Terrible dealership with zero customer service! We helped our daughter buy her first car, a used Toyota Corolla. We had to take it back 4 times within the first two weeks and we live an hour away! I love my car. Had good experience with buying my car here. BUT, to charge $115 for and oil change and tire rotation is not acceptable. Also, was told I needed a new battery. I had had no problems with battery, so declined a new battery. Also very expensive. Took my car to another place and asked about my battery, was told battery was fine. 2 hour wait for an oil change and tire rotation which was previously scheduled is simply ridiculous!

I typically have good things to say about this particular Toyota dealership. I've had no issues up until i took my tacoma in for a 90k service wich included change spark plugs. The service provider Monty showed me what the overall bill would be and it was a lottle over 600$ i was fine and accepted the service. I fropped the truck off in plans to pick it up the next day. I get a call a few hours later stating it was almost complete and the mechanic noticed i needed my battery cleaned, it was an extra 30$ so i accepted the service. I go to pick up my truck 5 hours after dropping it off, the bill was close to 1000$. I dodnt recieve any other call in regards to the price jump. I take my truck home to inspect the work because for some reason, I had a bad feeling. I noticed my sparkplugs were never touched, but i was charged for them.I contact the service provider and told me the mechanic couldnt get to it for a week. Talk about an inconvenience. I found a way to get it in the next day and they told me, "no worries, there's no charge." Thanks, i already paid for it a week ago. Knowing there's a mechanic there charging for work that was never done really concerns me. What if i paid 987$ for just a tire rotation and a few light bulbs?! Thats why I can't go back there. I love my truck more than I love the service I received. I hope this review isn't blocked like my last one. read more

Last week I went in and bought a new 2020 Toyota Tacoma. It was a an awesome experience, the salesman Clayton was was wonderful and patient. There was no pressure or anything. I told Clayton what I was interested in and he immediately helped me find the perfect fit. The process took a little time as they always do but I enjoyed every moment of it, I felt at home. I went to Olathe Toyota today after doing several months of research online. I had decided on a RAV4 with navigation and nutmeg interior. I had already checked the fair market price on KBB.com and knew how much I could afford for monthly payments. Josh greeted me shortly after I got out of my car. He found a 2019 model that matched my description. He made me an offer that was slightly less than I had expected. My payments are about $10 a month less than I had budgeted. All the people that assisted with the finance and instructions on the features were totally knowledgeable, honest, and made the best car buying experience I've ever had. I went to this dealership to test drive two different Toyota's. I was approached by Johannes Alberty and he was AMAZING to work with. He did not do the typical slimy salesman thing. He was respectful and did not come on with the HIGH PRESSURE sales pitch. As a result I bought my 2016 Highlander from him. It needed a few items taken care of and he assured me that by bringing it in it would be taken care of by the service department. Well....the transaction has been a smooth process most all of the staff are not high pressure and very informed. I am glad Im doing business there. I am waiting for parts to come in for my vehicle, and then all will be perfect once the items are replaced. Thank you Johannes....you are a Quality person. I am telling many about my experience. My rant is particularly on their service team. My 2 year old car shuts off on me while driving at 45mph. It takes you SIX DAYS to figure out my car's ECU was no good and that it was a warranty issue needing replacement. This after I told you while I dropped it off that it was an ECU issue. Then you offer no rental or courtesy car either. Oh, and did I mention that the recalls that do not affect MY car are YOUR problem and should not affect your level of customer service to me in particular? This review is regarding Olathe Toyota's parts department. I am halfway across the country and recently purchased a standard 2008 Camry SE grille to replace my current 2008 Camry LE grille. I typed in my VIN number online to help them fit the grille to the specifications of my car, but they ended up sending me the Camry LE grille because of it. This was not a big issue though, as mistakes happen. It is only human. Roni, from the parts department was more than willing to help! After a few short emails back and forth she sent me a label to return and exchange the part for the one I initially ordered. I didn't even have to pay for return shipping! Wonderful service despite a small communication error. I recommend them for parts. They are cheaper than you'll get from any dealership and have excellent service. It takes about three days to get to you following processing if you are on either coast of the United States. read more

Sorry Kev I've got to disagree with you. I've never had an issue with This Toyota through buying and serving my last three Toyotas (echo, matrix, yaris) here. Buying a car I recommend, Robert Jackson who sold me my echo and matrix, or Shannon Merkel. She helped me find my yaris while Mr. Jackson was on vacation. She was his apprentice and did a wonderful job as well. As for service I have not had any serious service needed other than regular maintenance. I've taken my cars to here, Performance in kck and Superior in Merriam. This has the fastest service for oil change/tire rotation. When I got my yaris my cd player was not working right. I was called when they got the part and was in and out. Headlight bulb went out. I tried to change it but, had to take it in and learn the lesson of not touching the bulb. Thought Aux plug-in was messing up. Quickly found out it was my wire. Service always been helpful and nice, even on an operator error. I do not hesitate to bring my cars in if something just isn't setting right with me. Only on oil changes will I make an appointment, to get a discount. Otherwise I just pop in. On occasions they have washed my car and given me free water bottles. read more

I have to say this place is fairly honest and reliable for the most part I don't know the first couple times I took my brand new 2021 Cameron to have it service I had some questions and like about some noise and stuff and the guy was really thorough and took his time and listen that cuz I knew it wasn't a noise it shouldn't be making and then it went away and anyways it came back and they just kind of like blew it off and said oh that's typical of a hybrid for it to rattle like that when it kicks on and off and I'm like I don't think that's right but they just like you know pulled the okay this is a female that doesn't know what she's talking about and we're just going to tell her that yeah you know this 46,000 car is supposed to make a rattling sound well if it's supposed to I personally don't want it but I love Toyota I've owned several and drove them to the wheels fell off but yeah these guys are great actually I come here instead of going to Molle in Missouri because they're just freaking rude there you know I bought the car from them and they just treated me like a second class citizen. I always have an issue with one of the headlights it's really dim at night and like it shouldn't be that way and it was obvious that it was totally different than the other one and they try to tell me that obviously I'd had it replaced since I bought it meaning that I hadn't wrecked her or something and that it was the body shops responsibility to fix it and I was like hello it's never been wrecked and so I just left and went to Olathe and they were great they hooked it up and fixed it and I'm definitely going to stick with them when I buy my next car if they would ever get an actual selection of cars on the lot there's like barely anything on their lot and most of them are used trade-ins read more

I have had mixed experiences here over the last 7 years. The last year or two have been really great, so I'm rating based off this more recent experience. Service department: Today, I went in for an oil change. They are friendly, efficient, and fast. A couple of the guys in there give you the "used car salesman" feel, but they're all pretty decent guys. I used to have a problem with them acknowledging me upon arrival, but that's all disappeared. I never feel they are trying to "fix" more than what I've asked. My buying experiences haven't been too awesome, but it's been awhile, so I'll leave it at that. My friend Brian worked here for quite a while and when my old Dakota shot craps and it was time to buy something new; I went to him for a new ride. Full disclosure: I'd done my research and had a pretty good idea of what I was wanting to get anyways. From the time I drove on to the lot until I drove off the lot in my new Camry was under 2 hours. Granted, I had to bargain a bit to get more out of my trade-in, but fairness prevailed. 3 Years and 55K miles later and she's still going strong. The Toyotacare package that gave the first couple of oil changes was nice and they fixed a couple things that I wasn't a fan of. Going there for service after the fact? As with most dealerships; WAY too expensive and not worth the wait. Jiffylube is fine for oil changes and any actual work I may need done (outside the lifetime warranty) I will source elsewhere. I must have terrible luck. Two big road trips over the last five years, and both times I've had to limp into the nearest mechanic's shop to get something fixed. Fortunately for me, I was close to Kenny Thomas Toyota. The service department helped me fix my check engine light (turned out it was no big deal - just a loose gas cap) and got me back on the road lickity-split. Bought a new 2016 Toyota Tundra 1794 Crewmax. Also got the protection for the interior. They gave me a loaner while the applied it. Already used there service for my 5000 mile mark. Was in and out in about 45 min. Getting ready to go by for my 10000 mile mark. The life time power train warranty they give is icing on the cake. Doing business means making money. However, Olathe Toyota Car Service puts honesty on top of money. I brought my can in for 80K service which includes replacing spark plugs. However, Adam White came back and said that my car spark plugs are good for a couple thousands miles more. He said it was up to me if I wanted to replace now. I decided not to to save me a few hundreds bucks now. Also I was waiting Adam texted and asked how I was doing and if I would need anything else while waiting for in the lobby just let him know. The service is great and many thanks for washing my car as well. You guys are awesome. I refer my friends here since many of them own 1 or 2 Toyota cars. Adam White is so well trained and professional that is why I keep coming back for servicing my Sienna and Highlander. If I can, I would recommend him for Employee of the Month there. read more

It's not hard to ship a Factory part that is linked to your car. What is slightly harder is to include 1 dollar worth of clips so you can put it on w new body clips because every 10 year old knows these brake when you pull them out or get messed up. So one job... This place hires idiots to work on your car. I took my car in for a tire rotation and told them that i hear grinding on my rear tires when i drive. I specifically told them to look at the rear rotors and brake pads when they remove the tires to make sure everything is ok. When they were done with my car, this young girl came to talk to me. She didnt look like she even knew what a rotor was. She had told me that my rotors were fine and my brake pads were good. I just thought, WTF! 2 weeks later i take my car to someplace else and the guy there told me that both rear brake pads were shot and was grinding on the rotors. The rear driver side rotor was the worst and it would have busted clear through if i had kept driving. This probably would have killed me if this happened while doing 70 on the interstate, which i drive on almost everyday. So Thanks a lot Olathe Toyota for hiring idiots who dont know what the hell they are doing. F**** You! Will never take my car there again. read more

Getting information here is like pulling teeth. I submitted a request for an "e-price" on a camry via their website. I got a call back, saying that I'd need to come in for a quote. Then why offer it on your website? I also called at 8:45 to ask about a question about an option on a car. I explained what I wanted to know, and she said that sales didn't open until 9, but she could transfer me to someone. That someone wouldn't/couldn't answer my question and told me to call back at 9. Why transfer me in the first place? So I go there to get a quote. Of course they didn't have the sale prices on the new cars, or the amount any particular car would be discounted because of hail damage. I was taken inside and asked for my driver's iicense though I didn't need a test drive and, because of toyota's incentives, would not be getting financing through them anyway. They probably gave me a hard pull on my credit. I'm not sure what their quote would've been-after 20 minutes of waiting, I gave up and just left. Every other dealer I've contacted via the internet has responded with an actual, helpful number. Too bad they won't. read more

They performed leaf springs recall service work on my Tacoma. Afterwards my lift kit sagged in back and they refused to fix it or to return my parts. They tried to tell me that my truck had no lift kit parts, even after I gave them a copy of my original receipt. They had written notes on the service order - after I got a copy at service check-in- and claimed that I had agreed to their notes! Insult to injury: they accused me of posting a slanderous review about them online. They tried to say I wasn't really interested in reimbursement (since I had called several times before it went to Court), but that I was personally obsessed! Oh yes, Court! The court judged against them: They should have returned my parts or paid me their value when I asked for the money. The court ordered them to pay my total lawsuit amount, plus court costs. Then they even tried to get away without paying the court costs. Ya know, maybe just a "coincidence," but my "obsession" with them was cured once I got paid. I would never deal with them ever. read more

He treated us like we are idiot who don't know how to purchase a car, and also treated us like a young poor couple who cannot afford to buy a car. Very disappointed. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!! Condition upon delivery: Took car in for service. A/C hot on driver side, cold on passenger side. Rear A/C unit was also cooling the car. Compressor clutch was engaging and releasing similar to how it should. System holding a refrigerant charge and had been for months. This is a split driver / passenger system with separate temperature controls and one of the common failure points are the dampers under the dash that direct air through the heater core. Specifically asked them to check the dampers. They said they would check them as part of the A/C diagnostic. Condition of vehicle when I picked it up: WORSE THAN WHEN WE DROPPED IT OFF!!!!!!!!! 1) It took 30 minutes for them to bring the car to the front so I could drive away!!!! 2) They did not check the A/C dampers I specifically asked them to check!!! AND told me that would be an additional service charge and additional hours in the shop!!! 3) The A/C system no longer cooled at all!!!! Remember, it had been working, but poorly. 4) A/C compressor clutch no longer engaging!!!! Remember, it had been functioning. 5) No refrigerant remaining in the system and no longer capable of holding a charge!!!!! 6) Claimed the refrigerant line that ran from the front of the car to the rear A/C unit needed to be replaced. Leaking. 7) Claimed the condenser coil in the front of the car had to be replaced. Leaking. Could it be possible they damaged the system? You be the judge!!!!!! The only reason I'm going back is to demand my money back!!!!!!! read more

My favorite part about this place is that they have Ladies 'nights' on first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month, which $20 synthetic oil changes for any female that goes in with a Toyota car. (This is an all day thing not only nights). Plus whenever you take in your car, they give you a complementary car wash. I have never have one complaint from this Toyota dealership. read more

So I went to another dealer in town. 6 months later I bought a battery from that other dealer because I would rather drive 50 miles to get quality service. Well, that battery died and I called the store where I bought the battery. I asked them if I could return the battery at the shakey head store. He said yes. Sure enough, I was denied the warranty service at the Olathe location. He studdered something about "original paperwork ". I had my receipt. They flat out lied. I originally had no qualms with this dealership's service department until today. I own a 2007 Camry Hybrid. I usually get synthetic oil on my car. I received in the mail about a recall on Camry models to have the brake reservoir replaced. Along with perfect timing, my oil needed to be replaced so I set an appointment online to have my oil changed, the recall done, and also the transmission flushed too since the mechanic told me that I will need to get that changed soon. I get a call back from the service department to confirm my appointment. His name was either Matt or David. We went over some details about the repairs being made since the recall can take up to 4 hours to complete which is why I wanted to do it on a Saturday. After the service rep completed some work, he told me that the recall can't be done on a weekend since the technicians will be gone. That was fine, I could reschedule that later. So the rep started to talk about the oil change. He asked me if I wanted the same oil change which was conventional. I told him that I usually requested synthetic. He told me that the last two times I came in, I had conventional done but the oil change before the last two, I had synthetic. He started to lecture me about how bad it is to switch between the two which I already knew. I told him that I usually opt for synthetic. I told him that I am shocked that I haven't gotten synthetic. I thought they usually would see that I got synthetic and would continue to replace it with synthetic. Now, I am hesitant to continue to go back there if I am being scammed in a way which I told the rep. He told me that he wasn't able to see the prices so that he couldn't confirm what was ordered at the last three times when I was serviced. He said that a supervisor would call me back. I got a voicemail so I returned the call. The supervisor picked up and I told him that I was returning a call. He said that it was him (his name is Tim). There was an awkward silence since I thought he knew about the situation which he didn't, so then I had to explain the story again. He looked up my history to see what I was charged. He did confirm that I did get synthetic but the last two times, I got conventional. He said that I had to request that every time to make sure the mechanic knows and that the price would be more. To me, that was a no biggie. He started to lecture me about how it was better to have conventional anyway since my car is close to 106000 miles and that if I switched to synthetic, it would be harder on the engine and the seals. I asked if that was the case, how come no one said anything when the car initially had synthetic and then was switched to conventional? He answered that he worked as a mechanic and had more experience so he couldn't confirm why the other reps didn't tell me the same thing he was telling me. He said that since it was my car, I could do whatever I want. If I wanted to still do synthetic, I can but it would be more taxing on my car. Well, if they know what is better for my car or for Toyota cars in general, how come they didn't say anything? Do they even say anything for other consumers? Last time I went, I got the full service inspection since the car hit over 100,000 miles. I was really worried since the way the supervisor came off was like, you can order whatever you want on the car, since it is your car. We won't say what is good or bad for it. So if you compare a situation where you go to the doctor's office and you want certain prescribed medicine, would your doctor try to convene by telling you which drugs would be beneficial or harmful to you? Or would the doctor say, since it is your body, you can order whatever you want since doctor does not own your body and have no say in it. To me, that seems like this Toyota dealership doesn't care that they take your money yet when I was in there last time for the full service inspection, they kept telling me that all these parts and fluids need to be changed and replaced. Now I am hesitant to return there and continue to pay them since there are all these horror stories about dealerships and car shops always scamming you. I am now trying to see if other Toyota dealerships are more up front than this one. read more

Last year, my mother leased a car from this dealership. As many of you know, if you damage the car in any way you have to pay it back when you return the car. My mother was getting regular maintenance done, an oil change specifically. When they drove the car out, there was a big scratch on the back on top of the rear tire. When she asked to see the security tapes, to prove that the scratch was not done by her, she was told that she would need to speak with the manager. However, the manager wasn't there coincidentally. After days of trying to contact the manager and get the security footage, no one has helped her since. This dealership does not own up to their own mistakes and their staff is very impolite and not very forthcoming. Rest assured, after this lease is complete, we are not doing any business with these cheaters. read more

I have been a patron off and on of this dealership for service for the last couple of years and have not always been impressed. When I have a positive experience, it's because the service has not taken as long as they said it would and/or they don't try to sell me on further issues. If something sounds too expensive, I go to Midas, because I know Toyota is charging me for labor and Midas will often do the same service for less. As for sales...recently I purchased a new vehicle out of necessity. This was the fourth dealership I went to and my sales guy, Kendall, was AWESOME. He didn't try to be my best friend, he didn't try to sell me hard on the Toyota brand; he just answered my questions honestly and succinctly. The rest of the staff there were great throughout the whole sales process, all the way from the finance guy to the gal upstairs who handed me my receipt of sales. Well, this is probably the worst sales experience I have had in a while. My husband and I began our search a few months ago for a (new to us) car. Our families are "Toyota families", so my first inclination was to check out this dealership. Anyway, we test drove ONE car, and this particular salesman was pretty anxious to sell it to us. We explained to him that we wanted to see what else was available, and that we'd feel pretty foolish buying the very first car we test drove, after only just beginning our search. After inquiring about another vehicle on the lot, he told us that he couldn't let us test drive anything else if we weren't serious about buying that day. Wow!
