So my gf heard about this place bc people were raving on FB and so we came to get some Red Bean Shaved Ice. And I have to say unless the shaved ice they use is shipped directly from Mt. Himalaya and the milk they use is from a non-GMO with grass fed cow from Australia and red bean is grown from Mt Fuji in Japan, I just can't see how the price adds up??? I think there are far more better shaved ice place with reasonable price. But they did a great job on packaging the product and store with a luxurious vibe. BTW there is a sink right in the middle of wall decoration. Make sure to wash your hand before you eat. read more

I liked the taste of the black bean but the price was ridiculous. I tried the large OG and the black bean and got it to go. First of all, do not get it to-go, it looks nothing like all these pictures posted on yelp and is not a heaping mountain of yumminess, but a near flatland. I thought they mistakenly gave me the small $4 size! Since I got mine to go, they also charged me $1 per packaging and didn't even tell me the additional charge until I asked. I love this place! I found it while looking for interesting desserts in Torrance and wasn't disappointed. Im generally not a fan of shaved ice but the traditional korean "bingsoo" is a bit more than that. The place is mostly filled with asians when I go, mainly because I don't think anyone is exploring the realms of authentic Korean dessert-but they should be :D I always get the Black Snow Bowl with the red bean porridge on the side...Its tasty and light and IMO a healthier option when you don't want to feel so guilty about indulging in something sweet :) read more

Easy parking, large location. Service - maybe there was a communication gap, but it took a while for us to figure out what the server was trying to tell us regarding the Yellow Snow Cup (the name of this particular item wasn't thought out) and them running out of a certain yogurt flavor. After some back and forth, we finally told him to make the cups with whatever yogurt they had available. Lots of tables and chairs. But, there's a sink in the seating area. The sink is behind two tables. As we had to sit at said two tables, people were coming up behind us grabbing paper towels. Very AWKWARD. They also have boxes and bowls on display near the sink. A woman walked towards the shelf, and somehow, knocked her head onto the shelf. No clue if she was trying to get to the sink and somehow clobbered herself, but I have to say, the SINK NEEDS TO GO. They call out the order in Korean. Hmm... So, our order was done, but we sat there wondering, IS THAT OURS? Sure enough, it was. Onto the actual desserts... I had the OG snow cup and I loved it. I could do without the super tart yogurt, but the milk snow plus honey plus granola was really delicious. The sweetness wasn't heavy. I have heard about this place so much, so I wanted to try it. When I found out that it also has a location in Torrance area, I couldn't resist. I ordered the black snow and Gold snow. They tasted fine but I have to say that I was a bit disappointed by the size of the snow for the price. I have been to other similar Korean shaved iced places in K town and they seemed to be bigger portion but theirs seemed so small. Also, personally, I did not like the bowl material that they are using. I understand that they wanted to keep the Korean traditional theme and feel but I felt like I could smell or taste the metal (maybe I am just too sensitive). There are not many Korean shaved ice options in South Bay, so I may go back there when I crave for Korean shaved ice and do not want to drive all the way to K town. Great authentic Korean shaved ice! They offer four different types - the OG snow bowl, Green snow bowl, Gold snow bowl, and Black snow bowl. They all come with red bean and two small mochi for $8.25 each. If it's your first time I recommend the OG snow bowl which is milk shaved ice with red bean. It is a little pricey but I think it's worth it, the small bowl fills you up and the red bean is well cooked & they put the red bean both on top and in the middle of your bowl so you never run out of that taste. And free barley tea (self pour)! Huge parking lot is a plus. Some people mentioned limited seating but it's never been an issue for me. Yummy and Korean-approved! read more
