The hummus tasted like nothing, which was surprising to me...like it didn't even taste like chickpeas... Not sure what happened there. Maybe I just got the wrong things on the menu? They make their almond milk in house, but I guess I didn't really taste any big difference. The coffee/tea took about 30 minutes to come out. The hummus was quick. Overall, $30 for a coffee, tea, and hummus wasn't worth it to me. The servers didn't know which drink options they offered, which I guess is okay considering they are new. Ol'Days is such an amazing coffee shop! I stayed nearby while on vacation in Miami and went here almost every day. Love the service and the food. The weather was perfect for sitting outside. I always order the chicken pocket sandwich, which is absolutely delicious and filling. This time we tried the white sangria. It is light and refreshing. When we come back to Miami or visit New York that will be our next visit. DON'T be fooled by the cute decor and curb appeal that this restaurant puts out there. I was so excited to try this place out, and I was disappointed within the first 15 minutes. It was a Tuesday night around 8:30pm, and there were only 4 tables occupied, 3 of which had only one person seated (myself included). So there were MAYBE 10 people in total at the restaurant. All of this considered, I never got water (I eventually asked for it after 30 minutes) and I sat twiddling my thumbs by myself waiting for the male server to eventually come around and take my order. He couldn't have cared less about his job or the people waiting for him to come around to their tables. He would stand around chatting with coworkers or just....stand there....consequently delaying bringing out food to the table with a handful of people. I noticed that 4/6 people at the table got their entrees, but the other 2 were left waiting an additional 15 minutes until their food came out. Yikes. Not a place for groups, I guess? After finally ordering my appetizer and an entree, it took forever to get my food out to the table -- which makes me curious how long it takes for customers to get their food when the restaurant is crowded. My meal finally came, but wayyyyy before the super simple appetizer that I ordered, which eventually arrived 15 minutes later. The server never checked if I liked the food (I like the entree, hated the app -- which is saying something because I rarely come across a food I don't like). I sat and ate my food while the empty tables around me had trash and empty plates sitting on them during the entirety of my time at this restaurant. Talk about a vibe kill. I went to this restaurant excited to try it and eager to bring friends here, but the abysmal service and bland food has convinced me otherwise. If you do decide to go here, the falafel bowl isn't half bad -- a little dry but a good quantity of food for the $17 price tag. The tapioca bites on the other hand....never again. It definitely felt like they sacrificed flavor & yumminess for the sake of "making something unique". It was like the wayyyy lesser version of fried tofu bites. Unfortunately did not have the best experience here. I made a reservation and they said I had outdoor seating. However the person I was eating with was running late so I waited until he arrived before I got seated (he was about 7 minutes late.) When we went back up to sit down they had given our spot away so we sat inside. Not the worst, but inside was very small so it was packed and there was no running air so seemed a bit stuffy. Once we sat in the very crowded indoor spaces, we find out their coffee machine was broken so no coffee for brunch which was a huge bummer. I ended up going somewhere else after for coffee. I ordered the Rainbow Bowl which had a ton of amazing veggies. I got a poached egg on top and unfortunately it was such a tiny poached egg it really didn't make an impact on the overall meal which was a pretty big size. I did have to pay extra for the egg so that was another bummer. The bowl as I said had amazing veggies but the dressing they give you has zero flavor and isn't pourable (too thick) so I didn't use it much. In the end the overall meal had a pretty bland flavor. I ended up taking about 80% of the meal home since I knew I could add some stuff I had to it to make it better. My friend ordered the eggs, toast and potatoes and also asked for bacon but they forgot the bacon which we realized a little too late to be able to order it so it came with our meals. He said the potatoes were good. I would consider coming back but I would order something different and I would ask them before I was sat if their coffee machine is broken. I think the staff could probably communicate better as well since it seemed like everyone was kind of confused about where to sit people and what they ordered.
