This review is mainly for the service and repair department. Their sales team is very friendly and patient with me. I had to opportunity to work with Bob and Keegan with test driving Toyota in the cold January weather. They were very patient with me and I didn't feel I was harassed or rushed to purchase a vehicle. I would highly recommend any one to buy a car from them. But their service and repair department is less than satisfactory. This is a Toyota service and I am paying extremely steep prices for genuine Toyota parts and service. I am expecting, above all, reliable service. For the three times that I've been there, what I got out was wrong parts, poor service, and miss informed employees. First incident, on 2/1/14, I went in to buy a touch up paint for my newly purchased 2014 Venza. I talked to the parts department and asked for the Attitude Black touch up paint. The parts employee gave me this blank look as if I don't know what I'm talking about and told me he doesn't have it. I continued to ask how many type of black are there for a 2014 Venza? So he went to the back to check and came out and told me he found it. I took it home, opened the container only to find that color to be clear. I checked the container and no where does it say its color. I thought to myself, I paid $$$$$ and got it from the dealer surely they know what they're doing, maybe this is a "magic paint" and I need to shake extra hard to break the dye vial. But after several repetitions, it was still clear. I took it back the same day and told the guy that sold me the paint. I told him that there's nothing on the bottle to indicated that it's black and he continue to ask if it was was well shaken. He tried it out himself only to find that it was still clear. He went to the back again and came back with the proper container that was labeled "Attitude Black" and sincerely apologized for the mistake. At this point, it wasn't a big deal, he apologized and I accepted. So I thought nothing of it. Second incident, on 3/25/14, I went back to purchase an oil filter for my new vehicle because Mobil1 haven't come out with the oil filter for this new model. So I figured for the first one I'll stock up and save the filter for maintenance later. The parts guy (different than the previous encounter) came out and pointed to the one that I need. Soon after he went to the back chatting and laughing with his co-workers, unfortunately, I needed something else so I had to wait for him to come out of the back and get his attention to ask him another question. At this point, I really miss the guys at Advance Auto, O'rielly's, and Autozone with their friendly and professional service, who are always there at the counter, where as here it's anything but that, especially I am paying dealer price. Third incident, on 3/31/14, I called to ask if I can have a couple modifications done on my new Toyota. I've already research everything on the Toyota Forum and everyone on there had pointed out that I need Toyota software at the dealer to make these modifications. So I called their service department and was told that I need to read my manual with a slight frustration in her voice. I rechecked the manual and called back to point out that the manual explicitly pointed out that only the dealer can make the modifications that I am requesting. She responded that she was new and didn't know what's going on. At this point, after the screw up, I was still willing to work with her and asked politely how much it would cost for me to make the mods. After hearing "maybe" $150 (because she wasn't sure) for (max of) 15 min of work that hook up the PC to my car and click off a couple options, I realized that this service just isn't worth it. This is poor service and management by this particular dealership. Why would you put a new employee without proper training to help customers and in the end I'd be paying for steep prices with the wrong service. Why be open at all if you can't answer any questions, you should just close the door and open on Monday with the proper staff. I felt like this would be going in to get my oil replaced only to find that I'm paying for new tires! Yesterday (4/2/14), I went to the Toyota dealership in Lawrence to get the modifications done. Sure, I have to drive 40 miles away but they honored ALL Toyota cars to service them and didn't even charge me. While I was waiting, I even had a friendly chat with the parts employee. The service in Lawrence Toyota was friendly, professional, and reliable. To me, they seemed to know what they were talking about. Where as the service in Olathe Toyota, for the three times that I've been there, they kept pointing me towards wrong parts, poor service, and unreliable information which is complete FAILURE. Wasted a lot of time at this dealer today. not only did the sales guy tell me my daughter was high risk.with 750 Fico, Sales guy talked down to me like I did not know what I was talking about. Worked with Clayton who was nice enough although the vehicle was misrepresented in the add. Trailer package, nope. Blue tooth, nope. Sirus radio, nope. In the add the Jeep had a nice tire cover that hid the miss matching spare wheel...somehow that tire cover went missing between listing and me closing on the Jeep. They did cut a check to buy a Tire cover, but not before a light came on the dash less than a week after purchase. When I brought the Jeep in they had to keep it, it's now at a different shop with "wiring issues" per Adam in Service and will be keeping it for a while, he also tried to point out that they have spent $300 in diagnostic like I'm supposed to jump for joy. At this point I wanted out of the vehicle, between misrepresentation and mechanical issues after paying sticker price on a vehicle feels weird. This is a buyer be aware. On October 31, 2018, I ordered an Actuator Assembly; Order #100769; Part Number: 47050-35030 after I spoke with Zach Gertler to confirm this part was an OEM, not a rebuilt part. I received the part on November 3, 2018. I took the part to the Toyota Dealership Service Department that was working on my vehicle on November 5, 2018, that is listed below: AutoNation Toyota Mall of Georgia ATTN: Todd Starnes (Service Director) 3505 Buford Drive Buford, GA 30519 855-482-7726 On November 6, 2018, when they install the part in my vehicle the Service Advisor informed me the part was defective. The part was not pumping properly. I informed the Service Advisor that the part was under warranty and that it came from a Toyota Parts Center. After the Service Advisor spoke with his Parts Manager, they agreed to honor the warranty for a replacement part. But this is the problem. The Service Department charged double the cost of repair for my vehicle because they had to install the part twice. This was no fault to the customer. I called the Toll Free: 1-866-596-1970 numerous times for assistance, but with little results. The original cost for labor was $648.99, they charged me $1,186.99. The Toyota Parts Center sold me a defective part and refuse to take ownership of the extra $538.00 labor cost. I would never recommend anyone to purchase any part from this Parts Center. The parts they sell are rebuilt. They file a complaint with the BBB and filed a dispute with my bank to get my refund for the extra labor cost. read more

This review only pertains to their parts/service manager (Tom) and their customer service relations manager (Kim). I purchased suspension parts from their online store for my 08 Tundra. The parts included: front/rear shocks, front lowering springs and rear leaf springs. When the parts arrived everything was packaged except the rear leaf springs, Fedex said this was due to their weight. However they were also bare, they should have been at least wrapped in cellophane. The only parts that I had an issue with were the rear leaf springs. I had everything installed at an independent mechanic (ASE Certified) that works exclusively on truck suspensions (The local dealership wanted to charge me almost twice as much). After the installation was complete and the truck was realigned there was a significant bed vibration issue that could not be corrected with the pinion shims provided in the parts that I ordered. In addition to the vibration my truck was also bottoming out on speed bumps, driveways, etc. My truck is my daily driver so I needed to have this problem fixed immediately and after further research I found a rear flip kit (uses factory leaf springs) from another manufacturer. I ordered and had it installed within a week. It fixed all of the issues that I was having from the rear leaf springs that I ordered from Olathe Toyota. After fixing my truck I contacted the parts department at Olathe Toyota and they couldn't offer me any technical advice regarding the issues I was having or accept a return for the defective/inferior parts. So I contacted Toyota Corporate and filed a complaint explaining my situation. They called Kim the customer service relations manager at Olathe Toyota and left message explaining my situation. They told me I should expect a call back from her within 3 business days, but I didn't. So I called Toyota Corporate back and they said they would leave another message and to let them know if I didn't receive a call back. A day later I received a call from not Kim, but Tom their parts/service manger. You would think that given her title she would take the time to refer me to Tom instead of just handing me off without notice. Anyways he basically said the same thing the other parts employee had told me that they can't accept the return. He blamed the independent mechanic I used saying that they installed them incorrectly. I offered to give him their phone number so he could discuss the it with them, but he declined. I told him that there should be a disclaimer with the rear leaf springs letting potential customers know how it will affect the ride of their vehicle. He said he would contact Toyota Corporate and see if they would accept the return and call me back with an update. 3 days later I got a voice mail from Tom saying that Toyota Corporate won't accept the return. He didn't even bother to offer any other solutions. So I called Toyota Corporate to follow up and they said that all returns are only accepted through dealerships. Which makes sense seeing as dealerships are all independently owned and operated. So Tom basically lied to buy himself some time hoping that I would give up. Olathe Toyota isn't located in my state so small claims court isn't really an option for me, but I hope that anyone who reads my review can avoid being taken advantage of by the dishonest business practices at this dealership. By the way here is a breakdown of my total loss: -TRD Rear Leaf Spring $230 x 2 = $460 -Shipping (Roughly) = $75 -Installation 1.5 hrs @ $95 per hour = $142.50 -Removal 1.5 @ $95 per hour = $142.50 Grand Total= $820 Not to mention the additional cost of the flip kit and installation. read more

I stopped in once to check out a Highlander and met a salesman named Micah. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. The dealership didn't bother me with a bunch of phone calls or surveys after stopping in, which seems to be rare. The only complaint was their website says one thing and their actual inventory is another. I understand things change but this is more about advertising cars that are at other dealerships in other states. I never got into the purchasing part due to product availability. read more

Olathe Toyota touts their free lifetime warranty as a big differentiator. But here's what you should know: You must keep complete, precise records on EVERY bit maintenance -- oil changes, tire rotations, coolant inspections, brake inspections, everything. Also, you must not go over 1000 miles past any scheduled maintenance. If something goes wrong, work on the car cannot begin until the problem has been reported by your mechanic, the maintenance records are reviewed by WASCO (the third-party company that provides the warranty), and WASCO agrees that the quoted price is fair (this may require an "inspection" by their personnel). I provided documentation going back six years, starting three months after I bought my car. I was missing documentation on nine oil changes and a few other standard inspections, plus I had gone "over" by a few hundred miles on one oil change and one spark plug replacement. My $2400 claim was denied, and my car sat for two full days in the shop (and I paid for a rental car) while we worked through all this. Dawn, the customer service manager at Olathe Toyota, was sympathetic to my situation and tried to intervene with WASCO, but it did no good. Olathe Toyota offered to do the work "at cost" but it was nearly the same as my other mechanic's original estimate. The bottom line is that a "lifetime warranty" sounds great, and I understand the need to verify that the car has been properly maintained. But the requirements are SO stringent, I cannot imagine that they actually pay out on even 1 percent of the claims. The people and process of buying at Olathe Toyota were both fine. It pains me to ding them with a low review based on a third-party vendor, but it's the result of what I feel to be a rather empty marketing ploy that only served to frustrate me and waste my time. I would rather have NOT had a "warranty" and just paid out of pocket from the beginning. My hope is that Olathe Toyota continues to work on making these requirements much clearer at the time of purchase. My bad for not reading the fine print more carefully, for sure ... BUT their bad for spotlighting the heck out of the warranty but NOT the requirements to take advantage of it. read more

Well, this is the worst calling experience I have to schedule my factory service. I tried to schedule my service appointment and request needing a courtesy ride back to worka nd pick up when teh car is done. This front service lady who handle my call at 1030am on Feb 1 2018, whoever she is told me the apointment is pretty open at 1040am onward and last courtesy ride is 430pm. I told her if I drop my car during lunch and i believe it will be done by 430pm. She told me have to wait till the service manager called me to confirm. All the sudden she said next availalable service is 1pm. Well I told her that you mentioned just few minutes ago it was 1040am and onward. The, she said could you make in 5 minutes. Come one, Toyota. PLEASE have your front line trained professionally!!! This is not the best way to deal with their customer. That should be better way to educate tehir employee what no 1 service is and how to do it. My WORST experience ever purchasing a new car. Quentin (the virtually clueless salesman), Yo the dishonest manager), Victoria (delivery supervisor?), and the finance manager, a rude male who made it seem that he was doing me a favor by letting me purchase a car from the dealer: were rude, dishonest, ungrateful and unfriendly from start to finish. I'm guessing you're thinking why did I buy a car from them if this was my experience? The honest answer is they had the car in stock that I was looking for. No other Toyota dealer in the Kansas City area had the make, model and color that I wanted at that time. Upon delivering my car, I noticed chips on the hood. They gave me a "I owe you" to come back and have them fixed at a later date. Additionally upon delivery they spent very little time and were annoyed that I had questions about all the new technology in the 2019 RAV4 and rushed me out of the dealer. When I returned to have the ding fixed on the hood, they told me they would update me as to when the car would be ready. Thirty minutes before they wanted their loaner car back, I was given a call and said to bring the loaner in ASAP as they had to have it back that night. Upon inspection of the hood of my brand new car, the chips had not been filled and were just as visible as when I dropped the car off.. Victoria told me that that was the best they could do. So my warning to you is if you want to purchase a new Toyota in Kansas City and want to be treated honestly and with respect go elsewhere!! read more

Bought a 2015 car 2 years ago (i. e. in 2017). Bought a service contract with it, 6 years. "Little" issue with the service contract that they didn't tell me about: they dated it 3 months BEFORE I bought the car, thus screwing me out of 3 months of warranty. Said that was when the car was "placed in service." I never thought to look at how they dated the contract, just noted what they did. Just another way these dealers nickel and dime you. I took our 2004 Sienna in for service because we had a wheel bearing going out on one of the front wheels. They quickly had a tech do a ride-along to confirm the noise I was hearing then I was on my way. Got a call later in the day and they let me know that my brakes were under the minimum tolerances along with a couple of other "recommended" service items. The service writer talked me through what needed to be done now and what was optional - in his opinion - and on we went. When I picked up the car later that day, after having a wheel bearing assembly replaced, all four brake pads + turned rotors, oil change and tire rotation, I had a healthy total of over $1200. Gulp! However, the service writer checking me out gave me great perspective when she said, "That's about 3 car payments and now your (paid for) van is in great shape." This little gesture was actually much appreciated! However, as I was driving home, I realized that in the process somewhere, the alignment had gotten tweaked and I had to have my steering wheel pointed slightly to right to keep my car going straight. It wasn't pulling to one side or the other, just the steering wheel was off center. I immediately called the service dept. and the woman I spoke with was very apologetic for the inconvenience and asked me to bring it back in and promised they would take care of it. Sure enough, the next morning, I drove it in and in the midst of a very busy morning, they squeezed me in and performed a full alignment, fixed the problem and charged me nothing! They even ran my van through their car wash as little added touch. These guys took two difficult situations (a big repair bill, then an extra problem) and turned it into two extremely positive experiences! Ok-so I waited 24 hours to see if Olathe Toyota would make any attempt to make it right-but they haven't. I had made a deal to buy a car with them on Thursday. They sent over the sales agreement to my credit union and I made arrangements to pick up the car the next morning. When I called to say I was on my way-they said they were "just getting ready to call me" and that they sold it! I talked to the sales manager and he would not make it right. He just said "the decision has been made". When the people were still there signing papers. My bank already had the sales agreement and I had already signed all the loan papers-i had check in hand and they were selling it to someone else. All I can think is the people offered them more money and they jumped at it. The sales manager said "you had the opportunity to use our financing yesterday-maybe you should have". I asked to talk to the owner of the dealership and was told that they didn't know when he would be in again and wouldn't give me a contact information for him. I left my name and number at the desk but didn't expect a response after their comments-so I messaged in Facebook. He called me within 5 minutes. While I appreciate that he said he was sorry-he just said he didn't know what he could do at this point the car was gone-but I could buy any other one on their lot if I wanted. The salesman lied about things to the manager and the manager refused to look at the text messages I had from him. Olathe Toyota is completely unethical and I honestly don't understand how this was even legal, but they seem to think it was. Don't go to this dealer unless you really need to. I bought a 2012 4Runner from this dealer only because they offer corporate discount price to the company employees I work at. When I picked up my car, the check from my bank was sitting on their desk for two days until I brought a FedEx delivery receipt to them. Now I am waiting on a letter from them for the Proof of Vehicle purchase so that I can take it to DMV and register the car. It's been a week and half and no letter arrived yet although they told me it will take a week. I also placed an order for wheel locks on the day I picked up my car which is supposed to take a week. I called them up and they don't know what happened to the order. I worry about my future warranty and two year maintenance service they said they will provide to me. I have to start looking for other Toyota dealer where I can get those service from. I don't think I can/will trust their work on my car. Very very unresponsive and don't care dealer. 99% sure someone at Kenny Thomas Olathe Toyota stole my credit card information. I ordered a product from their parts department website... which, looking back now, is uses unsecured credit card processing. (My mistake for ordering from them.) A few days after making the purchase, my credit card (which I had not used in months aside from the part purchase at Kenny Thomas Olathe Toyota) was stolen and an attempt was made to purchase travel in Europe. When my part arrived, the folks at Kenny Thomas Olathe Toyota included a receipt ... which they ran as a Phone Order. If you are unclear how merchant account processing works -- secure internet orders are processed without the merchant seeing your credit card number. Phone orders require knowing the entire credit card number and you will see an "Entry Method: Manual" on the receipt. Definitely would not do business with their parts department again. I guess the good thing is my credit card company caught it so the fraudulent purchase was stopped. The other good thing was Kenny Thomas Olathe Toyota at least sent the correct part. read more

I think it is very poor business to sell someone a car and extended maintenance plan telling them that you provide a loaner vehicle and then change your policy. I was in fact told that with that I would always get a loaner vehicle. I have brought my car to you 3 times before today and was provided a loaner. Now you tell me you cannot do that because some people do not return it. Well I have returned it 3 times with less than 5 miles on it each time. I do not want to keep your car when I have a much nicer one. You tell me that you know that I have gotten a loaner in the past, so it seems to reason that you also know I have returned it in the same condition each time. I am very disappointed in your lack of honesty. I have only had the car for 1 year and now have to go through this for several more years. You want loyal customers you are going to have to do better than this!!!! I think they have lost my business and all of my friends and family. There are other Toyota dealerships around!! read more

So i brought my car to get fixed because we had no heater.So we brought it to olathe toyota and they gave me a diagnostic and estimate for the price a week later they gave it back every thing went well and it still didn't have a heater we let them fix it again and now we have no heater and no air conditioner! They broke something and messed it up i say no don't even bring your car because. They will take away your money and they wont get the job done these people are cheap i was talking to one of the managers and i said it still doesn't work and they said "its not our problem!" Never again! I've been to Olathe Toyota's service department three times. The first time was to diagnose a check engine light. They said it was probably the gas cap and sold me a $30 gas cap and another $50 to look at it. That didn't fix the issue. I did some research and it was the oxygen sensor on the exhaust manifold. I replaced it myself in about 10 minutes. The next visit was for an oil change. Had a coupon for the oil change and tire rotation. 90 minutes later,I got my car and they didn't rotate the tires. Said there was no need (to which I disagreed). Wouldn't take the coupon because they didn't rotate tires. My last visit topped them all. Waited 90 minutes for an oil change. Drove home and packed the car to go to the lake over memorial weekend. When we got back, we parked in the driveway that week. My wife eventually noticed oil spots all over the driveway. Made an appointment and went back to Olathe Toyota. Waited a full hour before they had time to look at the issue. It was a loose oil drain plug. They didn't tighten the oil drain plug during the oil change. Lost two hours getting their mistake fixed. Oil has stained the new driveway. Olathe Toyota is always overbooked. They don't take the time to do things right because they are always behind. The customer is normally wrong and they lie to your face and then overcharge you. Stay away! read more

My son bought a used car here after his was totaled from someone hitting him and on the way home it popped up 3 codes, emailed our sales man as it was after hours they called the next day to have us bring the car in for diagnostics so we set an appointment for that. They gave us a rental that he could not drive cause he is not old enough so I was having to drive him 45 mins one way to take him to college and come home to work then back to pick him up. They charged me to fix the seat belt that either they or the previous owner disconnected the adjuster under the seat. They had the car for almost an month and told us it was fixed drove all the way there from visiting my dying grandpa in the hospital cause she was pretty adamant about me getting that rental back as we live an hour and 20 mins away and started to drive home and it popped the code again turned around drove back and got the rental again then they sent it to the Mercedes dealer and they supposedly fixed it and did not as it popped the code again on the way home and then we were told too bad call Mercedes as it is on them now. If you want a used car that is a total lemon and like to just piss away money then you found the right place. We asked several times as the codes are safety related if we could just have our money back as this car is not safe for anyone to drive and we were told they would make it right if they could not get the car fixed and they did not. I will never go here again for any car buying and I will keep telling everyone I know not to go here. read more

I contacted, Olathe & forwarded the emails from Legends, Olathe said they would give me the same deal. We worked everything out on the phone, he got approval from his manager. I said I did not want to drive over unless it was a guaranteed done deal and he assured me it was. I got to Olathe after driving 45 minutes through pouring rain and heavy traffic in KANSAS (I hate driving in Kansas) and they of COURSE then told me they couldn't do the deal we agreed on but they could do this OTHER deal (that was several thousand dollars more than what we had agreed to). Isn't bait and switch still illegal people? They flat-out LIED to me on the phone to get me in there, then went back on their word once I arrived. They wanted me to waste time talking to the manager and try to "work it out"- so sorry, but we already did that and you just called it off after I drove all this way. I wouldn't take their car now if they gift wrapped it, dropped it in my driveway, and gave it to me free. I walked out after telling them (I admit a little loudly) that I didn't appreciate being lied to or tricked and I wasn't some sucker who would take whatever crap deal they gave me just because I had driven out there. First off I want to point out that Jack Wagner is the best service consultant I have ever had. This review is not for the service department, who I always had great experiences with. Having my car repairs done at this dealership was great. However, this review is for the sales department who I am truly dissappointed in. First off I have spent thousands of dollars repairing and maintaing my '89 Toyota Supra at Olathe Toyota. So when I was ready for a brand new car, this is the first place I thought of. I made an online inquiry on the 2016 Scion tC, my sales rep who contacted me seemed nice, but we kept missing eachother due to schedules. I went to the dealership to pick up my Supra and while I was there I wanted to inquire about a car. There were 4 sales reps standing outside and only one of them came to talk to me. I told him I wasn't officially working with Josh just due to our schedules and I wanted assistance today. He told me 3 times to just come back some other time, I stated that I lived pretty far and did not want to make a trip. He acted as though he didn't want to sell me a car, in fact nobody in sales looked like they wanted to be there. Finally I Johannes (who was not standing around outside earlier) came to help me. Very kind! I enjoyed speaking with him, but when it came down to trading in my car and the financing he couldn't help me. His boss (not sure on name) told me they would only give me a $1000 for my Supra. I was pretty insulted since the car's only flaw is faded paint. My Supra is selling for $4k now. They couldn't ever give me an answer on financing and never called me back to let me know if I was approved. Also, when I told the Main Manager that I did not agree on the trade in, he just brushed me off and very rudely said "sorry" and acted like "tough luck kid,take it or leave it" attitude. I may be young but I am well established in my career, and because they choose to treat me like a child and did not care to work out a sale, I am now the proud owner of 2016 Turbo Veloster from Shawnee Hyundai. More horsepower, turbo, nicer car all around and for less than the '16 tC. Hyundai worked so well with me that I didn't even know car buying could be that easy! Not to mention they knew the value of my Supra and gave me wayyyyy more for my trade in. Olathe should change their attitude on the sales side. A shame I can't continue to work with their service department who I really enjoyed. read more

However if you are among the 99.9% of people in the world who prefer to do business with honest people who are dedicated to customer service and satisfaction then I strongly suggest that you look elsewhere. My experience? Saturday: Went in the late AM to look at the Toyota Venza at Kenny Thomas Toyota in Olathe, KS. Decided we liked the vehicle and gave my trade in info. for evaluation. Casey Williams (in charge of trade in evaluation) proceeded to appraise my vehicle while my family and I waited inside. After about two hours of waiting we weren't being given our trade in evaluation so we mentioned checking out other dealerships in the area which is what we proceeded to do. I called my salesperson later to see what Casey was going to offer me on my trade but Casey Williams refused to give me the info. for reasons unknown. Sunday: Called Kenny Thomas Olathe Toyota in AM, still wouldn't give me a number on my trade in. Casey Williams wanted me to share what number another dealership offered me on my trade so I proceeded to give him this info., again he still would not give me a number so I advised Casey and my salesperson that if they wanted to make a deal with me they could call me when they are ready to stop "playing games" (Casey's terminology) with me and give me my trade in evaluation. I was called twice more on Sunday by the salesperson asking "When are you going to come in and make a deal?", "Are you ready to make a deal?" etc., etc. I advised that as soon as they were ready to give me my trade in evaluation (a number) that we could talk. By Sunday afternoon (about 4:00pm) my salesperson called back and said that Casey would like to know if I am ready to make a deal, I asked him to put Casey on the phone. I asked Casey to stop playing games and give me a number on my trade, he (finally) offered me $27,500, I told Casey at $27,750 I will do the deal, he agreed at $27,750 and I agreed to come in on Monday morning to wrap up the deal. Monday: I called my salesperson to let him know that we were on our way and asked him again (to be certain) about the deal ($27,750 for my trade and the Venza for $25,000) he confirmed once more. We get to the dealership, test drive a few vehicles (to be certain that we're making the right choice). By Monday afternoon we have made our choice (the Venza) and, after waiting for 3 hours while their staff that we were waiting on took personal phone calls, I was in finance signing away. I get to the point of payments and the payments weren't adding up to what I had figured (they were a bit higher) so I asked questions and found out that they had my trade listed for $27,500 and not the confirmed (3 times mind you) deal of $27,750. Casey was called into the finance office and proceeded to get rude and quite unprofessional right away and kept yelling, "It's $27,500, it's $27,500" over and over without ever giving me the opportunity to speak. This made me angry, not because of the measly $250 but because what he did was unethical, unprofessional and it was the principal of the matter. I immediately left the dealership, came outside and told my husband that we were leaving in our vehicle, my husband (after learning why I was upset) went back in and calmly told Casey Williams that he couldn't believe Casey was letting a deal walk out the door over a petty $250, Casey Williams proceeded to get right in my husband face and tell him, and I quote, "You people have been dicking us around for 4 days!" Seriously??? #1 Casey Williams "dicked" us around for 3 days by not giving my trade evaluation, #2 Is this how Kenny Thomas conducts business on a regular basis? By cheating people and then yelling in their faces when they are caught trying to cheat people? YES is the answer, that IS how they do business! As it turns out we aren't the only people that this scenario has happened to. So think before giving these low lives your business! In closing, I decided to take my business elsewhere- Molle Toyota where customers are treated with the respect and dignity that we deserve! Please note: Kenny Thomas Olathe Toyota has several negative reviews and pending lawsuits against them for similar behavior and I would be very skeptical of their "lifetime warranty" and wouldn't be shocked if it is through a fly by night warranty company. read more

Prior to purchasing a used Camry from an individual we had Thomas Olathe Toyota complete a full Used Car Inspection. Their standard inspection came back with flying colors so we went through with the purchase. Within 1 month we have had to get additional service 3 times. Ongoing maintenance on a used car is expected, but clearly could have been avoided if the Used Car Inspection by Toyota would have been completed accurately and thoroughly. Items on Olathe Toyota's inspection checklist marked "in good order" turned out to be in poor shape resulting in additional costs for services both costly and inconvenient. Olathe Toyota would not give a refund for the their Used Car Inspection even though it was clearly incomplete. read more

This is the place! These are the people that give car salespeople a bad name. Unethical and uncaring, they are just out to make a buck no matter what the expense to you. I'm in the market for a car so I go in thinking, "Hey, Toyotas should be really safe now. Right?" Well, I'm sure they are safe as far as the cars go. But, hold on to your pocketbook, 'cause you're about to get robbed! Get this, the salesman (wish I could remember his name) told me he could get me a loan for 26%. Yep, you read that right. I know I look young and stupid, but seriously?? I laughed and left. I went back the next week just out of curiousity, having already decided on a Honda. Very disappointed in their Service Department. I've had 2 cars serviced at this dealership since 2004 and their is no loyalty program. I would expect by having $1000.00 worth of work done in one setting they would have the courtesy to apply the discounts posted on their website. What is the incentive to continue having service done at the dealership where both vehicles were purchased? If I hadn't done a quick search while sitting in the waiting room I would have paid full price. read more

I took my 2009 4Runner for an oil service recently and everyone in the service department was a very friendly and accomodating. Check-in and check-out process was smooth and both Jack and Rich were very helpful in assisting me get in and out of their facility with my young daughter and her bulky stroller. I had mentioned that my passenger side fog light was out and they found that it had been disconnected, and didn't charge me since it was covered under warranty. This was welcomed news, after all the suspicions that I had of my previous Toyota service team in Washington state [the light didn't work immediately after I had them (WA state) service the vehicle and also didn't reset the maintenance light). I have no hesitations about going back to see them for service. (Or sales, since my husband bought his Tundra with them three years ago and had a good experience with them). read more

If I could give them a big, fat 0 I would. When I first contacted Olathe Toyota about the problem, I was referred to Jay Wolf Toyota which is where they got the car. The person I talked to there worked with me and advised I connect again with Olathe Toyota since they sold me the car. Talk about lack of customer service. You don't say to your clients when they call about a problem "You bought the car 2 years ago, what do you want us to do about it." I called Jay Wolf Toyota back and they worked with me. They contacted the local company that installed the running boards for them. I give Jay Wolf Toyota a 5+ for their customer service and that is where I will go to buy my next Toyota. I will also never refer Olathe Toyota to anyone. In fact, I have described my experience already to a number of people, including the mechanic shop that services my car and first identified the problem for me. read more

This evening I attended a group meeting for new Toyota owners. "BIG MISTAKE" First they offered a complimentary car wash! Car was returned to a parking space at the north end of the lot. "IT APPARENTLY NEVER OCCURED TO THE DRIVER THAT IT WAS PARKED IN A HANDICAPPED SPACE FOR A REASON" The headlight control had been changed form the setting I had it on. Apparantly it couldn't be washed with the headlights set on automatic? The drivers seat had been readjusted. The driver must have been at least seven feet tall!! The radio volume was turned up to 27. I normally keep it at 16! The building was designed to be a car dealership where most relationships are one on one so you can stand next to the person speaking. The acoustic are such that if you are more that 5 feet from a person it is impossible to hear and understand them. I never had a problem when I was dealing with the salesman when I bought the car but when you get 30 or so people in the room, all talking at once, you can't nderstand what any of them are saying. i am extremely pleased with the service rendered from start to finish.Tom blackman was superb in his effort ro provide best service to my car. overall Service staff is so professional, and takes the time to explain the minute details what they are doing. they asked me to sit and they fixed the several problem which include Brake, oil chnage, tuning of the car etc, after service, i drive the car, engine tunned up great. brakes were perfect. thanks to Tom, taking care of my car. i am extremely satisfied and will do busines again. read more

Olathe Toyota is the best. Our salesman actually listened to us. After showing us several cars he said I think I know just what you want and I will bring it around for you.
