney songs. You will be greeted by a smile and people very interested in taking your order and making you smile. And, please be patient. Each order is custom made. Small businesses are hurting right now. So, PLEASE stop by the place and give them some support. You won't be sorry.

Great coffee & customer service! The shop setting is super cute, lots to see especially the wishing tree... you have to see it to understand. Can't wait to bring my kids!!

This cafe is cute! It has a unique paper doodle art style featured in the decor, such as the subway wall with real hanging handles and the paper piano. The drinks themselves are just ok to me. I got 70% sugar and it was still quite sweet. I also didn't taste much tea. The boba was a little chewy, but I would have preferred softer. I like that you can choose your own flavors to mix into the milk tea though. The workers are nice; the older gentleman let us pet his dog. I... might come back... I heard the sandos are good so maybe next time.

Review #990 2026-060…read more Drinks Order: Peach Jasmine Tea with Crystal Boba $5.60 Passionfruit Green Apple Refresher with Lychee Jelly $6.60 Peach Refresher with Crystal Boba $7 Cafe Pruvia is located on the east side of Pacific Square Shopping Center while traversing over a bunch of speed bumps to reach the cafe. With several boba/tea shops in the same plaza, I'm guessing they're trying to capitalize on the high foot traffic from Tokyo Central & Main supermarket, & their competitors ("boba clusters")? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ On my first visit, I wasn't sure what to order & saw someone exit with a bright green drink; the cashier said it's one of their more popular refreshers: Passionfruit Green Apple Refresher, & ordered it with lychee jelly. It's basically a slushy with passionfruit & green apple, but the flavor isn't as sharp, though it paired well with the jelly. I love peach, & their Peach Jasmine Tea is perfect for the summer... light, refreshing, & aromatically alluring with the combo of jasmine & peach. I prefer the Peach Refresher with Crystal Boba, which I claimed for my Local By Toast (LBT) $5 birthday reward. This slush has a notable peach flavor & crystal boba tastes better in this icy drink because it maintains its soft, chewy texture whereas tapioca pearls usually hardens & becomes tough after longer icy exposure. The menu is compact, consisting of: milk & flavored teas, non-caffeinated drinks, swirls, refreshers, crema (milk smoothies), coffees & coffee lattes, & tea lattes, with moderate prices in this competitive neighborhood. It's a decent selection but nothing that I considered unique enough for dedicated loyalty with other options in this center. Not the friendliest of service, but they are fast. The cafe is quite spacious with tables & chairs lining around the perimeter... with free WiFi, there's usually a crowd hanging out, particularly during the weekend evenings. If they provided board games, would that be additional entertainment to entice customers to stay a little longer & have a few more drinks? Hmmm... Cafe Pruvia uses LBT for their loyalty rewards, & program rules allows you to earn 1 point for every $1 spent, & earning 165 points for a $5 discount (or 3%). I'm not a frequent patron so I haven't checked my rewards status in a while... I came back recently when they dropped a $5 birthday reward. That's when I checked my account & saw that I only tallied 3 points after multiple trips; their tracking system is glitchy & I don't plan to fix it since there's no way I'll spend enough to earn the next $5 reward. Opened during the pandemic lockdown for nearly 6 years, Cafe Pruvia announced that they will be permanently closing on Sunday, 05/24/26, but will maintain next door sister, Pruvia Coffee Bar. If you're a fan of their teas & smoothies, this is your last chance to say goodbye.

The Amai banana turon, on the other hand, is beautifully balanced. It's like eating a slice of salted caramel banana bread while drinking a latte. This review is regarding a visit on June 1 between approximately 12:10 PM and 12:30 PM…read more I am leaving this feedback as a regular customer who has purchased different matcha drinks from this business on multiple occasions. I have consistently enjoyed visiting this location, which is why I am sharing this experience in detail rather than simply not returning. On this visit, I ordered the House Matcha with almond milk and paid $7.75. The drink was significantly underfilled, which resulted from my request for no ice. While I understand that removing ice can affect volume, the amount of empty space at the top of the cup made it feel like I received less than a full drink despite paying the full price. In addition, I was charged for an almond milk substitution, which further contributed to the expectation of a properly filled drink. The cup size also raised concerns. I recently ordered a Banana Cream Matcha at the same price point and received a noticeably larger cup. On this visit, the House Matcha was served in a smaller cup, and even the sleeve did not fit correctly. The combination of a smaller cup and reduced fill level created an inconsistency in value that was immediately noticeable. The most significant issue was that the drink contained no sweetness at all. The House Matcha is described as "perfectly sweet matcha" and includes agave syrup, so it is reasonable to expect sweetness as part of the standard preparation. Instead, the drink was completely unsweetened. There was no communication during ordering that sweetness needed to be selected separately, and in prior visits I have never been asked about sweetness level. This is also not the first time I have received a matcha drink without sweetness despite it being described otherwise. By the time I realized, I had already left the store and was unable to return due to time commitments, and it does not feel reasonable that multiple preparation issues should require a return visit. It is also concerning that there is no clear pricing listed next to the different matcha options in the matcha section of the menu. The lack of visible prices makes it difficult to understand the cost of each drink at the point of ordering and reduces transparency for customers. From a broader perspective, consistency issues across cup size, fill level, and recipe execution affect the overall experience. I regularly purchase specialty drinks and would be comfortable paying $7.75 if the product consistently matched the menu description, portioning was accurate, and expectations were clearly communicated at the point of sale. As someone who visits this plaza several times per month, I would genuinely like to continue supporting this business and have consistently positive experiences. That depends on clearer communication, more consistent preparation standards, and attention to detail during both ordering and fulfillment. At home, I am able to prepare matcha easily using a variety of milks, including almond, oat, coconut, cashew, pistachio, banana, and pea protein, along with simple sweeteners such as agave, maple syrup, honey, and organic brown sugar. I also keep ingredients such as whipped cream, sea salt, strawberries on hand, blueberries, and mango, allowing me to make specialty drinks like strawberry matcha, blended matcha with frozen strawberries, or other customized variations. Because of that, the value of a café drink comes down to consistency, accuracy, and convenience rather than ingredients alone. If issues such as inconsistent cup sizes, underfilling, missing ingredients, or unclear customization options are occurring across orders, it may point to a need for improved staff training and clearer standardization. Addressing these areas would likely improve the experience for both regular and first-time customers. I hope this feedback is received as constructive input from a returning customer meant to improve overall customer satisfaction and repeat business.
